Welcome Sue and wow at your weight loss - what an inspiration!

vnmum well done for staying the same

shoulders crumpets and philadelphia for brekkie sound lovely! I'm gong to try that.

blondes I think an egg is protein, it's not dairy at all is it? I mean what part of a cow does the egg come out of? I was confused by them putting it in both categories. I also think 14pp on carbs too high unless some of those carbs are beans etc.

immortal very impressed at DC6. You are hereby excused from keeping up with the thread :o Stick with it see how it goes - your points are high for a reason after all.

piffle the 1160 nearly tallies with the Blondes patented PP calculation method - 1160/40 = 29. That said after exercise that is lots lower than your target.

NoWayNoHow · 24/03/2011 17:03

Erm...

The kicking didn't really work...

Already 2 over my dailies (before I add rice to my dinner tonight, which I could just skip I guess - and starve) - now only have 29 weeklies remaining and I only WI on Tues!

Pffft.

Angry

(obviously that angry sign is reserved for myself)

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 17:12

noway :( what happened?

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 24/03/2011 17:22

Well... I'm still feeling very sorry for myself, but now have an appetite to accompany me to the Pity Party.

Lunch not bad for me, just far more pointy than it needed to be considering it was healthy stuff (wrap=4PP, R/F houmous=3PP, 1/2 small avo=3PP). Then saw one of DS' mini caramel eggs (2PP) in the fridge, and thought I should probably have that. Then went to supermarket and definitely needed the 300g tub of olives on the reduced shelf (1/3=6PP), and there it ends...

Not terribly shockingly bad stuff, just really high PP stuff, which actually isn't filling me up in any way, and now I'm hungry again with 2hrs till dinner Sad

Oh well, at least there were some strawberries on the reduced shelf too!! Grin

(btw, this is why I normally do online shopping - too much in store temptation!!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 17:58

i thought olives were good :( tho still disgusting and in the slime/mushroom camp Grin

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 24/03/2011 18:00

I think 10 olives in brine are only 1PP, but these were marinated olives which are (according to eSource) 3PP for 50g... Maybe I've overestimated them - here's hoping!!

MMMMM.... SLIIIIIMMME... Grin

givemeaclue · 24/03/2011 18:34

Welcome CLB1.

Noway I am glad you seem to be feeling better

Agree totally with comments about "shake up" method.. do you remember about 3 threads ago when I mentioned that Gary Barlow lost weight by dieting for 6 days a week and eating whatever he wanted the rest of the time ?

wizzler · 24/03/2011 19:34

Welcome and well done to Givemeaclue

OP posts:
bamboobutton · 24/03/2011 21:11

me again with my latest weigh-in.

i've lost half a stone now, yippee!! only 2 and a half to go.

CLB1 · 24/03/2011 21:12

Wow this thread moves fast, i only posted this morning and we're already 2 pages more.
Blondes I weighed 12st for my wedding and thats my target weight. Don't really fancy paying to have the rings made bigger as would mean I failed. Not going to fail thou, not this time. (determind face!). Good Luck for your WI (Sending positive vines your way)
SueW Wow what an amazing weight loss even if you haven't done it in exactly a year you should be very proud. In the end I need to lose 5st.
Piffle Don't let your DH weight loss dishearten you, any loss in a step in the right direction and hopefully never to be seen again ;)
Nowaynohow I was going to give you a swift kick but I think its too late for today so I'll save it for tomorrow. If it makes you feel better I always seem to have eaten my weeklies by Tuesdays (WI on a sunday), I have a thing were by if something is there I have to eat it, not only have I eaten my weeklies but also 8 activity pp. :( I have planned another walk tomorrow to get back on top of things.
Vnmum Well done on staying the same, atleast you didnt go up any. How much pasta did you end up having in the end?
ImmortalBeloved I can sympathise with you my DS is 9 weeks old, I started WW when he was 4 weeks. I find it hard to make time to plan and cook, this is where my slow cooker comes into its eliment. You said you don't think its working for you at the mo, well I felt the same on my 1st week. I was convinced I had gone up and not down but lost 3lbs. Good Luck and keep it going :)
Givemeaclue Congrats on the stone so far. another 7lbs is very do able in 7 weeks. I'm sure you'l look great in your swim suit :)
Wizzler Hmm at Gary Barlow, I usually have 1 meal that I dont point up which is the one after my weigh-in. It lets me get the cravings out of my system and ready to start a fresh and I've lost 10lbs in 4 weeks so I don't think it hurts too much.

