Oh and I'd write a letter to head office ... That's really bad!!

redharrington · 30/06/2011 09:28

Morning all, amazing losses! I feel your fartini pain Cheese I once asked for 'black pecker' on my sandwich in a posh sandwich place in Mayfair and have never been allowed to live it down, esp by DH (who describes himself as being of 'more than a continental appearance')

This morning I had the toast/squashed banana combo
Lunch will be poached egg and back bacon with fat removed, and some fruit for my superfree bit.
I am making a spag bol later for everyone but will prob just have a jacket spud with my HEA cheese on it.

SlinkyB · 30/06/2011 09:54

Wow, well done on all your weight losses everyone, I would love to lose 3.5lbs in a week! Going to try and do a red day today, which I don't normally do, but am waiting to find out if I'm going out tonight or not before I properly meal-plan. Off for an hour's power-walk around the town and then a 1st birthday party this afternoon....must. not. eat. cake. Glad to see I'm not the only one saving syns for wine, DP and I always shared a bottle of wine whilst watching The Apprentice but I restricted myself to one 125ml glass of red last night (can you see my halo?).

LakeFlyPie · 30/06/2011 10:13

Morning, I'm red too today after buying some delicious looking parma ham yesterday.

Quick post and must make haste whilst baby sleeps....

BF: FF yog, raspberries, muesli (HEB)
L: Parma ham and melon
D: Burgers, salad, possibly wedges (HEB)

Snacks: Strawberries and more strawberries (went a bit OTT at PYO farm yesterday - jam making on agenda today) also got some peaches.

Actually just realised I've got quite a lot of fruit in fridge so fruit salad would be a good idea.

Oh dear DS2's awake and I'm not even showered, arrgh

Bee - 1HE, good job I asked, I thought it was 4!!

Muser · 30/06/2011 10:20

Hello hello. Sorry for missing the big weigh in yesterday, was out all day. But as I said, put half a pound on. Seem to have lost it again though. Yes, I weigh myself too often.

Anyway, whatever bug I had seems to have gone and I no longer feel queasy and weird. I think I shall have an extra easy day today.

Breakfast: grape nuts, banana, milk (HEA + B)
Lunch: Think I might make an omlette or something egg like anyway.
Dinner: Trying to figure this out. I have a big bag of spinach from the veg box I should use up. I have some feta cheese. I'm thinking they should come together somehow.

Summerbird73 · 30/06/2011 10:25

morning ladies, hmm well not a good start to today, i really fancied a latte on my way in so i got a decaff skinny latte (so not toooo bad) and had my usual porridge with skimmed milk. so that is prob a full A choice on the skimmed milk but i feel sooo bloated. need to eat fruit for the rest of the day.

B: Porridge skimmed milk with strawbs and banana
Skinny latte

L: Tuna pasta bake with tomatoes onions mushrooms and tons of fruit
D: Slimming world chips, omelette and beans

OK so we are TTC and my boobs are tingling! what do you reckon if i am actually PG? I need to POAS anytime from Tuesday next week (but we sooo know i am going to do it at the weekend). Thing is i need to keep eating healthy and i guess that i just need to make sure i have two A choices and two B choices per day rather than follow the EE plan... i want to ask my SW consultant but (a)not sure if pg yet and (b)once you say you are PG they need a letter from your MW - which would be ages away yet. oh and (c)i am only CD21 so not exactly on the scale yet!! Smile

Muser · 30/06/2011 10:26

Oooh, I might actually make it a green day and make spinach risotto for dinner, I have just found a recipe. It has ricotta cheese in it and apparently you get a massive 85g of ricotta cheese as a healthy extra A. Mmmmm. Creamy.

Hedgepig · 30/06/2011 10:30

sounds nice muser, I had shopping delivered yesterday but I am a bit devoid of inspiration of what to cook later. Swimming night for DS1 then get DS2 from nursery and then cook something for tea (and DH is out at at meeting) Thurs is not my good day OH and it is SW weigh in (will have to take the kids with me)

redharrington · 30/06/2011 10:32

summerbird have you got a weird taste/sensation in your mouth? That was a giveaway for me when I was PG. Smile

Summerbird73 · 30/06/2011 11:33

redharrington no but does a chocolate craving count Grin

muser please could you share your recipe for the risotto? sounds marvellous and all the things i love!

hedgepig what about jacket potato/SW chips or toast with beans? always a winner with DS if i am in a hurry. not v inspired but easy enough to do.

