Cool sculpture Heidi and fantastic loss Claire

Just made a lush stir-fry, thrown together from the bottom of the fridge and freezer

Fried some onions first then added garlic, ginger, and jalapeno pepper.

Then added sliced mushrooms, peppers and courgette
tir fried for a couple of minutes, adding plenty of soy.
Then zapped some quorn steak strips in a bowl with a bit of soy and tbsp of water in the microwave for 1 and a half mins.
Added those to stir-fry
Squirted a little bit of thai sweet chilli dipping sauce (about a dessert spoon)
Stir fry until the steak strips are nice and hot all the way through.

I'm having mine with some savoury rice, calculated my portion for lunch at about 10 points. Bit higher than I normally have for lunch but balanced by lots of veg at least.

Quorn steak strips are a definite addition to my freezer now, really enjoyed them!

HighHeidYin · 09/03/2011 12:54

Ta everyone Blush Was great fun doing it. tilly penguins are my mum's fave too which is why I thought of doing them. I would like to do another one with sheep... or pigs lol.

claire well done! 3lbs is absolutely fab! I used to run - 27miles a week Shock Lost all my weight doing it. But got bursitis in my hip and had to stop. Put all my weight back on...

Like hmc still like to run on the treadmill - slightly more forgiving on these old bones!

blondes yum at jacket potato - love them!

hmc silly bad parker bloke will probably be more embarassed than you... perhaps he will go in disguise?

Been very good today Got to clean out the fish tank then might sit down and read the new ww mag.

Willabywallaby · 09/03/2011 13:15

JUST marking my place, weigh in tonight, no time to read the 2 pages since I looked this morning Grin

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 09/03/2011 15:06

Just a quick post as am off to the gym, DD2 booked into creche at 3.30 so have to go or it's a waste of money!

WI this morning and lost another 3lbs! I love PP Grin I was flickering between 3 and 3.5 off, and kept seeing my weight starting with 11 instead of 12 stone, so hopefully will get there next week - Am really excited about it.

Will try and post later, and make a meaningful contribution!

ClaireDeLoon · 09/03/2011 16:24

Well done Shoulders :o

AIBU to be annoyed that my fingers are getting thinner when the rest of me is staying the same? I never had fat hands/fingers to start with so this is very irritating.

Littlefish · 09/03/2011 16:56

HighHeidYin - your sculpture is brilliant. You are very talented.

Congratulations to all who have lost this week.

I've lost 1 lb which finally takes me down into the next stone bracket. It's still a very big stone bracket, but at least it's one less than it was! Smile.

Now, just 4.5lbs to go to let to a 3stone loss. I'd really like to have lost that by 26th March, but that only gives me two and a half weeks to do it in. Just about doable, I suppose.

I'm going shopping on Sunday to get something nice to wear for this party on 26th, so wish me luck ladies.

I've also decided to look at hiring a fabulous dress for the concert I'm giving in April. That way, I can hopefully have an amazing dress for less money. It will all depend on whether the hire shop does dresses in a size 20/22 though....

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/03/2011 17:51

jojo quorn steak? sounds intriguing, and no doubt low pp - wonder if can trick dh with it?

hhy i also have the ww mag with me tonight Grin great minds

shoulders well done on 3 lb loss, and even better when going down to the next stone bracket :)

claire my fingersare losing weight, as nearly lost:( a lovely ruby/diamond ring of mine so had to take it off :(

littlefish again, well done for lb loss and going down a stone bracket

Friends birthday party at mine tonight - 10 ladies here....about to have 0pp soup with chilli in it to fill me up. Doing those 70's stuffed eggs, salad, pizza (will avoid), crudities, philly extralight with sweet chilli sauce as a dip, olives, and no doubt loads of crisps etc will turn up. Birthday cake for pud and also I have these little chocolate cups which I am going to put Baileys ice cream in....might be a 49pp evening once IO have factored in the alcohol!! (as I have absolutely no willpower once I have a drink inside me....am tempted to start now while I chop veg!)

blondes nothing too fantastic in my freeby asda haul but I thought jojo might like it to add to her storecupboard! I'm not going to drive to asda to give it back - that's for sure Grin. I was the last drop off of the night so perhaps he swept all the bits n bobs left in the van into one bag! PM me jojo if you would like a random food parcel from a total stranger!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/03/2011 18:08

sounds a lovely evening froot so enjoy all 49pp Grin

the baileys cupcakes sound yummy Envy

Welcome back HHYand the sculpture is amazing.
Claire and Shoulders, well done on 3 lb losses
Littlefish.. well done at another 1lb off . Have fun shopping for posh frocks.

