Hi all!

Hope the title is ok - if not, someone else can do another one Grin

I thought it was DoD today which was ok but I'm glad it's tomorrow instead. I've got cardio combat tonight which is fun and if I be good foodwise, I might be happier with my WI tomorrow?

Off for a long drive shortly for ds to have a sleepover. It's such a pain as it means a 2 hour round trip for me and I don't particularly like driving!

kid · 27/07/2011 07:56

Good morning sw buddies.
Who is doing the DoD list this week?
I've done my WI but don't know who to message Grin

Hedgepig · 27/07/2011 09:06

Bee is doing the list Kid
I'm very Grin I have broken into the next stone.
must do some work before I get sacked

C4ro · 27/07/2011 09:16

Oh dear. Not a marvellous week for me but I can't really complain. The week was filled with nice meals and wine so it would have been hugely unfair/ unlikely to get a minus. I'm sure it is the drinks that scupper me, not to set up any expectation in you all that I'm some sort of lush but it seems my in/ out metabolics are so finely balanced that a few tipples topple me over(weight). At some point I'll locate my willpower and get to grips with this.

grinningbee · 27/07/2011 09:17

Goooooooooooood morning Doders!

Yep, tis me looking after the list today, so please send me those statsas and when you weigh in. I'll be doing the list tonight around 9ish (may be later if ds doesn't play ball Grin) so hopefully that gives everyone a chance to get on it.

Hedgepig that's fab news! I bet you are very very Grin. I am bouncing very tigger like today Wink

It's Big Food Shop day today and I need to meal plan and write the list. The dc need sirting first though if I'm to get a moment of calm to do it (ha!).

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a very sad banana
Either beans or cheese triangles on toast
Cannelloni
Fruit and yogurt for snacks

Good luck everyone! Grin

Some storming weight losses this week folks! Keep 'em coming Grin

Weekly shop all done and away, dc have had lunch so I'm having 5 minutes peace (I jinxed it, didn't I) with a coffee. It will not last Grin

I've switched to weighing myself in kg and then converting it online to stone and lbs. I plan to buy new scales but worry they will weigh differently to my current scales.

I was trying to decide what to wear today as I didn't fancy putting on my jeans which are clearly too loose on me. They so add an extra couple of inches of folded denim around my waist!
So, I opted to try on a pair of linen trousers that were too tight on me a few weeks ago. They are now loose enough for me to put my arm down them!
I also bravely tried on my size 14 bikini and it's a tiny bit loose. I'm not ready to get a size 12 yet but I don't think I'll be jumping in the pool on holiday just incase Grin

grinningbee · 27/07/2011 21:32

Well, here it is. The Dod list! We seem to be a few people short (although 2 are on holiday Envy so any latecomers will be added tomorrow.

Kid Has lost 4lb this week, Total loss 21lb
LakeFlyPie Has lost 4lb this week. Current weight 11st 12lb, Total loss 8lb, Target 10st 7lb
Grinningbee Has lost 4lb this week. Start weight 15st 11.5lb, Current weight 13st 12.5lb, Total loss 1st 13lb

Hedgepig Has lost 1.5lb this week. Start weight 14st 11lb, Current weight 11st 13lb, Total loss 2st 12lb
Pixiestix Has lost 1.5lb this week. Current weight 10st 4lb, Total loss 2st 8lb, Target 8st 13lb

SlinkyB Has stayed the same this week. Starting weight 12st 11 1/4lb, Current weight 12st 4 1/4lb, Total loss 7lb
C4ro Has put on 1.5lb this week. Start weight 181 lbs, target 27 lbs, Total loss 12.5 lbs

Much pom pom waving and general cheering as 3 of us have gone down into the next stone, lots of stickers to hand out, and I think all of us deserve a little bit of Wednesday cheeriness Smile

Here's to another good week! Wine

Hedgepig · 27/07/2011 21:50

well done everyone Wine
noting to report apart from being cream crackered, bed time soon zzzzzzzz

pixiestix · 27/07/2011 22:06

Woo hoo! Get all you 4 lb-ers! Grin Fantastic losses! Grin

Moaning Minnie Alert: Do any of you feel a bit deflated sometimes after the weigh in/ Dod, even if you have done well? I went to my session on Monday and was really pleased to get my 1.5lbs and boost my weight-loss up to 20% of my start weight. Really pleased for about half a nano-second that is as the leader woman said "Ooh Pixie how fantastic, only another 6 lbs until your 3 stone!" Confused I just felt so exhausted - like, "God, another bloody target, can't I stop already? I'm bored of this now, why can't this be enough. Whiiiiiiiiinge! I'm tired. I want a doughnut!!!" Blush

