Hi Carly! Sounds like you're doing well. I've gone from 11st 4lb (not good at 5'4" Blush), now 10st 5 and a quarter (not that I'm anal Grin), doing Shred or other Jillian DVDs and occasional Davina, 6 days out of 7 on a good week, and using an online tracker to log my calorie intake. Would LOVE to get to 9.5 stone.

thedogwalker · 18/03/2011 17:08

They look yummy. Might do some of them next week.

OP posts:
carlywurly · 18/03/2011 18:39

thanks Knotty! Every quarter pound matters when you're doing Jillian dvd's to get rid of them Grin

thedogwalker · 18/03/2011 19:04

Hi Carly, you're very welocme to join us. We're all at various stages on here. I went up over 13 stone when I had my LO last August and now I'm down to 9 st 13 lbs. I would like to lose another 6 lbs. We are never happy are we!!!

Knotty and DInky are our fitness gurus. I try to be but never find the time.

So welcome. Friday is weigh day, so a whole week before you have to bare your soul to us Grin.

Where is everyone today, where are the weigh ins????

ta ta for now, hope everyone has a good weekend.

knottyhair · 18/03/2011 21:14

Yeah, come on people, fess up Grin! And er, fitness guru, NO! I don't know a lot, not like Dinky, I just try to do something most days. I like food too much not to Blush.

dinkystinky · 18/03/2011 21:24

Hi people - had a pub lunch with our deal team yesterday (v boozy and calorie laden) to celebrate the end of the deal from hell so pleased to report a sts this morning! Welcome Carly and TDW, am so sorry to hear about your DH's granddad. Sending you and your DH hugs and strength for this sad difficult time and as the others said, be kind to yourself.

Knotty, TDW and others- well done on your losses. JAM - keep the faith and you will lose next week!

knottyhair · 19/03/2011 07:41

Dinky, well done on your STS. Hope you enjoyed your lunch, sounds like you deserved it! Having my day off exercise today, although I'll probably walk into town with DS this morning to give DP a chance to recover from his piss-up business meeting last night. Going to have to buy some soup for lunch, and we've got swede & potato topped fish pie for dinner. Have a good one everyone! x

thedogwalker · 19/03/2011 15:46

Oh I am a bugger, with moving soon I am trying to use up everything in my cupboards, and I have just made flapjack, with honey and almonds. Worse still my DH isn't here to taste test, so I will have to have a small Blush piece myself with a Wine tonight.

OP posts:
justaminute · 19/03/2011 16:35

TDW - enjoy the flapjack without the guilt - you deserve it.

I on the other hand have been bad, bad, bad. Wallowing in self pity I have eaten lots of naughty stuff in the last 24 hours. I never learn. Line is now drawn and I'll aim to be good again. I need to see a loss this week to avoid another comfort eating pig out.

Welcome Carlywurly. Well done on your weight loss. I'm aiming to eat healthily and exercise more too but worryingly I have put on weight since the start of the year - probably due to moments of madness like the last 24 hours. Blush

thedogwalker · 19/03/2011 17:03

That's it justamin, get back in that zone, remember, nothing, nothing at all, tastes as GOOD being slim feels

OP posts:
knottyhair · 19/03/2011 17:34

JAM, you can do it. I don't mean to be trite but maybe turn your statement round and look at like "I will avoid comfort eating in order to see a loss this week"? TDW, have a small piece of flapjack (sounds gorgeous by the way, and like JAM says, enjoy it! I have to be like that with cheese. I've sadly worked out how much I can have for 50 calories, and if I feel the need, I weigh it out, sit down and enjoy it. It's not much but it stops me feeling deprived (nearly said depraved, that's a whole other story Grin).

thedogwalker · 19/03/2011 17:50

I've just eaten a piece of my flapjack, it was delicious, but it weighed 84 grammes, (saddo for weighing), that worked out at 366 calories, ouch, but with all the housework, walking etc I've done today, I've still got over 600 calories to use up Shock. I will not have another piece, everything in moderation and all that.

Will go round the neighbours tomorrow offering my goods Smile

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 19/03/2011 18:30

Hi peeps! Not been on in a while, TDW sorry to hear about your DP grandfather.

Hope everyone is doing well, will have a proper read tomorrow. Been keeping a low profile as i have been bobbing between 1lb up and 1lb down on the same weight for weeks now because i do well then binge or do half good/half bad and im fumbling along! Aim to stay good this week and i have shredded yesteray (woohoo!) Also walked to the park with the kids today and had a run around and walked into town via greggs for cake (but i never got one i promise) and walked home.

