Hi All
Ive just joined SW again today as I felt that I need to get control of my weight.

I stood on the scales a it flashed up 17st 4lb. All I could say to the consultant was my bathroon scales are well out Blush

I cannot believe that I let myself go that much...

So the all the hard work starts now Grin

Hi I'm hoping I'm not too late to join in? I have the problem of practically inhaling chocolate rather than just eating it! I kept kidding myself I wasn't that big but I'm only 5"3 qnd 16st and I would love for my 6 month old son to grow up in a healthy house! Plus I just found pictures of the day I brought him home when I was 2 dress sizes smaller! I thought you were meant to lose weight after?! Anyway, my motivation spurts usually last about a week so I'm hoping chatting on here might help? I don't have the money to join any groups or the energy to cook separate meals but I plan on exercising more, not snacking, cutting down my portions and not keeping junk food in the house!

So what do you think? Room for another? (I'd say room for a little one, but that would be a blatant lie!)

Hi Emily, of course you can join us! The more the merrier! :)

Lol @ inhaling chocolate!!

NewPatchesForOld · 25/02/2011 14:40

Weigh in today and lost 3lb so am now one and a half stone lighter! Grin. I started SW on 1 Jan so am really delighted with my progress. When I got home I had a happy hour or so trying on previously too-small clothes and managed to add another dozen items to my 'to-wear-now' rail. I have 4 rails...size 20 (starting size), size 18, size 16 and a few on size 14. I'm now firmly and comfortably in size 18s with several generous 16s on there too. All my 'fat' clothes have been ceremoniously thrown out. I know I should donate them to charity but it's so therapeutic dumping them. I feel great today Grin

eden263 · 25/02/2011 15:28

Wow, Patches, well done! I think you're completely entitled to feel great! 1.5 stone in 2 months is good going! Grin

I have a lot of clothes I can't get into ATM as well, another reason to stick at it as I'm wearing the same pair of jeans almost daily (with a minging pair of jogging trousers when aforementioned jeans are in the wash!)...I could buy more, of course, but even with all the ridiculously over-priced fruit and veg I'm now eating it must be cheaper to lose weight than buy a new wardrobe!

Hey Patches, could you do me a favour, please, if you don't mind? Can you see if in your SW books it says about tofu on a green day? I can't remember if it's free or a syn. Thanks :)

ChilliKnickers · 25/02/2011 15:50

Well done done Patches. Hope my weight loss is a speedy as yours. My weigh in is tommorrow fingers crossed.

Eden Im a veggie I should be stick thin too. Maybe its all the cheese I cover everything in. Wink.

Welcome to our merry band. Emily.

Well done Patches! You're doing really well.

I love getting rid of my old clothes that no longer fit; although, unlike you, I don't have a 'thinner' wardrobe to aim to fit into again. I haven't been this size since before I met my DP....14 years ago!

I weighed this morning as will be crashing out drunk staying at a friend's house tonight and won't be at home to weigh in the morning. Only 1lb down this week but having stayed the same for 2 weeks, I'll take 1lb as a small victory.

Best of luck to those who are weighing tomorrow morning I shall check in in your progress when I sober up enough to see straight get home Wink

fivegomadindorset · 25/02/2011 19:35

Evening all, having managed to lose 6lbs by last Saturday it was followed by a 3 day drink fest with friends so some went back on, back on track now and looking forward to the wigh in tomorrow which I am going to take as my starting point.

NewPatchesForOld · 25/02/2011 20:12

Eden...what make etc is the tofu? The 'normal' tofu is free but tofu in dishes can be synned.Eg, tofu peppered cutlets are 3.5 syns.

eden263 · 25/02/2011 21:46

Ah right. I was thinking plain or smoked. Um, the brand I usually buy is 'Cauldron' if that helps?

Thanks :)

fivegomadindorset · 26/02/2011 07:25

OK my weigh in this morning I was 17.2, so that is 6lbs in two weeks which I am pleased with, a long way to go but baby footsteps.

LisaD1 · 26/02/2011 10:06

Well done on the losses everyone.

I weighed in this morning at 18.13 which is 4lb down this week, very happy with that.

ALthough it's DD1's birthday outing today and I will have to resist the pick n mix at the cinema plus pudding/birthday cake! Will get myself something nice but weight watchers to nibble at cinema.

juneybean · 26/02/2011 10:45

Haven't weighed myself yet but did some cheeky weigh ins mid week and it seemed to be going in the right direction!

NewPatchesForOld · 26/02/2011 10:57

Eden...just looked and original tofu is free, marinated is 8 syns for 150g pack and beech smoked is 0.5 syns for a 220g pack - that's cauldron brand. Hope that helps.

ChilliKnickers · 26/02/2011 11:56

Thanks, Patches, you're a star. :)

Well done ladies on the weight loss. I'm not weighing myself 'til Monday (old habits die hard!) but I did take a sneaky peek in the week and it looked good Grin

Quite pleased with myself today, though - I had a bit of stress and pissed offness this morning and anything like that always has me stuffing down the comfort food, but I restrained myself somehow!! I did think I'd just suck a chocolate chip from the baking cupboard, but went to get them and stopped myself because I know one choc chip would lead to one whole bar! I can actually manage fine without it as long as I abstain completely. But anyway, self-indulgent praise over... Wink Have a good time tonight those of you who are partying!

DaffadownDilly · 27/02/2011 15:11

I lost nada. Probably because of the sugary drug drink I've been mainlining.

Well done everybody!

eden263 · 28/02/2011 07:31

Oh Daffa, that's pants.

Now I shall sound like I'm gloating, but have lost half a stone this week. :) If only it kept coming off at that rate, eh?!

DaffadownDilly · 28/02/2011 14:53

Well done Grin

Not gloating at all, keep it up!!

eden263 · 28/02/2011 15:01

Thanks, I shall try. :) I'm amazed I've lasted a week TBH.

Though I'm a bit Confused as to why (TMI alert) although I've been drinking buckets of water and eating very little other than fruit and veg all week I've been constipated for the last 5 days...? Shouldn't that sort any bowel probs out, not cause them? .

DaffadownDilly · 28/02/2011 15:11

It could be the actual change in diet causing constipation. If I make any drastic changes, it happens. Normally it sorts itself out after a few days - could you drink some orange juice?

DaffadownDilly · 28/02/2011 15:12

Bananas can cause constipation too, if you've been eating them?

fivegomadindorset · 28/02/2011 18:23

Daffa sorry you haven't lost anything, look on the positive side that you didn't put anything on. Are you due soon as that makes a difference.

Has Chilli got lost on her way back from the 40th?

eden263 · 28/02/2011 19:11

Um, I've had a banana on quite a few days, yes. I do usually drink OJ daily, but can't on SW, you can only drink tea, coffee, squash, diet pop & water. Or have the juice instead of food which I don't want to do. Don't drink hot drinks or pop, so I have to admit to being naughty and having a glass of juice yesterday as a treat, lol!

DaffadownDilly · 01/03/2011 10:03

Yes actually five, in the next week. Does it make that much of a difference?

Maybe leave out the bananas for a couple of days and see if it helps eden? maybe sneak some more OJ Smile
