Well done summerbird that's great. Here's our mantra: down is down is down...

I'm having wine tonight. Dh is finally off nights, thank god. So we are celebrating!! I've declined ice cream though Smile

grinningbee · 04/07/2011 22:34

I am committing an act of self torture. I'm watching Man vs Food on Sky (good food channel). I am also dribbling. A lot.

I am going to dream of yummy American food now . Need to think fatbusting thoughts though as it's my Dod in the morning!

Night night all Grin

Evening all, wocha BLOOF pleased to see you are still with us.
Not a fantastic weekend food wise, peanut butter on toast snacks at 10pm Saturday night wtf! But it was a nice weekend DS1 and I did a 8 mile cycle which is the furthest he gas ever cycled, but it was a bit slow for me, I don't think my heart rate increased much.

Today was much better though, although made yukky dry turkey meat balls for tea, I won't add the recipe to the thread.

I hope all the poorly LOs are feeling better soon.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/07/2011 08:10

Gosh bee why would you do that to yourself? torture!

Hedge well done your DS that is a long way! I'm impressed.

DH is off today so will hopefully do something nice!
Food:
B - raspberries, FF yog and branflakes
L - tuna salad
D - indian takeaway...yep we are having treat night before the DoD due to DH work schedule!

duckymum · 05/07/2011 08:30

Morning all

Any weight loss from me this week will be down to having a hideous cold for half the week. It's not really worth eating chocolate and cake or drinking wine if you can't taste any of it!
Made a big pan of ratatouille (with minimal olive oil) last night to have with grilled chop. What I could taste of it was yum - and there is so much left I will probably be eating it for days.
I may be going out tonight (although friend hasn't got back to confirm yet..) so will have to be careful just before DoD. Otherwise it will be leftovers and whatever is left in the freezer for dinner.

BonzoDooDah · 05/07/2011 08:50

Morning ladies. I've not stuck to this very well this week. Bad bad. Think I'll take the kids on a long walk today to get some serious exercise before tomorrow's weigh in.

Bloof - get thee to the weigh-in THIS week. You know if you don't it just means another week off the waggon.

My treat this week has been Caramel Snack-a-Jacks. They are tasty and give you something to chew at for 2.5 syns. I had 4 in one sitting but that was only 10 syns rather than wot a couple of mars bars would have been.

Plus Skinny Cow icecream lollies are 4.5 or 3.5 syns depending on which one - and they are a really nice treat.

grinningbee · 05/07/2011 09:29

Morning everyone!

Bloody wifi modem blew up so we've had to get a temporary connection until new modem is delivered. Boo! Not the best start to the day (poor dh couldn't do his online crossword before work - all together now - ahhhh Grin)

Dod here. Ds has had a couple of feeds already so that should have lightened the load a little Grin.

Todays food will be:

Weetabix and a rather sad brown banana
Cheese triangles on toast, an apple and a clementine
Leftover lentil shepherdy pie with mushy peas

Snacks will be more fruit and fromage frais with maybe a teaspoon or two of marmalade stirred in.

Off to get my breakfast now, after sorting everyone else out.

Just a quick post as I'm dashing out. Did my first weigh in today after my joining SW last week. I've lost 7lbs. And yes, I'm rather pleased with myself.

I honestly thought I'd hardly lost anything as it's been so easy sticking to the (mountains of food) diet. So there ya go. Grin

AlpinePony · 05/07/2011 10:43

Can I just say that the name BonzoDooDah is making me lol and lol! Grin

Blimey! Well done John!

Summerbird73 · 05/07/2011 12:04

johnworf gets a round of applause in a Marjorie Dawes stylee! well done!

B: Usual brekkie of Porridge and banana with blueberries with skim milk (HEA and HEB)
L: Not sure yet as going out - must have salad must have salad must have salad
D: Jacket Pot, Cheese (HEA) and beans

drinks: diet coke and green tea

lots of fruit and activia yogs today

grinningbee · 05/07/2011 16:41

Fab loss Johnworf!

A word of caution on the Activia yogurts - make sure it's the fat free ones. I picked up the wrong sort a couple of weeks ago and they're 3.5 syns. Still not bad though and the rhubarb one is scrummy!

Need to plan the next 7 days menu for the big food shop tomorrow. I'm thinking meatballs, some canelloni, jacket spuds one night and maybe the stuffed pork loin (if I can be arsed!). Lots of roasted veg this week too as I am very close to going under 200 pounds... and I haven't seen that since November 2009 Shock

Gotta go. Dd is poking my face shouting "come on mummy". I think she may want something to eat Grin

By the way - lowering the tone slightly - I have discovered that the combination of lentils and mushy peas makes for a good clearout. This is not good if you happen to be in Asda with two children. I have never shopped so fast!

OP posts:
johnworf · 05/07/2011 16:43

Thanks ladies.

Are the fat free Activia yogs free food?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/07/2011 16:46

Well done john fab result.

Don;t forget everyone - DoD tomorrow....PM me your stats and I will publish them. Not sure what time, maybe 6pm ish.