No, just me? Grin

pixiestix · 27/07/2011 22:08

I dont think I explained that very well! Just the sense of "Here we go again" - you struggle all week, and all you get at the end of it is another weeks struggle to look forward to. Cheerful tonight, aren't it? Grin

SlinkyB · 27/07/2011 22:19

Oh my goodness, well done all you 4lb off-ers! Am soooooo Envy ! It must feel so good to be in a new stone bracket, you have all inspired me! Am now going to be virtuous this week and shred every day too.

kid Must feel marvelous to have size 14's swimming on you, that's fantastic - do you feel a shopping spree comin on?!

Early night for me tonight too, hitting Ikea with the MIL tomorrow

kid · 27/07/2011 22:35

I love the size 14 trousers that ate loose on me. I can even pull them down without undoing them! But another pair of size 14s from next are not loose at all but are wearable. I think next are more accurate with their sizing than matalan or peacock. Either way, sw is working. My problem area is my belly. I blame it on 2 dc by 2 c-sections.

I can see a change in my shape, about bloody time! I'm still not entirely confident to wear tight clothes, I prefer to hide under something a bit floaty.

Well done to everyone who had losses. It's funny that a few lost 3lb last week and 4lb this week. Shall we go for a 5lb loss next week?!

Those that sts or gained. Hang in there and good luck for next week. It can be a bit disheartening when you don't lose (I've been there a few times) but hopefully it means more will come off next week. It might also be better to look at the loss over a month or so. I've worked out that I've lost 1 3/4 lb per week which is quite a good steady loss. That does include the 5 or 6lb I lost in first week but it balances out the weeks I didn't have great losses.

grinningbee · 28/07/2011 08:59

Kid Yay for the clothes getting too big and feeling loose. And Envy at being able to wear a bikini Grin. Double yay for the shape change. I'm wondering how much more I need to lose before there is a significant change.

Pixie I do know what you mean. I call it the diet doldrums. I had a spectacular fail once where I got so miserable I ate an entire Sara Lee double chocolate gateaux Blush. If you find yourself getting more and more down and wanting something naughty, just plan a day or just an afternoon of "flexible syns" have a couple of doughnuts, or whatever it is you fancy, then go back on plan. And you don't need to set a target as soon as you hit one. It helps to I suppose, but you can just carry and just see what happens without a set goal.

And Kid I thought it was funny that a few got 3lb last week, and 4 this week. I think going for 5 next week might be pushing it Wink Just imagine if we did it - would we go for 6 the week after Shock!

Right. Food for the day.

Weetabix
Cheese triangles on toast, an apple and a yogurt
Um, quorn bolognese I think but I need to make it this morning as out later.
Fruit for snacks

By the way, this may or may not be helpful. In the last week I have not eaten so many bananas or grapes, and had nectarines instead. I wonder if that helped

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 28/07/2011 09:27

morning
Pixie I don't set weekly goals other than to lose some weight, I have my ultimate goal of 10st 7lb but that is it. I think it depends on how your brain works tbh.

Kid you are right c.sections do do odd things to your stomach (I only had the one with DS1 but it is odd). I do not think a bikini will ever adorn my body even if I get to my target weight (I think the last time I wore one I was 14).

pixiestix · 28/07/2011 10:21

Definitely no bikinis here either! Grin The CS I had with DD makes me look like a blacmange on stilts. Well done though Kid - you sound like you are looking great. I'm only 5 ft 1 so although my weight is going down nicely I am still more of a size 16 than a 14.

You are totally right Hedgepig and Bee - it doesn't do me any good to have a constant weekly target in my head which is why I was so annoyed with my group leader for immediately leaping on one Angry I just wanted to be pleased with myself for a minute and chill out, rather than being faced with the next big push.

Might buy myself some nectarines today Bee - a 5 lb loss next week would be lovely! Grin

Hedgepig · 28/07/2011 11:23

Pixie I'd just have a word with her and say you find want to set mini targets, I don't stay to group anymore but I really hated the going around the room setting weekly targets. I'm sure some people like that method but it was just not me

Mousey84 · 28/07/2011 11:54

Morning ladies - well done on all the weight loss! Ive been fairly bad this week - wrecked my back, then took allergic reaction to one of the no added sugar dilute drinks. so basically, others cooked for me for the few days i spent in bed in pain, so felt I couldnt push the SW recipies on them , and then when i was better I still wasnt really able to stand and cook for long, so just snacked on rubbish :( exercise was bare minimum to keep up with gold level fit award.

