Evening Weight Loss Losers! Long post alert [grin}

vnmum - loving the photos - WOW WOW WOW is all I can say - you look unrecognisable - and I can see myself in your 'before' photo - I so want your 'after' one!!

I have given myself a slap after an appalling week last week and dusted myself down to start afresh tomorrow! Not sure what went wrong last week but suffice to say my tracker is empty - a sure sign of not eating correctly Grin

So, I decided to ditch the class I go to as it is coting a fortune and is only an express class - the robbin so and so's still charge you the full price and all you get is the WI and a five second chat with the leader as she does your paperwork. It was ok when it was a 10 min walk or 5 min car ride from the office but since we moved it is a 30 min round trip and then I still have to eat my lunch - so it costs me flexi time and 5 miles petrol money! So off to Quidco to see if I can get the deal some one mentioned a few weeks ago and then will WI at the gym where they have scales that are 50p and you get a print out - I will give it a month and see if it works. Otherwise I will have to try and find another class or go for my mothers option - she will weigh me weekly Blush - she means well but last resort! Although I could pay her £3 a week and then have a splurge when get to goal!

androbbob · 15/02/2011 20:41

EASTER CHALLENGE!!!!

Anyway - I have a plan Grin. In the temporary absence of norma and in recognition of the stirling work by blondes as our lead support, I am proposing a 10 week challenge - which will take us nicely to Easter!

By the way, since Janary we have lost a total of 203 lbs which is 14 stones and 7.5lbs!

So our challenge is to lose our Easter Egg shapes and I am offering up incentives - one to our long serving thread members (we all know who we are!) and another one for the newer members (because they seem to lose alot in their first few weeks - we cant remember that far back!}. So the challenge is the first to lose 10lbs!

So the spreadsheet has a new shiney page and off we go from Monday 14th Feb!

I have a mini prize for all those who get to the 10lb goal by Easter (as long as you are willing to send me your address at Easter!)

So what are you weighting for - get tracking and losing!! Wine

androbbob · 15/02/2011 20:52

Well done littlefish and the other losers from Mon and Tues - all weights in the new spreadsheet - we are upto 9lbs loss this week already and there are stil loads of days left! happy days!!

sweetheart · 15/02/2011 21:07

Little evening catch up for me, I have wet nails so please exuse the rubbish typing!

Milk, I don't count my milk in tea but I would count it if I had cereal, I use semi skimmed. I also don't count oil if it's only a splash in the pan to fry something off.

hmc I have a light simulator alarm clock thing. My sister brought it for me for xmas and I think it has made a real difference to how I wake up in the morning and how I feel.

welcome jojo

blondes, we'll all find that we have weeks where we can't avoid eating out. The best you can do is keep it under control as much as you can to limit the damage. It's crap though isn't it, I feel your frustration! Can you fit in any exercise to gain some extra points?

Littlefish - woohoo, well done mate!

andro - my family used to run their own little ww club. They each used to put money in a pot to WI and then on a set date they had a meal out as a treat (I think, they may have spent it on something else)

Nice to have a little challange - 10Ibs is pretty much all I have to loose, was hoping to have done it by March for my big birthday bt it's not looking likely.

Has anyone else been really hungry this week? I feel like I'm constantly thinking abuot food this week. Still Wi tomorrow, I'll have a little pig out to tide myself over and then get straight back on track Thursday. I think this week has been my worst yet - will find out tomorrow!

froot · 15/02/2011 21:11

blondes I may be too late but zizzi calamari is 13 pp aubergine parmigiana is 15 pp linguini gamberi 16 Pp seabass 13 pp rigatoni pollo fungi 14 pp

vnmum wow !!! Welldone I hope they pick you for the magazine

I dont count milk because I also don't count activity points - I do 30 mins on treadmill (intervals) 3 x per week and shred 3 x per week

Monday weigh in works for me it stops me being a total pig on a Sunday ( as well as fri/ sat!! ) but missed weigh in this week but think maybe 1 lb off tho wine and choc yesterday has probably cancelled that out !

Oatbran is nice brekky soak overnight in skim milk then cook in microwave 40 g is 6 pp ( not counting milk) and is a big creamy bowlful I put splenda on it . Also turkey bacon is mega low nice cooked chopped and stirred into scrambled eggs or butty with ww bread.

sweetheart · 15/02/2011 21:21

ahhh frott - that is true, I don't eat my activity points either

wizzler · 15/02/2011 21:57

Back from WI and lost 0.5 lb. Quite Sad because all week on my scales at home I had lost 2, then today they went back up again. (Wizzler humbly awaits well deserved flaming for getting weighed every day)
On the bright side, I am now below 12stone for the first time in 18 months, hurrah!

