well done to all the losers this week. Noway you look great in your photos.
I mistakenly got lazy last night and couldn't be arsed to cook so ended up with a domino's. Had half a large pizza [embarrassed], but it was nice. I managed to burn the leftovers today so that meant i had to have salad for lunch rather than pizza so was a blessing in disguise, but i'm not holding out much hope for WI on thurs. I felt so bloated after the pizza.

I am actually finding it hard to decide on healthy WW friendly evening meals that everyone will eat. we seem to be just eating the same things and the kids turn their noses up at anything new like stirfry etc, where if they would eat it i could have lots of meat and stirfry veg etc. I don't really want to cook seperately but might not have a choice as i also don't like cooking stuff for them to not eat it.

Anyway, enough of my moan. Good luck to anyone weighing in tomorrow

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 29/03/2011 21:28

Well, I don't be on no weekly points this week blondes! Was out for dinner last night for DH's birthday, delicious meal, impossible to track but tried to go for lowest pp options - had smoked salmon starter, poached chicken with polenta and a parmesan and ruffled sauce and then a caramel parfait with honey ice cream and salted caramel. Clearly the dessert was NOT a low pp option, but I did leave a couple of spoonfuls! On a plus note I was designated driver so on sparkling water, and I resisted having lots of bread and petit fours! I had saved 18 daily points, and I am also supposed to have another 14 points for bf, so think i'll be inside my weeklies, and it was yum! The truth will be shown in WI tomorrow morning...

Piffle · 29/03/2011 21:31

I tend to cook the kids stuff earlier as DH is home after 7...
We eat with ds1 (17) after the 2 younger ones are in bed ( 8 and 4)
We all eat together 2-3 x a week
I tend to cook things they love like wraps, roast chicken, pork fillet, chicken curries etc

I know why White fish is low PP
Cos it's not filling!
Am still hungry!
Not sure if I'll indulge though, nearly bed time

IHeartIona · 29/03/2011 21:42

just a quick drop by to have a moan (oh and say well done to all this week's losers!)
damn Costa Coffee and their raspberry linzer biscuits - we have a shiny new Costa that's opened up in our town (not sure they've done their market research properly as I don't think they will get many customers really) which is a bit of a novelty not to have to go further afield. popped in for a skinny latte (2pp only for a small one) and dd wanted something to eat. display heaving with huge cookies, muffins etc so I get her a biscuit which is large but quite flat, thinking she'll like it. she licks off the jam from the middle then doesn't want anymore. I eat some all of it for her. get home, check online, they're 8 pp!
had to have a 6pp dinner (150g brown rice plus 0 pp veg stew/sauce thingy) to make up for it....

NoWayNoHow - you look fab, well done on losing 2 stone.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/03/2011 22:10

Hello - busy old day here and just back from the gym - training on treadmill for my 5k race - was tough tonight as was 'hung over' from yesterday - I had a migrane and went to bed at 9pm.

Yesterday was a lovely sunny day - kids to school, did my class and then got home, took bike out and cycled up to school to get DS from nursery - it was 2.5 miles (I thought it was only about 1.5 miles) and took 20 minutes. We came back along the canal which was lovely! Then we did the garden - so all in all an active day. Salad for lunch and stiry fry for tea - yum!

Had some Morrisons Beef broth soup for lunch today - worked out at less than 5PP - filling and yummy!

Well done on the silver sevens whizzler and NoWay - you look fab! I hope to have such a good difference when I finally get there!

Bed now as knackered!

NoWayNoHow · 29/03/2011 22:57

Ah, blondes I get it - I thought it was some fancy acronym! Although I PROMISE you it wasn't me who got it wrong - I wrote it down, double checked it and repeated it back to the woman I spoke to about 3 times! Sorry you have to split yourself in half, though - hopefully you'll find a solution!

Thanks all for being so nice about my pics. It was actually quite hard to find some "before" photos, as I really used to avoid having my photo taken. I think that as long as I could look in the mirror and kid myself, then I was able to carry on the way I was, but when confronted with irrefutable evidence like pictures, it was harder to hide from the truth that I was just getting bigger and bigger and bigger...

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/03/2011 00:11

You rang someone for Ickle me Noway? Shock

That's so sweet

'blondes dabs eyes'

Noway what a difference in your pictures, you look a lot younger now, very inspirational.

One day left to WI and the scales aren't moving for me. Have eaten 26 of weeklies, 6 hours of digging and weeding at allotment , 8 hours of painting, 62 lengths of pool and a 45min walk. After last week's 0.5lb gain (despite sticking to it), I was hoping for a good loss which doesn't seem to be happening. I guess maybe be tomorrow I will have list but am not hopeful.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/03/2011 07:31

OP posts:
WynkenBlynkenandNod · 30/03/2011 07:41

Don't think I have Blondes, Wii yesterday said I've gained a pound. Will see tomorrow morning but think I might have hit a plateau.

JoJoBaldwin · 30/03/2011 07:51

Well done wizzler!

Had lots of exercise on orchards and woodland walk with the kids. Pint of beer in sunny riverside beer garden though - but no regrets cos it was lovely Wink
Had about 6 weeklies yesterday.

Going to be staying in today to get on top of housework so will have a go at Davina fit. 3 major things coming up at the weekend - our 19 year wedding anniversary on friday, meeting a friend I haven't seen for 10 years on saturday for piss-up and comedy gig, and mother's day on sunday. So mon-fri next week will all be damage limitation as usual!

NoWayNoHow · 30/03/2011 08:55

blondes you are now beholden to me for all time Smile

wynken I'm sure the results tomorrow will reflect how good you've been, but just before WI why don't you take your measurements because you sound like you've done loads of exercise...

