Ha jumped on scales this morning am 1.6 kgs lighter than same time yesterday
Water I expect!
Cool so a challenging w/e ahead. Takeaway at PIL tonight prob Chinese so chicken and veg and boiled rice
Will try and shun booze.
Crufts tomorrow so crap food. Will source out a plain salad and water
Will get in some extra walking today too
Hoping to keep to todays weight over w/e

ClaireDeLoon · 11/03/2011 08:30

On the plus side Piffle you'll probably end up walking loads at Crufts too. I have a WW pedometer and the simple act of going shopping racks up the miles. We had a hospital appointment in London a few weeks ago and I ended up walking something crazy like 7 miles that day!

NoWayNoHow · 11/03/2011 08:53

Hey hey

WARNING: WW recipe for Veggie Pasta Wedge is dull. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!

On another note - hello athrawes in NZ - although you're possibly asleep already? a lb a week (0.5kg) is a "steady" weight loss, although I really wouldn't stick to 29 if you're BF - you'll be starving! Maybe find a happy medium between 29 and 43?

JoJo, it's amazing how quickly things turn around if you stick to it. Keep going!

piffle enjoy Crufts

debs so sorry to hear about your car Sad Same thing happened to me in Cape Town (the S Easter there is hurricane strength!). Thankfully door dented in the same place as a dent already there, so the car rental place didn't pick it up - must have happened to some other poor soul too!

Piffle · 11/03/2011 09:14

I'll be sitting watching breed judging, holding friends dog as not showing this year. Will walk the shops and the carpark walk is hefty!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2011 09:37

willa ouch at 12pp for pasta meal

Athrawes welcome - you MUST eat all your daily alloted pp, esp if bf or you will not lose, plus chance of fainting/not producing enough milk

jojo glad you have seemed to have lost 5 lbs, but rem weight goes up and down during the week, so true loss/gain will be on tue, so hopefully a loss lol

sorry to piss on your bonfire x

piffle again same telling off advice as jojo, only weight once a week, or you will get disheartened - though enjoy chinese, yummy :)

enjoy crufts

Well done Jojo an excellent loss!

Bad luck on the car Debs - so frustrating.

Blondes - all that bubbly you have in the house, would it help to stick it somewhere a bit inaccessible where it is a faff to get to it? - like the loft f'ristance?

Grin - thanks Noway for the warning to avoid the veggie pasta bake.

Well today I am off to lunch at a friends house in about an hour, but not too worried as it will be a buffet style scenario with various options, so I can pick the salad if I need to

Also weighed myself at home this morning (sorry Blondes ...hangs head shamefacedly) and I weigh 2lb less than I did on my Wednesday evening official weigh in, so it already bodes well for next week.

Had most excellent smoothie this morning: a double expresso, large banana, 100mls of milk and 3 ice cubes. Will be having that again!

Just a quick question for those who do Shred or something similar - what with all the upper body strength exercises, I have recently found my shoulder joints to be a bit clicky (not explaining that well) - absolutely no pain involved, but can feel more movement in the joint than I am accustomed to and can sometimes hear the joint move. Was wondering whether I should be concerned?

hmc · 11/03/2011 11:38

Forgot to post my suggestion for a low point suprisingly satisfying lunch (had it yesterday):

1 small pot of reduced fat houmous (got mine from Waitrose, they come in packs of 3 weighing I think 58g each) = 3pp, with babycorn, cucumber, celery, carrot and pepper crudites++ for 0pp

Followed by Banana and strawberry smoothie; 1 banana, generous handful of strawbs and small 200ml pot of natural yogurt = 2pp

So whole lot for 5pp

debs39 · 11/03/2011 12:21

Still awaiting cost £££££££ of damage to the other bloke's car...mine is dent free....am trying to just write it off as £££££ gone but q upsetting really....made worse by fact that as I don't do a class I weigh in at home and after this morning's weigh in I could have one of 8 different weights...the scales must be broken as kept hopping on and off and getting different readings...can I just choose the lowest as at least I lost on that rather than STS on highest reading??? After 3 really strict wks...( ahem taking into account cracker bread, martini and choc mousse sessions...these came from weeklies!!) if I don't shift some weight I may resort to eating my own arm...surely then i will lose weight!!! :)

steamed veg for lunch...again....then off to spend more £££ on new scales!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2011 12:50

i lost a 1 lb which im thrilled about :)

i ate half of my weekies

maybe when we say we lost/gained/sts we can add how many weekies we ate

if i eat them all ie 49 i will sts or gain - so tbh im a bit pissed off that ww say you can eat all and lose weight, some people can, but i cant :(

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2011 12:52

hmc alas bubbly is under the stairs, but generally dont drink it

sounds a yummy low pp lunch - though 50g of low fat humous is 2pp from somerfield/coop, thus saving a point Grin

debs sounds like battery is going, so try new one and :( about the car

OP posts:
Piffle · 11/03/2011 13:10

I only weighed today as it's weigh in day :) only weighed yesterday as had to weigh the dog ( on new medication) which involves weighing me, weighing me and her, then finding the difference!

