I have lost 3lb so total now is 1st 8lb but my brother is visiting so I'm off now to put some back one with a curry and all the works! :)

Am also out for dinner on Friday night which will entail a lot of wine so not anticipating a big loss this week. Am still aiming for 2stone by my holiday mid-Sept though.

kid · 10/08/2011 20:58

well done on the losses everyone, as I knew I wasn't going to WI I have been eating too much. My trousers that I have managed to shrink into are a tad tighter today. Actually its not that they are tight, its more that they are looser on the bum so falling down slightly behind which makes them pull on my tummy iykwim

had manicure and pedicure done, my little toe really hurt when they were doing it and some parts tickled and made me jump. It does look nice though and its actually the first time i've had nail varnish on this year! I had a french manicure on my hands, bet it gets ruined before I go away. Mind you, its an excellent excuse not to do any housework or cooking.

I drove through the city this evening and all was quiet. Saw a few police about but not the 16,000 they say are patrolling the streets!

Hedgepig · 10/08/2011 21:20

Evening, thanks for the lovely comment Cheese I am very very pleased with getting to minus 3 stone
well done everyone.
Ria I do find going to group gives me a focus and you are worth an hour Grin. I don't even stay to group but I get weighed and then I go straight to my exercise class.
we had left over canelloni for tea, I think I may try making it as a lasagna next time

Cheeseandbiscuits · 10/08/2011 22:28

Three stone is phenomenal. Envy

BonzoDooDah · 10/08/2011 22:33

Well done hedge - brilliant loss! And everyone else - a really good week!

I'm back from my WI and have lost 1.5 lb so have my 10% loss award and have lost 1 stone 7.5 lb! Am well chuffed.
My sister bought me the Wii Fitness Coach so I have been slogging away on that. It helped me shift some weight despite eating loads of birthday cake all weekend. Phew!

grinningbee · 10/08/2011 22:37

Well done Hedgepig! That's brilliant. Well done everyone else too Smile

I want to be a member of the 3 stone off club by the end of September.

Everyone in the house is asleep except for me. I am watching Lewis at the mo. Dh is snoring on the sofa as usual... Hmm

Another fab loss bonzo that's an incredible amount, well done!

LittlePushka · 10/08/2011 23:30

Thanks for the invite to come over Cheeseandbiscuits. I just started SW online and have enjoyed reading the last ten pages of this thread so...

  1. Your daily menus are SO helpful, please keep posting them.
  2. You really support each other in such a positive way, how wonderful!
  3. Please excuse me if I ask moronic questions about SW it is all very new to me (ie been on it three days...)

Me - currently weighing in at the same weight I was a couple of weeks before I gave birth to my first child - (but without the same prospect of the immediate weight loss accompanied by fab little baby which follows labour!!)

So would like to lose 2st 3lb to take me to 10 st.

PS Just like everyone I speak to, I am thinking very much of you affected by the riots( kid, cheese and anyone whom I have missed.).

kid · 10/08/2011 23:59

I skipped watching the news tonight but from what I've read online, all is quiet in London. I'm not surprised its quiet, they have 16,000 police patrolling the area!
I'm interested to see what happens as the number of police on duty reduces. Local businesses are now protecting their own shops. Even the paper shop opposite my house constantly have 5 large men standing outside. It makes me scared to go in there nevermind the rioters!

I skipped doing my Shred tonight, it got too late but I am going to do it twice tomorrow because someone (haven't worked out RL names and MN yet) agrees with me that if I do it twice tomorrow, I can count that as 2 separate days Grin

I have been eating so much crap lately, its like I'm on holiday already!

LittlePushka · 11/08/2011 00:14

What is Shred kid?

kid · 11/08/2011 00:55

It's an exercise DVD called 30 day shred. It seems really good. Each session lasts 20 minutes which you do once a day and it claims you see results in 5 days. There are 3 levels, you do 10 days if each level.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 11/08/2011 08:20

Hi pushka welcome to the thread. Feel free to ask any questions.

kid it was me . Reckon it counts as 2 days. I might have to get this DVDGrin. The dance one also sounds good - let me know how you get on with it.