Vnmum.. Amazing photos, Your hair looks fantastic, no wonder you are so thrilled !

HHY : Drop the d for a whole mnth, that'll show him

Well done to all the other losers.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 15/02/2011 22:43

Hi everyone, I've got my wi tomorrow morning, hoping to get my first stone. I've only got to drop half a pound so hopefully should get it.

I've been having pink grapefruit for breakfast recently, really nice as in season at the mo. Otherwise I have a crumpet with Philadelphia, sometimes 2. Yum. I count milk in coffee/tea. I measured it once and was surprised how much you use in a day. I have also started to drink it black If no skimmed available, am getting quite used to it! I also count oil for the pan, as our leader did a thing about it the other week.

Androbob, great idea on the mini challenge!

hmc · 15/02/2011 23:09

It is good to hear it works Sweetheart - thanks for that Smile

Androbob - I think having your mum weigh you and paying her £3 per week is a great idea if she then retains the money and rewards you with it as a lump sum when you reach a target, brilliant idea. Easter challenge sounds cool - which group am I in? - am I a longer term member or a newbie? (joined beginning of November?)

Can you guys help me decide on something? (I can't think my way out of a paper bag atm) - I can't make my usual class tomorrow evening so shall I (a) just not officially weigh this week and wait until next or (b) attend a morning weigh in at a different class instead (9.30 tomorrow in a town 7 miles away).

If I do (a) and don't go at all this week I can use the time productively in the gym instead...however without an official weigh in for 1 week I may slack a bit...however if I do (b) and go to the alternative class, I won't have the time to work out tomorrow, and I might weigh differently in the morning to my usual evening weigh in with potentially demoralising results?...however I am more likely to focus on the next weeks weight loss...

I dunno ....

hmc · 15/02/2011 23:11

(could be over thinking this - thank God I don't have real problems Blush)

hmc · 15/02/2011 23:12

wizzler - half a pound although not top banana, is still half a pound. Well done! If we all lost just half a pound every week we would be 2 stone lighter in a year (and reality is you generally lose more than that)

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 16/02/2011 07:09

Just popping in quickly to say a quick Shock at how much we have lost altogether, that really is absolutely amazing, as are VNMum's photos. All are highly motivating.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2011 07:32

androbbob i do ww at home alone, i REFUSE to pay someone to weigh me, im getting to grips with the ww pp now (after doing old one and knew it sooooooooo well) and generally if i dont know anything then i ask on here or go and read the ww boards and usually find the answer - tbh its the support on this thread and another one i joined last year that help ,so give it a try going solo - its all about will power and rem its only you that you are conning/lieing to if you forget to track something/lie about weight etc - if nyou cant do it then yes pay your mum and then grab the cash and buy new clothes

i LOVE your new bribe Grin tho i only need to lose 7 lbs so does that mean im not in it :(

sweetheart 3 times this week :( but yes i have had lots of sexercise Grinas well as been to gym twice - didnt manage 3rd time coz was up in a&e with dh :( - who btw is still bleeding :( but only little ones and hospital say there is nothing they can do :( - good luck with wi today

froot thanks, going tonight,im going to have calamari as seems lowest in pp in stuff i like, normally go for the cheese/garlic bread and thats 21 - theres lots of yummy things on new menu but if i cant find the pp then going to be boring safe and choose pasta with tom sauce - and i never eat my activity pp as cant use them on the calculator,so sometimes i will have some crisps and not count them iyswim

wizzler well done on loss,it maybe small but still a loss and slaps her through lappy - only weigh once a week and on same scales, or at least weigh at ww then come home and imm weigh on home scales so you can tell if they are the same

hhy did you show list and what did dh say?

shoulders good luck with wi today and hope you get your stone

hmc i find that i weigh 3 lbs heavier in evening ..........

wynken waves

blondes charges to work and will be o pp soup all day so can eat tonight :)

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 16/02/2011 07:57

Blondes / hmc I weigh 6-7lbs heavier in the evening, and 4-6lbs heavier when it's my TOTMShock

DuplicitousBitch · 16/02/2011 08:49

androbob great challenge.i seem to be on a 1lb a week roll so hopefully i can manage it.
vnmum you look fabulous!

hmc · 16/02/2011 08:56

Thanks BigTilly and Blondes - that's decided me. As tempting as it sounds to weigh this morning and get a bonanza 4lb weight loss I guess that wouldn't be 'real', and when I go back to evening class next week I'd get a nasty shock when the weight readjusts! So am going to just weigh myself at home this evening and attend my usual class next week - decision made!

