Shred is an exercise DVD that is only 20 mins long (plus warm up and stretching) but is very hard work (for me anyway). Have a look on Amazon, it's by Jillian Michaels, it's full name is 30 day Shred. I hate it and love it at the same time.

I sort of plan, weekends I plan quite carefully (and I save my weekly points for weekends), weekdays less so as I don't know what I'll have for lunch each day.

bigTillyMint · 28/02/2011 11:38

chicaquapa you definitely need to write down and point EVERYTHING! I do not lose if I don't - you could easily be eating 10pps extra a day without thinking you are.

mrsharry it's an exerise DVD, much loved on MN. I have it, but I haven't done it yetBlush
And I don't really plan meals much - just for the day

LuckyLight · 28/02/2011 12:29

LUCKY REACHED GOAL TODAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was even half a lb under!! So I am now:

9 st 11 lbs
Size 10 in everything
Tons more energy
150% happier

A gold member for life!!!!!!

So so chuffed and happy. Unfortunately, none of my friends who I go with could go to meeting today, so I was celebrating alone...!!! Blush.

Just had crumpets and custard creams to celebrate!!

abgirl · 28/02/2011 12:31

Bump, bump, bump (this was the sound of me falling off the wagon last week) bump, bump (etc. etc.)

So had a blip over half term, couldn't get out of bed to exercise in the mornings and the cheese acquired on day trip to France was just TOO tempting, stopped tracking as well so no idea how much over I was. Did take DSs on a 3 mile walk and go swimming.

However desperately trying to climb back on to the wagon today, got up early and did Davina DVD before DSs woke up and have tracked everything today. WI tomorrow so keeping fingers crossed that the damage won't be too bad...

Really need to think about being consistent with ww when I am out of my usual routines - I have another week off for Easter in 7 weeks and want to behave a bit better then...

abgirl · 28/02/2011 12:31

Well done lucky - woo-hoo! GrinGrinEnvyGrin

LuckyLight · 28/02/2011 12:32

thanks abgirl, loving the Envy squeezed in there...LOL!!

abgirl · 28/02/2011 12:34

mrsharry dh does all cooking of main meals in our house as I work FT and he is at home in time for school pick ups. He also plans meals and shopsGrin I try to stick to a healthy breakfast and lunch and work out points for whatever meal he has planned, and always save some in case the meal is more points-expensive than planned (i.e. he's added a cheese toppingHmm) or so I can have an evening treat.

abgirl · 28/02/2011 12:36

lucky am a bit Envy but it's very inspiring to know that there are some people out there who do manage to get to goal!

LoopyLa · 28/02/2011 12:59

Well done Lucky !!!!!!!

And, have to ask, WERE you naked when they weighed you??? Grin

hmc · 28/02/2011 13:13

Well done Lucky! hows arrogantman doing?Grin

hmc tried running 1min 12km/h, 1min 7km/h, but nearly died after 5minsBlush Also, the machine took ages to change between the two and I couldn't run and keep my finger on the button very well!

sparkle101 · 28/02/2011 14:29

loubloutwinmum · 28/02/2011 15:36

Hi All, sorry I have been AWOL for half term but it has been such a busy manic week, just didn't get chance to log in and catch up.

Have skimmed the posts and so much to read so will do a better job later on!

CONGRATULATIONS lucky that is brilliant! I bet you feel like a million dollars and bet you look like it too.

Abgirl climb back on board, you know you can do it!

I had a very busy h/t, charging around all over the place and aet out 3 times but made fairly good choices (not including a visit to Belgos where I had 2 cherry beers and a large pudding). I must have walked miles this week though and I did Shred 4 days and Zumba 1 day. Had a really crap day yesterday and had a huge chunk of very fresh french bread, loads of butter and very thickly sliced ham. Was so tasty though and then in the afternoon had 4 chocolate chip cookies!!! However, still had some weeklies and exercise points left.

Was dreading weighing myself this morning but lost 3lb so am properly happy Grin!!!

Got Zumba tonight and am doing level 2 of Shred which isn't as bad as level 1 in some ways! I am now only 9lbs off my goal weight (although want to lose a bit more really).

I think I am struggling to see how much weight I have shifted though as DH keeps saying what a difference there is but when I look at myself I don't really see it! Hopefully eventfully I will look in the mirror and stop seeing myself as overweight!

