hmc and littlefish can I join your 50lb club please! Got my certificate this morning, and my mum got to goal, so a good week all round!

WI this am, lost 2.5lb, so only 2.5lb to go to goal! Have discovered that somewhere along the line I have lost an extra lb on my card, it should be 51lb since I started, but is only noted as 50 - I'm off to figure out when I missed out on a lb loss!

HaughtyChuckle · 18/05/2011 13:22

Anyone made short goals but are in for the long haul?

HeyH0 · 18/05/2011 13:22

Carey Well done on the 5lb loss. The online tracker gives me a rollicking virtually every week. I appreciate WW have to cover themselves, but you'd think a leader would exercise a bit of common sense and look at the bigger picture; how overweight a person is, pattern of losses, their activity levels Wink etc.

Off to catch up on the end of the old thread... but in case I forget, NoWay you looked fab in your frock!

Littlefish · 18/05/2011 13:25

Shoulders & hmc - Congratulations to you both on your 50lb losses! I think that Wyken got here before us so she can be part of our mini-quiche. Grin

Anyone else?

hmc · 18/05/2011 13:29

Littlefish and Shoulders - I did briefly consider getting a t-shirt printed with '50' on it, but then it occurred to me that people might think that was my age!! We've done good haven't we? - and Wynken too before us ...raises a Wine

FarFarAway · 18/05/2011 13:34

Can I join in. I need motivation big time. I joined WW online 2 months ago and started well but then it kind of died out. Want to loose 2 and half st. Will start following this thread now.

HeyH0 · 18/05/2011 13:37

Well done to the 50lb-ers. 22 (and a bit) bags of sugar, gone. You've inspired me to modify my mini goal. :)

FarFarAway · 18/05/2011 13:42

add me in with I want to 10stone10 by end of June. That is a total of 1 stone to loose - am I being unrealistic?

LoopyLa · 18/05/2011 13:42

Marking spot and can't believe I missed the race to the end!!

Well done IHeart Grin

loubloutwinmum · 18/05/2011 14:05

Hi Ladies, having one of those days today - everything has gone wrong. Dropped a 4 pint carton of milk on the kitchen floor this morning when doing the kids their cereal!!! Went everywhere & splashed up all the cupboards! We were already running late but girls were really good and just got them to school on time. Then I got back to my car and I had been blocked in and it was 10 mins until the owner wandered back, totally oblivious. I was already late for work and as I didn't have time to get ready properly after the milk drama, I feel a state and can't concentrate at work at all - so thought I would catch up on the new thread!!!

Littlefish - amazingly well done on your 50lb loss, you should be incredibly proud. Shoulders you too - WOW - very, very impressive.
NoWay - big thanks for menu ideas, I have bought the ingredients to do the asparagus, feta and mint starter and am doing meringues and berries for pudding. I am doing a mixed seafood linguini for main course though as my in-laws love fish and it is very low in points. Thanks for your input - will report back tomorrow.
Herdingcats - I took a few measurements when I first joined WW last November so will have to dig them out - was only waist, hips and bust I think but will let you know as am intrigued now.
Vnmum - hope you are feeling brighter and not as homesick. I am impressed by your will power - I would not be able to only eat 14 points in a whole day - I would be utter hell to live with!
Careyfakes & Gemmummy - well done on 5lb losses this week, that is superb!
Herdingcats & Littlefriendsusan - my girls are also very tall for their age and one takes after me so is much "heavier" set and the other is just like her Dad and very slight! I worry when they compare themselves and I am very careful not to discuss losing weight or my weight issues in front of them. They are both as tall as most 10 year olds in their school. We can just give them as much confidence as we possibly can and try to ensure they love themselves and their bodies!
Farfaraway - hope you get on track. I've done it all on line and managed to lose 3 stone in 5 months so it does work so keep going.

Well, wish me luck with cooking for the in-laws tonight and give me some will power so I can refuse any more than one glass of wine!!! Got to get the girls to finish their homework after school too and am sure I am going to have a kitchen that smells of rancid milk! Will mop the floor once again.... Oh the glamour.

hmc · 18/05/2011 14:12

and me loubloutmum! (sulks)

hmc · 18/05/2011 14:14

Sympathies on the 4 pinter - hate it when that happens!