I'm aching from zumba yesterday. Got body conditioning today! Had a skinny cow caramel shortcake icecream lastnight. Will check syns later.

Food
B; weetabix
L; omelette and salad
D; summer lamb stew. Had mediteranian tray bake last night instead of stew, will post recipe later as it was yum!

grinningbee · 11/08/2011 09:11

Hello Littlepushka Smile ask any questions you like, that's what we're here for. I'm also doing SW online, and I'm sure someone else is too

We had a miracle last night. Got ds to bed somewhere around 9.30/10pm and he slept until 8am Shock!! Bliss. It didn't stop me waking up in the night though Hmm. Bet that won't happen again. Dd also went down without a fight for a change. I'll expect a repeat of that sometime next year Grin

So, food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Beans on toast, an apple and a yogurt
Leftover quorn bolognese and some pasta

I am going to watch the shred dvd in a bit to see what torture I have to do. Then I will give it a go later and report back.

Oh, and the tray bake sounds nice Cheese - is it the one from the SW mag?

kid · 11/08/2011 10:19

i'm off in 3 days (early hours of 3rd day so only 2 days really) and I still havne't packed, its a nightmare! I also need to buy a few more things but I have an unco-operative DS who is making life difficult when I need to go out. He insists on being left home alone which I'm not willing to do.

I am not going food shopping anymore now until we get back so I'm attempting to make do with what we have here. I have a feeling I'll need to get some basics as we have no bread, no breakfast cereal and not much milk. I'm certain there is some food in the freezer but its a case of looking through it!

Time to get moving I think, need to do shred quickly then get ready.
I was considering going to see smurfs but it will cost £31 for the 3 of us Shock

Grr, just typed long message then it deleted itself before I posted! Angry

From what I can remember...

Big welcome LittlePushka ! Everyone is very friendly here, and I find it a huge help. Well done all on their losses/STS :)

I've got a full-blown cold and feel rotten :( Have a huge craving for a bowl of proper ice-cream; would kill for some pralines & cream Haagen Dazs or some Ben & Jerry's Phish Food right now! Went food shopping earlier and bought dp and dss chocolate dream Krispy Kreme doughnuts, but had an apple and satsuma myself...! I have seriously never ever had this much determination or restraint on a diet before - am most proud Grin

Anyway, am going on a hen do/summer ball thing tomorrow night, which has a set 3-course meal (uh-oh) but am driving, so at least that'll keep the calorie count down.

Hope you're all doing well, fingers crossed on the job-front for dh ria

Thank you all for your welcome!

I have looked online for some recipe/menu ideas for EE or Green days but there are so many books I am a little overwhelmed by them all (only on day 4 of this!)

Can anyone tell me what you like to use. I need have an intense hatred of cooking (so I could do with one which is quite basic or at least does not have yards and yards of ingredients listed and then three pages of prep to follow.

Hey Rias, now the other day you were fossil hunting on the beach, next your DC are yomping on the moors and tonight you walking through fields. Do you live near the N Yorks coast by any chance?

Kid thanks for the shred explanation.

I'm beginning to wonder if there are any around here. I got the local Tsarina thing when they were looking for new ones, and not one person has joined in yet Sad

Hey ho.

It's Friday. Hurrah! I am going out later to buy myself some flowers, and maybe a new top. Knowing me though it'll be stuff for the dc instead Grin

Food for the day:

Banana, yogurt, and maybe a nectarine
Cheese triangles on toast and an apple
Sweet chilli chicken and a big heap of roasted veg

I am out of weetabix. Mil donated a box of god knows what brand as she claimed they gave her the runs Hmm so I didn't buy any this week. I normally buy Sainbo's own, so am not a weetabix snob. OMG they are disgusting. No taste at all. May as well eat wet tissue paper!

I am going to attempt Day 1 of the Shred today. I am totally unfit, so it will be interesting.

Angry Angry

And hungover emoticon

Dh had his old school mates over last night. We had a lovely evening and drank too much wine. He promised he'd get up with DD this morning so I could have a much needed lie in. Like hell he did! Very pissed off.

Anyway, food:
B: sw fry up
L: salad
D: chilli con carne

Will catch up later - am on phone and it's a pita
