Me... meeeee!! I need HELP, have been doing my fitnesspal for a while and have just weight myself and I am done 2.5kgs but could really do with some extra support... I really want to loose at lease 2 stone... as I feel like a frump at the mo and really would like to get in to a nice little black dress for boxing day cocktails... Smile

My username is twinkletoe_183 it would help so much as I don't get on here very much as I currently a full time student, as well as a wife to husband that works away and has three dcs.

Have just purchased kettlercise as I was getting bored of my other dvd's... so please add me as I would love to give someone else support aswell....!

Thanks

cantfindamnnickname · 19/09/2011 17:38

well thanks to all you have added me - I managed to only have 1 bottle of wine this weekend - achievement for me Blush

I have not been over my calorie allowance but weighed myself and have not lost a thing since last Wednesday. It is the time of the month though so does this afect it?

ohijustdontknowanymore · 19/09/2011 22:04

Hi

I am weighing on a Friday, my main reason/logical thinking is if I am going to slip will be over the weekend with DH and dc all at home, so if I do have a naughty cider or 3 or 1 treat night of a takeaway I have the full week to lose the weight. Still do my execising/running over the weekend so thinking won't have major impact lol.

I know i know but once a week usually on a Saturday I have what I call a treat night. It gives me something to look forward to and then doesnt feel like such a chore during the week.

piellabakewell · 19/09/2011 22:17

Time of the month often affects me...bloated and would eat anything that's not nailed down for a day or two!

I weigh myself several times a week, but I suppose Monday is a good day to weigh in on the site since I started on a Sunday. I might not think that if there are too many treats over the weekend!

VivaLeBeaver · 19/09/2011 22:30

I've added more people but if I haven't added you feel free to add me!

Went for a 45min bike ride today and then did zumba on the wii. My legs weren't feeling up to 30day shred after the biking. Hopefully tomorrow.

I'm halfway through Lvl 2 now on 30day shred. Dreading Lvl 3.

febes · 20/09/2011 02:38

Viva- You'll like level 3. Most people I have talked to like it more than level 2 and all the dreaded planks.

RosiethePriveter · 20/09/2011 10:12

Just about to add a load of people. MFP seems to be going well for me this time round, have lost nearly 6lbs so far (I stupidly didnt re enter my starting weight when I started again so my total is a bit off)

I'm dreading the hormonal phase though, I can totally see it going to pot.

Wifezilla · 20/09/2011 11:52

Viva - I hated level 2 and somehow found L3 easier and more enjoyable!

I was away for the weekend and "broke" my healthy eating which I'm really annoyed about although there's not a lot I could do about it...well, perhaps I could but I didn't. :) But have done 2 weeks of Insanity now so feeling fitter. Have not lost any weight Angry however I am back to where I was before the weekend so hopefully the excesses have gone now.

I will weigh in on Friday too - I'd love to be 1lb down by then to break this plateau I've been at for a while.

VivaLeBeaver · 20/09/2011 16:38

I like the planks on Lvl 2, still good to know that most people like Lvl 3. Which of her DVDs would you recommend for after I've finished shred? Six week abs or no more trouble zones?

I've just got in from work after a very tiring shift. Not sure I can face any exercise but I'll be 100 cals over if I don't do something.............

Is it acceptable to do aerobics in the front from while dd,s maths tutor is in the dining room.? He can't see in. I just hate that he'll see me all sweaty afterwards.

RGPargy · 20/09/2011 17:30

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies! I think i've added you but please feel free to add me if i've missed you off! :o

Wow, what an exhausting weekend I had!! On Friday I burned 912 Calories, on Saturday I burned 1,872 calories and on Sunday I burned !,249 calories. Needless to say yesterday i was pretty shattered still!! Great weekend was had by all tho and i learnt some fun dance moves in the form of Bollywood grooves and even a Michael Jackson routine lol. That's as well as step classes and of course my beloved FightKlub too. Cant wait for the next one in Mid-September!! :o

Sounds like you're all doing well! Well done!! Will catch up properly a bit later!

:o

piellabakewell · 20/09/2011 19:36

RGPargy, no wonder you're exhausted...well done!

Thanks for the list, sweetcouchpotato, will get around to adding those I've missed.

febes · 20/09/2011 21:15

Viva- I would recommend both DVDs and also get ripped in 30 which is coming out in UK format before christmas. And get burn fat boost metabolism they are all great!!! I'm a Jillian addict though....

