Wizzler - I think you could be onto something!

The first 2 weeks, I used almost all my weeklies at the week-end (when I'm naughtiest) then had 29 points daily Monday-Friday. Because I weigh in on a Saturday, I think my body has the time to burn off all the extra points by the time I get to weigh-in. The last 2 weeks I have spread out my weeklies and lost less....

You might just be a genius Grin

LoopyLa · 14/03/2011 12:09

And following on from hmc - own gym??!! Also Envy !!!

I have a Wii at home and wondered what the best exercises, games, activities were for toning/promote weight loss. WE NEVER use ours Blush but I think it could be a great tool for me while I'm doing this. I would really APPRECIATE & NEED some recommendations from everyone on what they enjoy on the Wii for exercise?

FYI - I really hate jogging, just find it mega boring so anything but that I will give a go!

hmc · 14/03/2011 13:02

Loopyla - if you have a little bit of space in front of tv I would use exercise dvds rather than the Wii. I have Davina Fit, Davina Body Buff, 30 day Shred, Nadhia Sawahla and Hannah Waterman's Dvds (I like variety - counteracts potential boredom) - all of which I would recommend, and all of which can be done in living room/ kitchen as the exercises don't require you to 'travel' too much iyswim.

If you do want to use the wii though then boxing is quite knackering and so is Wii dance tbh!

Am feeling a bit despondent atm as have done something to my shoulders - they are pain free but very clicky and feel unstable. I think it might be something to do with resistance training... so I can't do some of my exercise routines Sad. Doctors appointment on Friday

hmc · 14/03/2011 13:03

Picture of my gym is on profile btw - although I am not rubbing it in! Just really made up with it and feel very, very lucky to have it (it has been equipped and in use since November)....

Willabywallaby · 14/03/2011 13:32

Nice gym hmc......

bigTillyMint · 14/03/2011 13:58

hmc Wow! What a lovely gym Envy I can see how you are able to exercise 6 days out of 7 (but what about the 7th day?Hmm!

WI tonight, and I think I have eaten about 20 of my weeklies, but I haven't tracked as carefully as I shouldBlush Hoping to sts as I had a bigger than expected loss last week!

bigTillyMint · 14/03/2011 14:00

NowayGrin that's what I comforted myself with. Plus DH was apparently just like him and he is wonderful now

NoWayNoHow · 14/03/2011 14:40

hmc my gratitude to you for your support is tempering my Envy at the home gym Grin

I also whole-heartedly recommend Davina Fit - so easy to do in your living room, and I swear the results (especially tummy results) were majorly obvious in less than one week of doing it three times a week.

I swear blind by that exercise DVD - it's the only one I've found that (a) doesn't patronise, and (b) really really works.

I've also found that the yoga stretch at the end helped with my slipped disc enormously, as well as just help straighten and strenghten my body - felt like I was walking taller!

Need to get back into it in time for wedding in May...

Oh, may I recommend that NO-ONE EVER GO TO KAREN MILLEN if you can't afford to buy at Karen Millen. Leaving there empty-handed having tried on the most beautiful dresses for weddings ever and helped by the friendliest sales assistants ever is bad for one's happiness levels...

mrskbpw · 14/03/2011 15:21

Hello hello

Can I join you? I have just reactivated my WW account. I lost 3st last year (post baby), (was 1st 4lb away from target) then the launch of ProPoints coincided with me going back to work and not being able to go to meetings and I fell off the wagon. Have put on 11lbs and am desperate to lose that and the extra and get to goal this time.

Am slightly flummoxed by ProPoints as I have WW scales and recipe books etc etc that are all out of date now. GRRR. But still determined to succeed - with your help!

I'd really like to shift that 11lbs before my husband and I have a posh night out on April 23rd. At least then I might be able to fit in some of my clothes!

I haven't read through all 36 pages of this thread -sorry! How much have you all lost so far/how much do you want to lose?

NoWayNoHow · 14/03/2011 15:32

Hello mrs and welcome!

Don't worry, ProPoints (PP) can be a bit flumoxing for those of us who were used to the "old ways", but you'll soon get the hang of it. I'm a (sort of) newbie, and everyone on here is so supportive and great.

For me, personally, I was about 2 stone heavier at the beginning of 2009, and I lost all of that and a bit more by Feb 2010 with the old PP method.

In the second half of the year, though, I got a little lax, and by Jan this year I'd put 11lbs back on. Since starting PP in the second week of Jan, I've lost 8lbs, and would like to lose another 7lbs to get me to 10% goal (as taken from starting weight this year).

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2011 15:53

tilly good luck with wi tonight

hmc how cute is your fluffy woofa Envy!!!!!!!! and also a small Envy at your gym

mrs welcome :)

OP posts:
hmc · 14/03/2011 16:00

You've got a gorgeous woofa of your own Blondes Grin...did you notice the little brown thing curled up next to big woofa on the bottom photo, that is actually another dog - a teeny daschund terrier cross. Oh how many times have people exclaimed - 'oh look, Little and Large!'

Just to make you all feel better - all that exercise does appear to have given me a sports injury!!

Welcome mrs and good on you coming back to WW before you had gained all the 3 stones you had lost. You should the 11lbs in no time!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2011 16:11

luckily woofa is part time Grin no i didnt see other small woofa, bless them :)

what injury have you done?

OP posts:
hmc · 14/03/2011 16:41

Inflammation of shoulder joint and rotator cuff I think (self diagnosis on t'internet) - docs appointment at end of the week

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2011 17:10

ouch :(

'passes through iphone some homemade parnsip and apple soup 2pp per bowl'

OP posts:
LoopyLa · 14/03/2011 19:06

hmc I'll be very interested as to what your docs say. I've had a stiff shoulder for around 2 years now and only now got round to applying for Physio Blush. It kind of just happened and some days is much sorer than others (can't take my tops off sometimes & Mr Loopy has to assist!) but I've decided enough is enough now!

hmc · 14/03/2011 19:46

Oh you must get that sorted Loopyla! - that sort of stiffness in one of your tender years; you shouldn't have to live with that. Will let you know what doc says

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2011 19:51

130g salmon is 6pp - and thats tiny :(

so 22g = 1pp

having 200g of salmon for 9pp and lots of veggies for tea

whats every one else having

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 14/03/2011 20:10

Back from WI - sts, which I expected as I seemed to lose alot last week, and I am at goal.

I think I probably had maybe 20 weeklies left, but as I didn't track well.... spread over the week rather than in a binge!

NoWayNoHow · 14/03/2011 20:15

btm at least it's not a gain!

blondes, I had chorizo and yellow pepper pasta (9PP) - based on a WW recipe, but I substituted dull old low fat sausage with chorizo. Much yummier, and one of DH's favourites, which always makes my life easier Grin

Willabywallaby · 14/03/2011 20:25

I had bacon wrapped chicken with butternut squash and shallots WW recipe. And big glass of wine since had points, and to finish up weeklies choc brownie WW dessert, not eaten it yet but hoping it's worth 4pp.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 14/03/2011 20:31

I had a wafer thin chicken omelette for 6pp with salad. Was out for lunch so reining in the points at teatime!

Blondes, I pretty much don't eat any weeklies every week. I like knowing they are there for safety if I need them. Not had much in the way of social occasions recently so haven't been tempted!
