Hi all!

Hope the title is ok - if not, someone else can do another one Grin

Hedgepig · 12/07/2011 22:30

Muser I am so impressed with all you ladies with young babies even contemplating a diet, it has taken me until DS2 is 2 1/2 to even feel ready to start a diet, and staying the same weight is good, much better than going up Grin

kid · 12/07/2011 22:53

hedgepig, I've got a wii fit and I think its great. I love the step game and also the hula hoop which is quite hard after a while.

I've also got the kinect for the xbox but have conviscated the xbox from DS so haven't been able to use it for ages! The dance on that is good but it takes photos of you during the dance which you can upload to FB or just delete!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/07/2011 08:06

Gain for me, but not surprised after the terrible weekend of eating and drinking.

Pm me your stats and I will publish this evening.

Food today:
B@ strawbs, FF nat yog and branflakes (HEB)
L: JP with baked beans and salad
D: salmon with roasted veg and sweet potato
Exercise: zumba

Am worrying about this weekend as we are going to a friends house - won't be diet food there I can assure you!

grinningbee · 13/07/2011 08:52

Morning all!

Cheese never mind, you know it'll come off again. I remember a very long time ago [old git emoticon] an SW consultant saying to me that if you'd been away etc and gained, at least you knew what you had done. It's worse if you've gained and don't know why. And she always used to say "and did you enjoy it?" Smile She was lovely.

The goal I had in my head that I was sooooo close to yesterday was to go under 200lb. I will get it next week! I also only need to lose 1 more 1lb to get the Club 10.

Just having brekky, and will then wrangle the dc and do the Big Food Shop.

The food for the day will be:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, fruit and maybe a yogurt too
I think it will be sweet chilli chicken with a big pile of roasted veg for dinner

Oh, and it was my turn for lack of sleep last night. Lovely ds woke up at 1.45 and wouldn't be fed back to sleep... until 2 hours later Angry

Somehow dh slept through... Hmm

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 13/07/2011 09:17

grinningbee I am totally in awe of that inch loss and might I also add? GREEEEeeeeeeen with envy! EnvyGrin

I haven't got on the scales this morning because MIL is staying and it involves jumping out of bed, putting in jammies, running downstairs, mega-pee, upstairs, strip, jump on scales. I do realise this is the flimsiest of all the flimmy-flammy excuses! Blush

I honestly don't know where I am, my jeans are doing up a hole tighter despite my "uterine area" being as hard as a rock.

I hope everyone is still being a big ol' loser and I shall report in tomorrow despite being too late for DoD.

LakeFlyPie · 13/07/2011 09:58

Morning Smile
Congratulations on losses and all the exercise.
Commiserations to the sleep deprived.

Food today:
B: FF yog, berries + muesli
L: Salad with either JP or cous cous
D: Roast chicken and roasted veg

Will try and Shred this morning if current bf (which feels more like a wrestling match) results in a sleep for DS2.

Hedgepig · 13/07/2011 13:25

afternoon, I PMed you Cheese
Today I am at home as DS2 is still grotty, I had the most awful night with DS1 and Ds2 ending up in my bed pushing each other out of the way!

A good weight loss this week and going below 12st is within my grasp Grin

Food:
B Shredded wheat and strawberries, melon rapes and natural yoghurt
L soup made with manky veg from the bottom of the fridge, (sound yumm)
D Quorn sausages and other stuff

did anyone else see quorn sausages are no longer free, it was on the web site last week

grinningbee · 13/07/2011 14:19

Sorry you had a bad night too Hedgepig. There's nothing quite like lack of sleep to make you cheery in the morning Grin

Alpine I've never had anyone envious of me before! It only looks good because I have a lot to lose though, honest. My starting waist size was 45 inches. That's really bad, isn't it. Still onwards and downwards.

Big shop all done and away. Looks like I did it at the right time too as there has been a whopper of an accident near me on the A1, and I would have been stuck for well over an hour had I left it a bit later. Unfortunately I got to see it on the way back Sad

On a cheerful note, ds is really getting this crawling forward malarky. Although dd has a habit of leaving food on the floor. I caught ds with a mini meringue the other day that she'd left! He rather enjoyed it too... till I took it away And no, I didn't eat it Grin

OP posts:
grinningbee · 13/07/2011 14:47

Doh! Forgot to add - I saw about the quorn sausages too. I'm sure I read it in the SW magazine. They don't have much of a value, but it's worth remembering that they're not free anymore.

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 13/07/2011 15:38

I just checked, and Quorn sausages now seem to be 1 syn each.

Well done on avoiding the traffic jam Bee there is nothing worse than being stuck in traffic with food defrosting in the boot

kid · 13/07/2011 16:48

I had a little gain this week but I don't care at the moment, I'm too tired to care.

I've got bootcamp tomorrow night so can work a bit harder as punishment for gaining!

