hmc I've checked out the menu online and it's lots of things with chips / cheesy sauces... but they do blackened tuna with jacket spud & salad - was thinking might go for that... Says the chilli & rice is low cal, but TBH have chilli most weeks at home so not sure I want to eat it out too!

Re white van, lol, they are one of our suppliers at work - wonder if you're up my way? Or s'pose they could be a national chain... (I'm N Lincs Smile).

I love F & B - yum yum!

Just catching up with Masterchef... making me feel very hungry!!

hmc · 25/02/2011 18:07

Whatever you opt for tonight I hope you enjoy it LittleFriend - the tuna and jacket option sounds a safe bet...diets can be a pain sometimes though! ...oh, on the white van - they must be national since I am on the south coast, although I do know N Lincs a bit from when I lived in the Peterborough area as a lass

I would be really interested to hear what you think of the Banish Fat Boost Metabolism DVD ClaireDeLoon - I'm always keen to add to my library of exercise DVDs ...although some of them a bit dusty Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/02/2011 18:22

Will do a proper catch up later but we are on the Wine so let the fun begin :)

OP posts:
CRbear · 25/02/2011 19:44

I'm quite lucky in that I don't really have any strong feelings about wine, can take it or leave it!

Was at the student union for lunch today and had quorn chilli and rice which was fine , pointed 9 and was bought a pint of cider and black, didn't think it would be too bad...HOW WRONG WAS I!? 8 pts later, what a joke! Out of the weeklies so not a disaster but I'd have been far happier with a diet coke in the first place!

I bought my a dress for a ball I'm going to soon, it's a 10 unbelievably (never been a 10 in my life!) and it does up etc. but would be perfect if I dropped 7lbs so an excellent motivator! Was down from £135 to £39 in coast to boot!

Happy weekend all xx

JoJoBaldwin · 25/02/2011 19:51

Enjoy your meal LittleFriend - though I'd be tempted to have boiled potatoes instead of the jacket. I was stunned when I saw how many more points they were baked than boiled!

Got back on track with a vengeance today. Met up with friend and her child for playdate at the park and we chose a park a good 45 min walk away for the extra exercise. Then played football and clambered about. Was out of the house for 5 hours so must have garnered a fair few activity points and being away from the fridge all afternoon means I have enough points for a scrummy dinner. Wink

Thought I'd share my latest yummy discovery: found on the WW boards.

Chickpea and Reggae Sauce wrap:

Take 2 tbsp chickpeas and add 1tbsp Reggae Reggae sauce and heat in a saucepan till sauce is hot and sticky (I actually use a tin of drained chickpeas and add 3-4 tbsps sauce and leave the mixture in a bowl in the fridge to make wraps as and when for me and hubby).
Spread fat-free greek yoghurt on a discovery wholemeal wrap.
Add the chickpea/sauce mixture and some iceberg lettuce and enjoy!
The beauty is that it's so hot you can't eat more than one even tho it's so delicious. Smile

JoJoBaldwin · 25/02/2011 19:52

I forgot to say, the chickpea wrap is 6 points!

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 25/02/2011 20:01

Just been out for tea to zizi. Yum. Had linguine gambrini which is 16 points (although left some pasta as it was a.massive portion!) Then had 2 scoops of ice cream for 3 points. I stuck to diet coke and resisted DH's garlic bread so am feeling pretty virtuous, particularly as I went to zumba this morning. I'm guessing that cancels out the ice cream!

Hope everyone has a lovely evening too.

mrsharrycunningham · 26/02/2011 07:21

Morning all!

Having resolved to get back on track this week I've had a disastrous couple of days. McDonalds, wine and various other no-no's! Weigh in is Tuesday so am sure I will have a gain. I didn't weigh in last week so will resist the temptation not to go again and will face the music and try to start again!

Have a lovely weekend - will think of you all and try to stay on track!

JoJoBaldwin · 26/02/2011 08:00

Good luck getting back on track mrsharry. There's 4 days till weigh-in, I'm sure you can pull of a sts at least if you focus. Wink

I have work today which keeps me away from the fridge. Unfortunately it is cooking snacks in a soft play centre so food is all around me! Have to be good.