JoJo, i'm with you on damage limitation for the weekend - we have obligatory gathering of NoWay's nutjob family tea on Sunday for both Mother's Day and Aunt's b-day, and Aunt and Gran always bring 4-5 cakes EACH (even though they're only going to be 8 people there Confused). Will need all 49 weeklies for that!

Good luck for all WI's today!

CLB1 · 30/03/2011 09:32

Morning ladies,
Good luck to all the WI coming up.
I know what you mean blondes I was so upset last Sunday at STS, if the same happens this week I'll lose faith :(
Congrats noway on your wedding anniversary. Hope the weekend doesn't work out to bad for you.

So I've been sticking to my 35dailys and not using any weeklies and doing okay. Had fanjita's last night mmmmmm with WW cheese, sour cream and guacamole, was loverly. Tonight is fake Nando's night. Took my measurements the other day and lost 5cm around my stomach. So even thou STS, am please about cm loss.

Wishing everybody a good pp day Grin

CLB1 · 30/03/2011 09:34

Sorry jojo I meant your anniversary and weekend x

IHeartIona · 30/03/2011 09:50

JoJo - congrats on your 19th wedding anniversary
NoWay - 4-5 cakes each! think your 49 will be gone in a flash Grin

CLB1 · 30/03/2011 10:13

Iheart I roast a chicken with mango marinade and have garlic bread, chips and garlic Nando's sauce. Mmmmmmm. The only thing I miss is the choc-a-lot cake :( oh well I have jelly with summer fruits, ww double cream and a merange nest thingy to please my sweet tooth :)

Piffle · 30/03/2011 10:28

Well the pooch is weighed and therefore I am
The news is GOOD! Huzzah!
I am over 1 lb lighter than last Fridays weigh in already this week

So now I have lost over 10lbs since starting 4 weeks ago!
I am almost half way there!

Today have walked 4PP activity before brekkie, just had brekkie now

All bran, banana and semi skim 4PP

Lunch will be...

scrambled eggs and toast with mushrooms and grilled tomato 8pp

dinner
Steak and Guinness casserole from WW recipe 5pp, new potatoes 2 pp and veg...

This leaves me oodles of snack points! Still 10 left! plus the exercise PP
I might have some bikkies with my cuppa and maybe research a low PP but scrummy pudding

Am feeling in control and virtuous

Just seen your pics NWNH what a difference, bloody well done chook

Claireedee · 30/03/2011 10:38

Can I join you, please? I'm a serial lurker in these parts, but I've just signed up for WW online, and think I may need a little support!

NoWayNoHow · 30/03/2011 10:50

CLB well done on the cms lost - that's a fantastic result!

piffle good pooch WI - bodes well for the real thing on Friday!

Have an impromptu lunch with mom now, so will have to be smart about what I eat. It's normally at Starbucks or Costa, so if Starbucks I have have the chicken and roast tomato panini (9pp), although NO idea what I'd have at Costa. Time to consult eating out guide!

NoWayNoHow · 30/03/2011 10:50

x-post clairee - welcome welcome!

marmaladetwatkins · 30/03/2011 10:59

Hello everyone, I was on the first pro-points thread (as bupcakesandcunting :)) and haven't been back much since Blush

I've totally lost my motivation with this new plan. I hate it and am permanently hungry. I felt I was doing so well on the original plan (I lost almost 3 stone on it) and now I feel cast adrift. Aggggh. I'm guessing from the title of this thread that I'm not the only one?

Am seriously thinking of defecting to the dark side (Slimming World). Help meeeeeeeeeeeee

NoWayNoHow · 30/03/2011 11:08

marmalade Sad that you're so frustrated... Can you give an example of what a typical day looks like for you, in terms of food? If you're hungry, maybe we know some good recipes/tricks to help your pp stretch as far as possible?

How long have you been doing the new? How much have you lost so far on it?

MissRead · 30/03/2011 11:12

Could I join this thread please, I really need some support. I've been doing WW (for about the 4th time, never yet made it to goal) since last summer and have lost about 2 1/2 stone so far which I'm really pleased with. BUT I have at least the same again to go and I'm losing heart a bit - I'm sick of tracking, sick of trying to come up with interesting meals that fit in with the rest of the family, my lifestyle and my tight budget and most of all, sick of thinking about food! I hate having to write everything down or trying to work out how many points are in every mouthful I take but if I try to do it by just eating sensibly with the odd treat I fail completely and end up putting on which is really depressing.

I just feel as though I will never be able to eat 'normally' again, what's normal to me is clearly much more food than I need so if I want to become and remain thin I am going to have to follow a WW diet for the rest of my life :(

Any tips or advice before I fall off the wagon altogether and undo all my hard work so far?

marmaladetwatkins · 30/03/2011 11:15

Okie dokie....

I always start the day with good intentions so I usually have 30g porridge with quarter pt of skimmed milk, then fruit = 4 pp.

Around 11 I have a yoghurt = 2pp

Lunch can be anything like soup, salad, noodles/veg, I try not to go over 7 pp for lunch as I prefer a, ahem, substantial evening meal.

Then dinner can be anything like paella, pasta, chicken tajine with cous-cous, chilli.... But then after that it goes tits up. I am always ravenous by 9pm. Last night DH was working late so I had my dinner at 6 with DS (chicken with sundried tomatoes, feta cheese and roasted meditteranean veg) DH text me to ask me to make him some pasta with tomato sauce. I ended up scoffing the pasta he didn't want pushing me well over my pp for the day.

This last fortnight has been terrible. My tummy is constantly rumbling.

I've been on the pp since it switched and I've lost a miserable 4ibs (tbf over christmas I did abandon it and haven't really picked up any momentum since)
