I saw that advertised today, looks good. My dc are too you g for anything like that ATM thank goodness.

froot · 18/02/2011 22:38

hmc oh Anita ....I am in lurrrve with her bod . Not the other bint though - is it just my cheap widescreen or is she built like a brick shithouse ??
Romsey eh ? You must live near me . I think I have got déjà vu all over again I think we had this conversation a few threads back ! ( locality not Anita )

claire I don't count any activity points at all .... And then I don't count milk or low fat spread so I think that balances out.

froot · 18/02/2011 22:47

No offence meant btw to anyone on the cuddly side (after all - most of us are on this thread ) it's the shred womans muscle bulk I was commenting on about her build she is all pumped up !!

HighHeidYin · 18/02/2011 22:53

Cost an arm and a leg 5inthebed. It better be good! Hmm

ClaireDeLoon · 18/02/2011 23:00

I use my activity points on a weekend as it's the only time I have been going over 29 a day and the iPhone app uses the activity points up before it uses the weekly points. I guess it just means I'll have weekly points left over instead.

CRbear · 18/02/2011 23:50

I've been lurking for 2 weeks now... I don't have children nor am I trying for any but this thread is so good I'm hoping you will accept me despite this!

I have quite an odd weight history including weight loss surgery, but I'm currently 12st9.5 aiming for 11st4. Lost 3.5lbs in week one and officially love propoints!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/02/2011 01:33

froot me neither but if I'm earning 20+ a week then surely I should be skinny by now?

Welcome crbear

At A&E again with dh :( been bleeding so much today and felt quite woozy / not sure what they can/will do to him this time :(

HighHeidYin · 19/02/2011 13:23

Stopping for lunch. Getting on great though - almost cleared my in tray. Will get the accounts done this aft.

Just had lovely lunch - Ryvita Sweet Onion with extra light philly with sliced grapes on. Yum, yum, yum! I shouldnt be left alone with grapes though. I know they are free pps... but I'm sure there is a limit before you start to gain with them - I've eaten tonnes!

bamboo fantastic loss - well done! I was the same when I first started weighing portion - couldnt BELIEVE how many pps were in the portions of rice as pasta I had been having Blush

blondes poor thing. He must be absolutely sick of it all by now. You too. Sad

wizzler if licking the bowl is the worst you can do you are doing very well Grin What if you exercised? Would that remotivate you?

willaby enjoy lunch. Yum!

5inthebed · 19/02/2011 13:49

Wine went down a treat last night, although this korning I could have really don with a greasy fry up. Had toast with LF margarine instead Hmm.

DH came back from Tesco with a mushroom pasta ready meal thing for me, it was ok, quite filling and 11 points.

Still loving that fruit is free. I could quite happily eat strawberries and grapes all day.

LoopyLa · 19/02/2011 14:30

Hi Everyone & welcome to all the newbies!

Honestly, been off this thread for just a few days & stupid tinternet thingy chucked me off :(

First week went PRETTY well - have lost 3 lbs...

However having Chinese take out tonight - anyone know what's not fat filled good for a Watcher Of Weight? Was thinking a veggie chowmein or something. I won't drink the soup (heave!) but love the saucy dishes, noodles, rice, etc.

Any ideas?

LoopyLa · 19/02/2011 14:44

Sorry Blondes - have only now caught up with this week & seen you're back at the hospital with your poor, poor DH....do you think it's time you got really stroppy direct with the doctors if you haven't been? They're medical professionals, it's appalling they havn't been able to help you yet :(

Sorry, not helpful but it's just so crap that you keep going back & forth to the hospital - I'm frustrated on your behalf! Angry

hmc · 19/02/2011 16:09

Mushroom chow mein is only 6 pp LoopyLa - there are a few other options listed in the pocket guide on p55, so chicken and sweetcorn soup is 6pp, lemon chicken is 10pp etc...

5inthebed - remember there are limits to fruit being free. Our leader is pretty unquivocal on this and 'diagnosed' one members STS result as due to eating (by that person's own admission...she ate a whole big bunch) too many grapes etc

Blondes - sorry that it is all still going on with your dh, I really hope they get him sorted soon Sad

hmc · 19/02/2011 16:28

froot - agree that the other one in Shred looks like a sturdy public convenience, she is really working the butch look! Anita does look softer and more feminine but toned with it - however possibly a bit too skinny don't you think?

Who asked about activity points for Shred? - basically I use the values chart on p62-63 of the pocket guide. I consider it 'Intense' exercise (don't know about you guys but I am out of breath all the way through, not just the cardio bit) and so for 20 minutes that would earn you 3pp if you are 10 stone, 4pp if you are 11 stones going up to 5pp if you are 14 stones and 6pp is you are 17 1/2 stones

I am quite bored with Shred though. I still use it when i am pushed for time but find it quite joyless....I prefer Davina and use Davina Fit, and have just ordered Davina Body Buff - it gets brilliant reviews on Amazon from users, looking forward to using it when it arrives in the post.

ClaireDeLoon · 19/02/2011 16:39

That was me thanks hmc! 4pp for me then!

hmc · 19/02/2011 17:05

Well am pleased you've got an extra activity pp out of it CDL Grin

hmc · 19/02/2011 17:07

In case I don't get on again (yeah, right! - not much addicted to this thread!)before bigTillymint goes skiing - have a lovely holiday BTM!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/02/2011 18:36

loopy congrats on 3lb loss

tbh hospital dont know what is wrong with dh or why he is bleeding but they shoved a camera up his nose and down his throat and there is nothing there to see,(looking for scab/cut/graze etc) so he has been discharged this evening

said if he bleeds again then they can try and do an op under ga and clip a vein down his throat but as not 100& sure thats the problem, they dont want to do it

touches wood (head) he hasnt bled since midnightish last night .......

we are having a chinese tonight

balls and rice shared with dh :)

OP posts:
5inthebed · 19/02/2011 19:01

Yes, will remember that about fruit. Wasn't actually planning on eating them all day, but the idea of being able to eat a piece of fruit if peckish is a great comfort.

Can't believe how many points are in a baked potato! There never used to be that many in the old version Sad

Congratualtions on the weight loss Loopy

Littlefish · 19/02/2011 19:50

Some great losses on here. Well done all.

Blondes - so sorry to hear about your dh. Hope you have a quiet night, without another trip to A&E!

I'm going to be offline for a few days as dd and I are going to Cornwall for halfterm. I'm really nervous about being away from home, and staying with other people, because I won't be able to control what I'm given to eat. This will be the first real test of my willpower!

I'm feeling a bit miserable tonight actually. In my heart I know I've done really, really well with my weightloss (2.5 stone so far), but I've just come back from a shopping trip to try and buy a few new tops. People are starting to tell me that I'm looking better, but actually seeing myself in all those mirrors was awful. I've got such a long way to go. Sad.

I know that I'm doing all the right things, by setting myself mini goals, celebrating every success and basically ignoring the fact that I've still got another 6 stone to lose. However, it's still hard when you're faced with reality!

I've got a party coming up in March, in London, with lots of really smart, trendy London people and I'm now officially dreading it. I sooooooo wanted to look great and feel great to try and quell my nerves about the whole evening.

Please ignore me, because I'm just wallowing in self-pity.

hmc · 19/02/2011 20:18

Have a lovely half term away Littlefish, and whilst I appreciate what you are saying about having a long way to go and not liking what you see in the mirror yet, remember 2.5 stones so far is phenomenal and it won't be long before you've shifted another stone, and then another