Got good news yesterday about a job I was going for - got an interview on Monday 7th! But now I am bricking it. The money is not great but it's a really interesting job, and very public-facing, sort of a tour guide but better. I have to give a presentation in my interview and all sorts, something of a challenge after doing nothing but waitressing and mcJobs the last few years. When anxious I tend to eat so must stay in control - would be nice to shift a few more pounds before the interview, it will help the confidence.

ZCompton · 26/02/2011 08:57

Hello all

Time to confess: I ate a whole massive tube of smarties last night; the sort you get at Xmas, not a small normal one. Feeling depressed. Got my first meeting on monday but have been doing it online for 4 days. Even though I have been eating under my daily points allowance of 29 and haven't touched my weekly extra points, I still feel absolute self-loathing. Sad

NorthernComfort · 26/02/2011 09:05

mrsharry - you and me both. As it stands I woudl need to do three hours of spin before Tuesday to end up even. (Which is not going to happen, by the way.Smile) I was gettign a bit despondent and thinking "ah well, sod it", but I worked out that if you convert the 17 points I owe to WW to calories and spread them across the week that equates to about 1700 calories a day, which isn't bad at all when you consider that I would burn up 1650 calories by lying in bed all day and not moving at all.

That's how I'm trying to rationalise it anyway, even if the maths is slightly shaky...

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2011 09:06

lfs i also like spriztlers tho didnt drink them last night Blush just pure bubbly Grin

wizzler · 26/02/2011 09:49

Morning all !
Zcompton, you sound like a desperate woman!. Like Blondes says, count the smarties out of your weeklies, and / or do some exercise to get some activity points. Dont give up ! And you Northern weekend. We all fall of the wagon from time to time, buit keep going.

I did the Shred yesterday ( without weights) Am going to use Heinz this evening when I try it again. Banished DH and DS upstairs so I could concentrate. DS reports pictures moving off the walls.. That'll be be jumping jacks then!

NorthernComfort · 26/02/2011 10:03

Shred was great - I haven't done it since the start of January as I joined the gym instead but I might do it now and see if I'm noticeably fitter than last time...

LoopyLa · 26/02/2011 10:15

CrBear - the dress sounds fabulous, have always coveted Coast dresses from afar :)

Northern Comfort - love your maths, lol!

Well, I'm overjoyed to announce that I lost another 2 lbs last week, not sure how! It's been a horrible week at work, we are moving offices to another department, I STILL haven't heard about my interview but a "friend" heard she was successful and couldn't help mention it a BIT TOO BLOODY MUCH - grrrrrrrr...! Angry Having said all that, didn't comfort eat (my new mantra is "I'm not letting that skinny blonde bitch -my head of department- make me fat!). It's been a toughie, that's for sure.

I probably won't hear about my interview til at least Thursday now....

One good thing to come out of the department move (the only thing, mind!) is that, to save money & avoid spending it on the stinky London tube, I shall be walking to & from my place of work now so a good 50 mins walk every day - yay! Every cloud...

How's everyone else? Am going to the outlaws this week-end who are lovely people but ALL obese and love, love, love their food so offer crazy amounts of fatty & unhealthy food for lunch, tea & dinner...what do I do? Take a bag of fruit with me & eat it in front of them being all smug & obnoxious about my weight loss??!! Hmm

Hey ho. Am going to a Beefeater pub next week for Mr Loopy's birthday and REALLY want a juicy steak but probably should have something better; any ideas?

Hope you all have good week-ends :)

froot · 26/02/2011 11:04

Oh woe is meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee............wine and nibbles at the neighbours ......now I have the worlds worst hangover and I must have eaten and drunk about 100 points worth of pastry nibbles and red wine.............and it's all my own fault......

mrsharrycunningham · 26/02/2011 15:43

JoJo - chickpea wrap sound scrummy! Which reggae reggae sauce is it? Am guessing Jerk Chicken?

hmc · 26/02/2011 16:54

zcompton am going to do a bit of tough love. Man up (as Androbbob memorably said the other day)- you haven't ruined your diet. If, as you say, you haven't yet touched your weekly pps I'm thinking the worst case scenario is the big tube of smarties probably used all of those in one fell swoop (which isn't so terrible!). No room for self loathing - sounds like you are generally being very disciplined so let up on yourself Smile.

