Hi all!

Hope the title is ok - if not, someone else can do another one Grin

Ria I do hope dh is feeling a bit better today.

Right then. I will embarrass myself for your amusement. I was mid-shop with the two dc in the trolley. This meant I was unable to abandon it and run for the loos, or take it with me as it was half full of shopping. I was struck by a sudden urge to go, so I clenched until the feeling passed. Had to do it more than once as well Blush. All good so I thought, and I carried on at warp speed (let's put it this way, 26 mile round trip, weekly shop, back home within an hour).

Got home and removed the dc and shopping from the car and finally got to the bathroom. I hadn't clenched hard enough BlushBlushBlush.

So, mock me if you must. It's the first time that's ever happened and I felt terrible. Mind you, hopefully if anyone had noticed anything they'll have thought it was the dc!

Having eaten the other half of the lentil pie last night, I am wondering if going out today is a good idea...

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a nectarine
Cheese triangles on toast, clementines and a yogurt
SW fryup - sausages, bacon, eggs and tomatoes

Haha oh dear bee. I wouldn't worry. I'd blame the baby!
Quick post as need to rescue DD from FIL.

Food:
B: branflakes, fruit, ff yog
L: salad of some sort
D: either lamb rogan josh or ham and artichoke pasta
Exercise: body conditioning + shred

whatkungfuthat · 18/08/2011 09:42

Morning Everyone. Don't worry bee people would have def. thought it was the baby. DS2 appeared at my bedside at some ungodly time when it was still dark (didn't have specs to check time) then it took me ages to get back to sleep so I have that 'stabbed in the eyes' sensation today. DP has lost 3lbs but I am not going to weigh myself till next week's DOD as we are going out for my birthday to a posh indian at the weekend and I know it will go up before it goes down again.

That Special K should be renamed Per Una Speziale K Grin

Food:
Toast with a tiny amount of honey
Not sure about lunch as shopping tomorrow so cupboards not great, prob fruit and ML's
Pork loin with soy and 5 spice, stir fry of peppers, onions and noodles in soy and spice

Hedgepig · 18/08/2011 09:59

morning
Littlepuska I was wondering if the Special K would count as a Healthy Extra B but I can't find it on the HE list (which would be a darn sight easier to use if it was in alphabetical order if you are listening SW!!). For cereal I have found 2x weetabix or 1x Shredded wheat and a fruit ryvita more psychological satisfying than a measly 28g of cereal.

Bonzo your slimmer of the week pot sounds very very good much better than manky fruit.
Bee Blush at the lentils, it's good to have a clear out though
last day at work before I'm off for 2 weeks so I must get on, have a good day all ::waves::

SlinkyB · 18/08/2011 13:57

Angry Angry Angry

Long post; gone! All my fault; didn't realise laptop had logged me out!

SlinkyB · 18/08/2011 14:52

Bee that did sound rather embarrassing, but don't worry, you're not alone; I used to have problems with my digestive system and sometimes wouldn't quite make it either! Blush

I can't believe the syn value of Special K; is that just for the plain, boring cardboard-like stuff too? Fair enough if it was for the chocolate one!

I have done SW three times in the last 12 years, but am not going to class this time, as just using my old books/recipes/this thread. Tend to stick to 2 x weetabix, bran flakes or fruit & fibre for breakfast to be on the safe-side. Oh, and I use a little plastic baby bowl too, so the 28g looks more, a la Absolutely Fabulous circa 1995! Wink

Spent lunchtime driving for 45 mins in pouring rain to meet dp at Mothercare to look at a stroller they didn't have in their store - Angry Still, bought some cute board books for ds which were on 3 for 2.

Zumba tonight, but really not inspired due to this crappy, miserable weather...

grinningbee · 18/08/2011 15:15

Am I still allowed in?

Cereal appears to be a rip off in the syn stakes. Dd has cheerios, and they look lovely - but 4.5 syns for 28g? A curly wurly is only 6!

It is miserable and rainy and cold. I should be out shopping for a 60th birthday present but can't be arsed. Going to Asda later to buy the dc a warm coat each!

