Hello trinity - the more the merrier!

My breakfast WOULD'VE been two slices toast (6PP), Flora Light (1PP), with Marmite (0PP) on one and 1tsp marmalade on the other (1PP). However, my DS decided that he wanted the marmalade slice, and instead of eating it like a normal human being, he licked all the marmalade off and gave it back to me!

I suppose he was doing me a favour in the long run... Smile

Trying the WW recipe for veggie pasta wedges tonight - sounds weird, but I'll let you know how it turns out!

Any more WI's today??

huffythethreadslayer · 10/03/2011 10:19

Had special K this morning with red berries and milk. 2 coffees so far today. Got lunch out planned with a friend and will go for jacket potatoe and beans. Got to start somewhere....

Tea tonight is gammon and oven chips for the girl and DH. I'll have gammon and veg. Now I've written all this down, I feel more committed. Will check back tomorrow...

How do you find out about the new WW points system? I'm still working on WW old system as that's the one I've got 'prior' with :)

ClaireDeLoon · 10/03/2011 10:27

Welcome trinity

huffy I guess the only way would be to join up? Either online or at a meeting. If you don't want to attend meetings and are happy doing it on your ownyou could attend the first meeting, get the material and then use that at home without paying anymore fees. That way you'd get told what points you were allowed (most people seem to be on the minimum of 29PP a day unless they are very tall). You might also get the calculator, shopping guide or eating out guide to help you as I find the wheel they give you to work out points very fiddly.

NoWayNoHow · 10/03/2011 12:02

huffy, I second ClaireDeLoon - I'd go to one meeting, get the starter pack, starting weight, and your PP allowance, and also stay behind afterwards for the short talk by the leader to introduce you to the system.

If you can afford, I'd consider signing up for WW online (eSource) - it's £6.95 a month, and you get access to everything you'll need to do the plan - ProPoints calculator, WW recipes, online tracker (food and activity) and more...

wizzler · 10/03/2011 12:28

Welcome Trinity.
Froot, sounds like a helluva party!
Huffy someone said you could get monthly membership of WW v. cheap via money saving expert.com. That gives you access to the e source stuff. Also, suggest you buy the calculator but not the useless "Shop!"

Piffle · 10/03/2011 12:33

And me...

Piffle · 10/03/2011 12:45

I have 11 kg to lose in total to be where I used to be pre kids but will be happy with 8 kg...

Today I had poached egg with burgen bread

for lunch I've made parsnip soup with wholemeal toasted pita
snacked on pineapple

dinner is spiced chicken, salad and new poatoes

I do a lot of walking, about 4-5 miles a day with kids/dogs etc

TrinityIsABunnyMunchingRhino · 10/03/2011 12:53

I've just had 2 fillets of pollock poached in a curried water with boiled carrots, steamed brocolli and raw mushrooms - 4 points

I'm stuffed but I fear I may be fartign later Grin

ClaireDeLoon · 10/03/2011 13:30

I had sushi for lunch as went shopping with friend. Meant skiving out of the office but hey ho!

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 10/03/2011 13:35

Quickly popping in . 0.5pm off at WI for me this week. Am pleased as didn't make it there last Thursday and am sure I would have gained so this is a good result considering. I am going to lose 2lbs next week to get to my 3.5 stone .

Hope everyone is OK and looking forward to the weekend, that's when I love PP and the weekly points !

EEEEEWWWWW blondes, of course I didn't eat the toast!!!!

ClaireDeLoon · 10/03/2011 14:49

Well done wynken and :o at NoWay and her manky licked toast.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/03/2011 14:53

noway oic, i thought you meant you had saved a pp or two from not having the marmalade and butter Grin

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 10/03/2011 14:58

DH ate DS' left-over toast once - before I had a chance to warn him that it'd been licked!

Poor thing, I hated seeing that scarred, haunted look when he realised what he'd just eaten! Maybe he'd prefer it if I just didn't say anything - ignorance is bliss, and all that!

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/03/2011 14:59

def should have kept quiet

if you dont know it has been licked/sneezed on/spat in, you wont taste the difference :)

Ceolas · 10/03/2011 15:35

I'm about to start ProPoints in the morning. Not sure where to start with this thread however...

Wish me luck!

ClaireDeLoon · 10/03/2011 15:45

Good luck Ceolas it's really not too difficult once you get your head around it!

Piffle · 10/03/2011 15:54

Just had a banana as am famished, buttering dd's toast and was salivating

Now to resist wine o clock

Willabywallaby · 10/03/2011 16:00

My Granny gave me a bottle of gin that she had sitting in her cupboard, cracked that open last night, had to do a special tesco trip for sl tonic. More tonight me thinks Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/03/2011 16:06

ceolas welcome

piffle surprised you didnt lick it and then give to dd Grin

willa yummy G&SLT

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 10/03/2011 16:08

The best way to drink, willaby! I shall be guzzling a homemade Cuba Libre after DS bedtime (possibly before if he continues to be so stroppy!) - bacardi, diet coke and hefty amounts of freshly squeezed lime juice with the squashed lime chucked in the glass for good measure!

Well done wynken on loss, and hello ceolas!

TrinityIsABunnyMunchingRhino · 10/03/2011 16:35

if I was to want a cuople of drinks tonight what is the best points wise to drink?

vodka and diet coke, wine or lager?

Piffle · 10/03/2011 16:42

lager is not good
Wine is ok but think clear spirits and low cal mixers are best
I stick to wine and soda on a diet, buy cheap nasty wine so make really weak spritzer and am never tempted to just drink the wine
Or fizzy water instead of booze
