Even ong everyone. Am v cross, was lurking on the old thread last night hoping to be last one on, and in the space of one day you lot have finished the old thread and on page 2 of the new one ! Well done Iheart

Just back from WI. Lost 1 lb and am now proud owner of a 10% keyring.... hurrah hurrah hurrah! That is another milestone ticked off.

Sorry havent had time to catch up properly, might come back later to see what everyone has been up to.

hmc · 12/04/2011 20:33

Well done on the 1lb and 10% Wizz

Littlefish · 12/04/2011 20:36

Helllooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Found you.

Well, just back from weighing in and I've lost another 1.5lbs Grin. That's 3stone 3lbs altogether. 2 more weigh-ins until my concert. I would absolutely love to lose 2lbs each week to get me to 3 and a half stone loss, but that might be a bit ambitious.

Whatever my weight loss over the next 2 weeks, I'm just so, so, so, so happy that I started the programme last October. I'm feeling so much more confident generally. Having said that, I think I might be even more nervous about people watching me sing, than I would have been when I was fatter. Does that make any sense at all? I feel more noticable, rather than someone invisible. I suppose I'll get used to that feeling in time, and hope that I'll start to enjoy it.

Willabywallaby · 12/04/2011 20:38

Hello everyone.

Welcome new people!

collision I'm with hmc in the feeling motivated camp, give yourself a shake and come and join us! It definitely works better for me than the old system, and I am feeling great about myself at the moment! Like noway says, I love knowing that the weeklies are there if I need them, but have only used a few in total - I find 29 points are enough for me most days. I've really changed my eating habits since starting in Jan, bread products are way down my list of things to eat (instead of at the top) except for my morning crumpets and philadelphia. I have loads more fruit and salad, and definitely more energy. I have lost 30lbs as of two weeks ago - WI tomorrow after a week of holiday and I'm hoping for a reasonable loss. my home scales have me at less than I have weighed for about 5 years, so am on a diet high at the moment!

So, we had DD2s naming on Sunday, which was lovely, and I was very pleased with my restraint - did i mention the massive chocolate cake that I didn't eat any of, despite bringing half of it home at the end? Grin was in my house for 2.5 days and I ate none - go me! I mentioned my Step-MIL was bonkers on the other thread, so this was first time we'd seen her since end of Jan - about 2 stone ago - she started well, complimented me on my weight loss, and then said "are you going to be anorexic now? or bulimic?" WTF? I said "no, i wasn't planning on it" and walked away, but what an odd thing to ask! She isn't the slimmest herself though, so perhaps she's jealous!

Congrats on the keyring wizzler I am strangely attached to mine now!

littlefish, that's lovely to read, so glad that you are appy with your decision!

blondes draw a line, there are still 3 days til your weigh in so rein it in. even if you feel like the week might show a gain or a STS, if you have a couple of good days now it will limit the pain.

upthehill how can you not like Total 0%? it's lovely! have you tried having it with a meringue and berries? 2 PP and feels decadent. Also M&S COU chocolate mousse are AMAZING for 2 PP, but if you're avoiding artificial sweetners might not work for you.

IHeartIona · 12/04/2011 21:53

Hi all
[nonchalant whistling face] Wink
thought I'd better do a big namecheck post to make up for my first ever last post on a full thread!!
NoWay hope you feel better soon, sinusitis and now tonsillitis, poor you. I only had a cold and felt wiped out for a few days. Don't worry about writing off this week, you need your strength for all the meal planning we have to do for WW pp!
loublou well done on 1lb off and near to goal!
androbbob how was your Zumba class?
Piffle the kofta meatballs sound great. how many pp do you work it out as? Hope your dog gets better soon.
LittleFriend well done on 3lb loss! Malteaster bunny excellent treat. have you seen those huge ones though? yummmm but so bad.
our leader says she will point up lots of eggs for us, so I'll share with you all if I get to meeting this week.
welcome SueSylvester, MrsKwazii and collision
Wynken - swim training sounds good! I must try to go to the pool next to work one lunchtime to get back to swimming. (did a 50km in a month a few yrs ago and could do 80 lengths in a long session. could prob do about 20 now!!)
Lola well done on 3lb loss!
Blondes you have to have a nice treat now and again, I love carrot cake too. (and banana muffins, but keep them frozen so I don't eat all of them!)
Just seen your pic though - that cake was HUUUGGE!
will upload a pic for you tomorrow (of the chicken pox) as proof!!
hmc impressed that you took EOG out with you! how many pp in a McD milkshake then? I had a 3pp chicken salad last time I went to McD but it wasn't very filling as you can imagine at 3pp.
upthehill good tips there. there were some nice potato salad recipes in a recent My week or WW mag I think too, for more uses for new pots!
wizzler well done on 1lb off and 10% keyring!
littlefish well done on 1.5 lb off, 3st 3 is brilliant! is that all since Oct? I've lost 22lb since end Aug. I know what you mean about feeling noticeable, not invisible. get used to it, you deserve the attention! Smile