I am very hungry for some reason. Might have to raid the fridge for another yogurt.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/08/2011 19:40

Right PIL gone home finally. I would say peace and quiet but struggling to get DD down. Am leaving her for 5 min to see what happens She is exhausted but is really fighting sleep. Did body conditioning today followed by a 4 mile walk in the pouring rain. SO no need to start shred tonight, will save it for tomorrow morning.

Can't believe the syn value of cardboard special K.

bonzo well done on slimmer of the week, sounds like a fab bag of goodies.
hedge are you doing any nice with your time off?
kung Envy of your DH losing 3lbs this week. Why do men always lose it faster than women?
ria hows your DH getting on, hope he is feeling better?
bee hows yer bum?! Grin Can't believe what that bladdy woman said to you at Sainsburys. Cheeky cow. I had lots of classics from MIL but can't be arsed to repeat them.
pushka hows your week going other than the waste of 10.5 syns. I'd be in a right mood about that.
Can anyone do the list next week? I am going to Scotland to visit my grandma. Taking DD on the train as DH on nights. Eek!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/08/2011 19:40

oooh peace and quiet...it worked!

whatkungfuthat · 18/08/2011 20:03

Cheese it's just his body going into shock at being denied alcohol. Grin I am desperate to jump on the wii but I know its going to go up after the weekend and I'll get a catsbumface so I'm resisting. Must start exercising soon as my middle ear dizzy thing seems to have sorted itself. Last time I was up to 5 x 30 min free step at 4000 steps a time, according to google thats 10miles Hmm

DS2 fell asleep at 6 this evening, I don't think he went back to sleep after waking in the night (he's 5) so I am expecting to be up in the night.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/08/2011 20:36

I spoke too soon, 1 hr later...she's still awake and I have given up. She's now sat pm the sofa with me, happy as larry reading her book.

Where my gina ford book....

LittlePushka · 18/08/2011 22:31

Cheese and everyone, I am happy to be be Deputy High Commander of the List of Lost Lumpiness next week. A visit to see Granny McCheese sounds grand. I will post it on Wed evening after the rats and snails have hopped into bed.

Love SlinkyBs idea for making a 28g of cereal ( ie about four flakes of Dirty K) look like loads. Will be eating me Shreddies out of a Royal Doulton Bunnykins bowl in the morning instead of the usual pyrex casserole dish!!!

Bee!!! That is SO funny!!! Anyway here is a top tip - why not buy some of those yellow toilet blocks (you know the ones,...VERY popular in public toilets in the 1970's, especially in the bottom of urinals) pop one or two in your coat pocket and no-one will ever knpow - except us Wink

How old is little cheese by the way and is she therefore calles Babybel?

LittlePushka · 18/08/2011 22:46

Forgot to say, Shred dvd arrived today. DH looked at the fox on the front and said
"Hey...! Will you look like that in 30 days...phwoar...?!!"

" Not unless it comes with a free voucher for lifetime cosmetic surgery love, no! Now bog off and peel me another grape"

Starting on Sunday.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/08/2011 22:53

Thanks pushka for doing the list, much appreciated.

Bad evening. Dh arrived home from work at 9. He was supposed to be getting the ingredients for dinner but forgot so Chinese for cheese and mr cheese. Am going to shred twice tomorrow and do a 4 mile walk. Fuck, pissed off for eating it but am so tired after sleepless nights and in law stress.

Loving the babybel pushka! She's 5 1/2months. For about a month she slept through the night but is now up several times. Teeth related me thinks. You can see a pic on my profile.

If anyone wants to join our day of doom Facebook page for before and during diet photos pm me!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/08/2011 22:54

Oh and Grin at grape peeling. Much more supportive than bringing home battered chicken ballsBlush

grinningbee · 18/08/2011 23:22

Just a quickie - I'll do the list if you like. Promise not to smell on it Grin

OP posts:
grinningbee · 18/08/2011 23:25

Silly me - just seen you had a volunteer. Jolly good Grin. I'll go back to my smelly corner Wink

Riasdragonflytattoo · 18/08/2011 23:52

LOL at babybel, an something else, but I forget what, as it has been a long day.

