Morning all, I PMed you Cheese, only -1lb this week it is getting harder to loose weight: I have decided to avoid the evil drink this week as snacking is always associated with drinking wine and I'll see if that helps. So if anyone catches me with a glass in my hand feel free to give me a bollocking.

food will be
B shredded wheat and fruit ryvita. Melon, dried prune x2 and low fat yogurt
S. Almond biscotti Blush bad work morning
L salad and beef
D omlette and salad?

Summerbird73 · 06/07/2011 12:43

Hello all, just a quickie

messaged cheese but my loss is 1lb this week.

B: fruity porridge (HEA) and (HEB) and a green tea
L: Homemade parsnip soup (allegedly syns but we are all Hmm about it) and muller light
D: Homemade chili and rice (mince is a HEB on a green day)

Well done everyone, fab result. No gainers?! Wow!

Congrats johnworf on being at the top of the list!

kid · 06/07/2011 20:04

well done everyone, a great bunch of losses!

I'm really struggling to stay on plan as I desperately need to go shopping but am seriously lacking energy to do anything. I am struggling even to cook dinner let alone plan and prepare a healthy meal.

I've got a hospital appt for DS tomorrow. I would like it if they remove the cast as its so frustrating have to bath and dress him. But at the same time, I know the bone can't have healed yet so I'll continue to worry about the bone becoming displaced. Oh well, guess I will just have to trust their judgement.

C4ro · 06/07/2011 20:13

7lbs... I think that's the best "racing start" result so far worf.

Sorry to miss weigh-in day- I've had a manic week of work and got sent on short notice to Istanbul for an urgent project. It's really rather pleasant here but hotel stays do not make it easy to eat sensible amounts of low cal food, perhaps luckily for me there are no scales here. I'd shit up your list with a gain at the moment I think. If I can get home this weekend and get to the shops, I will hopefully turn over a new leaf and start over next week.

Sorry for the write-and-run; I am reading all your news and in panto fashion booing and hissing your villains and set-backs whilst cheering and clapping you when you rise above it all.

See you next Weds hopefully!

grinningbee · 06/07/2011 20:13

Congrats to all my fellow losers Grin

I am just cooking the pork loin now. It is the SW magazine one, with the peppadew peppers and bacon stuffing. Just giving it a few more minutes as it looked slightly underdone (has had 30 minutes).

I know I will look like a cheese triangle! Blush I should vary it a bit, but it's so easy to fit around feeding the gruesome twosome. I only have one on each slice, and count it as syns rather than a hea. One triangle is 1 syn (extra light ones). Might make myself make an omlette, or beans on toast instead one day.

Better go, it'll be ready in a sec (I hope!). Got it with roast veggies, and dh is having chips too.

Will report back later on if it was nice or not Grin

OP posts:
kid · 06/07/2011 20:45

DH cooked last night and it was really nice.
Probably not strictly SW friendly but I doubt it was that unhealthy either.
He steamed sweet potatoes in a bag with chillies.
Then he mixed some cubes of chicken with some spices and fried it. Not sure if he used olive oil (probably) but it would have been just as nice in fry light.
I was happy to just have someone else cook for me!

grinningbee · 06/07/2011 21:16

Sounds nice kid

Well. The pork recipe. I think I overcooked the pork a smidge as it was a little dry. However, the stuffing is AMAZING and well worth making. I used hot rather than mild peppers. I'll be trying it in chicken next I think. However, we have the pork again tomorrow to finish up.

If anyone wants the recipe, just shout and I'll bung it on the recipe thread.

OP posts:
kid · 06/07/2011 21:31

bee I'd like the recipe please!
I have some chicken in the fridge that I plan to use, I also have a hot pepper too which it sounds like I could use with it.

I forgot to add that DH mashed the sweet potato and pepper after he'd steamed it. He has been watching Jamie Oliver this week!

LakeFlyPie · 06/07/2011 23:16

Wow, 7lbs JW, fantastic that it's felt relatively easy.
Good to see everyone's downward trends.

Have been looking at flights to France for holiday early Sept and would like to be well on way to target, if not there by then, so need to stay very focussed.

My initial 1st week zeal has subsided slightly as I knew it would, so some sharp meal / snack planning is needed and some serious syn counting.

Food tomorrow:

BF: Muesli + FF yog + banana
L: Spanish omlette +salad
D: JP, cheese + salad (or beans depending on hunger)

Might get SW mag tomorrow for some ideas, is current issue inspiring?

grinningbee · 07/07/2011 07:47

Good morning!

Todays pondering thought is - what is it like to wake up nice and gently, in your own time? I seem to have forgotten!

Anyhoo, food.

Today I will be eating:

Weetabix and a banana
Toast, and I may scramble some eggs today
Leftover pork with tomatoes and a couple of oven chips

Loads of fruit and some ff fromage frais for snacks.

I'll post the pork recipe a bit later. Need to make a cuppa and get the dc breakfasted etc first.

Oh lucky girl c4ro - I lived in Istanbul when I was younger and loved it. If you're out and about wandering around this weekend can I recommend a fresh bbq'd anchovies. From memory there are boats doing them on the "other side" of the Golden Horn bridge by the entrance of the grand bazaar and I also remember one in Besiktas by the dolmabace palace. I've still got the keys to my apartment.

