STEPPING IN FOR NORMA

Welcome one and all to our 4th thread

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place! :)

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! ) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag,Grin all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. !

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in - pour yourself a Wine or Brew and make yourself at home :)

Well that is certainly a cliff hanger HHY

Happy hols NoWay (lovely post)

Well done Sparkle, abgirl and going on your losses this week, and keep the faith littlefriendsusan and Bigtilly - a week of sts is a disappointment but is often followed by a good loss the very next week.

Bluebump - you must try harder! (sorry to be stern but you did ask for a kick up the arse and I was hoping the school ma'am tone might do it)

Can't make my usual class for weigh in tomorrow due to school piano recital so was wondering about going to a different class. How does that work, do I just shlep up without prior announcement or do I have to contact the leader of that particular class to say I will be gatecrashing?

Feeling a bit bleurgh and demotivated today - think I am suffering a touch of the SADS, can't wait until Spring has sprung!

Willabywallaby · 15/02/2011 11:52

I was thinking of going to another class next week, we'll be staying with the ILs, I was just going to pitch up, get weighed and leave.

HighHeidYin · 15/02/2011 12:21

sparkle going and abgirl yaaaaay well done on fab losses! Grin

Sorry to rant and run earlier, just needed to blow off some steam before getting into the car... VERY LONG POST DISCLAIMER!

Was nothing major, just everything getting on top of me atm - working almost f-t, got 2 kids meant to be getting HE'd and trying to do ALL the shopping/cooking/housework whilst trying to fit in exercise too. All came to a head when dh ironed his shirt this morning (that's the one job he does do) and shoved the ironing board in the cupboard, over the door so that I couldn't get in... There is a spot behind the door for the ironing board which is where he gets it from, but he is incapable of putting it back there. So who has to do it every day? Yep me. So had a go at him this morning, in between trying to race about like a loony to get ready for work. His reponse was to roll his eyes and say 'nag, nag, nag'. I basically blew a fuse. Sick of having to do it all.

So wrote a list of what I did before getting to work this morning and what I will have to do after, and what HE does...

This is what it looks like:

DH
Has breakfast
Irons shirt (but doesn't put board back)
Has shower
Drives to work
Works all day
Drives home
Goes on computer
Eats dinner
Collects dd2 from dancing
Watches telly
Bed

HIGHHEIDYIN

Scrubs cooker (left from night before)
Washes out slow cooker (left from night before)
Cleans cupboard doors
Tidies bedroom
Makes bed
Hangs up my and dh's clothes
Tidies bathroom
Takes washing down
Puts away ironing board that hasn?t been stored properly
Takes washing out of machine
Puts new load on
Hangs up wet washing
Tidies living room
Feeds fish
Makes sure guineas fed
Makes sure kids are fed and clothed
Send kids to tidy room
Hoovers
Puts out bin bags
Makes up lunch for kids
Makes up cup bags for work
Has breakfast
Gets dressed
No time for shower
Phones to arrange childcare
Loads all bags in car
Drive's to mum's
Drops kids off at mum's
Drives to work
Works all day
Drives to shops
Does shopping
Drives to pick up kids
Drives to post office
Drives home
Makes dinner
Eats dinner
Tidies up after dinner
Cleans kitchen
Emtpies second load of washing
Loads dishwasher
Tidies up house again
Drives to drop dd2 at dancing
Dashes to ww meeting
Bed

DOES THAT SEEM LIKE A BALANCE OF DUTIES TO YOU??? Angry Still seething about being told I nag...

HighHeidYin · 15/02/2011 12:22

That qualifies for the longest post in the world ever Blush

vnmum · 15/02/2011 12:32

hi all,

Welcome to shiny
Well done sparkle on your first stone, you must be pleased at the milestone. Well done to other losers aswell (sorry can't remmber all as just a quick post before taking DD to nursery

Blondes i don't know if or when i will be in magazine, i have to take my success story into my meeting on thursday and then leader sends it off and WW contacts me if and when they want to.

Ok, all,

I have been very brave and posted a before and after photo on my profile. I have also but before and after face shots to show my new hair.

sweetheart · 15/02/2011 12:35

High - I feel your frustrations as i work full time with 2 dc's and whilst my dh is quite good at helping out I still feel like an awful lot fall's into the "my job" catagory! Have you shown him the list? Perhaps you should simply stop doing it all for a while and see what happens. I'm pretty sure he'd notice the build up PDQ!

hugs and massive sympathy - here have a Brew and put your feet up Grin

sweetheart · 15/02/2011 12:37

Shock vnmum you look A MAZE ING ! ! ! Very brave woman!

LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair!

hmc · 15/02/2011 12:39

HHY - blimey, he needs a good talking to!!! I hope when you show him the list it speaks for itself and encourages him to do more

Fab photos vnmum - you've lost so much weight and the new hair cut is very flattering

Furball · 15/02/2011 13:16

WOW vnmum - you look amazing!!

Willabywallaby · 15/02/2011 13:20

Hair looks great vnmum and your weight loss it brilliant, well done you!

bluebump · 15/02/2011 13:31

Thanks for the kicks up the bum Grin I weighed again out of interest this morning and the 3lbs are gone just 24 hours later Hmm I'm still going to be good this week.

Love the hair vnmum!

HighHeidYin · 15/02/2011 13:43

vnmum WOOOOOW! You look amazing and LOVE your new hairstyle! What an inspiration!

willaby I would go get weighed if I were you. If I didn't I would get it into my head that I had a whole week before next wi which would give me 'permission' to go off on one food wise!

sweetheart yeah I am considering going on strike. Can't stand the house being a mess though so it would probably annoy me more than him Hmm

hmc Have shown him the list but he just tried to make light of it all by trying to snog me instead (which is the LAST thing I feel like doing to him) Hmm Hmm

Have calmed down now. Perhaps all the stress will have a positive influence on wi tonight

Thanks for letting me rant Smile

I have finally opened my Shred dvd and started it today - went OK but am sure body will have seized up by tomorrow!! do people usually do it every day, or a few days apart?

am also following some advice from the last tthread, I think from androbob to look again at what I'm eating, and am trying some new things for breakfasts and lunches to try to get the weight loss going again. fingers crossed.

www.myfitnesspal.com/nutrition-facts-calories/zizzi

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/02/2011 14:32

iheartiona thanks for link but doesnt have fibre so cant work it out :(

what new things are you trying to eat?

eggs for breakfast being protein do seem to keep fuller for longer than cereal or toast

OP posts:
IHeartIona · 15/02/2011 14:40

sorry, forgot to check that!

can you put zero for fibre, that was what my leader said to do if it wasn't stated.

had a boiled egg with ww toast this morning, did feel nice and full. made celeriac and carrot 0pp soup for lunch, also v tasty.

gotta go now, dd waking up!

sparkle101 · 15/02/2011 14:41

vnmum OMG your pictures are amazing, I love love love the new haircut (and may nick it when I get down to goal) well done you, you're a real inspiration.

So I spoke to my leader yesterday about 3 egg omlettes and she said 2pp per egg, fair enough, but also suggested 2 whole eggs (minus shell obv!) and one egg white = 4pp as one egg white is 0 points, 2 is 1pp. Could I find medium sized eggs at my local co-op or M & S today? Could i eck!

Bought a packet of salt and vinegar baked crisps from M & S today and nutritional info says 1pp. Going to double check as i know there has been some issues with their stuff but if that is 1 I am going to buy them all.

HHY He wants a nag, put him on here, he'll bloody well get one!!!!! In a few months I am back to work after maternity and feel like your post will soon be written by me but fingers crossed.

Well done on the loss mumto 17lb is excellent!

blubump was going to kick you up the bum but can't now..... keep on track and it will come!

sparkle101 · 15/02/2011 15:13

Oh Sad M & S crisps are 2pp. Still not bad though really!

sweetheart · 15/02/2011 15:24

ohhhh yes I feel like hsaking up my food a bit too. I have eaten the same thing for brekfast and lunch now for about 5 weeks and I'm getting a bit sick of it.

Can we have a brainstorm of some new brekkfast and lunch ideas?

If anyone wants to steal mine I have fruit (usually melon and grape or banana or fuit salad) for brekfast with a cup of tea and a ww yog = 2pp

lunch is 4x ryvita crackerbreads with a pot of philli light and 4 slices of ham = 4pp I usually have fruit or carrot sticks too so it bulks out a bit.

Afternoon snack is a 2 or 3pp ww cereal bar or peanut bar.

I'm possibly thinking I wouldn't need the afternoon snack if my brekfast or lunch was more substantial.

I'm yet to try my microwave omlett maker as if I'm honest I'm a bit scared it will muck up my daily points routine! Blush

Willabywallaby · 15/02/2011 15:37

Having chorizo lasagne left overs (I froze it) but can't remember how many points per serving. Can check at home but wanted to add it now so I can see how many I'll have left!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/02/2011 15:53

sparkle 2pp is good for crisps - my monster munch are 3pp

willa think 10/12 but dont quote me lol
