blondes - you are a super clever bird!!! I had heard about the easy equation but didn't dare rely on it...you have proven it right though!!

Good luck for you this week....do you have much to lose now though?? I have about 7lb to get me to goal and this is low end of WW guide for my height...am small build though so this isn't unfeasible and have been 7lb lghter than that too so can be done!!!! but being debs39 think it may be an age thing now....:(

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2011 20:25

no one seems to belive me when i say calories divided by 40 = pp, and say ww is all about carbs/protein etc but try it

works every time and your calorie theory proves it

tech i have 5 lbs to go to get back to pre happy weight of 11 stone

but my goal is to get back into a pair of trousers i love and i cant do them up :( so may need to go 7lbs lower and tone more :(

blondes...I feel your pain.....grrrr...last few Lbs are hardest as so tempting to just think 'stuff this for a game of cricket'.....perhaps the 80/20 rule might work for me.....almost like a controlled blow out but without the guilt...dare i eat naughtily for one or 2 days though...lordy knows what weight I would put on!! Ha ha!!

benbenandme · 23/03/2011 20:52

Another 1lb off for me tonight, taking me to 13.5lbs off in total :)

IHeartIona · 23/03/2011 21:05

hello all
well done to the recent losers - benben, Willaby, ClaireDeLoon, littlefish, wizzler, abgirl, loublou, LittleFriend, NoWay, sparkle

I see a lot of people live in Kent! (not me, edge of Surrey here)

ClaireDeLoon - very interesting, thanks for the split info. will have to work my average out and see if I could juggle it

hmc - also v interesting tip from our friend Jillian - think it could hold the truth, will def try it out. in a way it is good to have a method so if you go over on the points one day you don't feel like giving up, and know you have a strict day the next etc

NoWayNoHow - thanks for the recipe links you posted earlier in the week, they look tasty, will try some over the weekend (dh not into veggie food so may have to stock fridge for him!)

blondes thanks for your calculation of how pps are worked out. very interesting too.
I always think of it like I had 18 poiints a day on the old plan, now I have 29 + 7 weekly propoints a day, so the 18 has been doubled to 36 in the new plan, tying in nicely with the food values on the new plan being roughly double the old plan. I think WW are trying to provide a proper way to borrow the points from one day to another (like you could do on the old plan) which is built in and you don't need to feel guilty about. our leader says they did it so people would track all week rather than just Mon to Fri then not over the weekend when they wanted to eat more/drink etc.

I have been testing this week what happens if I only use a few of my weeklies - have used ten this week and they reset to 49 tommorrow as it is my WI day. fingers crossed!

(sorry for long ramblings! would love to join in with the chat more but feel guilty when at work Grin)

hmc · 23/03/2011 21:57

Good luck for wi tomorrow Iheart and well done benben and willaby on losses.

cdl re Biggest Loser are you thinking of one of the Tongan blokes who took his shirt off and had the weird shape going on around the waist? I think perhaps they might be residual love handles rather than spare skin - perhaps the last spot where his fat goes? Rest of him is looking pretty ripped - I'm not as fussy as you because I would! [laughs dirtily) although I would ask him to keep his top on.

I am going to throw my home scales out because they bear no relation to the WW WI scales. Was convinced I had gained a 1lb but WW scales say I lost 3lbs Shock. Am not complaining but was taken aback!

So stats:
Used all dailies
Used all weeklies
Earnt 28 exercise pps (possibly more because I deliberately undercount them and often classify exercise as moderate when perhaps it is intense)
But ate 23 of them Blush
PP consumed in wine 20 (taken from weeklies)
Current BMI: 27.7
Cumulative loss: 39lbs
Tracking accuracy - high
Mostly low carb except for wine
(Anal retentiveness 10 out of 10 Wink)

Am wondering if protein breakfasts (carb avoidance) prior to big exercise sessions over the last couple of days might have helped

Good luck to everyone due to weigh over the next couple of days - especially blondes, debs and androbbob who all deserve bigger losses than you are getting!

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2011 22:15

benben well done on loss

iona i catch up while waiting for dc to come out from school Grin

multitasking at its best Grin

hmc so basically you ate all daily and weekly and most of exercise like a total pig and lost 3 lbs Envy

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2011 22:15

hmc · 23/03/2011 22:23

PMSL - blondes, tell it like it is Wink! Yes, I'm surprised by how much I managed to eat too. But I do exercise ++++ so am not entirely undeserving Grin

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 23/03/2011 22:24

2lb off for me today. that's 30lb total. I am now the same weight as I was in about November 2010, which was pre DD2 pregnancy and Christmas etc. Am v happy! My next mini target is to be back at the weight I was for my wedding, so that's another 8 lb ish.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 23/03/2011 22:26

blondes, do you always have tea this late? have you tried moving it earlier in the evening? some people say that eating late at night is not good for weight loss.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2011 23:04

Tea was 8.30 shoulders. If I eat earlier say 6pm I would be hungry and eat again by 9/10pm

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2011 23:06

Well done shoulders on loss :)

Sure you will get to your goal

OP posts:
JoJoBaldwin · 24/03/2011 07:27

Well done shoulders and all the other losers.