Really hope everyone else has good WI's this week and just keep positive & keep going!

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/02/2011 18:02

littlefriendsusan sounds like you had a lovely meal Grin and 73pp a day is fine, i did 115, tho did gain lol

chica i think i did better on old ww tbh, i would go and eat/drink each week and still lose a lb a week, new wwpp i sts if been out :(

and seems some can eat all weekies and lose weight and others gain if eat all - trial and error im afraid

mrsharry i plan the day but not week

lucky again congrats on reaching goal :)

abgirl 'dusts off and lifts gently back on wagon' good luck with wi tom

lou 3 lbs loss, thats fab, well done

NoWayNoHow · 28/02/2011 18:32

Hey all

So much for getting back on MN after hols - hbaven't had a second to myself! Feels like trip was a lifetime ago already, and it's hard to believe that this time last week I was eating dinner with my sister overlooking the sea Sad

Well done lucky that's amazing news! I love reading these stories when you can see the success someone's had - it makes it all the more believable that it can happen to you.

I technically have WI tomorrow am, but got dentist appt shortly afterwards and a lot to do whilst DS is at nursery, so I'm tempted to sack it off. I know I've been good this week (still have 34 weeklies left) so I'm fairly certain I've counteracted the holiday. My clothes also feel slightly looser, which makes me feel slightly more comfortable about missing WI. TBH, I'm contemplating stopping meetings and doing it from home (think it was you, blondes who suggested this up thread?). Feel like I have the tools and the scales and am paying for not very much at the mo, especially as I'm only a few lbs off goal.

Anyway, will have a think about it...

Made feta stuffed roasted peppers (off e-Source) for dins tonight, and had 2 portions as it was only 7PP! Absolutely scrummy!

Good luck for any WI's tomorrow!!

wizzler · 28/02/2011 19:24

chicaquapa I have 2 stone to lose too!. I have been losingg 1.5lbs per week on average since 6th Jan. I use my weeklies for the occasional meal out. I try to count everything, so I allocate myself 2 propoints for the milk I drink in tea throughout the day.1 propoint for butter on a slice of bread. I dont use my activity points.

Lucky thats fantastic. I am so proud of you. St Davids
Well done Lou, 3 lbs is good going
MrsHarry, I am the same as Abgirl. DH does all the cooking so I have what ever he prepares, but try to minimise white carbs. I have same cereal everyday, and during the week my treat Hmm is to walk to M&S and choose a low fat sandwich and some fruit.

androbbob · 28/02/2011 19:55

Just a quick pop in - trying to tidy up - never ending task!

LUCKY well done you! Grin [grim [ smile] Envy Grin Grin
You are now officially the 2nd Goal member on my spreadsheet after Vnmum and it sounds like there are a few others who are getting close - come on all!!

I have had an ok weekend - thinking I will go for the Sat morning class and make that my new class for the month of March, so not techincally cheating blondes Grin

lou - well done at your 3lbs!

noway - I can see your point about jibbing the class when so near to goal, but I would stick at it to get that gold membership Grin as then you can use the free monthly WI for maintenance.

I am stuck on my plateau - will someone please push me off the edge and back on the downward slope!

LuckyLight · 28/02/2011 20:02

Thanks so much everyone. I have just posted a photo of me today, having just got back from spinning, which I thought was rather fitting as it was spinning that helped me lose it!! Bit sweaty I'm afraid!!

Loopyla No, I was not naked!! leggins and a t-shirt!

Blondes I was 11st 6lbs when I started losing weight, but had got to 11 stone when I started WW, so in total I have lost 22/23lbs since last summer, August. The last bit was V-E-R-Y Slow, but finally came off.

BTW, when you get to goal, if you are on 29 pps a day, you then get 36 pps a day as maintenance!! Seems loads!!

Thank-you all for your good wishes and for your support on here which was invaluable, sorry I had to be a part-timer on the thread more recently.

I wish I could tell Norma....please let her know when she's back?!

L XXXXXXXX

sparkle101 · 28/02/2011 20:19

Evening ladies, just a quick one, WI tonight and lost 3.5lb so up to 18lb. Please can I just say a big thank you to each and every one of you that supported me last week when I had my unexpected gain, was all ready to throw in the towel and was thoroughly down in the dumps but you were all great with your words of advice and support, so thank you again.