Baked lemon drizzle cake ffs for PIL to thank them for having the kids this weekend... 10 points a slice. I had a wafer thin sliver only!
Done 6 activity points today already!
Porridge breakfast 5pp
Soup pita lunch again 6pp
Snack pineapple again
Dinner the best choice of whatever takeaway PIL choose!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2011 13:18

piffle will let you off then Grin

what a hassle how to weigh woofa, can you weigh at vets etc?

assuming small woofa, no way i could pick up horse our 10.5 stone hound :)

lemon cake sounds yummy, but ouch at 10pp per slice Shock

OP posts:
Piffle · 11/03/2011 14:07

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2011 14:46

Good afternoon ladies,

Am after a bit of a motivate. So last saturday I went a bit bonkers (fully planned as wanted to enjoy myself and so knew it was going to happen) but since then (and the 1.5lb gain) I cannot get back on it. For some reason my head has gone back to the "if no one sees me eating it it doesn't count" or "well I've been good for my meals so I can have this snack" (usually 5pp +) why oh why can I not get back in my groove? I even shunned aqua aerobics this week as just couldn't be arsed.

If anyone has seen my motivation please can you give it back please!

Welcome to all the new people, hope you're all getting on well, and enjoying the plan!

JoJoBaldwin · 11/03/2011 17:11

lol blondes, I consider myself chastened. You are quite right of course, it's just that being "good" for 3 or 4 days straight is so unusual for me I have an urge to weigh while the going is good. Wink Congrats on your loss!

sparkle I'm sure you'll find your mojo again. I'm too much of a newbie to offer any real words of wisdom but I'll be watching avidly to find out ways of getting out of the slump.

For me last week I needed to shake myself up after the mega-gain and all I could think about was how long I have been feeling rubbish and self-conscious about my weight/looks and that this time I have to just keep on going even if I do have a setback from time to time. Because this is going to be the LAST TIME I ever go on a diet and I'm damn well not going to waste any more of my life having a weight hangup. I'm going to sort it and be happy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2011 17:12

blonde wonders about calling

'motivation where are you'

found it, grabs it and gives back to sparkle

right young lady, you had a fun time, but now its back to the drawing board (so to speak)

do i need to kick your butt? i do body combat and boxercise you know!!!!

you have done so well, but if you dont stop nibbling, you will be gaining all the weight and hate yourself

everyone needs a treat, so eat your daily pp then treat your self out of your 49 at the end of the day

OP posts:
wizzler · 11/03/2011 17:45

Well done JoJo.. I knew you could do it
Welcome Athrawes. My WW leader reckons you should lose about 1lb per week ( think thats 0.45kg), but its hard to smile when everyone else is losing a lot more.. and not sure what BF does to your metabolism.
Blondes.Wink at champagne.. all round to yours then?
Huffy glad to have helped a bit.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 11/03/2011 17:56

Athrawes is your baby on any solids or still EBF? The leaflet I got at the meeting on it said when they are on solids too you should cut your bonus points to 7 a day I think.

NoWayNoHow · 11/03/2011 18:08

JoJo, I think you do yourself a disservice - that was excellent advice for sparkle, you're definitely not too much of a newbie to have words of wisdom!

sparkle, I can't add more than what JoJo has said and what blondes has threatened Wink. It's hard to be in the groove ALL the time, but mark my words, something is bound to happen this week which will flick a switch and get you back on track.

blondes, what kind of dog do you have?

Littlefish · 11/03/2011 18:25

Just calling in briefly on my way out to dinner (after a bread and cheese lunch for my leaving do at work). Methinks that this week may be a gain! Smile

Sparkle - just take a deep breath. Remind yourself of your progress so far, tell the small voice in your head to shut up and listen to my big, loud voice!

If no one sees you eating it, it still counts.

If you haven't got the points left you can't have the snack.

Just because you're eating it standing up, doesn't mean it doesn't have any points.

Broken biscuits and leftovers have just as many points as proper food.

There. Does that help? Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2011 18:26

jojo Grin

wizzler it's cheap bubbly 'whispers' an euro a bottle but tastes yummy - better than wine!!!

Noway great Swiss mountain dog

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 11/03/2011 18:35

Ah, that would explain the 66kg's then! We had a cross chow/labrador and he tipped the scales at 55kg. Funnily enough, we only ever walked him where he wanted to go! There ain't no moving that weight in an animal if they don't want to be moved!

littlefish just do the best you can do with what you've got - just because you know you're going to go over your dailies/weeklies doesn't mean that you have to go COMPLETELY over them. Try to minimise the damage if you can!

hmc · 11/03/2011 20:12

Awww - what does he look like Blondes - can you post a picture of him on your profile? I've got a Bernese Mountain Dog...

debs39 · 11/03/2011 20:31

dearest sparkle

In the distant past, when i had a lot to lose i worked on the 6 days on and one day off principle...I always think that if you have a week of no 'moto' then stop thinking about being on WW fulltime...try it part time ie one normal day every 3 or 4 days, one day on one day off, 6 days on one off, this is not cambridge, this is not atkins, this is not about ketosis...this is real life and real life some times means losing the old 'moto' so don't beat your self up about going off kilter every 3-4days, allow yourself to do it then the 3-4 days might become 5-6, then 6-7 ...heck, isn't that why WW gave us weeklies cos they know sticking to sometimes as little as 29 propoints is hellish!!!

Keep being a sparkle for us :)
