You lot! Over 'ere! Sorry for taking liberties with the previous thread: I am no good with suspense, and it was like looking at a gigantic throbbing pustulating boil and not being able to squeeze it

AlpinePony · 16/06/2011 06:24

Gosh! Aren't we all doing well? Pats on the back for everyone I think! :)

I want a stone for next week too please! A whole stone feels like such a significant milestone, doesn't it?

B: 1 weetabix +half banana
L: prawnsm avocado, tomato, black beans(?), pinenuts, olive oil, balsalmic
D: thai chicken - will make own sauce + loads of veggies, no rice fer me tar.

grinningbee · 16/06/2011 07:40

Right then, that'll be our challenge for next week then? Get down into the next stone.

Bloofer don't feel sad, you know you'll come back with a stonking weightloss once you can concentrate on it.

Welcome to Humpty! I don't go to classes either, but joined online. You'll get all the group support you want on here anyway Grin

Ok. Todays food will be:

Weetabix and a banana
Toast and fruit
Leftover chicken and a big heap of roasted veg
Usual snacks of more fruit

grinningbee · 16/06/2011 07:42

Bum, too many thens in that post. Lack of sleep and small wiggly person on my lap!

Muser · 16/06/2011 08:56

Muesli & milk
Healthy lunch tbc
Pork chops with veg from the veg box
Snacks: fruit, I have lots of fruit. 2 x babybels

C4ro · 16/06/2011 09:09

Another week with no gainers... You lot are hardcore! Cheerleader jumps and pompom waving for you all going at the next stone bracket this week.

I had one of those dignity-loss moments yesterday that are crippling at 20 but you can, thankfully, mostly shrug off when you're older. Post baby my periods have (usually) been massive flood things with lots of warning cramps and pain and stress. Yesterday I started one but it sneaked up on me with no cramps and so I didn't notice it. Yep, crotch of light beige linen slacks had blood all over it when I finally wondered why the heat was making my trousers sticky in the afternoon. This was at work too. Don't think any one noticed but might now be the talk of the coffee room!

Is the rest of Europe cooking like we are? In the four weeks we've been here it's been below 20 degrees about 2 days only.

cheese I've been on JMB and found those swimsuits. Found a sweet little hat too which managed to slip into the shopping bag with it! Wasn't sure how they size out so I got the 1-2 year one. She is only 10.5 months but is a bit of a chunk so I guess it won't be far off fitting.

UrsulaBuffay · 16/06/2011 09:11

Erm, I gained but...

C4ro · 16/06/2011 09:13

... actually, if they noticed anything, they probably saw my comedy waddle to the car with thighs pressed together more than any actual blood!

C4ro · 16/06/2011 09:15

Ursula ! come join me at the back of the class!

grinningbee · 16/06/2011 09:37

C4ro - poor you with the trouser situation. I'm usually in the floody group for the first couple of days (yuck). I'm still waiting for everything to go back to normal post ds. I'm sure no-one noticed what had happened.

I remember going swimming when I was still at school, sat on the side of the pool waiting for my race and when I got up there was a horrible rusty mark...

obrigada · 16/06/2011 09:38

I also want to get into the next stone bracket, which would mean a weight loss of 3lb this week, am currently 12st 2lb, although at rate I am going (1lb a week) am not too sure that I will manage it.
Am actually a little intrigued at the 'but' bit of your post Ursula ....

C4ro · 16/06/2011 11:16

Ursula I don't know how my eyes skipped over the end of the list and your awful, shameful gain of half a pound. I was certain sure I was bottom. Think of it as an excellent springboard though for a huge leap forward for you next week.

Bee exactly my point; to a child that is utterly mortifying and I'm sure was horrendous for mini-you but I'm struggling to mind really. I'm peeved that the stain didn't come out very well in the wash though.

I'm not much in the mood for work today clearly, from the amount of posting!

grinningbee · 16/06/2011 12:47

Those stains never flaming well do. I don't believe washing powder ads anymore, certainly not with what children can do to clothes!

I'm sitting here with blue stained fingers. Dd has one of those painting books you paint with water... except she tipped the water over the whole book and there are puddles of inky water everywhere. What a good idea that was.

Must be time for lunch. I am sooooo hungry today! Caught myself looking longingly at dd's mini chocolate eggs. How easy would it be to just pop one in my mouth Sad

Still - can't let the side down, especially when there are now 5 of us aiming for the next stone down next week!

kid · 16/06/2011 15:02

I'm off to my bootcamp class in a couple of hours, i'm in agony from aerobics last night but I am dedicated on the exercise front. Its my legs that are hurting so I'm sure they'll be hurting even more by the time I get home!