I'm feeling a lot better today, thanks for the wishes, though now, as I mentioned, dd seems to have chicken pox - spots on neck/hairline, chest and back, couple on leg. I'm hoping she gets it mildly. Looks like DH can't get any time off work as he is the only one there in his dept (other on hol) so not quite sure what to say to my work......
Mum brought us round some choc cornflake bits today - could have done without those really! Haven't tracked last couple of days, not much hope for WI on Thuirs as I can't get out even for walks now. next week will be my week!

androbbob · 12/04/2011 21:59

blondes that 'slice' of cake (previous thread) was huge - you shared it equally then?! How Many PP for that - a days worth I reckon then!

noway - not feeling any better - that is rubbish. Tis nearly the weekend.

Motivation on the wane here - due to kids being off and throwing me off track. Back to work on Thurs and them back to school Mon, so will get some semblance of normallity back!

Sun out here again today but wind making it chilly. Been to ZUmba tonight - not sure the teacher is for me as I have done one class before and it was better but too busy. Back next week to see, but better than sitting at home watching tv!

Lunch with Mad Woman and FIL tomorrow - not looking forward to that - weill have a two hour max. window for their drivel!

Littlefish · 12/04/2011 22:11

IHeartIona - yes, I've lost it all since last week in Sept/1st week in Oct. I've been pretty consistent about losing weight almost every week, even if only half a pound. I've had one week where I stayed the same, and 2 weeks when I put on half a pound, but have lost every week apart from that. I've still got 5 stone to lose though, so there's a long road ahead of me. I can't wait until I've lost 4 stone so that I can say I'm half way there. Smile How much do you still have to lose?

IHeartIona · 12/04/2011 22:20

wow that's great Littlefish! excellent to have consistent results, you must be really sticking to it. not far till half way there! Smile
I've got 6lb to my goal I think but might try to go a bit lower, I do no exercise at all Blush and am still all wobbly, so really want to get toned now. got to see doc first as (TMI alert) I seem to have developed pelvic floor issues!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/04/2011 22:24

shoulders having a bad week and at an easter egg party Tom so means I will eat choc Blush

Iona I want to see PP aka pox pics Grin I'm also Envy your dc has the pox - have tried to get it for last 5yrs

androb I hate to think and yes I did share with my 3dc and my friend had the last mouthful

HeyH0 · 12/04/2011 22:34

UpTheHill A tiny amount of agave nectar makes Total a lot more palatable, it's fructose so a little goes a very long way; I use less than a quarter of a teaspoon in 150g.

Littlefish, Wizzler (& anyone else I've missed Blush ), congrats on your losess.

I'm cursing my selective memory tonight. Vnmum mentioned kettlenetics the other day, so I decided to pop along to the kettlebell class I used to attend... I may be incapable of moving from the sofa tomorrow. Whoops.

LolaLadybird · 12/04/2011 22:59

Lots of posting activity tonight, can't keep up!

Just wanted to say thanks for the tips Uphill - I'm also pretty new to this and will be coming back to your post for future reference! Re tasty yogurt - I find the low-fat greek ones (have tried Tesco and Sainsbury's own brands) are much nicer than the Total one, slightly more points but definitely more taste. As for tasty treats - I have become a fan of the Curly Wurly of late - someone else recommended it (either on this thread or another), only 3 pp and quite satisfying as it's so chewy!

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 13/04/2011 07:14

Marking place on new thread.

CLB1 · 13/04/2011 07:44

Pulling up a chair and getting confortable for the long hall :)

Haven't been on in a few days, soo many posts not enough time to catch up :(

Well done to all the losers and know how you feel blondes and noway I had an extremely bad week last week, how much can I eat in a week? Couldn't make my WI as DS was so full of cold, back to pp on Monday and just going to eat my dailies and leave my weeklies alone for this week to kick start my diet again.

Hi to all the newbies x

ClaireDeLoon · 13/04/2011 08:12

Well done wizzler and littlefish and welcome new people :o

Low fat yoghurts I get the big tubs if Rachels organic 3 points for quarter if a tub and very nice esp the raspberry.