Muser · 30/06/2011 12:20

The recipe is here Summerbird. I will not be including the 150g butter for obvious reasons. Grin

Summerbird73 · 30/06/2011 13:25

faaaanx muser Smile

kid · 30/06/2011 16:56

I did WI this morning and have list 1lb this week. Not a great loss but it's better than nothing I guess.
I was cooked lunch at work today, lovely lasagne plus cake and custard. I'll never lose any more weight at this rate!

Off to bootcamp class tonight even though I'm still dying from last night. No pain, no gain (apparently!)

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/06/2011 18:07

Gosh I am exhausted. Legs, Bums and Tums was a killer. An absolute killer. Esp wth a mild hangover. Glad it is bath then bedtime for DD - I will be lounging on the sofa catching up on the apprentice tonight!

Went to Westfield and spoilt DD with far too many toys. but she has been so poorly and had her jabs yesterday, I just couldn't resist. She has also only had the squits twice today so far, phew!

Well done Kid on 1lb. "Down is down is down" I am very jealous of cake and custard.

Sorry muser did I miss you off the list. Sorry pal! Hope you are feeling better - the risotto sounds yummy.

Summerbird73 · 30/06/2011 19:59

kid you are LOSING so well done seriously you are doing well

i just had the most humungous spanish omelette - all free on a green day, sliced parboiled potatoes fried with FL and onions, add 3 eggs and allowance of cheese, topped off with spaghetti hoops - am stuffed!

Summerbird73 · 30/06/2011 20:00

has anyone noticed that SW are really pushing the EE plan? hardly any of the magazines mention the red/green days. i wonder why that is... maybe it is easier for people to shift the pounds so they recommend it more, (easier to shift as you only have one A and B choice)

Muser · 30/06/2011 20:10

I think it's because they can push the "you can eat anything you like!" thing and compete with WW a bit more.

You didn't miss me off Cheese, I forgot to email you.

Today has gone pretty well. I nearly had a rock cake but it was disgusting so I decided not to waste the syns. I was bought some chocolate from Hotel Chocolat though. Will have to ration it carefully.

mandalee · 30/06/2011 20:14

What's a spaghetti hoop??? Confused

Love when you realise something you used to crave is actually disgusting and you don't want it anymore! Go muser! My theory is that these cravings are actually self-hating in disguise...

We are crafty beings, us. Smile

Muser · 30/06/2011 20:19

It was just a very bad rock cake unfortunately! I know there are nice ones out there. It is good to know that all the cakes I've ever had in this cafe have been rubbish though. I won't be tempted to buy anymore!

Summerbird73 · 30/06/2011 20:27

manda Shock are you serious? were you not a child in the 70s or 80s? are you not aware of the concept of spaghetti hoops????? (sorry am just flabbergasted - not being cheeky!)

i tried linking a pic to here but being a bit thick - heinz do them but we get ours from tesco own brand - DS loves them - and they do them with pork sausages too Grin

johnworf · 30/06/2011 20:32

May I join you ladies?

I'm a recent convert to SW and am looking for inspiration and tips for keeping going.

kid · 30/06/2011 20:48

johnworf of course you can join us, welcome Smile

I went bootcamp and survived the class. The trainer (who is also a personal trainer) commented on how well I am doing and how much better I am at the class. I think he was either fishing for compliments or hoping to get some more clients for 1:1 training.

During the class we had to do some boxing move and I could feel my neck hurting so thought it was just the muscles tensing. But now realise its actually a sore throat.

Its so sore, I couldn't eat any dinner (secretly delightedGrin) Instead, I am drinking some hi-lights hot chocolate but even that hurts.

1/2 day at work tomorrow but then I have to work 1/2 day Saturday too. For some stupid reason, I don't want to take any time off work. I don't see why, everyone else does so why don't I?!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/06/2011 21:26

Welcome johnworf

Had a yummy dinner of lamb rogan Josh. Lying on the sofa, cream crackered! Just catching up on the apprentice - should be a goodun.

muser well done on rock cake avoidance. I hate it when treats are disappointing!

I'm not a fan of spaghetti hoops personally. I'm more of a baked bean girl myself!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/06/2011 21:28

Nearly forgot, kid hope your throat gets better soon. Poor you!

johnworf · 30/06/2011 21:35

thanks ladies.

Have already made a note of the spanish omelette with spaghetti hoops Grin