Will be having a pasta n'sauce for dinner, quick, easy, simple and tasty Smile

Cheeseandbiscuits · 16/06/2011 17:22

Hello all!

Well done everyone on good losses this week!
c4ro gosh that brings back memories of accidents as a teenage..cringe! Least you can laugh about it eh?!

Take that was awesome, had a really funny girlie evening out. And of course, the boys did their classics which brought back memories! Robbie did some solo stuff which was good too.
Food wise, haven't been great but not particulary bad either. ignores the 2 pints of beer and4 glasses of wine last night
But back on the horse now, I;m going to go to zumba tonight so burn off some of the calories I inhaled and then synfree soup for dinner!

UrsulaBuffay · 16/06/2011 18:03
Grin

well I gained 3/4 lb pre poo, 1/4 after (fookin big poo) & sw online don't do quarters only half so I have made it a 1/2lb, so that was the but!

C4Ro don't worry I am truly saddened by this enormous failure & newly inspired Grin

plebshire · 16/06/2011 19:36

Evening,

I've been lurking for a little bit now but would like to become a fully-fledged member please-and-thank-you.

Following a diet of my own creation which I have named the 'Just put it down, chubs' diet.

Struggling for motivation at the minute as I've got a three week stint in one of the less salubrious corners of the subcontinent coming up soon where, going on previous experience, I will get either a) fat or b) dysentry making all previous weightloss pointless. I need me some public shame support!

humptydidit · 16/06/2011 19:53

Ok so can somebody explain how it works with the weigh in on here?

I am currenlty 13 st 1lb.. so will join you in trying to lose 2lb to get into 12 st!!

Grin
kid · 16/06/2011 21:06

humptydidit
with weighing in, you just have to send a private message to whoever is compiling the Day Of Doom list. Its done every Wednesday.
Its up to you what info you want to give. I decided to just give what I have lost that week and my overall weight loss too.

You can set yourself mini targets, going into the next stone down makes you feel a lot better, I know it made me feel better anyway.

I started by setting myself 1/2 stone target at a time. I've now lost 1 stone so I'm now just happy to record what I've lost. I know its ridiculous but I'm still not happy to reveal my weight to anyone, not even DH!

humptydidit · 16/06/2011 21:53

thanks kid
will let you all know how I get on next week then, my weigh in is on Sunday randomly!!1

Cheeseandbiscuits · 16/06/2011 23:14

Waves at humptydidit and plebshire Welcome to our band of brothers!

kid summed it up perfickly, that is how the DoD works. Unsure who is doing the list, either me or onlyaphase, so just PM us and then we publish the list monday eve. Give as little or as much info as you would like!

Made SW pesto for dinner again, twas alright with a bit of pasta.

kid · 16/06/2011 23:25

I changed my WI day from Monday to Wednesday. Its much better as I can relax a bit at the weekend and then be good during the week.

grinningbee · 17/06/2011 07:53

Good morning!

Glad Take That were good Cheese. The last concert I went to was on my 39th birthday and I cried like a loon . I'm not saying who incase you lot take the pee!

Welcome to Plebshire good name!

I did a sad thing the other day and added up the total weight loss from this weeks DoD. I know there is more to add from the list absentees, but it was a total of 7.5 stone! We've lost a skinny person between us all!

Right I can hear dd calling, so very quickly, todays food:

Weetabix and a banana
Toast and fruit
Beef curry with lots of broccoli
Fruit for snacks

Cheeseandbiscuits · 17/06/2011 09:47

Oh go on bee, tell us who you went to see! I may have shed a hormonal tear when Robbie sang Angels. I blame the pint of lager, in the plastic glass with a straw! Went to Cardiff Uni so being there brought back memories of happy carefree student days...
7.5stone - crikey! (wish more of that total came from me!)

Nothing planned on the exercise front today, but my food is:
B:Melon and yog and branflakes (HEB)
L: JP, baked beans and salad
D: tuna steaks with roasted veg

grinningbee · 17/06/2011 12:30

Seeing as you asked... In my defence, I have liked them since they started in the early 80's, and was gutted that their farwell tour was in the area around ds's due date so I couldn't go.

A-ha Blush

Saw them at the Albert Hall once and was only a few rows back. Phwoar!!!

Well, better not sit and daydream. Back to reality and getting small people their lunches and do the washing up.

Muser · 17/06/2011 12:34

A-ha rule.