DH not good. We were going out this afternoon- he was thinking very long hike, I suggested small walk round town then very small not-quite-hike. He ducked out anyway being dizzy and sleepy. Took boys to town by self. Purchased paint and ribbon for crafting. Purchased skirt and cropped trousers on charity shop BOGOF which have since turned best bra pink in washer. Tried to find "fat blokes" shirt (brushed cotton, checked, circa 1990 - Maddy Magellan according to DS1... the kind of thing I used to wear aged 16, retrieved from GFs house when he diedHmm). failed. only shop I found one in didn't have enough "X's" before the "L". Mother has since told me it's time I "did something"... so stressed I forgot to look in Tesco (where woman from fat shop told me I would get one - up to 5xl - and bought wine and curry and ice cream insteadBlush I WILL be more focussed after family BBQ tomorrow. Ended up in B&Q followed by McD'sBlush

BTW, I have had more than one occasion where I have to stand very still in Tesco clothes dept (as far away from loo as it is possible to be) until I feel strong enough to actually abandon trolley (teenagers/husbands can be useful at times). Don't usually have need for magic tree though. But I do shivering/sweating/dizzy quite well. So, not nice. You have my sympathy.

LittlePushka · 19/08/2011 00:13

Darling Bee, we all want you to concentrate on something much more important next week...Wink.

Also, between you and me, when I do the list I would be happy to report that in addition to your amazing weight loss you have sucessfully evacuated, in time, in the right place. (Imagine virtual mexican wave of celebration from each and every member of this here Fat Lass Class...hurrah!).

Now lay off dem lentils,...much better with bananas - bananas bind, as me old granny was fond of saying (usually loudly whilst using public transport)

Cheeseandbiscuits · 19/08/2011 07:28

What a long night. Up for most of it. So not feeling so bad about Chinese. Thanks to everyone for not stoning me or something.

Am just feeding DD then I am going to shred! Taking DD to gymboree so that's a 2mile walk too.

B: omelette
L: beans on toast
D: ham and artichoke pasta

Cheeseandbiscuits · 19/08/2011 09:17

Level 1 day 1 shred done. Wasn't quite as hideous as I expected. DD was fascinated. Might do the next one later!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 19/08/2011 10:24
LakeFlyPie · 19/08/2011 12:07

Is that Brew still warm?

Just Shredded with the hindrance assistance of DS2 hanging off my legs.
Impressed you found it easy cheese, IME you may want to reserve judgement until tomorrow morning when climbing the stairs is a whole new experience.
I have quite a good working knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and discovered muscles I never knew I had Grin

Seems there are quite a few of us Shredding, does anyone manage it everyday?

bee hope your lentil experience works in your favour for next weeks DOD. Silver lining and all that.

pushka I'm looking forward to my transformation into Jillian's physique in a couple of weeks time? Perhaps it's a magical overnight thing on Day 29 / 30 Grin

Food
BF: Porridge
L: Salad with houmous dressing
D: Either cous cous, roasted veg and halloumi or spicy tomatoey pasta
Snacks: Fruit, yogs, Options hot choc....
Am struggling with evening snacking last few evenings, really need to be prepared with well stocked fruit bowl or crudite this evening.
Might try some frozen blueberries to chomp on, see if they hit the spot.
Does anyone have tips for evening snacking - other than go to bed earlier which is what I should be doing really.

Weekend plans anyone?

whatkungfuthat · 19/08/2011 13:10

Af'noon everyone, cheese I looked at your pic, babybel is adorable. My DP works for the NHS in London too, that would be a coincidence!

Food is:

Toast with banana and honey
Super low fat noodles, fruit and ML
chicken kebab (the stick ones, shish?) from the takeaway with no pitta or chips, may do a savoury rice to go with

I have also forsaken my beloved Pinot Grigio for vodka which I'm not that bothered about so won't really drink. After this weekend I'm going to try and cut out the booze for 6 weeks and see if it makes a difference Hmm

Cheeseandbiscuits · 19/08/2011 21:33

Crikey its quiet!

I found it easy until I realised I had only done the first circuit not the first day Sad. Will do it properly tomorrow along with my pilates class.

Dh didn't want pasta for supper so we have had lamb rogan Josh and it was lovely.

Thanks Kung I think she's cute, but I am her mum!