Bit sheepish, really haven't been on the ball this week. Not exactly over-eaten massively but been eating all the wrong things, like lots of bread and butter. A consequence of eating out of the freezer and not having enough fruit and veg around. Oh and someone gave me a bottle of wine.

Not going to have time to get to Boots today or tomorrow to weigh in so might skip this week and weigh-in next friday instead. Have to get through a weekend away and a 40th birthday party this weekend. So much for dropping a dress size before it, I feel like I've put on a stone! Though have been quite active so hopefully that has offset things a little.

Can anyone recommend a fitness dvd please? I'm thinking a Davina one? Maybe Shred? (scary!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 07:45

jojo no skipping WI - make time!!! ESP if been slightly bad this week (butter and wine) :(

Can it go from Yr 49 orhave they been eaten/drunk?

Sunny day here and no work till tue :)

WI Tom then will blow weekies on sun as going out for 4th wa

NoWayNoHow · 24/03/2011 07:57

Morning all! So much for stalking the thread yesterday, now have loads to catch up on!

Well done willaby, benben, hmc and shoulders on your losses - all absolutely brilliant! I've a mind to go wear my wedding dress now to see how far I've come (weirdly, I never thought to lose weight for my actual wedding and was almost 2 stone heavier for it Angry Not something one wants to be reminded of in photos for all time!!)

JoJo, i've never tried Shred, but I know that everyone on here absolutely rates it. I've got Davina Fit (from 2010) at home, and I find it absolutely the best thing for me. It has 4 half hour workouts that you can do in your own living room (Aerobics Fit, Top Fit, Kick Fit, and Bottom Fit) as well as a 15min Yoga stretch to do at the end of each workout. The only equipment you need is a yoga mat (only if you're doing it on hard floors) and some weights if yuo're doing Top Fit.

I noticed a difference in my stomach in just week (every workout includes floor work on the abs) - it made a massive difference to my body shape.

CLB1 · 24/03/2011 08:40

Hi all,
I was wondering if your open for a newbie. I started WW about 4 weeks ago and have lost 10lbs so far. I have 2lb to go to get my 5%.
I'm finding it really hard to juggle life as a new mum (I have a 10 week old) and finding time for me to plan and exercise.
I go to a meeting on a Sunday and plan online and have 4st 4lbs to go ideally before August 7th as thats my wedding anniversary and i would like my wedding rings to fit again.
I have been catching up on posts but will take me a while but I agree with Blondes, Jojo you shouldnt skip a weigh-in no matter how bad you have been, it may surprise you.
On exercise DVD's I have bought the Jillian DVD for the WII (Biggest Loser US Trainer) but I haven't tried it yet as had a C-Section and have just been doing walking as a little scared about doing anything more vigarous. Any body know when would be a safe time to start proper exercising?

debs39 · 24/03/2011 09:18

Housework done, washing in, small child at nursery 'til 11.45...so off to bodt attack and then bodypump if my muscles and mind allow.......still debating whether I drink or not on friend's hen wkend away this wkend as know will lose all resolve re food and prob also fall over and injure myself drunkenly too..........

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 09:21

clb welcome and well done on loss so far - i would check with gp about tummy exercises (gillians mean Grin) but prob 12 weeks after a c section, but lots of walks with babs in buggy would be fine

sure your rings will fit soon, if not enlarge them, i had to do that to dh wedding ring - a few years ago he got his ring finger broken with a sledge hammer and needed ring enlarges 2 sizes, which was fine, he has now put on a stone or so (and looks better for it as was always slim) and now cant put ring on Hmm so will need to enlarge again

OMG & I just can?t keep up with you ladies?

Where do I start

Noway how are you feeling, any better? :(

Loublou hope your illness ends up working in your favour! Wink

Shoulders I thought your rundown of foods you?re eating was interesting, what do you tend to do for lunches/breakfasts? Well done on your weight loss too - I always think it?s harder for post pregnancy ladies, don?t ask me why they just always seem to have a tough time of it. (I have no personal experience myself).

hmc also intrigued by Jillians comments, may have to try that when my binge at wk-ends/strict in the week thing stops working! Loving the anal retentiveness as well, you get a gold star and top of the class!!! A+

CDL also desperately want to punch Davina in the face, she?s SO freakin? annoying! Angry

And Grin at your office perv comment

And I shall have to look at my tracker to see how my foods break down too?

Also welcome newbies, well done losers & long may the revolution continue!!!!

Right, can I get on with some work now??! Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 09:29

debs tbh i would prob drink as everyone else would be and would be weird being sober with tons of pissed girls on a hen do as its for a weekend

but im happy to drive and eat rather than drink if go out for normal night

seeing my friend for lunch tomorrow (after wi lol) and i shall drive and she will drink wine Grin

menu for today to try and scrape through losing a lb

b 2 weetabix and skim and a banana mashed into it 4pp
l chicken bcrumbs and veg 7pp , yog 2pp and pear
t quorn and pasta and bns (for low pp) Grin 10 pp

and 3pp for crisps :)

also got body combat tonight so tech a few extra exercise pp knocked off my weekies

i deserve to lose a lb tomorrow as im easily within my 49 (well eaten 30)

so 203 plus 30 = 233 this week instead of 252

so if i dont i shall be on the rampage again

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 09:30

looopy it will start tomorow if i dont lose a lb!!!!