I'm going food shopping on Sunday so need to write a list and know what meals I'm having in advance.
Tonight I'm making shepards pie but I'll leave the cheese off mine as I've used my HEa already (doing ee) I am going to try much harder this week, I don't really have a choice!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/07/2011 17:30

Will do the list latertonight, dd keeping me v busy today!

Not had many PMs.. Numbers are dwindling!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/07/2011 19:06

Just tried to do it but mumsnet won't allow access to inbox due to maintenance. Will try again later!

grinningbee · 13/07/2011 19:41

Hmm do we need to go hunting Cheese? Hope you got my PM. I'd like to think people would stick around even if they'd gained, but I know it's hard.

Oh well. I'm here for the longhaul. Sorry dd is being demanding today.

Just gone to make the sweet chilli chicken and the harissa paste is mouldy! So tonight it will be a slight variation... Grin

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/07/2011 20:05

Yep got a few.

Still can't get into my inbox [annoyed]

MMM mouldy harissa - yum yum!

kid · 13/07/2011 20:46

I still sent pm even though I did gain Angry
But I'm still very, very proud of myself for losing a stone and also for sticking to the gym. Even dh is impressed with my gym classes as it's quite rare I stick to anything. I think the fact that be told me I'd never stick to it made me more determined Grin

Arghh, I still have done any meal plans. Maybe I should focus on doing tomorrows menu and then take it from there.

Well done to everyone else that is still battling on with sw and hope those missing come back soon.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/07/2011 21:00

Had a look on chat thread, apparently there was a problem earlier where people could see each others PM. Explains why its been down for ages Angry

I agree with you kid. I'm pleased I have stuck with it this long . Esp with the exercise. Its not just about the stats, its also about getting fitter and healthier!

Hedgepig · 13/07/2011 21:22

Evening all, another one here for the long haul and even though I do go to a SW group in RL, I couldn't stand the meeting and the support from you ladies is just great Grin
bugger about the PMing hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Oh no about the Hassari paste Bee was it in the fridge? Mine says it keeps for 3 months in the fridge.

I put Hassari paste in my rather dull veg soup I made for lunch and it perked it up everso nicely.

grinningbee · 13/07/2011 21:47

It was in the fridge. It did say on the jar to use within 7 days of opening, but it was only just over that. Never mind! I subbed it with some hot chilli powder, ground cumin and ground coriander instead, and it tasted just as nice if a little bit milder.

I really must start the exercise bit. I have mentioned the Wii to dh Grin. I will stick around here as long as there is someone else here too - you'll have to put up with my ramblings for a looooong time yet! GrinGrin

Ds is refusing to give in and go to sleep even though he is knackered. Boo.

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/07/2011 22:10

DoD might have to be published tomorrow - sorry!

I'm also sticking to this like glue - I need to lose weight bad. Don't want to be the fat mum picking up DD at school gates. I want to run in her sports day parent race. I don't want to be an embarressment to her. Thats my motivation anyway.

I'm hungry...want icecream but yeo valley fat free vanilla yog will have to do instead Sad

kid · 13/07/2011 23:45

I'm still up even though I have to wake up for work at 6:30am. I find that the later I stay up, the hungrier I get. At least I've not stuffed my face today. Plus I walked home from work instead of driving.

Still haven't managed to meal plan, but I'll make lamb casserole tomorrow which is fine. Just need to come up with something for lunch which is getting boring (tuna and couscous)

I'm not going shopping till Sunday so i've got a bit more time to plan my meals. I'm wasting so many weeks though Sad

grinningbee · 14/07/2011 07:55

Kid Why do you think you are "wasting" weeks? I'm sure you're not Sad
Cheese You hit the nail on the head. I'm sure early on in the previous fred I mentioned I wanted to do be around for the children as long as I can, plus as you say, not wanting to be the "fat" mum. And I am doing it for me too. I've been overweight for so long if I don't do it now I never will.

Pm's still not working at the mo. Shall we post here instead do you think if it doesn't come back today?

Food for today is the same as yesterday.

Weetabix and a banana
Toast, cheese triangles and fruit
Leftover chicken and roast vegetables
Yogurt and fruit for snacks

Ds was up again last night. Yay. Dh went out to work very early this morning and woke me to say goodbye, then both dc woke up too... There is no emoticon that fits that!

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 14/07/2011 08:29

kid hope you got some rest. I often think "oh I have wasted this week" when I have cheated and gained. But it is impossible to have a good week every week.

Agree bee if its not working by end of the day we will publish our own stats.
Right today is legs bums and tums
B: starwbs, ff yog and branflakes
L: Jp and tuna
D: Beef casserole and spinach

alpine your excuse for not weighing in does not beat my hair is wet! I forget who said that! And you are diffed so you are forgiven.

kid · 14/07/2011 13:43

I'm wasting weeks by not sticking to plan and not losing weight some weeks. I do know it's working though as my belt is now 2 holes tighter.

I slept well last night but am in such a bad mood today. Poor kids at work, it's not taking much to irritate me!
