I've found you all, Oh thank goodness - have slipped and fallen badly badly badly!!!!!!!!!! Am finally back on MFP having put on 7 of the 14 pounds I lost on joining!
am going to join myself to your list!

ladydeedy · 03/10/2011 21:43

Hi colette - yes I would aim for slow but steady loss and not be worried or constrained about deadlines! that's added stress which you dont need, and if you allow yourself longer then you'll find the journey easier and still get to your goals without aggro. I think on mfp I've said half a pound per week but actually it's working out that I'm losing v slightly more than that. So over the course of the summer have lost a stone which is making a HUGE difference to my life, my outlook, my shape and general health! Good luck!!
and Princess Royal - welcome!

colette · 03/10/2011 21:56

thanks ladydeedy . I will try to not be impatient
, well done on losing a stone !

prolificwillybreeder · 03/10/2011 22:12

Colette- not quite, had about 200 calories left.
I think high protein is the way to go. I don't know what protein I should be eating tbh. Any ideas? Carb at breakfast then protein lunch and dinner?
I should get out more with the buggy tbh.
Hope everyone is well.

ThePrincessRoyalFiggyrolls · 03/10/2011 22:14

(Was on the first thread and have slipped off for a couple of months!!!) Gilbonzo are you around?

ohijustdontknowanymore · 03/10/2011 22:18

Is getting quite excited as Zumba night tomorrow and looking forward to it already.

Done my wk2 run2 tonight also and covered 1.9miles and felt like a nice run.

Been feeling a little bloated all day but think that could be my IBS as end of quarter monitoring in work and it drives me mad.

Hope everyone doing well and looking forward to seeing WI results this week and hello to new MFP peeps x

I am liking the idea of Zumba. I am going to look for a local class I think :)

ohijustdontknowanymore · 05/10/2011 07:51

Zumba last night, friend bailed on me but I was brave and went solo. So glad I did I lvoed it again and it cheered me up.

Not loving the scales this morning it was midweek WI to see if on track and stating I have put on 2 ibs :-( so am now proper grumpy.

Fingers crossed by Friday official WI that I lose that 2ibs otherwise it feels like I am going backwards, then that's a danger for me as I think oh why bother and dont want to slip back to old ways.

Good luck everyone with WI's and exercise this week x

BagCrazy · 05/10/2011 08:39

Hi, i know im late but can i still join you on MFP. My MFP username is hats716. Plz tell me how to get on to your list.

Wifezilla · 05/10/2011 14:05

Hi BagCrazy - I've "friended" you on MFP, welcome :O)

ohijustdontknowanymore - I've done the same thing...I was really really good at the end of last week, pushed to do some additional exercise (on top of Insanity) and lost 3lb...a few days on and a couple of rubbish, but not massively excessive eating days and I'm back +2lb. I find it so annoying that I have to work so hard for every little lb lost. Just having a bit of a whinge - have been up numerous times in the night for the past few weeks with DS2 teething, and along with DS1 often waking for the day pre 6am I am exhaused.

Feeling better already after that little moan - I will formulate a plan of eating and exercise for the next week so I can at least feel I'm doing something positive (otherwise I'll just wallow) :o

I think I've added the newbies - I'm Sloth45 on MFP if there's anyone I've missed.

colette · 05/10/2011 19:43

Thanks wifezilla .

Wifezilla · 05/10/2011 22:27

ok, I have a 5 day plan now of exercise and eating (Dukan). Just making it public to ensure I actually follow it now... I started by having a night off exercise tonight :O)

ohijustdontknowanymore · 07/10/2011 07:41

Friday WI for me.

Lost 1ib don't know whether to smile or cry.

Am happy that I have had a loss as beginning of week felt so sluggish/heavy and didn't feel was getting anywhere, but have religiously stuck to my running, dancing and zumba and only a 1ib.

Just a little :-( as have so much weight to lose thought it would drop off.

The only thing I have done different this week is not drink my water first thing in the morning. So am going to make sure I start that again for the week ahead and see if makes any difference.

On a positive note have lost 4 inches from my waist :-)

Good luck everyone with WI's and hi ho back to water water water

afishcalledmummy · 07/10/2011 08:05

oijustdontknowanymore don't cry over 1lb weightloss - it's going the right way, and weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off!

I have had a bit of a wake-up call this week and have realised that I have slipped into some worrying habits when it comes to food and exercise. I was at a party at the weekend and chatted to a woman we know to have an eating disorder and found myself agreeing with a lot of her comments about food/exercise and found it quite worrying - I also had to work out for 2 hours that morning before I allowed myself to go to said party. I also considered that she was a lot smaller than me but seeing photos I see that there is not much between us and I have got to the point where my face won't look good with any more weight off. Another thing that made me realise I was being irrational was frantically googling menus of places we were going for lunch to see what I could eat - my sister noticed and commented on it and I realised that I was behaving like I did as a teenager.

I want to have a healthy relationship with food so I think I have to stop dieting and keep up with the exercise - thus being strong and healthy and maintaining a reasonable figure. I'm a size 10, and just over 9 1/2 stone, so not a heifer at all and the slippery slope I was on had me hankering to be an 8 or less and weighing less than other people, so posting weights on this thread wasn't helping me.

I wish all of you the best on your diets and health kicks and hope you get the results you all deserve.

