Re banana loaf - Delia likes to faff. I do not. I have never sieved the flour. I often can't be bothered to zest either the orange or the lemon. The cake is still extremely nice!

whomovedmychocolate · 05/03/2011 17:44

nevergoogle - well with all the exercise you have probably gained some muscle and lost fat which is fab! :)

Kids are driving me batty today. Took them to but an ethernet switch - oh what a joyful experience it is taking an escapologist two year old and a jaded four year old (one ran off while the other shouted 'this is so boring mummy). Yes dear, it is boring. I'm hoping to convince you not to follow mummy into the world of technology because it's fecking dullsville, UK. Hmm

Roll on 7pm, I want them to bugger off to bed.

Cat escaped went out this morning and scared me half to death by staying out for hours Hmm but has come back and then in, and out, and in, and out (repeat ad nauseum).

But my downstairs bathroom is startlingly clean and tidy!

I don't feel too bad about the weigh in tbh.
I'm fairly confident that as my energy levels improve the weight will then come off. Seems a logical order.
The weight part is only a bit of this system isn't it. I'm loving all the positivity.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 05/03/2011 18:08

Good evening :) Today was going really well, until DH bought me a bag of onion ring crisps from the shop. I ate them even though I wasnt hungry. Ah well, I know now that they are a trigger food for me, and I am going to work on making them prawny/hairy lol

Going to have hoemmade burgers for tea tonight, I am so looking forward to them! Ive even made Big Mac sauce to put on them :)

My trousers are all feeling slightler loose, but no difference in my top half yet. Its very early days though, as I have only half heartedly been doing it since the seminar, only the last 2 days have I had any determination.

How is everyone doing? Hope you all have a lovely Saturday evening x

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 05/03/2011 18:10

Oh, I did mean to talk about soup in my post! I had soup for the first time since starting this properly, and I worried that it wouldnt fill me properly as I couldnt chew it or eat it slowly. But after just a small bowl, and no bread, I was full! I used to eat 2 bowls plus lots of bread. It kept me full most of the afternoon too. So Ive been avoiding soup for ages and there was nothign to fear really at all :)

whomovedmychocolate · 05/03/2011 20:59

I love soup and have it quite often - did you see soup maths earlier in the thread? Wink

I've gone down two sizes in jeans (in about a month this is) and two sizes on my top half. My boobs have gone from a 34DD to a 32D which is such a relief TBH. And my shoe size has reduced by a half Confused - who knew I had fat feet Grin

OP posts:
nevergoogle · 06/03/2011 07:34

My feet definitely got bigger since pregnancy and subsequent weight gain.
I used to get away with a 5 and now I'm definitely a 6 or a 7 if the shoes are narrow.
Thought it was permanent so charity shopped all my nice size 5's a while back.
Shame dat. Wink

whomovedmychocolate · 06/03/2011 07:48

Well I went up to a six and a half in my first pregnancy, back to a six afterwards and am now a five or a five and a half Confused Grin

Luckily I kept a range of shoes!

And it's bliss not to have to worry if my calves will be too fat to fit in boots TBH. (Though with the aikido they may bulk up a bit anyway).

OP posts:
nevergoogle · 06/03/2011 07:54

AIBU to not go out on my bike this morning with my ladies cycling group because i have sore ears, and throat, a ton of snot and humungous glands.

or am i being pathetic?

fffffffffffffrrrrrrrrrrrrrusssssstrating!!

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 06/03/2011 07:59

WMMC you have done so well! You are indeed an inspiration on this thread :)

nevergoogle · 06/03/2011 08:01

WMMC, i agree. When did you start doing the system?

whomovedmychocolate · 06/03/2011 08:23

YANBU nevergoogle. One should not ride with any RSV - very bad for you. You will feel better in a few days and you can go then. :)

Thank you both of you for the compliments. I started a couple of weeks before the seminar. It's now become a lifestyle rather than a choice IYSWIM.

OP posts:
blinder · 06/03/2011 09:09

WMMC have you found it easy since day one? I would love to have success like that but feel I keep getting it wrong. Grrr.

arfur · 06/03/2011 11:09

Day 15 for me and the longest I can remember going without weighing myself but I HAVE LOST 6 POUNDS yippee !!!!!!!! I love Paul McKenna and I'm starting think I'm pretty fab myself actually!

UrsulaBouquet · 06/03/2011 11:18

Well done wmmc!!

I am v Envy

Although I have been feeling slightly better I am worried that I am just accepting the way I am and forgetting that I have a couple of stone to lose! DH said something last night that upset me, I'd rather he just deny that I have a weight problem but I suppose if I whine on about it then he is going to say something.

I definitely need to still work on the amount I eat, was ok yesterday but did eat half a drifter bar and about 4 oven chips that I certainly did not need.

UrsulaBouquet · 06/03/2011 11:19

Ooh wow arfur, well done! (just read that) You most certainly are fab Grin

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 06/03/2011 11:37

I love that when I come to this section of Mumsnet, this topic is top of the list Grin

Well doen Arfur! I think I am going to keep coming back here more regulalry than I have, as these sucess stories are really boosting me.

nevergoogle · 06/03/2011 12:24

Good jaaawwwbbbbbb! woop woop arfur. Grin

BsshBossh · 06/03/2011 13:37

Great losses WMMC and arfur - inspirational!

whomovedmychocolate · 06/03/2011 15:26

arfur well done you! :)

Blinder - no it has absolutely not been a 'from day one' thing the first couple of weeks were really hard and then it clicked. Hopefully it will for you all too.

OP posts:
HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 06/03/2011 15:32

Ive been trying to do it since the seminar, but like I say I struggled with being on holiday/eating at other peopels houses/my birthday. Today though, it has really seemed natural though. I love this feeling of letting my body rule food instead of food ruling me! I hope today is my "click" WMMC :)

I have a slow roast chicken in the oven, but it wont be ready til well after 5pm, so I am enjoying 2 oatcakes with duck pate & homemade chutney - and the flavours are divine! I was quite hungry, so I am eating them slowly. Having a 2 minute break to type this :D

BsshBossh · 06/03/2011 15:42

Roast chicken for dinner tonight for us too. DH is now making oat and raisin cookies with DD so am resisting snacking so I can enjoy a couple with coffee in an hour. I love having the control to wait for something because the wait is worth it. Never would have done this a month ago.

shrinkingnora · 06/03/2011 16:02

I have been pretty good today. Actually put a flapjack on the tray when out with the family this morning and then thought 'how did that get there?' and put it back. Definitely more aware on average. There has been no definite click this time but a gradual overall change that feels very sustainable. I have just enjoyed half a slice of bara brith, and I definitely ate less than I normally would round at my parents at lunch time.

VJay · 06/03/2011 16:13

Not been here for a week as I've been in hospital with a poorly ds2, thankfully he's all better now, but I've gained a lb as I just ate and ate.

Right I'm going to try and read what I've missed as I need inspiring! and a kick up the arse to get going again Grin

BsshBossh · 06/03/2011 16:16

VJay, hope your DS is on the mend now? Hey, 1 lb is not much you know?! Remember PMK's example of a plane constantly adjusting its course on a flight...
