NoWayNoHow · 26/03/2011 16:58

From the POV of a lady who hates everyone and everything at the moment (day 7 of being sick changes a person), I would like to throw my two cents in about Denise v O.

I wish all the moneyed slebs with inappropriately perfect, sculpted, and formulaically fed bodies would SOD OFF AND DIE.

Willabywallaby · 26/03/2011 18:51

NoWay YANBU

hmc · 26/03/2011 20:28

Grin - also think YANBU! Sorry to hear you are still feeling pants, hope your nearest and dearest are giving you some tlc

dontdillydally · 26/03/2011 21:44

please help....joined WW 2 weeks ago, first week lost 4lbs, 2nd week after following to a T, hardly using extra points AND walking everywhere I sts...I was very shocked.

I know a few of you have answered my other threads but Im really feeling very demorilised...all leader said was it the time of the month

Anyone got any words of advice?

Willabywallaby · 27/03/2011 08:29

Just keep going is all I can advise. 4lbs is still 2lbs a week over the fortnight.

Piffle · 27/03/2011 09:09

I'm a bit the same lost a lot in the first 2 weeks then only 1/2 lb last week despite walking miles each day and being good
It was time of the month for me but I was still glum
I expect next week to be tons better!!!

dontdillydally · 27/03/2011 09:15

ummm I think this new plan has a bit more thinking about ie more activity and more thought into food choices ie choose more protein perhaps

Will stick at it - have to need to loose stone and a half if want to feel nice for summer coming!

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/03/2011 10:54

dilly agree 4 lbs over 2 weeks is fab, i managed 2 lbs over the last month :( keep plodding

noway 'hi fives' feel totally the same

hmc no 1 completed Grin

OP posts:
dontdillydally · 27/03/2011 11:24

wizzler · 27/03/2011 11:34

Blondes.. have you thought about becoming a vintage pointer for a week or so to see if that makes any difference ? .. or will you just continue on the shag fest ?
Well done Loopy.
Dilly.. just keep at it... I lost 3.5 in week 1 but sts in week 2. and was gutted. Since then though i have slowly but surely lost every week and am hoping to hit the stone barrier on tuesday (12 weeks I think). Keep going!

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/03/2011 11:55

OP posts:
hmc · 27/03/2011 16:26

Estimated activity points Blondes?

Littlefish · 27/03/2011 17:56

Dilly - I did exactly the same thing. When I started on WW back in October, I lost 6.5lbs in my first week, followed everything to the letter for my second week, but stayed the same. I was shocked! I think it was just my body adjusting to the change in my eating habits. Stick with it. I've lost nearly 3 stone so far Grin

Blondes and Tilly - I'd heard the exercise thing too. ie - you have to do more exercise than you would normally, to be able to count the points. Not sure where I heard it though, it may have been on here! Wink

Well, I'm back from my big weekend in London. The party was lovely. I had lots of compliments which was fab. I really did try hard to stay within my points, by drinking alternate alcohol/water, and sticking to vodka and soda with a tiny dash of lime. I did succumb to the most amazing freshly cooked fried in litres of oil battered calamari. It was bloody delicious! In the end, I had to make myself walk away from the plate and go and talk to someone else in order to break its dastardly spell over me.

The rest of the time I was more sensible and stationed myself by the crudites/hummous/pitta bread plate and ate my own body weight in carrots, peppers and celery.

It's been a tough week with a few meals out, and still another one to go before weigh in on Tuesday.

I'm off to make courgette soup to try and minimise the damage. Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/03/2011 21:01

hmc not sure, but went on top for extra work therefore ppWink

littlefish sounds a lovely weekend, good luck with wi tue

anyone heard/seen norma or lucky

diet will re start tomorrow, def eaten all my extra 49 points this weekend tho have sexercised them off Grin

Evening all - had a very stressful weekend. Wasnt supposed to be but ended up that way. Went to a family ashes internment (thingy in churchyard - if that is the right word). Anyway it was a 2 hour drive and we met family at a park about 5 miles away from venue. Met up early in case of problems on M6 (usual) and had a few hours to spare, so off we went to this park and cafe. DD took her favourite bear that she has had since she was a baby - 9 year old threadbare classic pooh bear. Unbeknown to me ths bear was taken out of the car, in the cafe, around the gardens and then eventually put down in the toilets. On we went a further 5 miles to function and refreshments in pub, then to a hotel where we were staying the night. Were there about 10 minutes and I unpacked bags and unloaded DS soft toy. She then remembered and panicked about hers. Dad went to check car but returned with sinking feeling - bear was still in toilet and place had closed 1 hour ago. Tried phoning but no response. Queue more crying and screaming = distraught. Eventually went to sleep that night with a rolled up towel - nearest we could get to a rough bear feel. She did sleep all night and the fretted until 11am until place opened again. So off we went and searched / asked - bear not found. We asked and looked in bins but the guy reckoned they have loads of kids through the place and I reckon someone picked up and either binned him or threw him around outside. Too big a place to search properly. So one sad girl here who has been brave all day but now cant sleep. We have tried all other bears (she has 37) but none are quite the same as her original bear. Found on on ebay which we have ordered as a new friend, but she is so sad.

