Not good to confess so much badness at the start of a new thread so I'll save that for next week Blush

Ok I may have to do it in kg though as that's what our scales are in. When I gave birth I was 80kg. The weight has really come off and I'm down to 67kg (10 1/2 stone roughly) but want to be 60kg (9 1/2) which is where I was before ds. Target for that is mid February as we are trying to get home for my Grandma's 90th when we will have a bug family party so would like to surprise everyone then. I would ideally like to get down to 64kg (10 stone?) by Christmas so 3kg which is probably achievable but of course Christmas is not a particularly good time for eating and drinking.

I am really struggling to fit exercise in especially with going back to work, dh being away or not back home till 8 most nights.

Merlion · 19/11/2011 01:26

Big not bug obviouslyBlush

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/11/2011 13:40

Working is a bugger for fitting in exercise. Do you have any facilities at work - gym etc? Or could you run in? Even going for a fast half hour walk at lunchtime would help. I quite often do an exercise dvd at 8 or even 9pm once the DC are in bed but no good if you eat dinner with DH. sazz sometimes does hers with her DDs, could you and DS have a go?

3kg by Christmas is doable - just over 0.5kg a week. I am trying to lose 6lb so almost the same target Smile

Although saying that I haven't got off to the best start, mini kievs and oven chips for tea last night with pringles for pudding Grin Today I have had no breakfast then bacon butty and tiramisu for lunch...

SazZandASparkler · 19/11/2011 14:22

Oooh, lovely to see everyone here Grin

merlion I agree with littlies/work it is difficult to fit it all in - exercise DVD's/walking to nursery/work are the best options i think.

I would also like to lose half a stone by Xmas, but if i'm honest I don't think it likely. A friend has offered to lend me a dress for the big party i am going to on the 28th so i will see how that fits - if it fits ok, then i shall concentrate on my bingo wings and aim for toning and shaping.

Had delicious fajita's last night which were not too bad calorie wise, however I daren't think about the nacho's Blush

Moules Mariniere for tea tonight which i am looking forward to as i do find i need something lighter if i have had a big heavy meal the day before. It will be swerving the bread and cheese afterwards which will be more of a challenge........

Well done on all the losses ladies - just remember even if we are not losing much, we are not gaining excessively and are much much fitter than when we started Smile

SazZandASparkler · 19/11/2011 14:23

fjorn - step away from the Tiramasu - It is NOT your friend.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/11/2011 14:28

Too late sazz Grin and anyway it was my friend! Surprisingly the asda iramisu seems to be made quite traditionally with egg white to froth the mascarpone rather than double cream so only 300 cal per portion. Worked that off last night wiping up various bodily fluids so am evens so far today Grin

Okish food since Saturday this weekend, no exercise, but then nowt new there. Triathlon tomorrow.....

YougreatPumpkinmousse · 20/11/2011 20:17

Evening :)

I have been terrorising the London public with my double buggy - every where I went was up hill! Good with food - chicken salad for lunch even though pizza was calling my name. Roast chicken and veg for dinner.

StrictlySazz · 21/11/2011 16:33

3.5k run, 10k bike, 5 mins powerplate, 400m swim.

luckoftheirish · 21/11/2011 16:54

Wow sazz GrinGrinGrin get you Grin

Back in agony so no training for me Sad

aStarInStrangeways · 21/11/2011 18:57

realised i need to set myself some goals. it's hard finding the time and energy to exercise atm so this week my goals are:

at least two sessions of exercise (yoga dvd or similar)
no biscuits at toddler group
pay more attention to why i want to eat - getting better at this but still having the occasional slip e.g. last night's curry face-stuffing due to stressful journey home

StrictlySazz · 21/11/2011 19:33

LOL LOTI - i start the week with a bang and then fizzle out......Grin

star I had my lightbulb moment when using Food Focus - i could eat anything, just not as much as I ideally like. Hence I started to really focus on what i was putting in my mouth (much as you say) and make sure i was enjoying every single mouthful. If i wasn't really enjoying something i actually worked out i could stop eating Shock.

I now rarely eat my main meal of the day with the DC as i get so distracted by them asking for stuff/moaning etc, that i was just shovelling my own plateful into my mouth without actually tasting/enjoying it. I always sit with them and have a cuppa etc but they don't seem to care if i am eating or not Hmm

Also, once i worked out that 100 calories of food takes -feckin masses of bloody-- exercise to burn off, it was easier to curb the food than up the exercise.

Anyhoo, sounds like they are fab goals and let us know how best for us to support you Smile

LOTI - have you rubbed on some ibuprofen gel? Do you know how you did it? My back/arms are still a little sore but thankfully not too bad.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 21/11/2011 22:22

Oops, pork pie for lunch BlushBlush but have shredded tonight so that will counteract about a quarter of the pie...

OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 22/11/2011 09:22

Well done on the shred fjorny Smile

I am stuffed for the rest of the week exercise wise... Back is totally wrecked, old car crash injury back to haunt me Sad

Scales v v gloomy too SadSad

StrictlySazz · 22/11/2011 18:15

Oh no LOTI, you poor thing Sad. Can you get a sports massage when you would normally be at the gym? Also sitting in the sauna and doing some slow stretches might help release it a bit?

No exercise here today but off to circuits tomorrow Smile

Fjorn Shock. Can you imagine what Jillian would have to say about a pork pie??????? ShockGrin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 22/11/2011 21:49

In fact it was a Fight Pie - pork pie with a layer of sage & onion stuffing and a layer of apple sauce on top Even Jillian couldn't resist that lardy goodness Grin

loti what a bummer Sad so are you just resting until it improves?

sazz enjoy your circuits tomorrow.

I wasn't going to be arsed but managed to do the shred tonight so have clocked up 3x Exersazzes so far. There is going to be quite a lot of cake flying around on Thursday/Friday and DD has requested chip shop fish & chips for her birthday tea on Thursday. Might have to weigh in a day early...

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 23/11/2011 10:54

All the best loti - hope he can work miracles Smile

1k run, 1hr circuits, 12 mins powerplate.

aStarInStrangeways · 23/11/2011 12:59

Good healing loti :)

Well done on exersazzing Sazz and Fjorg :) You are very motivational. I have successfully dodged biscuits at both toddler groups this week, but no exercise yet.