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 18/05/2011 14:21

Oooo, a new thread and I'm in a mini-quiche, hurray ! Congratulations HMC, Shoulders and Littlefish, feels good doesn't it. I'm now working on the next 50lbs, I'll be done at the end of that thank goodness. I've given up trying to keep up with these threads so will go for saying a big well done to everyone who has lost this week and a keep at it, don't be disheartened for anyone who has stayed the same or gained. I guess I should make a mini goal:

Androbob. Lose half a stone by end of June
Wizzler. Be 10st 7 by end of June
SpringFollows . Be 10 stone 7 by end of June.
CareyFakes. Be 14 stone by the end of June.
HeyH0. Drop 6kg by the last Sunday of June & hit the 50lb lost mark.

hmc - am very sorry - it is not something that should be missed!!! Well done you too - be very proud. Sorry I missed you - always miss someone when I name check. xx

mistlethrush · 18/05/2011 14:45

Some great losses on the new thread!

If anyone wants the list I mentioned on the other thread that helps with which foods are best in terms of GI, pm me and I'll sort it out for you.

I'm somewhat in shock - 4lbs for me today - which means 10.5 in 4 weeks - unheard of! I'm sure that it will slow down though... and I am only aiming at the 29 and not using anymore (sometimes have to have a glass of wine to make the points up Blush)

loubloutwinmum · 18/05/2011 14:49

Forgot to add a mini goal:

Androbob. Lose half a stone by end of June
Wizzler. Be 10st 7 by end of June
SpringFollows . Be 10 stone 7 by end of June.
CareyFakes. Be 14 stone by the end of June.

WynkenBlynkenandNod. Lose 9lbs by the end of June to hit 5 stone loss.
Loubloutwinmum - to lose 7lb by 23 July!

hmc · 18/05/2011 14:49

loubloutwinmum - don't apologise, so much going on with this thread it's impossible to keep up with it ! Smile

hmc · 18/05/2011 14:50

Well done on the 4lb mistlethrush - what a result! (and ealier I meant to mention well done littlefriendsusan on your unofficial loss this week Wink)

herdingcats · 18/05/2011 16:52

Everyone seems to be having a good week Smile can you rub some of those good vibes on me please. I am going to WI ,but DD will not come into the room, she is going to take her ds and play that whilst I'm in the meeting. She will be safe as its in her school. I don't really talk about WW either to her as I have never done any kind of diet beore and worry when I hear other girls in school going on about weight etc. I am very positive in my words about how she is. There is no way I want her to have issues with food, she was ill as a toddler and her food intake was terrible,so much so that she lost 25% of her body weight .It took until she was 6 for her to be recovered.
Mistle- the lady I go with has lost 15lb in 4 weeks ,she got roasted by the leader last week . I do not think she is eating even half her points, losing like that. Not healthy at all.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/05/2011 17:25

but if you dont eat your points you dont lose weight as body thinks it is starving

OP posts:
hoops997 · 18/05/2011 17:33

hello, everyone, just marking place on the new thread :)

HaughtyChuckle · 18/05/2011 17:41

How is all

Aw I just got a written letter of my team leader saying she missed me atthe meeting hopes all is okay bless her :) hand written and everything

only had 15 of my points so far :O

JoJoBaldwin · 18/05/2011 18:26

Congratulations to Shoulders and hmc on joining the 50lb club, what an inspiration to us all!
Fab loss gemmumy - very motivating loss for your first week!
lou good luck with cooking for the in-laws.

Had good day today with two 40 mins brisk walks and spent all day doing first aid course so no opportunity to snack. Didn't bring sweetener with me so had unnecessary points via my coffees though. Had delicious low fat rice cakes with sweet chilli philly for lunch, with some grapes and nairns caramelised onion oat bakes (like crisps but made from oats and baked instead of fried).

Was starving when I got home though so went a bit mental and had a curly wurly, slice of toast and some hummus. Still only at 22 points for the day though so room for a bit of dinner later - yay!

vnmum it's a bit naughty to be eating as little as 14pp! Though do understand if you had a blowout on the weekend. I'm tempted to (try) and have a low point day tomorrow the day before WI due to my own weekend debauchery.

vnmum · 18/05/2011 19:09

well done mistle
jojo i know it's naughty but it wasn't just a weekend blowout, it was cake scoffing on sunday and monday after i had already used all my 49 on thurs and fri so it's a desperate measure to do some damage limitation. I WI tomorrow morning so will be eating normally again tomorrow, don't worry Smile