We went out for lunch as had a lovely long walk. Iwas very good and had grilled chicken salad with dressing on the side. So I remain syn free tonight...ready for vegetable biriyani from takeaway!

grinningbee · 05/07/2011 16:59

If they are the fat free ones, they are syn free.

Yum yum, takeaway cheese. Hope you enjoy it!

I have the other half of the lentil shepherdy pie. Let's hope it behaves better in my innards tomorrow GrinGrin

Evening hoots at JWs mega weight loss.

been out and about with work today and they laid on hot roast pork rolls for lunch, it would have been rude not to Grin wouldn't it. I had a wholemeal roll which in sure mitigated the stuffing. Dinner was a beef stew cooked in the slow cooker, which was Yumm but maybe better for winter.

Off for a read back

BonzoDooDah · 05/07/2011 21:51

Oh WOW jw what a fab first week loss! I am highly jealous. I stuck to it like glue and only lost 2.5 in my first week. But it is so easy to follow isn't it. Keep it up!

BonzoDooDah · 05/07/2011 21:52

Oh and [bows] to AlpinePony - thanks! I loved the band - do you know them?

Muser · 05/07/2011 22:07

Hello all, see we already have an amazing weight loss happening. Today was my DoD and I am back in the game with 2.5lbs off. I am 1.5lbs away from being back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Which just goes to prove I was far too fat before I got pregnant.

Had an off day today as it was DoD. But not as off as it could have been thanks to a logistical problem. Imagine someone trying to steer a buggy with one hand while holding a tray with the other in order to sit in the sunshine. She has a brainwave. Leave buggy, put tray down on table, come back for buggy. It's working brilliantly. Until the pigeons swoop down. I didn't really fancy the scone after it had been pecked by the winged rats.

Good luck tomorrow all weighing in then.

grinningbee · 06/07/2011 08:23

Happy Dod everyone Grin

I shall be nowhere near the top today, but that's ok. A loss is a loss is a loss. Got the Big Weekly Food Shop to do today. Yay. There are tumbleweeds in the fridge at the moment!

Todays food will be:

Weetabix (no banana, none left)
Cheese triangles on toast, apple and a clementine
Not sure yet. Either pork meatballs, jacket spud with beans and cheese, or stuffed pork loin with roast veggies. Probably the last one.

It looks as if it's about to chuck it down here. Luckily I did a bedding wash yesterday so I can get away with not putting the washing machine on today. Hurrah! Some vigorous mopping and hoovering it is then.

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 06/07/2011 08:41

Who is collating DoD stats today?

My loss would've been better if my ms had been worse last night and I hadn't accidentally (!) hoovered a tub of B&J (new york since you ask). Blush

Bonza Sorry, I've never heard of the band, it's just such a "chipper" and yet slightly "narky" name at the same time if that makes sense - makes me laugh. (Clearly need to get out more).

B: greek yog, raspberries, honey
L: free range egg omlette with spinach (and various other veggies) for my omegas & iron
D: Dahl maybe? So smooth, goes down well.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/07/2011 08:54

T'is me pony
hmmm new York Ben and jerrys, lovely! Your food sounds yum!

bee you are going to turn into a cheese triangle at this rate. Is that the pork from SW mag?

Decent loss here too! Yay. Got a bit of sting ring after last nights curry, will make zumba interesting!

Exercise: zumba
B: omelette
L: tuna and light Mayo jacket (2.5syns)
D: burger in a roll (heb), sw chips, salad

LakeFlyPie · 06/07/2011 09:25

Morning Smile

Good to see fred so busy.

Going green today
BF: Muesli, FF yog + raspberries
L: Omelette + salad (or possibly beans depending on hunger levels by lunchtime)
D: Pasta with spicy tomato sauce and sausage (HEB)

Need to shop today as superfree supplies running low and that's when I get hungry and dip into extra bowls of cereal, slices of toast etc.

Weighed in this morning and pleased with 1st week loss but can't seem to share it with you as when I click on Cheese's 'Message Poster' link it just refreshes current page, is it just me having technological failure? Hmm

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/07/2011 09:29

You can just go to your inbox and type cheeseandbiscuits into the send address? Well done on 1st week loss..

Keep the stats coming, the list is looking bare Sad

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/07/2011 10:11

Gosh good results everyone

SlinkyB · 06/07/2011 10:18

I am also having problems pm-ing you Cheeseandbiscuits? I have tried using the inbox route too, but don't think the message is getting through? (thought it may be my Father's awful internet connection).

Annnnyywaaaay, I lost 3lbs this week! Woo bloody hoo, not bad for my first week, am most pleased! :)

Kinda fell off the wagon last night when my sister and BIL came over from Wales to lay new flooring in my lounge...we ended up getting a Chinese take-away and wine was consumed. I was fairly good in that I boiled a load of brown rice, then fried it in fry-light and added chillies/red pepper/mushrooms, and also boiled my own noodles, but don't quite think crispy roast duck or kung-po prawns are 'free' on a Green, Red or EE day?! EEk.

Back in the zone today and will burn lots of the fatty food off at Zumba tomorrow night (I hope).

Well done everyone on your weightlosses, esp john, that's incredible!
