I'll miss you forever I've requested you on FB. My initials are FB. You have been so encouraging and inspiring and have been on this journey for a similar time to me. I still have 15kgs or just over 2st to go so I'll be logging for a while yet but I too want to get to the point when it doesn't consume me and is just something I do.
Good luck for your triathlon!!!
I did run 1 week 6 of C25K today and it felt good. I did my first brick training yesterday which was really hard but I now know I can do it so it can only get better.

ohijustdontknowanymore · 25/09/2011 09:15

Hi

Forever on a diet - Just reading your stats is an inspiration and encouragent for me to cotinue as 4 stone is what I have left to lose.

Good luck with you triathlons and all your cometitions in the future xxx

Wifezilla · 26/09/2011 10:26

Thanks Forever, for all of your advice and inspiration - it really has been a huge help. Your stats are amazing and just show what is possible. Good luck with your triathlons - I may see you at the London Marathon next year :o

I have really fallen off the wagon big time in the past 4 days as we had friends staying and I just didn't have time to exercise. No excuse for hovering up all the food I could find though...but today is Monday and I'm back on track with both food and continuing the Insanity workouts. I'm also 2lb up so desperate to lose that asap to get back to my plateau :)

afishcalledmummy · 26/09/2011 12:28

Well done forever - that's such impressive work! Thank you for your help and advice on this board, I think it's super that you're so willing to patiently steer us all in the right direction!

I didn't do too badly on holiday, unless you count all the feta I had on my salads.... and the glasses of wine in the evenings.... but seriously, it was a holiday and I thought dieting whilst there would make me borderline insane, though I didn't go nuts and blow out, I just ate like a normal person. We did lots of mountain biking and watersports and threw in a few swims and runs whilst there and kept on the exercise track, so much so that my workout this morning wasn't the usual effort when you get home from hols.

I'm now pushing myself on to get closer to 9 stone. Everyone I have told my target of 8 13 to has told me it's too low and I'll look ill. I am quite dysmorphic about my body so I am going to trust others to tell me how I look, but I expect I'll end up in the low 9s with 9 7 as my upper panic limit whereby I have to get back on the diet wagon. Once I am at a point I am slim and happy - 9 2 - 9 4, so just under 1/2 a stone to go - I shall go out and buy lots of new lovely clothes, as facilitated by a lovely 4 figure tax rebate from HMRC received today Grin

cantfindamnnickname · 26/09/2011 18:18

wow forever thats great
Hope the triathlon goes well - I wanted to do one until i had to stop running because of my knee.
I am bit disappointed - I keep weighing myself every day (I know i shouldnt i cant help it) i lost 2 lbs in the first week and then its gone back up again and although i overdid it a bit on Sunday (not logged everything) I have been really quite good
Any suggestions? Or am i expecting too much

Wifezilla · 27/09/2011 11:48

cantfindanickname - I weigh myself every day too and the scale always fluctuates. I don't really know what advice to offer other than to hang in there - perhaps Sunday's extra calories have caught up but after a few more days of sensible eating you'll be back on track (or lower) by the end of the week? My weight loss has been/is sooooooo slow so I know how annoying it is not to see results when you have been good.
I often think my body takes a few days to adjust - sometimes I think I have got away with some overindulgence but it catches up a few days later, on the other side when I have been really good it may also take a few days for the scales to realise they need to move downwards. :) Good luck!

ladydeedy · 27/09/2011 12:33

ah yes I weight myself daily too and have just got in the habit of it. it does remind me every day though of why I am doing this and why I want to succeed (and am nearly there weight-wise as it happens but I have other fitness goals I want to achieve).
I have a work trip coming up to North America and no doubt that will put me back a bit! But all in all it has really helped keep me active and I'm trying to do something every day, whether it's a half hour jog (sometimes I take our dog with me), swim or whatever. I heartily recommend the couch to 5K - I followed a similar programme and couldnt even run for a minute when I first started!! Now I can run 5K and am planning to do 2 10K runs next year and hopefully a half marathon the following year! I love it. I have also really cut down on alcohol and feel absolutely amazing as a result!
Keep up the good work everyone!!

cantfindamnnickname · 27/09/2011 15:57

ladydeedy - i did run but alas no more after doing a half marathon i have damaged my knee and i cant run for more than about 10 mins before it gives up on me.

I do circuit training twice a week and am thinking about restarting Chalean Extreme which is a weight lifting program.

Id really like to get my weight down though - its so frustrating but i guess it didnt go on in a week so wont come off in a week

ladydeedy · 27/09/2011 16:03

I'm sorry I think I did read your comment earlier explaining that but forgot! I have now got to a rather slow phase which is a bit disheartening but at least I get comfort from knowing that generally, overall, things have gone in the right direction (and it's heartening to look at the chart on mfp which shows how your weight's gone down over the past months!). Good luck!

RGPargy · 27/09/2011 23:20

Hi ladies

Sorry i haven't been on for a while. Will try and catch up with yoru news over the next couple of days. Hope you are all doing well! :o

ohijustdontknowanymore · 28/09/2011 07:09

Well I done it, I went to my first Zumba class last night and loved it.

The instructor was really good and so nice so didn't feel like a chore being there.

Admittedly I was the biggest there and at begininning of class was thinking yep don't think I will be going back, but once it started I just thought stuff it I am enjoying this and eventually I will blend in nicely.

Going again next Tuesday and am continuing with couch to 5k, done W2 R1 Monday and was surprised I could run for the specified time so felt chuffed Monday also.