SW class tonight and weekly shop arriving tomorrow - lots of good stuff in there including a fair amount of quorn products which dd and I both like. ("mmmm, mummy this is the tastiest chicken EVER" Grin )

I forgot I weighed in here on Wednesdays - I was 12 1 1/2 (tho was 11 13 3/4 on tuesday...darn it!) so only a 1lb loss this week. I WILL do better this week!

Is there a list of all free foods somewhere? I need to work on my snack list - some more filling but low syn stuff.

kid · 28/07/2011 14:01

I'm only 5ft 1 so a size 14 still isn't great but it's an improvement on what I was that's for sure. I'd only ever wear a bikini abroad where I'm never going to see those people again! I don't allow photos to be taken of me either although a few always seem to appear on the camera!

Bootcamp tonight, I so don't want to go. I've just got in from work and it's so hot out there. I do love the summer but only if I can sit around doing nothing. I should really take the dog out for a decent walk but I don't think he's well so i think he needs to rest Wink a nice gentle walk round the block will be ok I reckon.

I really need to sort out my holiday clothes. I would prefer to hold off until the last minute just incase I lose anymore inches. I did buy size 12 cropped leggings today but that doesn't mean I'm a 12, i just don't like baggy leggings!

LakeFlyPie · 29/07/2011 10:28

Great to hear about everyone shrinking into the next clothes sizes down.
I managed to button up the size 14 jeans which I couldn't squeeze over my fat arse a few weeks ago but they are still indecent a little tight to actually wear yet.

Sleep deprivation appears to have removed my ability to perform simple arithmetic, my total weight loss is actually 10lbs, I cheated myself out of 2lbs this week!

Dreadful evening of biscuit scoffing last night, should have just gone to bed.
Will write it off and will have to do without some syns this weekend.
Have managed to do some swimming (and lounging in the steam room Smile) this week so hopefully the exercise will defray the biscuit munching a little.

Need to make some weekend food plans, my freezer seems to be very full so need to investigate and plot some creations, also have lots of onions, peppers and courgettes so some more roasted veg in the pipeline I think.

Food so far today:
BF: All bran + banana + sk milk
L: Got lots of salad stuff so that with either tuna or cous cous depending on plans for evening meal (am still in green / red mode - EE just seems too restrictive on the HE A+B front).

Right off for a swim and then some meal planning and bit of weekend shopping.

grinningbee · 29/07/2011 11:36

Lake Yay for the smaller trousers!

I went into a shop today and tried on some size 20 jeans, and they were too big Shock so I bought the 18's without trying them on. I can get in them and do them up, but weirdly they are too short! The 20's were long enough but these are about 3 inches too short Confused. Oh well, back they go tomorrow.

I ended up with beans on toast for tea last night. Long story and dh not in my best books. And tea was at about 10.45pm. Not impressed. I am also sleep deprived. Got to bed at just after midnight, dd woke crying at 4.30, and when I got back to bed at 5.30, ds woke up. Had to get up at 6 to take dh to work. They'd better sleep tonight!

So... food for today:

Weetabix
Cheese triangles on toast, clementines and a yogurt
Sweet chilli chicken and roasted veg

Afternoon everyone, have been MIA for a while, but just wanted to post to say I am back in the game (again). Starting a weeks holidays this evening and hoping to get myself properly organised. Quick question ... is sweetcorn free on extra easy?

grinningbee · 29/07/2011 13:04

Welcome back Obrigada Smile

Just looked it up, and sweetcorn is free on green and extra easy. Hope you have a lovely holiday EnvyGrin

OP posts:
obrigada · 29/07/2011 14:27

Thanks Grinning, more of a rest period than a holiday, will be spending the week at home, have about a years worth of housework to catch up on Grin but at least it is a break from work which I am so looking forward to. Love sweetcorn so am delighted it is free on extra easy:)

kid · 29/07/2011 17:09

My DH is a very bad influence!
He collected me from work and took me burger king for lunch and then we went to the cinema. I wonder if I can still scrape a loss on Wednesday?
I didn't gym last night either so i should be extra good!
