HELLOOOOO! Am back from my fab ski week with the girls. As predicted I put on exactly 6 lb. Skiing from 9.30 ish til 5 all day every day too!! I thought I had been a bit better behaved (food-wise and alcohol-wise that is Wink) but clearly not. However I am pleased to report that all the fun and frolics meant it was well worth the 6lb gain....but I might not still be saying that in 4 weeks time if I dont shift it quickly! Not a great start so far, found two rocky bars and a mini ritter strawberry yogurt choc bar whilst I was unpacking so I have had a pre-breakfast snack already!

I am currently sporting a stripy face as we had 6 days of blazing sun, so I have a brown stripe where there was a gap between my helmet and goggles, a brown stripe where the bottom of my goggles must have wiped my suncream off, and a brown chin where my jacket must've done same. Most attractive....not. One day it was so hot me and another girl did a run with just our ski pants and sports bra crop tops on........may post photo if can work out how!!

Anyhow I have a big work meeting tomorrow and there is always a lovely lunch so I think I will forget ww until Weds. Haven't had time to catch up on the thread properly but I hope everyone is OK.

andro sad to hear of bear trauma - we had similar moocow trauma with my ds when he was a tot and i think I was almost as upset as him!

Happy Monday everyone,

Am going to put my disclaimers first before I post my WI result methinks:

Disclaimer 1. WI this morning rather than this evening.
Disclaimer 2. I have had D & V and so has the rest of the family! One day I had the grand total of 6pp!

These (and I thought not too bad a week) has resulted in a weight loss of 6 pounds!!!! which is my stone and a half and 10% but am not going to celebrate too much, will wait and see what the scales say next week and do an average over the two weeks.

Okay, off to read through all the posts I have missed and try and catch up.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/03/2011 11:09

Gosh this thread moves fast!

Blondes, sounds like you had a good weekendWink I drank at least my extra 49 points on Saturday nightBlush, never mind how much I had to eat. Just hoing to sts at WI, and will try not to eat much today!

So let's compare how much lighter you are in the morning compared to the evening. I am about 6-7lbs lighter in the morning. Is that the most difference?

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/03/2011 11:50

tilly wow at 6/7lbs,im normally 3 heavier in eve

OP posts:
Piffle · 28/03/2011 11:50

Went out for dinner last night but had cod on carrot and swede mash with mussel broth so VERY low PP
Bring on white fish am gonna be living on it LOL

I then had a treat of a little cheeseboard and a few drinks
Still got 40 weeklies and there they will stay!

Today shredded wheat and semi skim

chorizo tortilla and salad lunch

Moroccan chicken and green beans and brown rice for tea

6 activity PP snacking on pineapple again...

No time tor read through properly grrr be back later with more to say to everyone!
Congrats to those embarking on the new week with vigour :)

NoWayNoHow · 28/03/2011 12:42

Hi all

androbob SO SO SO Sad for your DD - DS has "Little Pig" and I think the world would actually end if he lost him... Sad

CLB I know how disheartening it is to sts/gain when you've had a good week, but well done on picking yourself up.

mrs congrats on the loss, you must have been pleased if you felt you'd had a bad week.

froot glad you had a good holiday, and 6lbs will soon go when you're back to eating normally.

sparkle I'm extremely jealous pleased about your weight loss, although I feel very sorry for you that you had to lose it that way. Stomach bugs are the nastiest things in the world, really...

blondes glad you enjoyed your sexcellent weekend Grin

tilly i'm normally 2lbs heavier in the evening

piffle your meal plans for the days sound scrummy!

I'm still ill - I think it must be just an unbelievably bad case of sinusitis or something, but going to book appt with GP for tomorrow a.m. Genuinely can't bear the pain anymore, head feels like it's going to explode and decongestant about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Ate almost all of what was left of my weeklies yesterday (roast and then ice-cream by the sea, as well as eleveses!). Have 5 weeklies left, but should have no need of them today as I've already tracked breakfast, lunch, and what i@m having for dinner, and have 10 dailies left.

Anyone WI tonight?

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/03/2011 12:44

I think it's all the tea I drink. I wee all nightSmile

LittleFriendSusan · 28/03/2011 14:22

Androbbob - sorry to hear about DD's bear... did they take your number in case it does turn up somewhere? Excellent news re last years trousers Grin - definitely bin them now!

Jojo - you'd be surprised - I have had LOADS of comments on weight loss and have only lost 11lb to date - I don't really see it myself yet, but others must!

mrskbpw well done on 1lb loss.

CLB1 - stick with it, it'll come off eventually! Agree it's very disheartening to STS when within points though...

debs - it's freezing here today too! I looked at low carbing but would really struggle. Have tried to limit them though...

froot - eek at 6lb gain but sounds like it was worth it! Grin at your stripey face. I remember going skiing once years ago and lost my sunblock so had to borrow my friend's, which obviously wasn't strong enough for my fair freckly skin. Got very burnt - with white panda eyes from the ski glasses. Not very attractive!

sparkles - wow, 6lb! I'm Envy Not sure I'd want the D&V to get there though...

BTM - I weigh about 4-5lb lighter in the morning, I reckon. Is your WI tomorrow?

Piffle - hope all your hard work pays off this week!

NWNH - sorry you're still feeling ill, hope GP can give you something to help shift it!

Well, WI for me tonight, and so much for me sticking to my 29 all last week! Weekend went horribly wrong and can't even blame the booze as only had 1 glass of wine all last week! Had a shocking 35PP Fri, 52PP Sat and 44PP Sun, which is usually a low day for me as just before WI!