You've only got 7lbs to go until goal weight Blondes? - wow, almost in your grasp

LeeWT · 16/02/2011 09:48

Hellooooooo all!!

Sorry I haven't been around.. After putting on a lb at WI last week I felt so disheartened and between that and the sleep deprivation (ds up 8-10 times a night) was feeling a bit miserable..

Some of you asked if I had any inklings why I put on despite keeping within points.. I reckon it could be me
guesstimating some things so I ordered a gorgeous brushed steel set of kitchen scale from amazon for only £8!

Also, dh acknowledged that I am having a really rough time so went to my fave (and bit expensive) gym and paid me up for the year so I would have time to myself.

That said ive spent all the activity points but still have 32 of my weeklies..

Did a combat class (which is 14pp according to tracker) and a zumba class (I calc 5 a it seems medium level as not at all as hard as combat) and I'm working myself up to spin!

I think even tho I'll only get there twice a week it will be very useful for getting time out and helping weightloss..

Can't namecheck as on iPhone but..

Welcome to newbies
loving the challenge anddrob
well done being so near to goal blondes
wow at pics vnmum what an inspiration for us all
Norma hope everything ok.. Seems strange u not being here!

Sorry so hard to remember everyone else after catching up on over two hundred posts!!!

Will update after WI today x

HighHeidYin · 16/02/2011 10:20

Just dashing in as taking the girls to swimming so will post individual responses this afternoon.

Wanted to tell you that I lost another 2lbs in WI last night!! Grin Grin

Only 1/2lb off first stone and have lost 20cm in total in measurements Shock

Loving ww

bbl!

vnmum · 16/02/2011 10:28

Thanks again for the compliments everyone.
shiney the chorizo lasagne recipe is on our previous thread somewhere or you can google WW chorizo lasagne and i think it comes up.

Blondes do you only have 7lbs to get to goal? fab, give it that last push and then you too can be posting before and after pics.

Lee thats very kind of your DH, a thoughtful gift

Goodluck to any people WI today.

androbbob if you do feel you need to go to group there is an evening one in the place that ends in "skirk" just down the road from you (vnmum doesn't want to give too much away as to where androbbob lives, lol) i think it is on weds at 6.30pm

I think i will show a sts this week, technically i think i might have lost 1lb but i am going to wear my jeans to group rather than my light combats that are way too big so i know my jeans will make me appear heavier on their scales. It will be my last week with my current group as i move house on tuesday.

Anyway, back to the frantic packing i go

vnmum · 16/02/2011 10:29

well done high

oldandknackered · 16/02/2011 10:35

Can I join in, please?

Monday was my third weekly weigh-in at WW - and I've lost 2.5lbs each week!

I took a peek at vnmum's before and after pix. What an inspiration! Stunning!

Oh, and thanks for the chorizo lasagne recipe. Delicious!

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2011 10:51

bigtilly you weight 7lbs more in eve Shock ouch

hmc prob wise to weigh at home but then again if scales are the same as ww ones and yes 7 lbs to go to get back to pre diet/happy weight BUT my ultimate goal is to get back into my trousers and they still dont do up :( so need to do major toning and once back at 11 stone i may have to try and drop another 7lbs to tone up, but i cant stay at 10/7 iyswim

leewt dont be disheartened (hug) its hard dieting when all is good in the world let alone when kkids ill etc - fab dh paid for the gym and i LOVE body combat and do it 2/3times a week along with boxercise but wow at 14pp - i work very hard at bc and that means i have 28-42 exercise pp a week - which i NEVER eat - so i should be a skinny minny lol - def measure, you will be shocked dismayed how small 40g cereal or 60g pasta is :(

i usually say weigh out what you would call a normal porrtion, then weigh it - but you will be omg Shock

hhy fab - well done on 2 lbs loss

vnmum im shy lol - but may post a pic, once i get to goal back into my trousers :) - hope moving goes well

oldandknackered welcome, thats over 7lbs so far, well done
