HHY I am impressed. Is this one of your talents? I am sure your parents will be delighted with that present .. really thoughtful

androbbob · 20/02/2011 21:02

Evening! Thank goodness half term is over and can get back to normal tomorrow! had a few days off with the kids and it is easy to slip into bad eating habits - although I did try hard to resist!

lucky - chuckled at your typo!

leeWT enjoy your holiday and no your mega loss this week doesnt count towards Challenge - sorry!!

Some good weightlosses this week - 29.5lbs loss which is great! There are some regulars missing or missed WI - froot, Norma, NoWay to mention a few.

vnmum - good luck with the move - keep tracking!

blondes - hope DH is ok and no more blood - cant stand the stuff myself. Its a bit worrying though.

HHY - sounds a lovely idea for your parents. I guess at that age you can buy what you like, dont really need anything so you end up buying something for the sake of it. Making something is very personal - fab idea!

I love these threads as there are so many wise words on them and the help and support is priceless. I do think of you when I am tempted to indulge - as in dont want to let the side down and need to get to goal.

Set myself a new mini target of losing another 7lbs by 19th March - out for an evening with friends who only see every couple of months and there is a lovely top I would like to wear that fits but is a litle tight. I recon half a stone would make it feel great - still has the tags on it Blush

My three good points:

  1. I am organised
  2. I am a cheerful person
  3. I have a lovely smile

That is the best I can do for now!

Been to the gym today and did some new exercises - included using the Power Plate and one of those kettleball things - I can feel it in my legs now! Did some lifting with the kettleball to aid my arms and obviously worked my legs. On the look out for some other exercises to do to shock the body rather than pure cardio.

Happy holidays to those off this week and welcome to all newbies - throw yourselves in - you only get out what you put in and there is a lovely happy vibe here! Dont be afraid to post if you are struggling or feeling blue - that is what we are here for!!

HighHeidYin · 20/02/2011 21:09

Thanks wizzler and androb! Glad it isn't a completely bonkers idea (I am prone to them Blush)

Yes, I'm a bit 'arty' wizzler. Haven't painted for a while though because of the business getting so busy but used to sell a fair few. Work in oils and acrylics.

One of these days I'll get back into it...

Right, will get the clay ordered tomorrow. Need to find cheap pasta machine somewhere too to condition the clay Hmm

Will post a pic on my profile if it turns out any good Grin

HighHeidYin · 20/02/2011 21:11

androb I feel exactly the same about this thread - it's the best place on mn!

IHeartIona · 20/02/2011 21:23

Hello, forgot to post after my weigh-in on Thurs, well was a bit peeved really as I put on a pound, after having stArted doing Shred and everything. Sad
gave myself the day off tracking yesterday and had a few treats. Didn't go too mad though. Not sure what to do with weeklies now, may say I've used them all and stick to my dailies alone for rest of week.
Back tracking today and just had lovely dessert of zero greek yogurt and blueberries with a meringue nest! for 3pp

well done to people who've lost this week, sorry can't name-check too well on iPod.

IHeartIona · 20/02/2011 21:24

But no curling

OP posts:
HighHeidYin · 20/02/2011 23:21

Ah well, the curling is the most important thing unfortunately Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2011 23:57

i think the one handed press ups while clicking fingers on other hand are more important actually!!!

Hi All, been in sickness hell with both DD's, including one of them projectile vomitting while I was driving on M25!! Very stressful but we seem to be germ free now, just hope it lasts.

Had a few wobbly days and on Friday had a huge piece of ginger cake and half a bag of marshmellows! It is the first time I have properly fallen off the wagon whilst doing PP. I got back on track though and still have some weeklies left and some activity points.

HHY I have been still going with Shred, have missed a few days here and there with kids being ill. Did day 10 of level 1 yesterday and know I should be brave and step up to level 2 but am a bit scared. I cannot do "proper" push ups, only on my knees.
Blondes glad your DH nosebleeds seem bit better.
Littlefish you are doing so well and keep it up. Look at the timescale you have lost the weight so far and imagine what weight you will be in 6 months, or 12 months. Enjoy your week away for half term, you will be fine.
Androbob your right about kids making comments. My Mum said to me at the weekend that I was looking really slim, had about 2 seconds of feeling good before my DD said "Yeah, but she has still got a really wrinkly tummy Nanny".... Thanks honey!

I find it very hard to say nice things about myself but will try:

  1. I am quite funny
  2. I am very kind & a good wife, mum, daughter, friend etc...
  3. I have a "great rack" (not my words but will take it)

I have lost another 2 lbs this week which brings my total weight lost so far to 2 stone! I have another 13lbs to go to reach goal so it seems attainable but think it is going to be a hard slog to get there.

Better go - lots to do. Good look with weigh ins and hope you all have a great day.

benbenandme · 21/02/2011 12:31

My weightloss meant I finally had the courage yesterday to go and meet a guy I've been chatting to online and he was lovely Grin

It also means I'm all motivated again to carry on losing the weight Wink

HighHeidYin · 21/02/2011 13:50

blondes Angry Grin

Ooh it's very quiet on here today!

WI tomorrow yikes. If I don't hit that stone mark I will be very disappointed.

lou glad it's not just me who struggles with push ups. They are the work of the devil.

Liking your three positives! You need to keep doing it though...

And waheyyyy on 2lbs loss! Just fantastic that you are so close to your goal Grin Envy Grin

ben Oooo do tell more!! That's what makes it all worthwhile though! Very happy for you Smile

At home today trying to catch up in the house. Off to tackle the fishtank... not one of my favourite jobs Hmm

teaandcrumpets · 21/02/2011 14:13

I just typed a lovely long post full of encouragement and positive thoughts, and commiserations with everyone who's had bumps and bruises (with children, cars and diets!) - and I managed to delete the lot.

Suffice to say, you're all fab! I had another restaurant challenge on Saturday but think I negotiated it fairly well. Still probably drank too much wine, though. :) Onward to Wednesday weigh-in!

xx

hmc · 21/02/2011 15:16

Whatever HHY and Blondes were drinking last night - I'll have a bit of that Wink

HHY - very thoughtful lovely present for your parents, great idea

IheartIona - depressing when that happens, but lots of examples on here of people with a small gain or STS one week, and then a 3 or 4lb compensating loss follows the next week. Betcha that will happen to you

Loublout - glad all better chez nous

benben - I hope a second date materialises, how exciting!

Half term here this week (androb - yours was last week?) - bit of a risk I might comfort eat because whilst I love my dc dearly, I prefer them when they are at school Shock

Just had one of those moments this lunch time when you eat first and propoint later. Did the dc hotdogs for lunch and ate one myself (just the frankfurter, not even the bread)...it was a jumbo frankfurter (but not actually that big!) - turns out it was 7pp! It has some ridiculous fat content - 22g of fat in a 90g frankfurther. Ah well...

HighHeidYin · 21/02/2011 15:37

tea Ooooo I just HATE it when that happens! Well done for making wise choices at the restaurant Smile

[hmc] I was as sober as a judge. It's that blondes - shes' a bad influence Wink

Am shocked at the frankfurter pps Shock Shock

Done the fish tank and tidied and hoovered downstairs. Need to do upstairs now Hate housework!

hmc · 21/02/2011 18:23

The dc and I have just worked out to the Hannah Waterman dvd. I am not sure how efficacious it was because 6 year old ds has no coordination and kept careering into me at regular intervals, but it was certainly amusing.