VivaLeBeaver · 20/09/2011 21:21

Febes, I probably will end up with all of them. Are they all about the same level as each other?

ohijustdontknowanymore · 21/09/2011 07:16

Went back to basics on my running and started NHS couch to 5k again.

I loved it and enjoyed running again. What was nice was it was the furthest I had walked/run since starting running a couple of weeks ago. Looking forward to going out Thursday.

Still drinking the water in the morning and sticking to my 3 meals a day and plodding along nicely.

Oh and taking leap of faith next Tuesday and attending a Zumba class on my own - Scared :-)

Hope everyone elses week going well x

febes · 21/09/2011 07:44

Viva-
6W6P- 2 levels (You are meant to do them 15 times each) quite intense especially level 2. It uses a weight for some moves and has some cardio but is mainly core. 35 min workouts.
NMTZs and BFBM- 7x 6min circuits so you can pick and choose or do the whole thing (50mins including warm up and cool down) NMTZs is all strength and core and uses weights (you may need to use heavier and lighter - I use 3kg and 2kg) BFBM is all cardio and core and uses nothin' but what you mamma gave ya!! They are awesome workouts but not as intense as shred. I love them both.
Ripped in 30- I haven't done it yet but it has 4 levels and is 4 circuits so 25mins but set up like shred and really intense.
Hope that helps Grin

VivaLeBeaver · 21/09/2011 07:53

Brilliant febes, thanks a lot.

ohijustdontknowanymore · 23/09/2011 07:15

Whoop. WI this morning and 2ibs off which means I have hit my first stone loss.

Can't believe it, usually would have given up on diets/weight loss stuff but am feeling so positive now as I can see MFP working and the exercising paying off.

Hope everyone else has positive experiences this week.

VivaLeBeaver · 23/09/2011 08:12

That's great, one stone off is brilliant.

I've been sticking to it strictly for three weeks. Weighed in today and no loss. So I've lost 2lbs in three weeks. I'm set to lose 1.5lbs a week so disappointed. I'm exercising lots and generally sticking to my calories. Sometimes I'm a bit over but other days I don't eat all my exercise calories back so am well under. Not sure where I'm going wrong.

30day shred is definitely toning me up though so that's good.

febes · 23/09/2011 08:27

Have you measured Viva? You are probably losing inches!
I just did run 3 week5 c25k so a 20min solid run- I feel freaking awesome!!! Love it.

ladydeedy · 23/09/2011 11:41

hi yes sometimes it can feel demotivating that you're not losing weight but I try not to be too hung up on that. I am actually still a bit heavier than my goal weight (getting there though!) but because I am exercising more I am actually smaller than I was when I was at my goal weight 18 months ago! which is v weird! I can now fit into clothes that were too small for me back then even though I am a 5lb heavier!

VivaLeBeaver · 23/09/2011 12:38

I only measured forth first time a couple of days ago so will keep an eye on it and see if I'm shrinking!

MeanMrsMustard · 23/09/2011 17:37

Hi there,
I've just signed up for MFP. Feel free to add me! My name is MeanMrsMustard.

I lost 6lbs this week (mainly water, I'm sure). I'm cutting down carbs, swimming and going to the gym. I've got 2 1/2 stone to lose, so i'm going to be here for ages.....

ariadnestar · 23/09/2011 17:46

Well done ohijust - that's a great milestone. Viva , maybe you're laying down muscle, which weighs more than fat, so measuring would definitely be a good idea - I bet you'll notice a difference!

Thanks for doing the list sweet . It made it so easy to add everyone and it's really motivating to have so many people doing so well on the news feed.

I decided to change weigh in day to a Friday too, and I'm glad I did. I had put on a pound and a half when I weighed in on Monday, but I've dropped that plus half a pound more! Must try to maintain the good work over the weekend :)

foreverondiet · 24/09/2011 23:06

Hi all. I have decided that now is the time for me to cut down on this board and MFP (although will be back from time to time).

Tomorrow is my second triathlon, and last event of the season, and on 7 October its my birthday and a year since I started my diet. And what a difference a year makes:

Weight before: 12 5, Now 8 7
Body fat before: 40%, Now 18%
Clothes before: 16, Now 8
Hips before 43, Now 34
BMI before 30, Now 20.5
Looks before: flabbly, Now toned!

My new way of eating is my way of life now and I have to learn to do it without weighing food or logging online. This is a new challenge for me, but trust me I don't want to be weighing fat free yoghurt etc all my life, and actually I think weighing food once at 8.5 stone with 18% body fat (yes I met my goal!) is borderline eating disorder territory!

So I hope I have inspired you all, and it just shows what you can do in a year.
