Hi all!

Hope the title is ok - if not, someone else can do another one Grin

Good morning!

Sounds like everyone had good weekends Grin Hope any hangovers are better now Wink

Not much to report here. Nothing naughty has been consumed [boring emoticon] and I have a lovely day of washing and cleaning ahead.

The food for today will be:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast with grapes and an apple
Cannelloni from an SW magazine

By the way, anyone else had the new magazine yet? Is it me, or are the recipes not as good this time? I couldn't find anything I wanted to try, but then it was mostly salady type stuff I thought. Maybe I shoud have another look.

Uh oh, dd is just bringing me the 4th book of the morning to read...

Back on form, feeling tip top today.

kid I reckon you could do a stone but you'd have to be strict.

Heading home later today, no food in the house so who knows what I'll be eating later.
hopefully
B: weetabix
L: tuna pasta salad
D: will go to supermarket later, maybe make rogan josh?
Going to be extra good this week to make up for the disaster of a weekend

grinningbee · 11/07/2011 09:16

Kid I agree that you'd have to be very strict. You'd need to lose 3 pounds a week! Not impossible I suppose, but hard Smile

I measured myself again last night btw - so far it's 4 inches gone from bust, 5 from waist and 5 from hips. Yay! Didn't get to go jeans shopping yesterday in the end, but hopefully will this weekend. Otherwise I am sure I will have a jeans falling down situation soon!

Right. Nappy changing calls, then some vigorous hoovering etc. Day of Doom approaches!

Hello? Anyone else there?

You're all off having fun, aren't you! Envy

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 11/07/2011 16:36

I'm here, back from waterbabies. Today we dunked the babies - DD took it in her stride as usual!
Popped to the co-op for grub for tonight and about to do online shop.
Dinner today prawn stirfry with egg fried rice.

Am dreading Weds already...

grinningbee · 11/07/2011 17:02

That sounds like fun Cheese. I wonder how ds will react to being in a pool... Hmm We'll find out in September when we go on holiday.

It's my DoD in the morning, and I'm dreading it too! I don't think I'll get the 2lb off I wanted for the stone and a half, but hopefully that'll be next week. We'll see...

Off to start making the cannelloni in a minute. Hope it's worth the faff. Oh, and I mentioned a diet caulifower cheese recipe the other day. One word for you. Yuck.

Bizarrely dh liked it, but then he smothers everything in an inch of brown sauce.

OP posts:
kid · 11/07/2011 18:52

Okay, I'll have to be strict then, from tomorrow Grin

I intend to plan my meals for the week tonight, DH is home late so I'm going to relax with the TV control in one hand and the laptop in the other!
Its so much easier to stick to plan if you write it out in advance.

My freezer looks like its leaking, not impressed if its broke. I think the freezer has been overloaded and the circulation isn't too good. I'll take some meat out tonight so there is a bit more space in there, hope that does the trick.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 11/07/2011 20:38

Hows the menu planning going kid?

I'm knackered. DH is on nights this week so its just me, here is hoping that DD continues to sleep through. Made a major cock up - going on hol in 10days and found the form for DD passport in the bottom of my changing bag. Disaster, the only place they can fit us in is Newport on Fri. They can only do it in 7 days - we fly the following Sat. Please can everyone cross their fingers?!

kid · 11/07/2011 21:02

Fingers crossed for you cheese

The menu planning hasn't started yet, I am so tired I just to have a nap which seems to be becoming a habit each night!
DC are still up and driving me insane.

My body is aching after cardio class yesterday, I didn't think the class was that difficult but judging from the aches and pains I'm feeling now, it must have been exercising loads of muscles I don't usually use.

Right, where did I put my SW magazines?
Speaking of SW magazines, when does the new one come out? My latest addition is the July one.

Hedgepig · 11/07/2011 22:34

Fingers crossed Cheese so have you got to go to Newport in Fri, I have in my head you are in London so that is quite drive

Ok day food wise and I resisted wine tonight, but DS2 is a poorly sick boy tonight so it could be a long night.

I made a nice tea tonight roasting a chicken on a bed of passata and chopped veg, I didn't skin the chicken but didn't eat the skin so it can't have been too bad syn wise. Even DH said it was tasty.

grinningbee · 11/07/2011 22:48

Ooooh, fingers crossed Cheese.

Hedgepig Hope ds has a restful night for you and feels better soon.

I can report that the cannelloni was very much worth the faff. Dh gave it a 10/10 Shock and said he can't wait for the leftover half tomorrow! Spectacularly Shock seeing as it's meatless.

I'll post the recipe tomorrow if anyone wants it, together with my "alterations" to it.

I am watching Man vs Food again. I am a glutton for punishment, aren't I. I should be going to bed and thinking "light" thoughts for the morning Grin

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 12/07/2011 07:42

Morning all, bloody awful night with DD - not unsurprising as it always happens when DH is on nights, she must sense my weakness. Had about 3 hours sleep. How was your night hedge

Quiet day I think, meeting a friend for coffee so will walk there and back (about an hour walk round trip)
B:strawba
L: JP baked beans and salad
D: some sort of fish, sweet potato wedges and roasted veg

Will have to try the cannelloni bee

Can;t rememeber who asked but new SW mag is out. I'm going to get it today but my mum warned me that there isn't a huge amount in it!

grinningbee · 12/07/2011 08:15

Oh Cheese, sorry for your bad night Sad Might you be able to sneak a nap if she drops off?