I should really come one and admit it but i feel like such a let down as im supposed to help spur you all on, not come and confess my sinns!

Well i weighed in at 13st 13lb on friday so will see what next week brings.

thedogwalker · 19/03/2011 19:42

Thinbride, we are here for you, whenever you feel the need to binge, come on here, we can spur you on, to stay in the zone. You are not a let down, we all have bad days, sometimes even weeks (I did when I sts for a few weeks). You just got to keep the faith girl and the weight will come off.

So welcome back and sending you lots of happy vibes to help you through.

knottyhair · 20/03/2011 09:18

Thinbride, welcome back! TDW, hope your neighbours were receptive to your goods Wink. Just done Jillian's 6 Week 6 Pack for the first time, did beginners version as instructed but think I need to use the weights next time. Saying that I found some moves ridiculously difficult somewhat challenging. Not as hard as her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism though. Making winter minestrone for lunch, and a prawn/chorizo rice thing for tea. Hope everyone's having a good weekend Smile.

Shaxx · 20/03/2011 10:08

Hi Carlywurly. You seem to be doing really well!

TDW that flapjack sounds gorgeous. Well done for counting it too.

JAM and Thinbride (welcome back!) I'll join you in confessions. I was very bad yesterday. I did really well during the day and we were out and about for most of it but I spoiled my hard efforts by eating chocolate and croissant late at night!

I now have carb cravings like mad. What can I do to stop them?

Knotty that dvd sounds really good. I may look into it.

I should make a soup for lunch too but not sure yet and we're having chicken curry and rice for dinner.

thedogwalker · 20/03/2011 12:24

Knotty the prawn/chorizo rice thing sounds dellicious already, my kind of food, what's the recipe?

Shaxx hope the cravings have gone. If not go out for a nice walk and that should take away the cravigns and the opportuntiy to eat Grin

OP posts:
knottyhair · 20/03/2011 12:40

TDW, it's here.

Shaxx · 20/03/2011 15:11

Carb cravings did not go away unfortunately but I think they are now satisfied Blush

To combat further cravings, I am clearing our covered decked area which became a dumping ground over the winter.
I've taken a couple of bags of clothes to the recycling bins in Tesco and bought myself a Rosemary Conley diet and fitness mag to motivate me this week.
I'm also drinking lots of water.

I think I'll try that recipe too Knotty. Looks yum.

fedupofnamechanging · 20/03/2011 19:59

Hi all. Am new to this thread and am here on the recommendation of Shaxx. Just checking in

knottyhair · 21/03/2011 09:55

Hi karma! Just done Level 3 Shred - struggled with last circuit of strength for some reason today, kept having to stop and do Anita versions. But did manage jumping lunges (sort of, in a fairy elephant fashionBlush). Having more of the minestrone for lunch today, then making lamb biryani for tea. Hope everyone has a good Monday, and the weather is as lovely where you all are Smile.

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 21/03/2011 10:02

Welcome to the newbies Calrywurly and Karmabeliever!

Im still on track, but starting to get a head cold, so im making a pot of minertone soup to scoff at work this week, might help me shake it off with the lovely vitamins in the soup.

Also i make a batch of Tablet (scottish sweetie) and diff scoff a fair few pieces, but its made me decide to make it for wedding favours! (cheapskate emoticon?) Also it will add to my scottish-ness to the english proccedings.

Hope everyonme is well.

justaminute · 21/03/2011 10:16

Mmmmm butter tablet - lovely idea as a wedding favour thinbride, you could put it in some organza bags and tie with tartan ribbon to add to the scottishness Smile.

I'm going hard core this week. I've dug out my Rosemary Conley book and i intend to follow it. I'm fed up of trying to be sensible and then blowing it - I think I need rules.

Just been called up to play netball tonight, might try to fit a Davina in too.

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 21/03/2011 10:39

Justaminute - i have gold and purple organza bags winging there way from ebay as we speak! Going to alternate the colours and attach a little thank you gift tag with a 3d butterfly cut-out stamp (butterflies feature in the theme!). I was intending to fill them with gold chocolate dragee but now im doing the tablet! 50 favours will cost less than a tenner, Bargain!

I was crap a volly ball at the school, zero co-ordination.

knottyhair · 21/03/2011 10:54

Thinbride, butter tablet sounds much nicer, and really personal Smile.
