tilly no, have always gone to the gym 3times a week, work depending

so no more exercise then normal

hmc prob is,is if i have a week off,i may/can easily gain 3lbs, and then im worse off iyswim

happy to try a low carb day, but what the hell would i eat?

i often have either sandwich/jacket or pasta for lunch

jojo forgot eh? yeah yeah, pull the other one Grin are you happy with 9 lbs loss in 12 weeks?

debs ive heard that as well, but no way i can manage it,im up at 7am,not getting up at 6am and running, and the stuff i do at the gym are class's so on at a time iyswim

vnmum what did you have with your pasta? and yah for lidl, we have one near us and a lot of their food is good, where my friend refuses to shop there as'cheap'

bigTillyMint · 25/03/2011 18:47

Blondes the exercise points only count if it's more than you usually do. So you won't be earning any points by doing your usual - you will have to do more!

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2011 18:49

reallytilly? just as well that i dont count them eh?

weird that,as on old ww i would earn p and then eat them

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 25/03/2011 18:56

Wel,l that's what my really great leader told us.

I don't count mine either, but God knows what would happen if I stopped exercising altogether.

Actually I know - that's why I put on loads when I'm on holSad

vnmum · 25/03/2011 18:59

blondes I had bolognaise sauce made with EL beef steak mince, passata, peppers, onion, mushroom (yeah i know, slime, lol) tom puree, herbs and a bit of tom ketchup. According to the tracker the mince was 4pp for 125g and the sauce i count as 0pp

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2011 19:01

vnmum do you measure out your mince and cook on its own? so you know its def 125g or do you cook say 500g pack and divide mixture into 4?

OP posts:
vnmum · 25/03/2011 19:04

i cook 500g pack then divide by 4. It's never had any effect on weight loss as far as i know. If i think i've had quite a bit more than a 1/4 of the sauce mix then i just add another point or so into my tracker

hmc · 25/03/2011 19:24

Blondes, these guys could probably give you some low / no carb recipes if you are interested

I am liking the idea of double training debs, might try that myself on the occasional day (difficult to sustain routinely due to time factors put do-able on weekends)

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2011 19:26

thansk hmc will read through all when have a sec

Morning! Wow, isn't it a great day? The birds are singing, the sun is shining & I've woken up looking like J-Lo! Fantastic!!!

Ok, the truth: the birds are tweeting , but the sun seems to have made an exit (why does it shine Monday-Friday & blooody disappears when the week-end hits?!?) and I haven't woken up looking like J-Lo...hey ho Wink

I have however lost 3lbs! YES! 3lbs! I really don't know how but I'm overjoyed - I've past my 5%, silver 7 thingy & reached double figures of weight loss, yay!!! :) :) :)

OMG, I have just figured out the secret! Completely cane your weeklies on a bottle & a half of white wine!!!! That's what I did last Saturday night and now I've lost 3lbs - that's the secret, it all makes sense now! Grin

Sorry, for banging on. I was honestly astonished Confused

LoopyLa · 26/03/2011 08:49

SO sorry, I forgot the stats for Blondes in all my ridiculousness:-

In the spirit of hmc

Stats:
Used all dailies
Used all weeklies
Earnt 21 exercise pps
But ate 8 of them
PP consumed in wine 31
PP consumed in beer 10
Current BMI: 25.2
Cumulative loss: 10lbs

(And am too busy watching my recorded programmes on Sky + so can?t be bothered right now to look at carb/protein balance).

And discovered the most amazing tasting porridge this week - usually have semi skim with oats but tried soya milk & soaked the oats overnight. Chopped a banana in it when cooked the next mornijng - t'was amazing :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2011 08:56

well done loopy :)

though make sure you duck for the daggers im throwing Envy Envy

you are one of those who can eat all 49 and then more and still lose weight

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Reporting in late with a 0.5pm gain, TOTM messed things up. Just briefly looked through thread and can see you're struggling Blondes

Don't know if this will help at all but I only use weeklies Thur, Fri, Sat and maybe Sunday. Saturday I deliberately have as a high point day as I feel (and have no science to back this up) that it keeps my metabolism on its toes.Mon, Tue and Wed are daily points only and limited carbs plus a fair bit of low fat dairy. Breakfast is a slice of melon, bacon/eggs/low fat sausage (2 of these) toms and mushrooms. Lunch tends to be 4 Ryvita crackerbread with XL Philly, ham or smoked salmon veg, yogurt and fruit. Chicken/ham/omlette/ tuna with salad or roast veg sometimes.Tea, some kind of lean protein, small serving of carbs eg 150g new pots, half a nest of egg noodles and lots of veg. Snacks tend to be laughing cow, skips, sugar free jelly, fruit and WW cream, alpen light, meringue nest. Fruit is max of 3 servings a day. I need about 14 exercise points and at about 32 weeklies.