I had the new mag delivered a few days ago, and there really isn't much in it at all. Quite disappointed actually. Oh well, I'll be sticking to the usual repertoire until the next one turns up - hopefully with something nice in it!

Things here have taken a turn for the interesting. Ds has just worked out forward motion. Eeeeeeeeek!! Not proper crawling, more pulling himself along in a slow commando stylee. Nothing is safe anymore Grin I feel my days are about to get a lot busier.

Right. Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, grapes and an apple, maybe a mullerlight
Leftover cannelloni

SlinkyB · 12/07/2011 08:31

It was my DoD yesterday and I lost a pound and a half, which I'm actually pleased with as didn't do any exercise last week and wasn't exactly a saint ! Feeling more motivated this week (could it be because the sun is shining? Always find it easier to stick to plan when the weather is nice) and started the 30 Day Shred yesterday morning. My legs ache a little today but that can only be a good thing, right?

Didn't have the best nights' sleep and DS has just gone down for a nap...tempting to crawl back to bed instead of shredding?!

grinningbee · 12/07/2011 12:24

I've just added the cannelloni recipe to the list. I think it's one that can have lots of variations so let me know if you try it Grin

OP posts:
grinningbee · 12/07/2011 12:25

Slinky did the bed win? Wink And well done on the 1.5lbs!

OP posts:
SlinkyB · 12/07/2011 12:47

grinning OF COURSE the bed won! Wink. Woke up with DS at 10am and am now behind schedule with everything, never mind, needed the kip. Am either going to shred later this afternoon when he naps, or when dp comes home tonight, but I WILL do it (I will, I will, I will...must keep telling myself this!).

That cannelloni recipe looks delicious, I'll definitely be trying that in the near future - thanks! Smile

grinningbee · 12/07/2011 14:30

Just read something interesting, thought I'd bung it here in case anyone else is.

Do you know how many calories you need to reduce by to lose 1lb? I just looked it up - it takes a reduction of 3500 calories to lose 1lb (7000 for two Shock etc)

I was quite staggered. I have too much time on my hands I think, looking this stuff up! Grin I'm not even going to start on the fact that as you get lighter you need less calories (bit obvious I s'pose) so the natural consequence will be the lighter you get, the harder it gets to lose. Damn. I shall have to start exercising, won't I!

That's todays pointless ramble over with GrinGrin

Time to hoover.

OP posts:
johnworf · 12/07/2011 18:11

Hello ladies. Had my weigh in today and despite going off piste once or twice last week (birthday), I've lost 2.5lbs. Rather pleased as thought I'd put on.

BonzoDooDah · 12/07/2011 18:46

Well done jw. That's great going.

I'm away and had delicious icecream today and last night was fish and chips on the beach. Were delicious all but I need to do some more running around before (delayed) DoD on Thurs. Eek!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 12/07/2011 19:53

Today has been a disaster. DD seems to have regressed 8 weeks overnight..I'm shattered, she's shattered...

Will try again tomorrow!
bonzo sounds yummy, very jealous!
john well done, very good
bee thats interesting. I do think exercise is a large chunk of it - it means you can have the odd slip up. And it tones you up!
slinky well done on the 1.5lbs

Am doubting a loss tomorrow. Pm me stats tomorrow and I shal publish!

kid · 12/07/2011 21:05

I really hate it when I write a reply and then there is an error and my post disappears. but I'm clever as I copied the text before sending so can paste it if it disappears. I really need to get a life lol

I went cardio combat tonight which burns between 800 and 1300 calories and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I plan to continue going twice a week as well as my usual bootcamp class.

I managed to stick on plan today but I'm still not expecting a loss this week as I've a greedy pig most of the week!

Hedgepig · 12/07/2011 21:27

LOL Kid you are very organised.

Well done JW good going old bean Grin

I have been very hungry today but I have managed to stick to the plan. those Caramel Snack a Jacks are a life saver (well good for biscuit avoidance anyway)

I am really struggling to do any exercise with working and running around with DS1 after school. Don't laugh but I got Wii Fit Plus for my Birthday, not as energetic as boot camps etc but I have half a chance of doing some.

I really want to make that Spinach & Mushroom cannelloni, I will add the ingredients to the shopping list

grinningbee · 12/07/2011 21:55

Ooooh, well done to the losers so far - some fab losses already Grin

Hedgepig We have just eaten the other half of the cannelloni, and it was just as yummy as yesterday. I bet some garlic bread would go lovely with it .

Biiiig food shop tomorrow so I've just planned the meals for the week.

By the way, I wouldn't laugh at getting a Wii fit. I would like one as I can't see me getting to a gym anytime soon, although I would really like to. I keep looking on ebay at the used ones, but need to convince dh that it'd be a good idea.

My Dod has been ok, but very frustrating. I am so close to a particular milestone I have in my head, but with any luck I'll get it next week! (I'll share tomorrow). Half a pound more would have nailed it. Can you sense the frustration? GrinGrin (TMI - And no, no matter how much you will yourself, you cannot make the body expel half a pound if it doesn't want to!)

Hello all. I'm afraid I let this thread and the plan slip over the last week. I am still battling with the 4 month sleep regression and have been finding it impossible to care about food as well.

I seem to have stayed the same despite my scant attention to the rules, but need to get my head back in the game. Sleep or no sleep, I want to get to my first stone loss.

Hope everyone is doing well.
