blondes, I'm finding it harder and harder as I get close to goal (only 3lbs away, and that's the revised 10% from a much lower starting weight from beginning of year).

How far are you from goal?

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/04/2011 20:28

tech 3 lbs, but trousers are still bloody tight so may try and lose another 7 lbs after that, so 10 in all

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/04/2011 20:29

clothes are silly, im wearing size 12 jeans today that are falling down my waist and off my bum, and look baggy - and im def NOT a 10 lol

yet my other size 12 i love and my aim to get into are snug around the thighs, can just about to do the button and zip up but cant breathe/sit/fart in them or will rip Grin

That's amazing, I'd love to have a good week like that!
Stats??? lol
I'm 30pp today and earned 7 activity pp so feeling virtuous

Furball · 05/04/2011 21:12

littlefish - Grin - you clever girly you - well done. Can't wait to see you.

Littlefish · 05/04/2011 21:30

I stongly suspect I've just put most of it back on again with my traditional Tuesday night feast! Grin.

Piffle - I ate almost all of my daily points, and about 15 of my weekly points. I put on half a pound last week after a big weekend away, so have tried hard this week to stay within or just below my points.

Furball - how do you manage to pop up at just the right moment Smile. I had an e-mail conversation with Norbert tonight - she's going to send out an e-mail with some suggested dates on for a meet up in May.

wizzler · 05/04/2011 21:34

Littlefish.. that is fantastic news .. well done you .. I think your halo must be almost as shiney as Blondes!

Furball · 05/04/2011 21:39

littlefish - I stalk you!

ps replied about 1/2 hour ago to 'the' email Smile

androbbob · 05/04/2011 22:11

Wow littlefish that is great! Spread that motivation lady - its good to share! You must be so proud of yourself it is such an acheivement. Not too long until you get to the next milestone of 50lbs. Grin

NoWayNoHow · 05/04/2011 22:19

littlefish that is such an incredible loss! Well done!!

blondes I know what you mean about clothes... I'm a 10 in some things and a 12 in others, but there's just no consistency! YOu know what would be really nice? If a size was the same no matter what shop you went to. In fact, never mind across the shops, how about sizes being the same IN THE SAME shops! Tried on a 12 dress in H&M that literally actually fell off, and then another that I couldn't zip up!

Eralc · 06/04/2011 03:56

Hiya,

Can I join in too - went to my first ever meeting yesterday (I have a huge amount of weight to lose), and am feeling a bit overwhlemed by it all. Am breastfeeding, and so I'm a bit nervous about mucking up my supply, and am also in a bit of a sleep deprived haze, and so I'm finding it hard to get my head around how I'm going to even get started. And there are so many different things to buy and I don't want to waste money, but equally I want to give myself the best chance at losing this weight.

Does working out points etc get easier as you go along? Am really nervous about eating anything at the moment, because I just feel clueless!

Willabywallaby · 06/04/2011 07:21

Well done to all you losers Grin. Some of you are truly inspirational.

Weigh in day for me today but not not really been tracking, hopefully it won't e a gain....

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 06/04/2011 07:57

Welcome Eraic. it does get easier as you know what the points are of things you eat regularly after a bit. I've got the WW app on my phone and I use this plus a normal pair of scales, I don't need anything else. Appreciate that might not help, depending on your phone.

Littlefish please come and sit next to me I want your losing lots vibes to rub off on me, a huge well done!

Good luck to today's weighers. I've just bought 2 x 90 min sessions for one of those virtual gastric bands from Groupon. Probably a waste of money but I do respond well to hypnotherapy and had briefly pondered doing this but not at full price so thought it was worth a go. Will still follow WW, just thought this might help a little with willpower which occasionally slips as have been doing this since last July and reckon it will take me to Christmas.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/04/2011 08:44

noway it's very annoying and if only shops did/would do that

willa good luck with wi

ercic welcome :)

Still got poorly babs today so lots more tlc needed - off to indoor soft play centre with older one ad her friend

I will avoid the bacon buttys that the other mums/nannies will have

Welcome eralc! I would have a look at the little handbook they gave you at your first meeting - it's got some really good, pointed ideas for basic breakfast, lunch and dinner foods. Try making some meal plans using that.