DP went to see diabetic doctor yesterday, second appointment 4 months on from diagnosis and he's lost 10% so got a pat on the head for that but his blood pressure was 180/something first time she checked and down to 150/something second time so she's put him on blood pressure tablets but he looked at the list of side effects and decided not to take them. I hardly use salt/processed food as it is so will struggle to cut out anymore. Ho hum.

LittleFriendSusan · 13/04/2011 11:25

Morning all. Sorry can't remember who said what on last thread but well done to all who lost :)

HeyHo there was an article in our local paper yesterday about kettlebells or whatever you call them, looks interesting!

NWNH hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Blondes that's a cake and a half Grin - wouldn't like to guess the PP but sure it was worth it!

Upthehill I like total 0% with a little honey. I prefer it to the supermarket ones as it's much thicker... though the Lidl big pots are quite nice. You used to be able to get Total 2% which was bloody lovely, but have only seen the 0% and full fat recently. I am also very partial to Rachels' low fat Rhubarb yogurt, and also the Raspberry, which I think you can only get in Morrisons at the moment. 3PP for 1/3 tub, which is loads. No artificial sweeteners. I don't like the WW yoghurts as all I can taste in them is sweetener, bleurgh.

In other news... I bought some size 12 trousers for work the other day, yay! And pulled out some summer stuff from a couple of years ago and can fit into lots of it again :). Have had loads of comments on weight loss these last few weeks so am feeling very pleased with myself. I reckon I have about another stone to go to be where I want - would be mid-upper end of healthy BMI range which I think is about right for me as am very big boned (hands like shovels Grin).

Hayfever has come out with a vengeance these last couple of days, I can't stop sniffing and feel very fuzzy... any magical remedies anyone would like to share?

Good luck to all WI today and will check back in a while!

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 13/04/2011 13:19

Drum roll please....

7lb off since last weigh in (2 weeks ago) got my 5th silver 7 and down another stone bracket into the 10s for the first time in 5 years. Hooray!

ClaireDeLoon · 13/04/2011 13:25

Wow Shoulders that is fantastic, congrats and well done!

IHeartIona · 13/04/2011 13:34

Well done Shoulders!

NoWayNoHow · 13/04/2011 14:10

shoulders congrats on the 7lbs - all that staying away from the chocolate cake was totally worth it!

IHeart sorry to hear about your DD and potential chicken pox

androbob it's always so much harder when the kids are around

heyho hope you have managed to make it off the sofa after kettlebells!

claire glad your DP is making progress

littlefriend yay for the size 12's! Re: hayfever, the only thing that works for me is combining a nasal spray with Piriton.

Didn't think it possible, but am even worse today. In excruciating pain through my whole body and all my nerve ends, even the hardcore painkillers are taking twice as long to work. Thankfully DS can do full days at nursery for the rest of the week (although that's an extra £100 we don't have!), and then mum and dad can look after him on Sat (DH not even home until Sunday cos of work - picked a bad week to be sick!).

On the plus side, I have no appetite so have only had some quavers and a muller vitality to eat today. That should go some way towards undoing the damage of the mad food weekend!

LittleFriendSusan · 13/04/2011 14:13

Wow, shoulders that's great, well done you! Looks like your sneaky weigh-in last week wasn't far off the mark after all!

How much more are you looking to lose - are you getting close to goal now?

HeyH0 · 13/04/2011 14:28

Well done Shoulders. :)

Claire Kettlebells are brilliant for all over strength and toning. Once you know the moves & are confident enough to speed up the routine and/or increase the weight of the ball it's possible to really push yourself.

LittleFriendSusan · 13/04/2011 14:35

NWNH - x-posted. Sorry you're still feeling crap... but get some fruit & veg down you woman or you'll never get better. Quavers & yogurt indeed [wags finger]

Ouch at having to fork out for nursery too... am so glad we don't have that cost any more.

I have managed to eat 22 PP already today:

Breakfast: Wholemeal hot x bun & grapefruit segments for breakfast, then was still hungry so had crumpet with jam - total 9PP

Banana around 11.

Lunch: Warburtons Sandwich thins + ham + mozzarella + basil + large mixed salad. Packet walkers S&V Crinkles. Activia Yogurt. 13PP

Hadn't pointed up the sandwich thins from packet so have tried to work it out from NV on website - how confusing?? I think when they say 1 sandwich thin they must mean 2 pieces, so 1 top & 1 bottom? Packet says contains 6 and I think there are 12 slices in there? Any ideas? Not got scales to hand to check either... it matters as need to know if I've got 7PP for dinner tonight (feasible) or 4PP (tricky!)