WI Friday so fingers crossed and fingers crossed for everyone else, hope it's going okay for all :-)

ladydeedy · 28/09/2011 09:05

ah well done! I went to zumba for the first time last week and was definitely the most uncoordinated person in the room - going all over the place either in the wrong direction or facing the wrong way/using the wrong arms and legs!! Great fun though and worked up more of a sweat than I expected! I thought it would be quite a gentle dance class! Good luck everyone.

ohijustdontknowanymore · 28/09/2011 20:46

Hi

Ladydeedy - I could not believe how sweaty I was lol. But was great fun so going again Tuesdayx

ohijustdontknowanymore · 30/09/2011 07:05

Am thanking Zumba for this.

WI today have lost a further 2.9ibs. Total loss to date 17ibs. I cannot believe I am doing it, but glad I am. Such a nice feeling.

Good luck to everyone who is weighing in this week.

Keep going if I can do this we all can, I am the worst dieter/get fit person there is as I get bored so easily and miss comfort food.

Whoop good feeling and good mood today

afishcalledmummy · 30/09/2011 07:47

Well done ohijustdontknowanymore!

I'm just below pre-holiday weight now at 9st 8.5lbs. It's laborious, and slow going but it is going in the right direction - my clothes are feeling loose and people have commented on how well I look (probably enhanced by the tan).

I've had a good week, been in the gym every day and have eaten well but expect that this next week will be the opposite, as we have people staying and 3 birthdays to celebrate! I hope to get to the gym a few times, and not overeat but my downfall is wine and I think that I'll succumb to a few bottles glasses over the next seven days! Better make today as healthy as possible!

ladydeedy · 30/09/2011 08:57

ah the wine! my downfall too and so full of calories but so nice! am trying to not drink anything during the week and only have a "reasonable" amount at weekends. Weekends is when I have more time to exercise too so hopefully get to "earn" more calories to "spend" on wine which is probably not the right approach but will have to work for me at the moment...
good luck everyone! Lovely sunny weather this weekend means salads and grilled chicken or steak for me - yay!

Wifezilla · 01/10/2011 11:44

I hope everyone's having the amazing weather London is getting at the moment. It's really lifted my spirits (as it sit inside on the computer rather than out in the sun!)

I'm on day 23 of Insanity now, and after seeing no results so far I've finally dropped 3lb. This week I started Dukan which I think has been the difference to kick start the weight loss again. I'm not doing it perfectly but am trying to stick to mainly chicken/turkey/low fat yoghurt. This morning after my 40 min Insanity workout I went for a 20 min run pushing DS1 in the pram (I had to, DH and FiL were watching the rubgy and DS was in danger of learning some new words Wink).

I've now reached a weight I have been at before pregnancy with DS1, albeit my "fat" weight! I'd love to drop another 5lb or so and am feeling inspired to stick with it.

I'm lucky I'm off alcohol at the moment as still bf DS2 (especially in this weather). Chances are I'll end up drinking my weight back on once DS2 stops feeding :). Well done to ohijustdontknow, loads of people rave about Zumba but I haven't tried it (yet!).

Wifezilla · 01/10/2011 11:45

afishcalledmummy - we're at a similar weight and I'm finding it very had going to move the scale.

colette · 03/10/2011 09:33

I have been lurking for a while Smile . This thread is inspirational.
I go on myfitnesspal.com sporadically but would like to really go for it in the next six weeks. I only want to lose about 10lbs but seem to keep 'falling off the wagon'. I know I need to record everything -my user name is coletteb64.Anyone up for adding mne as a friend please ? I think reading other food diaries would help. thanks

colette · 03/10/2011 09:35

BTw I am 5 ft 4 and 9st 12Hmm and have been for ages

ladydeedy · 03/10/2011 10:37

i think 10lb might be ambitious in 6 weeks given that you are not very heavy anyway (but of course dont know what size frame you are which can make a massive difference!). I am same height as you and weigh 9 stone 4 and am a size 10 UK. But see how you get on. I've just tried to stick with mfp and see how it goes - i had a few weeks where I lost consistently and then the nearer I get to my target the more likely to spend a few weeks at the same weight.
I'm now just concentrating on fitness rather than worry about weight so much. Good luck !!!

prolificwillybreeder · 03/10/2011 12:12

Hello, can someone help me please?
This is my first full day of using MFP
I have 1200 cal a day with the goal of losing 2lbs a week.
I want to lose a stone by 19th November.
I do aqua once a week and push a double buggy with a toddler and a 3 month old in nearly every day.
I have a Wii fit so thinking about using that too.
I don't eat that unhealthily but I'm cutting out biscuits and crisps.
I need pasta it's corn so slightly better? I will match pasta with plain salad so that must be better?
I worry I'm not losing weight because I'm not eating enough thus in starvation.
I'm struggling with my mummy tummy :(
Sorry for the epic post. Thanks for reading.

prolificwillybreeder · 03/10/2011 12:15

PS- I find the fact that wine is so high in calories extremely unfair!

colette · 03/10/2011 17:15

Thanks ladyeedy, maybe i am being too ambitious , perhaps athat is why I keep slipping gaps. I make the goal too difficult ! I am also doing the couch to 5k and the occasional shred.
Love the name prolificwillybreeder - maybe protein with your dinner as well to keep you full longer.. Are you are eating the full 1200 ? That double buggy sounds like a lot of calorie burning !