My dahl was gorgeous last night and I managed two bowls which I was very happy with. :)

B: yoghurt with nana
L: cheese & biscuits I think (I'm getting subliminal messages)
D: I've offered to make him burgers in exchange for him sorting out the garden but I can't face them, but do need red meat. hmmmn.

AlpinePony · 07/07/2011 08:03

(anchovie sarnies, not just plates of fish, that would be weird)

Cheeseandbiscuits · 07/07/2011 09:01

MOrning Morning,

Chaos here - got to be out the house at 10am as got gym/creche then driving up to mums in west country from the weekend. Its my lil sisters 21st (remember those days) and her leaving party this weekend. She's off to study for a year at Brisbane uni as part of her degree lucky cowAnyway, packing for me and DD is taking me ages.

Ha, was only teasing about the cheese trainagles bee! Did you grill or bake the pork?
Alpine can you post your dahl recipe? Please don't eat me!

Food:
B: Weetabix
L: something from the gym....Maybe prawn salad
D: Mum is doing SW too so whatever she is cooking Grin always nicer when you haven't cooked it anyway!

Exercise: legs bums and tums slow painful death

Have packed Davina mcCall DVD to do at mums! I am getting obsessed with exercise!

johnworf · 07/07/2011 09:02

OOOh I made top of the list! Crikey. It'll probably be the only time so I'll enjoy it Wink

grinningbee · 07/07/2011 09:33

I baked the pork. I shall do it for a bit less next time. It's really really yummy. Mind you, it is a bit on the expensive side, so won't be a regular weekly or fortnightly thing.

Off to retrieve my now cold cuppa, and do the washing up. Dd has insisted that I read her at least 5 stories so far, but is momentarily distracted by cbeebies. I need to get my hair washed a and go out to do a couple of bits. It is like mobilising an army though!

Hope you have a lovely weekend Cheese. How nice not to have to cook Envy

Kid just a quick note if DS doesn't get out of the cast today have a look at these my friend recently broke her ankle and one of theses was fine to have in the bath.

busy day and I'm starving but no food in the house this morning, I must go shopping.

duckymum · 07/07/2011 14:28

Aagh! Missed Day of Doom due to still having this cold and just feeling so sorry for myself I went to bed without remembering to check in.
On the plus side I have lost 2lb this week. That must be incentive to do the same next week and then I will (finally) have lost a stone.
Am very impressed with the losses tho. Am so pathetic and not trying hard enough.

grinningbee · 07/07/2011 15:35

Duckymum you lost 2lb without trying?? . Hope you feel better soon.

The pork recipe is now on the recipe list for anyone who wants it. If you do make it, let us know how it goes.

By the way, not sure if anyone is interested, I have been to Matalan for a mooch today. I needed to get out of the house! They have (amongst other things) some denim dungarees for boys that come with a top, down from £10 to £3! I bought ds two different pairs. Thought it was a bargain worth sharing.

OP posts:
kid · 07/07/2011 16:57

Thanks hedgepig, DS did have the cast removed today, but they put another one on! They are concerned the bone will be displaced due to the position of the break so he has this cast on for 2 weeks.

I saw an advert for those LimbO products at the hospital today. I wonder how long it would take them to deliver? It would make life a bit easier although we are managing to keep it dry for now.

I am really struggling to stick to plan at the moment, I have no energy and just want to sit and sleep.
I've got gym tonight but would like to give it a miss but will make myself go. I must go shopping (at some point soon) and I really must plan my meals in advance.

LakeFlyPie · 07/07/2011 19:09

Thanks for the recipe bee the stuffing does sound good, might try making it with chicken.

Had a good day eating wise today, no snack attacks at all which is very unusual for me.
DP left a tub of bite size flapjacks in the kitchen which ordinarily I would have hoovered up and haven't had a single one so feeling very virtuous Grin

Managed to do Shred DVD which haven't done for ages, but DS2 was having a rare morning nap so seized the moment and will probably be literally seized tomorrow, legs felt a bit shakey coming down the stairs afterwards.
It does feel good to do some exercise, very impressed that you are taking Davina with for your few days away cheese

Must do tidying blitz before DC bedtime, then pea risotto for dinner instead of whatever I had planned this morning (which rather worryingly I can't even remember now - wonder if it was better than the risotto)

Good to see lots of folk reappearing and all with lbs off here and there Smile

LakeFlyPie · 08/07/2011 10:58

Oh bloody hell, please don't say I've killed the SW thread with my dull witterings Blush

Food plan for today:
BF: Wheat puff things + milk (HEA + B)
Toast, peanut butter + banana
L: JP, cottage cheese + salad
D: Fiery black bean chilli + rice + cucumber raita
Frooot galore

Will try and Shred again if DS2 sleeping permits.

Weekend plans all??

grinningbee · 08/07/2011 11:11

I'm here!

Just trying to set up a new wireless router, which isn't working Angry. It'll get thrown at the wall in a minute!!

Anyway. Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast with an apple and some grapes
Sw meatballs, and maybe an sw friendly cauliflower cheese (need to recipe hunt)

It is sooooo quiet. Where is everybody??? do I smell?

By the way, the stuffed pork was finished off last night cold. Oh wow was it lovely! I preferred it cold to hot actually. Very very nice indeed.