Fish x

RGPargy · 07/10/2011 11:21

Hello everyone!!

I'm still here but have been cheating less active on my diet, due to one excuse thing or another!!

Hope everyone is well and please feel free to add me if you haven't done so already.

I'm still semi-logging on MFP so i'm still pretty active on there! :o

Another fitness weekender is coming up next week, which i'm really looking forward to! Typically the weather has turned cold again - i dont think i've ever been to Camber without it being bloody freeeeezing!! I hope we've got free electric so we can put the (inadequate) heaters on full blast! I might take a fan heater along, just in case......

ladydeedy · 07/10/2011 11:43

Tis flipping freezing here in berkshire - brrr!! What a change from a week ago!!
I went out for a run this morning mostly to warm up! Smile. I got my running things out last night and lay them on the floor by my bed so I just woke up, put them on and went out. That way I dont even have to think about it and it was only when I was half way up the hill that I thought "what the flip am I doing?!". Still, I felt GREAT when I got home and a hot shower with my favourite shower gel was just the ticket....
Cant say I would have the enthusiasm to do it later in the day otherwise...
Nice to see you RGPargy and I hope the weeknd is BRILL!!

RGPargy · 07/10/2011 16:06

Well done on the run, Ladydeedy!! You're a braver woman than me!! :o I like the comfort and warmth of my exercise studio lol :o

Wifezilla · 10/10/2011 10:16

Fish - not sure if you'll see this but well done on recognising when the dieting's going too far. It can be so easy to get carried away, but you're right in that working out for 2 hours before going to a party is going too far. Good luck :)
RGPargy your fitness weekends sound great!
Ladydeedy well done on getting out in the cold! The best bit of those runs for me is on reflection when I'm at home warm again!

I start the 2nd phase of Insanity tonight - not sure how much harder it could be but all of the workout titles begin with "max..." My diet is still up and down as usual, and I'm still 2lb heaver than my lowest last weekend. Confused

Here's to a successful week for us all!

Any weightloss is good - am proud of myself for 1.5lbs this week, week started well and midweek wi was around 4lbs off but big weekend etc and think this is my normal wl -am not happy but am happier that it has gone down. Now menu planning like mad, I use the goodfood recipes alot as they have main meals segregated by calorie if you want them so that is a good indicator and most are on MFP so that is good. Tonight is either Tilapia (when did that become so popular?????) with avocado salsa or a beef stir fry with rice noodles and loads of veg. With 2 meals planned (main for dh and I) I feel much better and am going to do 2 days in a row at a time to plan for my dietry wants needs Grin. Also have gone back to my old breakfast of smoked salmon (posh me Grin) on rye bread - you know the one you can't toast - and either cucumber or with quark instead of butter. This really filled me up last time I did it as am not keen on porridge and the likes.

I am getting back into the regime of mfp which is great as last time I lost 10lbs + in 1 month and though some crept back on it was because I wasn't being vigilant - so if I can do that and then half goes back on it is a better starting point for me but am hoping to be in it for the long term again. Got to be much thinner for dd's 4th birthday and reckon on 14lbs not being too hard (december!) so lets see Smile

RGPargy · 12/10/2011 11:42

Hello and welcome, secondcoming! Will add you. :)

Figgy - your food sounds lovely! Am actually looking forward to getting back on track on Monday. Just need to get the weekender out of the way first as this will involve lots of exercise and more importantly, tons of alcohol (hopefully!) and probably a lot of junk food thrown in too. :o

I am going to read my Paul McKenna book as i've not read it before and have only listened to one or two of the tracks on the CD, before falling fast asleep! Blush

Wifezilla · 12/10/2011 19:47

Hi TheSecondComing, and welcome!
If you search under "add food" for breastfeeding, you will find many options. I think generally +300 cal/day is allowed for feeding over 6 months. I'm breastfeeding DS2 (9 months) but usually forget to include the breastfeeding calories. I'm pretty sure I've read on here that you shouldn't eat less than 1500 cal/day when b'feeding. Hopefully someone else can confirm that for you :)

QueenStromba · 12/10/2011 22:21

Hello everyone. Like Figgyrolls, I was on the first thread and lost my way. I lost about a stone last time and put most of it back on. I've been using MFP again for almost 4 weeks and have lost about 12 pounds which puts me to just under where I was before I was tempted by Paul McKenna. I'm QueenStromba on MFP if anyone would like to add me.

piellabakewell · 12/10/2011 23:10

Hello all...just added some friend requests on MFP so thought I'd better check in on here too so you don't all go 'who?!'

Day 4 of 30DS done and hoping I might actually lose some weight this week. I really would like to get below 60kg by the end of the month but I've hovered between 60 and 62 for the last TWO MONTHS!!

KittyChat · 12/10/2011 23:42

Hello everyone, would you accept a friend request from a humble newbie?

Had a baby three months ago but have always been overweight. I'm now the heaviest I have ever been at 88kg :(

I'm quite good at exercising but terrible at overeating and have a chronic sweet tooth, so have joined MFP to try and shame me into sorting myself out.

In a horrid twist of fate, I have a DP who strugges to keep weight on and people are constantly telling him to eat more. Angry So I load his plate up every night and really have to stop myself from following suit!

Right, am going to add a couple of you. And if you'd like to add me, I'm doodlebrain.