This week has gone a bit pear shaped but have has tablets for my period which have had an affect but that's my first gain since middle of November and I am losing much more consistently than on SW. Good luck for next week, hopefully you'll have a good loss which I think sometimes happens after a couple of annoying weeks.

NoWayNoHow · 26/03/2011 09:44

loopy that's a great loss, well done! No wonder you can hear imaginary birds Wink

You're onto something with drinking your weeklies - it may be calorific, but it's still liquid so I like to think it can't hand around too long (that's not scientific, btw, more wishful thinkin)

wynken sorry about your gain, but yu're right, TOTM cocks up everything for everybody. I love your lunch ideas - been struggling for lunch ideas recently, but I love Ryvita, and having 4 with various toppings would be a fairly low PP lunch, I guess (4PP for the Ryvita, plus 1 or 2PP for ham/Philly I guess?)

I used to make tonnes of sugar free jelly when I first started - must make some more (have about 7 packets of Hartley's int he cupboard!!)

Have a good weekend everyone!

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 26/03/2011 10:01

I'm addicted to the Ryvita Wholegrain Crackerbread Noway, 4 is 2 points . I have a couple of points of XL Philly (80g for 2 PP) then if I have it, 30g smoked salmon (1pp) plus lots of cucumber, tomato etc and find that's pretty filling for 4 or 5 points. That wouldn't have filled me up a month ago so used to have 6 crackerbread which is 3pp.

My favourite meal this week was 4pp worth of chicken breast, 150g new pots for 3pp chucked in oven with onion, aubergines , peppers, mushrooms, courgette etc. Juice of a lemon plus tbsp maple syrup (1pp) drizzled over the top . Meringue nest with tbsp WW thick cream (2pp together) and strawberries. 10pp for the lot and felt like a treat.

NoWayNoHow · 26/03/2011 10:06

wynken - YUM. I'm totally going to get some meringue nests.

LoopyLa · 26/03/2011 10:20

LOL! I bought meringue nests last week-end and have had one every single day this week, can't believe how delish they are :)

Blondes I didn't use all my activity points and a lot of the weeklies were on liquid PP so, with all the really helpful insight on this discussion thread I'm going to go rogue and suggest drink more alcohol? Grin

Piffle · 26/03/2011 11:26

What is WW cream?
I'd rather eat no cream than fake cream :)
I had 3 beers last night 15 PP ( 6 from activity pp rest from weeklies) and used 30pP
Weighed today as was weighing dog for tablets...
I am half a kg lighter than WI day yesterday
so yes drinking booze is key Hmm

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 26/03/2011 12:02

Another meringue fan here. I tend to have one with total 0% Greek yogurt and various fruits. Yum.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2011 12:31

wynken my heart goes out to you, bloody af, literally Grin

maybe thats where im going wrong, tbh unless i go out, i rarely drink and i eat my pp

OP posts:
hmc · 26/03/2011 14:57

Loopyla - enjoyed your flight of fantasy there Grin and well done on the 3lbs!

Love the way we are developing new theories of weight loss on this thread - so liquid alcohol calories are okay Noway and Loopy? - because they don't hang around long Grin - that's the kind of diet I like! So pleased that I quaffed half a bottle of prosecco last night, feeling thinner already Wink

Agree ryvitas with toppings are a good way to go for lunch, I saw a lunch suggestion in the WW mag suggesting that you top them with low fat philadelphia, prawns and a dash of sweet chilli sauce which sounds lush...

Wynken - half a pound gain isn't too bad in the scheme of things - fingers crossed that you get a decent loss next week

Right - going to try and settle down for some studying now, got another essay due soon!

hmc · 26/03/2011 14:58

Was going to ask Blondes - do you have a battle plan for this week? Are you going to try anything different?

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2011 15:06

hmc well im gonna eat all my points tomorrow as out for 4th wa, then gonna shag them all off Grin

OP posts:
hmc · 26/03/2011 15:10

Okay - will be expecting regular updates on how that is going Grin

hmc · 26/03/2011 15:27

we too can have van outen's figure for £40 per day Shock

Blimey, wouldn't that be an easy solution Envy