Culprits are Sat: croissant for breakfast, Mcdonalds Chicken Legend for lunch & wholemeal spinach & potato pies for tea (had 2 as thought they wouldn't be too bad, but actually worked out at 19PP for two... bloody nice though!). Plus 6PP on chocolate.

Sun: Ginger & cashew cereal for brekkie (7PP), bacon butties for lunch (11PP on bacon, eek!), full fat Yoo fruit corner 5PP plus beef hotpot for tea & 3PP on choc... Went for a walk in the afternoon so at least earnt a few activity points...

So... used all weeklies and 7 out of 10 activity points. Not great considering this was the week to knuckle down Blush. I had def lost weight on Friday but fear that has now gone to pot! Had wholemeal pineapple muffin for breakfast today as running late, salad, ryvita & laughing cow light for lunch + Activia LF yogurt. Mackerel & harissa couscous for tea (after WI!).

LittleFriendSusan · 28/03/2011 14:25

Hi All, just popping my head around the door to say hello!!! I was so ill at the start of last week with D & V - not pleasant at all and the only thing I had for the best part of 72 hours was soft mints and peppermint tea! By Thursday I was OK and since then have eaten pretty much what I fancied just to get my appetite back. So sympathise with you Sparkles as I had 3 1/2 days of it and wanted to die! Noway hope you are feeling better too - sounds awful! Androbob my little girl has a favourite toy and we have lost him (albeit temporarily) a few times - and it is hell so much sympathy.

WI today and lost 2 lbs and I am now only 3lb away from my goal weight and have lost 2 stone and 10lb in total since the end of November. Saw my sister at weekend and not seen her for over 6 months and she was amazed at how different I looked! However, really need some new clothes - nothing fits but can't really afford to replace my whole wardrobe!

Good luck with WI's. I made a lovely salad that I had with a piece of fillet steak - it was really simple but so tasty! Rocket leaves drizzled with balsamic vinegar and then griddle some cherry tomatoes seasoned with salt and pepper. Pour them over the rocket and grate a little parmesan cheese over the top. Only the cheese to point and I had a smallish steak, mushrooms and asparagus and it was really gorgeous! Anyway, just want to share!

LittleFriendSusan · 28/03/2011 15:27

Unfortunately no sexercise for me whatsoever blondes Grin

Just looked back and my lunches were 9PP almost every day last week. Had a 6, a 4 and a 5 the week before. I reckon that should keep you going - one of my staples is seeded pitta bread, LF houmous & big plate of salad. Yogurt or fruit for pud and that fills me up till 6ish (or 8ish some nights). Today's the first time I've had Ryvita in a long time so will see how I fare - won't be eating till late as walking to WI.

LittleFriendSusan · 28/03/2011 15:29

Well done loublou :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/03/2011 16:22

debs39 · 28/03/2011 17:11

am still mojo less but have avoided temptation....like TOTM blues but it isn't...might be cos am still hacked off after hen wkend...there was a bit of a disaster on it that am supremely annoyed about still but had to try and pretend all was well with the world.....I know it is an afront to the Sisterhood but has put me off going away / out with women ever again :(

debs39 · 28/03/2011 17:13

oh well....at least my order has just been confirmed by Sports Direct...nowt like new gym gear ( and a disney cars balance bike for small child ) to brighten up my week!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/03/2011 17:19

what happened debs on hen do?

OP posts:
debs39 · 28/03/2011 17:56

erm well, after drinking since 10am and being a bit bored of standing in bars trying not to look like 'women on the pull', i gave up the ghost early at 8pm ( polishes halo) and went back to room I had got ready in ( mine wasn't ready when we had gone out so me and friend of 35yrs plus had got ready in her room) ..as all my gear was there and had noooo idea which room i was supposed to be in....but when said friend arrived back drunk at 2am she was v huffy I was still in room ( not that she had paid extra for single room...we had all chipped in for the spare room so to speak...) v huffy, aggressive, incomprehensible, abusive...so I got clothes on, chucked my stuff in suitcase and left...luckily the hen was still up when I got in touch with her and eventually got to bed at 4am........

Can I be annoyed?? As gritted teeth yesterday and smiled like a loony when she apologised..in front of other friend tho' so cldn't really say what I thought........

wizzler · 28/03/2011 18:01

Androbob Sad for poor DD. Have you tried this www.lostmylovey.com/.. can't hurt to try.

I am trying so hard to be strong, but my mum has made butterfly buns for the kids and I swear they are calling to me in a way that fruit never will! WI tomorrow so I must hold out.

Does anyone know... if I ate 1lb of salad or 1lb of quality street, then immediately I would weigh 1lb more, but how long would it take for the quality street to become fat on my hips ?... do you see my poiint ?

NoWayNoHow · 28/03/2011 18:26

debs, there's no point in trying to reason with people when they're drunk. You did the right thing by gritting teeth and accepting apology... Nothing more infuriating than an abusive lush, though.

wizzler I know what you mean! a Morrisons chocolate fruit cake called to me earlier - I answered...

Right, I think I might be ready for some before/after photos. If cheeky WI today was anything to go by, I've hit the lightest I've been in 7 years, and TBH, I'd be happy at this weight for the rest of my life. Whaddya think?

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/03/2011 18:32

debs silly pissed tart

wizzler if you eat them just before wi then sure will be fine Grin

noway 'waits to see pics' and well done for being lightest in years!!!