Apart from all that - had great food at the weekend and managed to get salad for lunch and refreshements after do and then a small tea. Had a croissant for breakfast as well as bacon, egg and mushrooms and coffee. Too full for lunch and pizza and salad for tea.

Back to tracking properly tomorrow - tried on some summer trousers from last year - too big Grin and the ones from the previous year now fit Grin so will be binning the too large ones for good! Still got to lose 2 stone to fit into the lovely size 12 trousers I have - hoping to wear them in july ./ august!!!

Hope all had a better weekend than me!

JoJoBaldwin · 27/03/2011 21:39

lol @ blondes sexercise Grin

Am sooooooo ready to get back on track tomorrow. Great party weekend but feel so ill and tired. Strangely I looked good and loads of people were telling me how much weight I'd lost - it can't have been that noticeable as it's only been about 9lb (and I wouldn't be suprised if that amount has decreased since I last weighed). I think it was the dress that seemed to give me an hourglass figure as if by magic. And the new haircut. Made me realise the importance of dressing well and being groomed to make you feel and look better even if the pounds haven't shifted as quickly as you'd like!

Hoping the next five days can be good enough to undo the terribleness of the last 2 weeks. Shall start doing the davina fit dvd CDL very kindly sent me and gets lots of walking in the park tomorrow.

debs39 · 28/03/2011 09:44

blondes - am gonna go low carb...veggies only and protein...see if that can shift the stubborn pesky pounds.....not hardcore enough though to do full IPD that was on that low carb thread that was posted up....that would mean foregoing carrots??? I mean...how will I cope without my carrot sticks to get me through the munchies ha ha!! My weekend hen party went not too bad...lots of champers and I only had 2 lots of soup and fajitas ( without the wraps )... will weigh in on Friday and see if going low carb but still eating up to dailies works....No getting extra pps with sexercise for me.....(good thing too as DH overseas at the moment ha ha ...)

JoJoBaldwin · 28/03/2011 09:48

Oh poor DD androbob Sad

Have a picnic in the park today so will be trying to avoid picnic pitfalls (crisps, calorific snacky stuff). Have made a salad with 100g of prawns in a reduced fat seafood sauce (4pp) and will take a laughing cow triangle and buy some grapes/sliced apple from Boots on the way.

Really have to be on it this week, what on earth happened to me the last 10 days?!!!!

Have a good monday everyone x

CLB1 · 28/03/2011 09:50

Hi All,
So had my WI yeaterday, I go to a meeting in Wakefield. I honestly almost cried, I couldn't believe how upset I got when the scales showed I STS. I tracked everything and didnt go over my points and earned 9 activity pp.
This week has been a stressful week. My sisters birthday and we havent spoken since my DS was born and still havent spoken, my DH has been in bed for a week now with Flu, so I've been solely looking after my 10 week old DS. I just want to say I have great respect for single mum's, I didnt realise how much my DH helped with things.
So I had a blow out yesterday, loverly roast pork (not pointed), 3 cans of Carling, a twix and a brownie ice cream dessert.
I woke up this morning with renewed determination. I WILL lose weight this week, planned my walks already.
androbbob I feel for your DD, I have a 28 year old bear that went everywhere with me when I was small.

So here's to starting over. GL to everyone this week.

debs39 · 28/03/2011 10:03

jjb...picnic in park?? is sodding freezing here......small child wants to go to park on way home from nursery...blooming marvelous as he can see it from the road as we drive past too so can't pretend it is shut.....need to pack my thermal layers or will expire by the swings (going to bodypump now then pick him up straight afterwards so willl be knackered, hungry and frozen by 1pm...bahhh humbug grrrrrrrrrrr )

clb1 glad you are so pumped up for the week...my mojo tho' is hiding at the moment and would only take one slice of toast to derail me for the day...and then the week.........

mrskbpw · 28/03/2011 10:24

Morning all.

Sounds like you are all doing well. I love all the new weight-loss theories!

I had a rubbish week last week, but have lost another 1lb. Phew. Am also now the proud owner of the Shred DVD thanks to your recommendations so will no doubt look like Denise Van Outen by the end of the week.