I am having to change my wardrobe bit by bit, as have now lost 11.5lbs and am a size 14 in most things now. Hurrah.Smile Played tennis on monday night and wore a tennis skirt for the first time in ages. Usually I try it on, realise I look like a heiffer and then overheat in navy teacksuit trousers instead!

benbenandme · 09/03/2011 19:47

Another 1lb off tonight for me, bringing me up to 12lbs altogether, slowly but surely .... :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/03/2011 19:54

wizzler 'blondes serves an ace'

benben well done on 1 lb loss

Willabywallaby · 09/03/2011 21:30

Was very shocked to have lost 3lb at weigh in tonight. Got my silver 7! I think 1lb off 5%.

NoWayNoHow · 09/03/2011 21:31

Congrats *willaby" that's a great result!

hmc · 09/03/2011 21:31

Well done Benben, Littlefish and Shouldersback on those losses.

I STS this week - which I'm fairly okay with as I was half expecting it after losing 5lb last week. You just don't get a 5lb loss followed by another loss the following week when you are 4 months into a diet! Still I did think after running 8 miles this morning I might get a 0.5! Reckon I'll do fine next week though

HHY - you use to do 27 miles per week ?!? - flaming nora, I averaged 12 when I was running(usually two 3 milers and one 6 miler)

CDL - I'm another one with a loose ring...if I am bouncing around in the gym it can suddenly fly off!! Am also losing weight off my boobs - as my so helpful friend seems to delight in pointing out (grrr!)

Be sure to tell us about your party night tomorrow Froot (so we can all live vicariously through you)

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/03/2011 21:35

willa well done on loss

hmc well done for sts and its annoying about the rings :(

Willabywallaby · 10/03/2011 07:20

forgot to say HHY I love the pressie!

huffythethreadslayer · 10/03/2011 08:17

Thanks for the Email blondes. My intentions have gone to the wall...I'm really struggling with the whole weight loss thing at he moment and I'm not really sure why!?!?

I am intending to start again today...just got to sort my head out Confused

JoJoBaldwin · 10/03/2011 09:04

Great losses Wilaby and benben

huffy - it's a struggle at times (most of the time for me!) Get your head sorted and body will follow ....

Bless you froot, I'm ok for food as freezer is full and just remembered I have a milk and more account so that will help with a few essentials.... but also may have to get small payday loan as hubby decided to spend a tenner on beer last night!

AND tried to inveigle me into joining him AND got me a curly wurly and BIG packet of crisps from the shop.

I stayed strong and didn't drink and packet of crisps are still in the kitchen (wish someone would hurry up and eat them before I crack!) Had the curly wurly tho - a girl's got to live Wink

Hubby is a terror!

froot · 10/03/2011 09:09

Well party went well except (of course ) ate and drank too much!

2 glasses champagne
2 large (so probably quadruple)gin n slimlines
handful crisps
handful pretzels
few olives
2 stuffed eggs (probably quite healthy)
cous cous, roasted veg n feta salad
1 large bit of delicious buttery garlic n parmesan flatbread
3 little chocolate cups filled witha teaspoon of baileys icecream
1 abs lutley delicious orgasmic slice of birthday cake

So cant even begin to work out the points but will assume all 49 and will start again today. DS (16) obv realised I was worse for wear and he has been trying to convince me all week he needs a netbook to use at school (a bit dyspraxic and writing illegible) somehow I ended up on the Tesco direct website at 1 a.m. and seem to have bought one.....

So have spent all my points and all my money. DH away skiing this week - I am usually pretty good at furtively hiding my spending (e.g. am off to a spa tomorrow secretly and doctored the credit card statement when I printed it out so that it didn't show Blush) but will need to convince him that netbook purchase was A Good Idea. It probably is actually - it just shouldn't have been a drunk 1 a.m. purchase!

JoJoBaldwin · 10/03/2011 09:32

Oh dear froot - alcohol is expensive in more ways than one isn't it! Glad you had a good time at the party.

JoJoBaldwin · 10/03/2011 09:37

Just had delish 5 pp brekkie:

Banana first, just so fruit is first thing in my system.
Coffee.
Frylight egg - 2
50g quorn steak strips - 1
1 tsp mayo and 1 tsp ketchup - 2

Lots of protein!

ClaireDeLoon · 10/03/2011 09:57

Well done Littlefish, Benben and Willaby for your losses and also well done to hmc for consolidating last weeks loss. Froot party sounds great, what spa are you off to tomorrow?
