kid · 03/07/2011 13:35

Yes, they put a cast on it and we have to go back next week for another X-ray.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 03/07/2011 13:46

Sorry to hear the kid, what bone did he break? Poor little thing.

Zumba done! Now am planning to lie on the sofa having cuddles with DD and watching the tennis.

kid · 03/07/2011 14:28

He broke the bone below the index finger, just below the growth plate.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 03/07/2011 14:30

Awww poor him. Lots of calpol and cuddles. Ouch!

Summerbird73 · 03/07/2011 16:13

oo hello there, not got time for full catch up on the 'fred but just nipping on to say hi.

not been completely on it this weekend but that is what i usually do, i 'cane it' during the week and have a few treats at the weekend. DH ended up going out on Fri night so i had some pasta, then yesterday i made the risotto for dinner and it was lovely.

so my treats this weekend have been maltesers wine and a muffin today! Grin

i have just been looking at my super slim sisters facebook page and her holiday pics, it has really inspired me to get out there and do it. she lost 2 stone with SW a few years ago and has kept it off Envy so i am gonna do it!

catch up properly tomorrow but hope y'all are having a good weekend Smile

Cheeseandbiscuits · 03/07/2011 21:40

Hi summerbird got your name right this time?! Am very jealous of the treats, I have been so good this weekend its boring me! It is good motivation having skinny sisters, I can tell you!

SlinkyB · 03/07/2011 22:14

Evening, have also been lurking somewhat this weekend. Had a fairly busy one but have mostly managed to keep on track. Ate far too much fresh fruit and have had to stay near a loo as a consequence ! (Sorry, TMI). Also think the sweeteners are having a laxative effect, great. Am hoping to make some of the dishes from the recipes 'fred this week, so wish me luck as am no Delia. Hope you've all had good weekends, sorry to hear about your ds kid

grinningbee · 04/07/2011 07:41

Good morning!

Dh has hogged the laptop all weekend, so I've not been able to catch up.

Kid I hope ds is feeing more comfortable soon.

Alpine I'm sure there's a scientific reason for not throwing up cake Wink. Seriously though, I hope the sickness settles down for you. It sounds grim.

Cheese How is dd today? Much sympathy on the poo cleaning. Dd had the runs yesterday and it went straight up her back into her vest. Nice!

Thanks all for the advice re the grey face etc. I wouldn't know what skin tone I was tbh - I am clueless about it all. Dh came in from work on Friday and gave me an appointment card for a hairdressers. He's booked me in this coming Saturday! (Not one I've been to before). So, I don't know whether to just have a cut, or get it coloured. I'm thinking if I do then I'll have to keep doing it. Not sure we can afford that!

Anyway, back to food.

Been very good over the weekend, but did have 13.5 syns worth of wine on Friday (yum!).

Todays food will be:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast with an apple and a clementine
Shepherd's Lentil Pie
Fruit and yogurt for snacks

I don't think it'll be a big loss this week, so it looks as if it is starting to slow down. Boo!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 04/07/2011 07:54

Morning.

kidhow is the LO? Hope his hand isn't too sore.

Bee that was nice of your DH, bless him! Why don't you go for a chop then ask them what they think of having your hair coloured. Def go get a free bobby brown make over too.

DD has much more formed poo but is still going 6 times a day. Her poor red bum. She so happy in herself so I am not too worried. Today we have baby swim, please don't let her poo please please please!

Had salmon with roasted veg for dinner last night as DH wants to BBQ steak tonight so:
B: scrambled egg on toast(HEB)
L: Tuna pasta salad
D: Steak with mushroom sauce, asaragus and new pots

AlpinePony · 04/07/2011 09:09

grinningBee I'm one of those slatternly bastards who home dyes their hair. I used to get it done at the salon but each time they seemed to be dying it more and more like my "natural" colour and I wasn't happy spending 100+ to er... look like "me" - what's the point in that? So I just buy whatever is bogof and as long as you do it regularly and avoid roots it's fine, assuming you don't go from blond to morticia or vice-versa!

kid I hope your son is doing OK today. I must admit I was going to say "meh, it's fine, if it were broken he'd be making a lot more noise". Blush But then I'm a fully paid-up member of the Bad Parent Club.

Diet-wise I failed to keep anything down after lunch so the scales are smiling on me. Double-edged sword really right now.

I'm trying to keep my yoghurt down this morning and I'm just going to have a light lunch & dinner, probably just cheese & crackers and maybe some spinach (for iron).

LakeFlyPie · 04/07/2011 09:14

Morning, quick one as going to visit my Grandma (who is 84 and lovely and slim despite her serial baking habit - think she has a mysterious thing called will power) today, have politely asked her not to send me home with bags full of her delicious cakes as she usually does and think she is doing chicken and salad for lunch so should be all good.

BF: Muesli, strawbs, FF yog
L: Chicken and salad
D: Will try and keep chicken intake within green day HEB and maybe pasta and roasted veg and spicy tomato sauce

johnworf · 04/07/2011 09:19

Morning ladies. I stumbled rather than fell of the wagon y'day. I had 2 burger buns although no burger, just chicken fillet. I hope this won't throw things off too much.

First weigh in tomorrow for me so the truth will out I suppose Smile

BlooferLady · 04/07/2011 09:36

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Here y'all are!

