Bums
Only 200gm lost
Or as my hubby said
" that's just one poo for me love"

Hmm felt I'd done ok this week as did so much walking...
Oh well not giving up! Total loss is still a good so focussing on that
Good luck blondes!!!

NoWayNoHow · 25/03/2011 07:36

Well done iona and bamboo on your losses, and androbob a sts the same is better than a gain!

blondes - please humour me and take your measurements before your WI. I'd love to know whether your lost cm's and whether your clothes feel different. If you're doing so much exercise, I'd be very surprised if you haven't built up muscle mass, and you yourslef know that whilst a lb of muscle is still a lb, it's A THIRD of the volume of fat.

I personally think that you will probably lose this week, but I also think you need to have other measurements to hand so you know whether your body shape has changed - after all, would you care if you were 10lbs heavier at WI if you were a dress size smaller??

NoWayNoHow · 25/03/2011 07:56

piffle that's still 0.5lbs in Ye Olde Antiquated Imperial, still a respectable loss (have to say that cos that's what my loss was this week! Grin)

And you're right, as long as it's going in the right direction, it's all good. You seem to do a LOT of exercise as well, so I reckon the muscle mass/volume argument applies to you too!

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2011 08:52

androb well done for sts

willa either 1 or 2 would be nice, no half lbs on my scales

jojo well done for fitting in size 16 dress :) glad you are wi this week, good luck and 'dribbles' at that meal, tho may not help you this week

piffle its a loss, but not sure what in blonde language - reads further, thats 1/2lb a well done

noway today is measure day anyway, i measure every 4 weeks

right heres goes brb

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2011 08:59

fuck it -ive sts :(

Angry Angry Angry

'takes deep breath'

in the last month lost a pathetic 2 lbs Hmm

sts, then lost 2, then lost 1,gained 1 and sts but

lost 6cms (1 off waist, 3 off hips and 1 off each leg, arms sts), so must be slowing toning but still not totally happy :(

it is totm so may allow a sts but deserved a loss as well within my pp Hmm

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 25/03/2011 09:14

Ah blondes that's a total ball ache (pardon the expression).

Having said that, 3cm from your hips is a substantial loss, so you are changing shape from your exercise. TOTM also adds about a lb for me, so definitely think that would have an impact not only on weight but on measurements too (if you're anything like me - I blow up like a flaming waterbed). You've probably lost even more cm's than you think.

Would it be worth taking measurements again next week and than have that as the beginning of your 4 week cycle? Just so that you're avoiding measuring at the same time as TOTM?

NoWayNoHow · 25/03/2011 09:15

By the way, I want you to know that I feel your pain, so have some of these...

Angry Angry Angry Angry

BTW, when are they going to add a emoticon??

hmc · 25/03/2011 09:24

Blondes - don't know what to say, that is completely unfair Sad

JoJoBaldwin · 25/03/2011 09:27

That's pants Blondes Shock

NoWayNoHow · 25/03/2011 09:34

blondes, can I ask a really weird question?

If your scales don't have half or quarter pounds, can I assume that they aren't digital?

Piffle · 25/03/2011 09:49

Oh totm is a negative?
Got mine Wednesday...
Ahh maybe that's why!
< clutches at hormonal straws>

Blondes the measurements are fab losses. Ok I've lost 4 kgs since starting but my shape has hardly changed.
Oh my fingers and feet are thinner Hmm

Focus on measurements but I know how frustrating it must be

wizzler · 25/03/2011 10:12

Blondes..so unfair Sad. Have you tried reviewing a tracker from a week when you lost say 2lbs, and eating exactly what you did then ? ( Wizzler desperately trying to think of something positive to say)

Piffle · 25/03/2011 10:21

Are your scales modern Blondes?
Sorry if this has been asked before?

ClaireDeLoon · 25/03/2011 10:33

Blondes :( so unfair but the cm loss is great in 4 weeks. And look at it this way - if it was a non TOTM week you'd have lost at least a pound.

Well done piffle

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2011 12:12

thanks for commiserations guys, was at the gym pounding my frustration out at boxercise -think teacher was a bit wow, go blondes, luckily we swap partners all the time, just as well, as no one seemed to want to partner me, cant think why Grin

i really feel :( over this week, i tried so hard and was within weekies easily - yes maybe i have technically lost a lb but havnt due to that pesky AF :(

can you imagine what would have happened if i had eaten my weekies and exercise pp, i would have gained 5 lbs

noway good point, i will remeasure next week and have that as week 1

piffle yes seems totm , it seems No one loses

for all those who have asked my scales are digital, no way would i weigh on needle ones, too hard to check, they have kg and lbs on them and about 5 yrs old

wizzler the week i lost 2 lbs , it was prob cos i sts the week before and if you all rem i was gutted :( (so a month ago) and think we found that many of us are around the same time

claire i hope so

since i started wwpp in jan i have lost 9lbs in 12 weeks, patheticAngry

stats on measurements

4cm off waist
7cm off hips
3cm off each thigh
2cm off each arm

so 21cms in all - not much :(

i shall be eating all my weekies this week on sunday as out for 4th wa - maybe i need to try eating them all at weekend and then stick to 29 the next 4 days?

