All right, when you've un-cringed from the above -

I'm about to (re-)embark on Slimming World and since I have neither the time nor the funds to go to classes could really do with a coupla pals for those delicious weekly morning weigh-ins. Is anyone interested? I guess it would be ideal if we were all SWing, but it ain't essential. It's the praise or blame I need, alongside willing recipients of lengthy descriptions of the size of my arse Grin.

Few stats (and needless to say we needn't go in for actual weights here)

I lost 3.5 stone a couple of years ago on SW, and have gained about 20lb of that. I KNOW! Silly bint.

As a first step I want to lose 10lb because this will take me into the 'light enough for IVF' category (I have 6 months left before referral for fertility treatment and if not pregnant by then would like to arrive in the pink of health).

After that I would like to lose another 10lb and say 'hello stranger!' to my sad neglected wardrobe of vintage frocks.

Finally, if you are interesting in hanging out, would you mind awfully looking in the mirror and checking that you actually are properly overweight?! Because nothing would depress me more than celebrating getting into a size 16 dress, when everyone else on the thread was lamenting finding their size 10 skinnies a little snug Hmm

Right. I'll now sit back and await rejection. Alpine my luvva, if you're reading this do join!

Funnily enough bloof, when I worked out my stones/lbs today I realised that I'm only 8lbs over what I used to consider my "fighting" (or fucking) weight. The weight I felt the most confident at and really sexy knowing I could get "any" man at that weight. Then I went and lost a load of fucking weight and the goalposts have been moved. Angry Not that I want to fuck randoms.

haha yes, at 13 10 women were vile to me too - I wore lots of red too! Grin

stinkypinky · 12/04/2011 14:02

Have amended target to 13 10 as it sounds like fun Grin

BlooferLady · 12/04/2011 14:05

Pony I know what you mean by goalposts scuttling about the place: when I was 18.7 I would have DREAMED of being my current weight. And now at my current weight I feel fatter than I did at 18.7 because now I know what the famous 13.10 red-frock benchmark feels like Confused !

Oh Stinky, I feel like a schoolteacher with Just William sitting in the back row wreaking havoc Grin

A little late but I think I should join you. I had my daughter over 8 months ago but I'm still only able to get in my maternity jeans and the very few bits and pieces I've been forced to buy since going back to work. I was a large size 14 before pregnancy but I seem to be an 18 now, 20 in some shapes of clothes.

It is my brothers wedding in 2 weeks time so last weekend I went out with DH/ DD to try to find something to wear. I tried on a couple of dresses (in XL) and one of them was a bit tight looking and the little French assistant lady said "Oh no, I will go and get the next size" and came back with an L... Shite. Time to face facts; less food-to-cakehole...

I'm currently 82.3 kg and would target 70kg.

BlooferLady · 12/04/2011 15:19

Hello there C4ro, good to see you! God damn those little assistants with their bottoms that would fit in teacups Grin. I shall duly add you to the list. Many congratulations on your daughter :)

Weigh in day is today, so just in time C4ro Welcome, grab a reinforced pew Smile

MadameBoo · 12/04/2011 15:28

I am back from my riding assessment. I am still shaking. Haven't been since before I got pregnant with miniboo and had a fall (got concussed, wasn't nice). Went twice after that before becoming updiffed and thought I'd got my confidence back. I was like a wobbly jelly! Horse felt huge. Managed rising trot but was too scared to canter. My friend cantered but they said we need a couple of lessons before we go out on a hack, which we are both happy with. I can't afford it, but she is paying for me as it's a birthday present. I am very blessed to have such a generous mate. I really enjoyed it though and can't wait to have a bash at cantering in a few weeks.

I am going to share my weight because I am inspired to be brave.I've weighed myself on my scales, they say 12 10 but this is a lie. I'm prob more like 13 something but still haven't made it to Boots so that will have to do. Please to remember my diddy height and that my ideal weight range is 6st 10 ( I think that I'd look bloody awful) to 8st 9 (which seems like a million squillion miles away). Anyway I'm going for -14 ibs then will set a new target.

Started properly today, still need to write things down but I know I'm on track.

I've been thinking about how we replace the inane SW clapping and stickers on this fred. I'm going to start with some nekkid cartwheels to celebrate Stinky's 4ibs.

I am more inspired by this funny fred than I have ever been at SW already, no Irene's, queues or raffles anywhere in sight. :o

stinkypinky · 12/04/2011 15:36

I am touched boo, thank you Blush

MadameBoo · 12/04/2011 15:37

Stinky It was a massive one. I've asked for a smaller one next time :o

stinkypinky · 12/04/2011 15:38

Oh no, stick with the big one - so long as it knows how to ride, that is Grin

stinkypinky · 12/04/2011 15:39

Be ridden, rather. So rude, and me with a sick infant in my arms - disgraceful!

BlooferLady · 12/04/2011 15:42

yo yo Boo. I would join you in the nekkid cartwheeling were it not for the fact my norks would slap me in the face, deafening all with the clap of flesh upon flesh and delivering 2 sensational black eyes.

hoopla for posting weight. -14lb it is! Only one more to go and it's lists ahoy.

hello c4ro - I have just eaten 2 stroopwaffels. :(

MadameBoo · 12/04/2011 15:46

Virtual nekkid cartwheeling is much easier on the buzzwams darling Bloof :o

Stinky He was a bit of a stubborn boy. I want a biddable ride next time.

BlooferLady · 12/04/2011 15:48

But Alpine luvva, I thought there was GENERAL MEDICAL AGREEMENT upthread that a bit of a relaxation of the old regime was to be encouraged on weigh-in day, for purposes of celebration, restoration, sanity and metabolism? I'm only saying that half-jokingly. When I lost that hugemungolious amount 2 years ago I had curries and drink binges and all sorts on weigh in day and it didn't halt a 2-3lb a week rate, and kept me from feeling mizz....

OP posts:
MadameBoo · 12/04/2011 15:49

:o

Well, if we are going to celebrate losses I think some sort of punishment should be dished out for naughtiness Wink

MadameBoo · 12/04/2011 15:51

Oh and yes I totally agree - after weigh day a treat should be positively encouraged. Not for me today though, as I have only just started. Bumholes.

Ermm... "Cake?"

I have my temptation already sitting here in front of me. I haz 100g bag of mini-eggs... If there are any left by Friday night I will deserve a giant shiny medal.

MadameBoo · 12/04/2011 16:16
AlpinePony · 12/04/2011 16:45

100g? Puff I could inhale that much!

BlooferLady · 12/04/2011 18:12

But it's WEIGH IN DAY! 100g mini eggs is fine. I will NOT be being this benevolent tomorrow but will be saying things like "distract yourself from the hunger by giving yourself a manicure/having a scented bath/a wank" so make the most of it .

Where's Colditz and her final weigh-in? I WANTS TO DO THE LIST

My husband has just bought a book on Eric Gill. He shagged his own dog you know. True story. Can't argue with his penmanship, though. Penmanship!