Ah froot we all have social evenings that go that way - what would life be without the odd occasion when we throw caution to the wind? Grin

Blondes liking the sound of your active but social weekend. I've had quite a dull day - attending an OU tutorial on Medicine and society in Europe 1500-1930. Bit worried because I have my first assignment due in on 8 March but before I can start writing that up I need to get up to date on the reading and I am 3 weeks in arrears! Hope my arse doesn't expand too much next week whilst sitting motionless at my desk with nose buried in books

Wizzler - keep up the tremor inducing star jumps. Am about to pop downstairs and Shred too

Loopyla - some beefeater suggestions from the eating out guide:

Brie with cranberry sauce in malted or white baguette - 18

Jacket potato with tuna mayo - 14

Chilli con carne - 21

7oz fillet steak with chips - 20

7oz rump steak with chips - 18

Mixed grill - 19

Salmon fillet with bearnaise sauce - 22

Meditteranean tomato rissotto with chicken breast - 15

My advice, buy the Eating Out guide and take it with you, the listings are extensive and since buying it I feel all game and ready do go out and eat (because I can now pp a lot of it) whereas before I would try to dissuade dh that we didn't need to eat out

LuckyLight · 26/02/2011 20:58

Hello WW ladies - checking in with my stats for androbobb.....lost another 1.5 lbs this week Grin....which means I was 9 st 11lbs on home scales (naked!) so when I go to my WW meeting on Monday a.m, as long as I wear no more than 1 lb worth of clothes (have seriously weighed out my lightest leggins and top to wear) and eat no breakfast, I should reach my WW goal....oh hooray! I will be sure to report in on Monday and let you know if I do .

LuckyLight · 26/02/2011 20:59

and why oh why oh why are frozen peas 2 pps???

androbbob · 26/02/2011 21:08

Make sure you do lucky Grin

Just on PC quick - uploding new tunes on Ipod for gym sess tomorrow.

Wil post properly tomorrow - all birthday'ed out - DD was 9 today!

JoJoBaldwin · 27/02/2011 08:00

lucky Good luck on reaching your goal - how exciting!

mrsharry yes it was the Jerk/BBQ sauce I used.

Weighed myself on the wii fit this morning and another 2lb off - not sure how as haven't been terribly good. Had friends over last night who bought me a box of chocolates Angry and had a few drinks too so was expecting a nasty shock when I stood on the scales today. Instead I had a pleasant suprise.

So my wii weight is now 12st 5lb, which probably means I am 12st 7lb in reality (due to the wii accounting for 2lb of clothes). So that's a loss of 10lb since I started propoints a month ago. Quite happy with that!

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/02/2011 12:09

wizzler did you shred with heinz ? Grin

northern did you do shred again then? must admit im rather slack with it Blush but prefer the gym class's

loopy well done on 2 lb loss and think of the exercise pp you will gain walking plus will get fitter and slimmer each day

froot i also drank tons of wine and veeeeeery bad but yummy gin and strawberry cocktails last night,as well as baileys Blush

hmc hmmmmmmmmmm my week sounds better than yours lol

lucky well done on another loss and wow fingers crossed for tom wi and that you get to goal !!!!!

jojo well done,i always weigh in clothes as if i went to a class i would,i generally wear trackies and top as weigh on a friday before i go to the gym - maybe i should weigh after ive been Grin

been a bad few days as had friend staying, and have decided that i have easily used my weekies Blush so gonna knuckle down and hope to try and lose a lb this week as have been so bad recently but least sts

OP posts:
hmc · 27/02/2011 16:31

Lucky - that is sounding hopeful, good luck!!!
Blondes - I have every confidence in you that you can cancel the last few days indiscretions by being super good Grin

Have just discovered that interval training on the treadmill is not for wimps. Did 30 minutes of alternating 1 minute of rapid running at 7.5 mph with 1 minute of walking at 3.5 mph. Whilst an average speed of a relatively modest 5.5 mph, the fast bits were cream crackering. Was inspired by the trainers on Hannah Waterman's DVD who are from Loughborough Uni's sports science faculty, and who claim that interval training burns fat faster than maintaining a constant effort.

Now back to Medicine in the 16th century (poor neglected kids watching tv)