OP posts:
debs39 · 25/03/2011 12:38

blondes when I was ill at xmas I did noooooo exercise at all for 12 days, didn't have lack of appetitie either so still ate and drank ha ha...and lost a lb or so...might you consider a week off the gym???? I go to see hubby for sometimes up to 4wks at a time and no classes over there I just do a pathetic 3km run (too hot to do anymore!!) and I always stay the same of not lose a bit.... Am actually seeing a bit of a trend myself now...might be that our bodies just want a bit of a rest.....

debs39 · 25/03/2011 12:40

ps iheart did 2 classes but then undone all the good with vodka and diet cherryade...erm around 25pp's worth...then had 2 packets of hula hoops too!!! Well, am in training for this wkend's hen wkend away......am trying to promise myself that I shall not be drinking on the train at 10am......... ha ha

NoWayNoHow · 25/03/2011 12:42

blondes that's not a bad idea. That's why I've always felt Envy of those with WI's on Friday - weekends tend to be letting go times, so you have the whole week to "get over" it.

Try it, see how you get on next week, and see what your measurements say after AF too. If I'm honest, I think if this had been a non-TOTM week, you wolud have had more to show for your efforts, both in WI and in measurements.

Glad the boxercise helped! Grin

bigTillyMint · 25/03/2011 12:50

blondes Angry for you.

I agree, maybe you should have a week off (but don't go too mad!) and then start again? It seemed tp work for me at half-term.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2011 12:50

thats why i wi on a friday, as often out/want takeaway/chinese etc sat

tbh i am generally good sun-thur anyway

found this on another thread

5lbs of muscle v 5lbs of fat

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 25/03/2011 12:54

Well, that's probably it!

Are you doing significantly more exercise than before?

hmc · 25/03/2011 13:23

Yes a week ot two off might be the way to go Blondes.

Alternatively, would you alternatively consider trying 2 or 3 days out of the week as strictly v.low carb/no carb days to see if that has any effect? So no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes etc at all on those days, but lots of lean protein, some (reduced fat) dairy and plenty of fruit and veg?. That wouldn't be sustainable over a week but you might pull it off for a couple of days in the week? and it might help? - the low carbers (read a thread recently) seem uber convinced about its effectiveness.

JoJoBaldwin · 25/03/2011 16:26

That sounds a good idea hmc.

It does seem strange Blondes given the amount of exercise you do and how motivated you are. I've lost about 9lb since january too but that's because, as you know, I fall off the wagon constantly and have been yo-yo-ing. You definitely deserve to have lost more.

I went into town and did all my things but realised when i got home just now that I forgot to do my WI at Boots. It was a proper "forget" not just wimping out, I promise. I got distracted by shoes. Blush Am away tomorrow so next chance I get to WI at my local Boots is monday - so think I will deffo leave it till next friday.

Have a good weekend everyone x

debs39 · 25/03/2011 16:54

ooooo hmc try and find that thread for us please

ps another idea blondes might be double training...if you can find the time that is.....train early morning and then again at night....not double the work tho ...say if you normally do an hr then this way you would do 2 x 40mins...I read something about this superboosting fat burning...shall try and see if I cn find it again......after typing this is am feeling I shld go out for quick run or even attack at the gym...see if double training will prepare me for the excesses of this weekend and help me stave off the hangover this wkend will give me come Sunday and prob Monday too......

vnmum · 25/03/2011 17:26

Hi all,
comiserations blondes, i really don't know what to suggest, how disheartening for you though.

I had a good day yesterday, back on the plan. CBL I had the 75g dry weight of pasta but because it was wholemeal it was filling enough and i was actually having to make myself find something to eat at night time to use my last 6 points of the day, and thats with me being on 29.

I was caught out for lunch today and had to grab something from tesco but was pleased with myself that i chose a 7pp sandwich and water and a bag of apple and grape.

Having fish and chips tonight (homemade). I have got some cod fillets in batter from lidl (reef crest is the make) and they are only 5pp per fillet which i think is good