Good lukc with WI willaby!

wynken if you respond well to hypnotherapy then there's no reason why that wouldn' help you - anything that makes it easier I would go for!

blondes sorry to hear about the LO. Enjoy the play centre.

Out for dinner tonight to a pub - they really don't have a whole heap of healthy options except salads, and I have an ethical issue with going out and eating salad, and is it's ethically poncey and a waste of money (don't know why I feel like this, just obect to paying someone £8 for some lettuce).

I'm thinking about getting 2 starters (one grilled calamari, one aubergine and tomato tower with minted yogurt and pesto), but the other part of me just wants their burger with mozzarella centre Blush. It doesn't come with chips unless you order them separately, so anyone care to hazard a guess at what kind of pp would that be?

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/04/2011 09:32

noway kwym about going out and paying for salad, would guess a burger with cheese and chips would be least 28+

OP posts:
Littlefish · 06/04/2011 09:39

Wyken - You are doing incredibly well! I can't wait to get to the 50lb milestone like you have! Your idea about getting two starters is a really good one. You know it will be delicious, and it will be a really good food choice. However seductive the burger with mozzarella centre seems, try and imagine how you will feel tomorrow morning when you think about having eaten each one of the two different options.

Welcome eraic - I didn't buy anything to start with. The one thing I have found invaluable is to use monthly pass, and therefore, have access to all the stuff online. I track daily online - WW is always open on my home laptop and tracking carefully really keeps me sane. Without it, I honestly wouldn't know how many points I've eaten. When I started WW in October, I needed to lose 8.5 stone. I've lost 3 stone so far, so am nearly half way thereGrin. Just take it one day and one pound at a time.

NoWayNoHow · 06/04/2011 09:43

blondes what do you reckon it would be without? Doesn't come with chips, just side salad... Maybe 21? Also boozing tonight (even though it'll just be spirit and diet mixer) so maybe i should just stick with the two starters idea.

Knowing my luck, i'll get there and the menu will be completely different frmo the online one!

Littlefish · 06/04/2011 10:52

OOOPs I got confused there! Sorry Wyken & Noway.

NoWay- this part of my message was for you: Your idea about getting two starters is a really good one. You know it will be delicious, and it will be a really good food choice. However seductive the burger with mozzarella centre seems, try and imagine how you will feel tomorrow morning when you think about having eaten each one of the two different options (ie 2 x starters, or cheeseburger).

LittleFriendSusan · 06/04/2011 11:23

Oh FFS - just typed long post and somehow managed to click on ovulation calculator and lost it all. Bollocks. Need to do some work now too so will try again shortly.

CLB1 · 06/04/2011 11:28

Morning all,
I need help :( today has not started in a good way at all. I think I have already eaten my daily allowance in cookies and an easter egg. My will power seems to have left me for the day.
I feel awfully sick now, why do I do it :(

Welcome Eraic joined the online at the meeting and then got the Iphone app too. tracking online I find so much easier, it has a list of things you can seach and a calculater for what it doesnt have.

Littlefish · 06/04/2011 11:57

CLB1 - you will be fine!

If you start to feel panicky, slowly sip a glass of water until the feeling subsides. I completely understand how you are feeling, and have done it more times than I care to think about.

Have you got any veg soup in the freezer, or can you make a quick pan full? Have you got any weekly points left? If you have even 10 left, then you've got plenty there to use for the rest of the day.

Lunch - veg soup and a piece of bread - 2 pro points
Dinner - chicken breast and veg - 5 pro points (I think).

Take a deep breath and stop beating yourself up. What's done is done. You can't change it, but you can change how you react to it.
I received such enormous help and support on this thread last time I did it. It helped me realise that what was scaring me was the fact that I felt out of control, and worried that it was the start of sliding back again. YOU can make the decision that it is just a blip and move on.

JoJoBaldwin · 06/04/2011 12:47

Good advice there "Littlefish* and jolly well done on your 3 stone!

Managed to get through Monday and tuesday with no disasters, and only had 12 points today so far. Still have a bit of ground to make up for the terribly alcoholic weekend just gone but feeling confident of making it through to friday without silliness happening. Been rubbish on the exercise front though getting a lot of housework done. Hopefully weather will be good tomorrow and i'll get a long walk in before friday WI!