So I want to take my DS abroad this year (he'll be 8 months) and I'm having a hard time convincing my DH that it won't be as mush hassle as he thinks. I mean I know its going to be alot different than when just us two but I need something to look forward too and a holiday would be perfect. I have come up with some idea's and he hasn't said an out right no yet so fingers crossed.

Well bed time for me as I'll be up at 3am for a feed, night all :)

CLB1 · 24/03/2011 21:14

Blondes I meant to say Vibes, and I think you'll have a good loss. don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat so if your going to the gym it could just be that transition :)

IHeartIona · 24/03/2011 21:15

hi all
well done hmc, Shoulders, SueW for your losses, well done vnmum for STS
fingers crossed for you Blondes - I think you deserve a loss! or watch out all WW people.....
immortal - congrats on dc6! Smile stick at it
welcome givemeaclue and well done on your loss
debs39 - did you manage 1 or 2 classes today? sounds v tiring!

I lost 1lb this week and am very pleased as have 6.5 lbs to go to my goal, am now in a different stone bracket, have 0.5 lb to my third silver 7. Grin
BUT I only had 10 of my weeklies this week, no blowouts. So the remaining 6.5 might take a while! Will try to do more exercise this week.

I made the chickpea and yogurt salad from the 5 lunches article today - very tasty I thought and only 6pp. (from here: www.weightwatchers.co.uk/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=52341&sc=3022)

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 21:19

clb tech muscle doesnt weight more than fat, a lb of fat is the same as a lb of feather or a lb of muscle but its shape/mass is different and uses less room in the body :) but i know what you meant to say :)

i normally have 60g rice/pasta for 6pp and its a small serving :(

iona and bamboo well done on loss's

OP posts:
hmc · 24/03/2011 21:29

Blondes - I am actually quite scared of what might happen if you don't lose weight [gibbers nervously]

Got the feeling you will this time though

hmc · 24/03/2011 21:35

SueW - thanks for that detail re personal trainer. Am wondering whether to try one out, don't really know much about core work, swiss balls and all that malarkey!

Vnmum - good to see that maintenance is working for you and doing precisely what it should do (i.e. keeping you on the straight and narrow and within your goal weight banding)

Noway8 all is not lost. You still have 29 weeklies. You've been feeling pants all week so cut yourself some slack and start with renewed determination tomorrow

Well done on losses Iheart and bamboobutton

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 21:41

hmc I hope so. Will be disheartened if I gain or sts

OP posts:
androbbob · 24/03/2011 21:43

Evening all - sure moves fast around here (unlike me this week Grin)

Not been concentrating much this week - far too much on think about anything other than work but eased off now - hurrah for Friday! STS this week - which is ok but need to get movng again!!

What I need is a daily 'kick up the bum' text message service - it must exist somewhere! noway - if you are still tiddling your thumbs feeling poorly - can you see if you can find one!! Needs to be free though!

Bed for me now - worn out!!! Catch up tomorrow - some good losses again this week!

Willabywallaby · 24/03/2011 22:13

I predict a 1.5lb loss for Blondes (fingers crossed!)

JoJoBaldwin · 25/03/2011 07:19

Thanks for the Davina dvd offer CDL - if no-one has taken you up on it I would love to! Can send out an sae to you.

Blondes looks like i don't have to go away till tomorrow now so i suppose I have time to wander into town today and WI. Boo. Part of my reluctance is that I have to wear a dress on saturday and if i have put half a stone on I will be thinking in my head that I look horrid and ridiculous.

I think I just felt hopeless and rubbish this week and stopped tracking. Caught off-guard by rogue bottle of wine (after I'd had all my weeklies) and couldn't keep my hands off bread and butter (totm). Then last night got home late from shopping and hubby had been very sweet and bought the Waitrose meal for a tenner and cooked it - salmon en croute, potato rosti, chocolate pudding.

HOWEVER - not to dwell. I may still be lumpy but found a killer dress that makes me look a tad Christina Hendricks! Still an 18 and not the 16 I was hoping for, but at least not a 20. And after an initial 2 hours of wanting to kill myself in clothes shops found a fair few things that looked nice on me - a miracle!

So even if I have put half a stone on I will cope - could do without the boozy 40th birthday party on saturday though - and girls night out the following saturday. I never normally have a social life, what is happening?

My fridge is now full of quorn and fish and veg. No bread in sight Grin

JoJoBaldwin · 25/03/2011 07:22

And a whopping gain for you Blondes I reckon Wink

wizzler · 25/03/2011 07:32

Good luck Blondes.