Can I come back now please?!

State of play:

Evilmad boss: GONE. Sadly a house didn't land on her but in all other respects she is as the wicked witch of the West, ie, despatched. Celebrations all round.
Thesis: Back broken to the extent of being paralysed from the neck down. Extension granted. 3 weeks to go. Not that bothered as 90% of the work is done and superviser is happy.
TTCing: Still no joy on that front but am putting it down to STRESS

BlooferLady · 04/07/2011 09:37

Oooo look at all the New People! . Hello New People! I am the big fat fatty bo batty that kicked this thing off. Then disappeared and ate all the pies with extra lard sauce and goose-fat garnish Blush. I haz excuses though! No honestly! Ask me about the 90,000 biscuits sometime (or did we agree they were sticks of celery? I clean forget!).

grinningbee · 04/07/2011 11:04

Bloofer!!! Welcome back lady Grin It's nice to have you back. You haven't been at the mincemeat jar again have you ? Wink

Alpine I don't think it's being a slattern dyeing your own hair. If I thought I coud do a decent job, I'd try it (still might!). Trouble is I have longish hair (well, until Saturday) and I'd worry about missing bits. I already have to dye dh's (passion red!!) and his is long and it's a pain. Might have a look see in that aisle when I do the shop on Wednesday though...

Cheeseandbiscuits · 04/07/2011 11:36

Hola blooferlady good to have you back.

Glad Cruella De Ville has left, phew! One less thing to worry about. 3 weeks to go and 90% done, you are on the downhill slope now. Must be one hell of a relief. With all the stress disappearing, hopefully TTC will be a bit easier. You def deserved your holiday, so I wouldn't worry.
Will be good to have you bk weighing in. HWats wrong with this Weds though?

Its def not lazy doing it yourself. Much bloody cheaper. I am lucky enough to be lushious of lock but as soon as the grey hair appears, I will be digging out the L'oreal...Cos I'm worth it!

Alpine dark choc has plenty of iron in it Grin

Summerbird73 · 04/07/2011 12:25

nice to meet you bloofers i am TTC too and was convinced the constant weeing last month was a BFP but no the nasty witch AF got me this morning Sad anyway that means another month of my diversion tactic - for two weeks i concentrate on weight loss and dont think about TTC - then for the next two weeks i still concentrate on the weight loss to stop me obsessively symptom spotting Confused tis a minefield

kid and cheese hope you LOs are feeling better today Smile

lake my nan is 88 and is too a slim lady - she also has fantastic norks - i honestly hope i get like that in 50years time - actually i would quite like to be like that now thank you v much!

Its my SW weigh in tonight. Feeling hopeful but by no means confident Hmm

Today
B: Porridge, skimmed milk, with strawberries and banana mixed in
Snax: Nectarine, Peach, apple, Cup of coffee with skim milk
L: Leftover spinach risotto
D: Leftover chicken casserole with rice
Drinks: Green tea, diet coke and water

Think that makes me a EE day today as wont need any more cheese/milk

Summerbird73 · 04/07/2011 12:26

of course i cant have my chicken casserole until about 9pm tonight as i cant eat before weigh in Confused

grinningbee · 04/07/2011 14:31

Ah, I remember weigh-ins Summerbird. I woud barely eat or drink all day, then try and force out a wee before leaving. It was funny really. Then again, I aso briefly tried laxatives too to really empty out. Was a weeny bit obsessed back then... that was nearly 20 years ago though.

I'm going to try really hard not to be disappointed this week. I've done nothing different (other than wine on Friday), but have missed maybe two lunches, and reckon it'll be a pound off. That should be good and I need to take my own advice (ie a pound a week is still almost 4 stone over a year).

Hey ho.

I have hoovered today, and dd has just been running about discarding bits of banana skin all over the floor. She said "made a mess mummy. Hoover again!"

Little minx!

OP posts:
Summerbird73 · 04/07/2011 16:06

grinningbee i used to eat pineapple chunks all day the last time i did this! i have been wondering all day if i could squeeze out a poo Blush before 7pm.... obsessed? moi?

and i am loving your DD's style! does she have shades of Kim Woodburn?? Grin

grinningbee · 04/07/2011 16:21

She's got a touch of someone! It takes sooooo long to hoover when she "helps". Not to worry, I'm sure the enthusiasm will wear off soon enough Grin

Now. Someone asked for a cheesecake recipe so I'm going to see if I can find it...

OP posts:
grinningbee · 04/07/2011 16:24

Blimey, there's loads!

I'll post a couple of variations, if anyone wants more just holler Grin

OP posts:
grinningbee · 04/07/2011 16:34

Ok. 3 versions posted! Off to prepare the lentilly shepherd for tea Grin

OP posts:
kid · 04/07/2011 20:07

Ds was ok at school today, he can't wait to get the cast off and it's only been on for one day!

The diet has taken a back seat today. I need to go shopping as food is low and I need an extra few hours each day to plan, prepare and execute my duties. Personally, I think I should give up work so I have extra hours each day, that sounds good to me Grin

Summerbird73 · 04/07/2011 21:34

went to weigh in and have lost a pound - woo hoo! actually i was a bit about it but need to have a word with myself, it is a pound in the right direction!

rushed straight home for a glass of wine Hmm only another 1 stone and 9.5lb to go!
