Welcome one and all - if you're following the new WW ProPoints plan then this is the thread for you!

Whether you need to lose a little or a lot you'll be right at home, we're friendly, supportive and we're all in the same boat!

androbb is our resident stats checker and helps to track what we've lost as a thread so far, nothing more motivating then seeing just how much weight is coming off.

Feel free to dive in and join us Grin

Thighs worry not my dear, we're all in the same boat, apart from the annoyingly motivated clever people who continued to track over Christmas.

NormaSknockers · 03/01/2011 20:34

Don't fret too much Thighs you've been doing so well, wait and see what the weigh in brings might not be too scary at all Grin

Just tell me to sod off Lucky no need to be polite with me Grin

so everything is done on fat protein and fibre ?

bluebump · 03/01/2011 20:39

Hello everyone. I have had a good 3 weeks off the plan what with Christmas and everything and have gained 1/2 stone Shock so i'm back on it starting from today! I'd lost 2 stone before then and actually feel more cross than I thought I would at my gluttony over Christmas!

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 20:42

bluebump I gained about 6lbs too. It'll soon come off....

androbbob · 03/01/2011 20:46

Evening All!

A busy old thread this one - I sense a pending doom / black cloud hanging over the WI this week! Lets just get it over with and crack on tracking for fab gains next week! Do you remember our first thread after our first week and I totted up all the weightloss - it was 59 lbs with 20 people weighing in. So if we take the weight from weigh-ins this week as as 'new' starting weight we could have a similar figure next week! That would be Grin

I have had a reasonable day - stayed within points (just) and planning a hot choc options shortly! If my home scales are behaving tomorrow (showing a loss!!) then I will go to class tomorrow, otherwise I will go to my usual class on wed! How sad is that!!

Thighs - welcome back - dont go away for so long next time!

welcome to all the newbies! - plenty of room on the couch for you as we are all getting slimmer - we are 9 stone 11 lighter than two months ago - so plenty of room and motivation around here!

Picked my new recipe for this week - camembert, pea and courgette tart - served with salad - works out at 8PP per serving (tart is for four) so I will probably havea third of it and call in 10PP!

Good luck to those with WI tomorrow - hurry back and report your findings from the box of confession!!!

NormaSknockers · 03/01/2011 20:46

Blondes it's on Carbs, total fat, fibre and protein.

Don't worry Blue I think I gained 3/4lbs too so you're far from alone fret not :)

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 03/01/2011 20:49

That really is so motivating so see that in black and white, thank you for keeping that up to date for us androbb I think we all appreciate it Grin

Well done on having a good day, stop weighing yourself on your scales though naughty, naughty Wink Good luck for your WI!

Don't forget our 2 little prize winning goals ladies - a little extra motivation Wink

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 20:54

Quick question Norma , the 7lbs and 1 stone pizes....do we count it from where we were at before Christmas or what our current weight is???

Yes androbbob we do all appreciate your stats!! I'm sure it will boost the newbies motivation.

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 20:55

Prizes Blush Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 21:03

You've all lost over 9stone on this thread

That's amazing :)

If it makes you all feel any better I gained 7 lbs over Xmas Shock Blush

I always weigh on a Friday so weighed Xmas eve and then ny eve

7 lbs that's a lb a day :(

But let's hope I lose a lb this Friday :)

I have tons of receipes in my ww cook book and also ww mag that I've subscibed and kept for past 6yrs

NormaSknockers · 03/01/2011 21:06

From current weight Lucky, androbb is kindly keeping an eye on the stats for me so we know who reaches what & when Grin

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 21:18

Well I think I did admit this earlier on, but my last weigh in I was 10 st 5lbs. If I lose 7lbs I'll be at goal (9 st 12 lbs)!!!

BigTillyMincepie · 03/01/2011 21:42

Well I weighed myself this morning and I've put on at least 3lbs.

I MUST get back on the WW wagon Smile

wATEwatcher · 03/01/2011 21:52

Hi, can I join please? Have started a thread in AIBU, didn't realise you were all meeting up here!

Was weighed today, put on 2lb. Sad

Definitely back on the wagon as from ... NOW! Grin

dachshundfan · 03/01/2011 21:59

wow, you've all done so well, i feel like such a newbie just on day 4! still gives me something to aim for. have to admit i just had a takeaway but still seem to be doing ok for my weekly limit (not entirely sure i'm doing this right - oh well will find out on friday!) Hmm

muffinchops · 03/01/2011 22:52

Will report back tomorrow from the WI. Good luck to everyone else too. Lets make 2011 our year of gorgeousness.

Don't worry bluebump we are all a bit peeved. Fantastic to have lost 2 stone already though.

Trying to grasp for positive thinking (I need it) here. We're all fearing the WI scales this week and most of us have had a few dalliances with the bad stuff BUT if we had not have started around Nov when PP started rolling out we would be starting the year's WIs muchos heavier, so we are in a better place than we otherwise would be.....

androbob - the camembert and pea tart sounds lush. Where did you get that recipe from? Likewise with the risotto lucky.

Made the curried parsnip soup today (WW recipe - 2 pts). Very nice and quite firey - hoping it will rev up the metabolism!!

Day 2 of the shred also completed vnmum. DH would not let me plead my birthday as an excuse to skip it (I'll thank him for it in the end)!! Am worried will not be able to bend down to take my shoes off for the WI tomorrow.

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 04/01/2011 06:45

Good luck for those with WI this week. I know it is easy for me to say as I lost, but gains are just slight bumps in the road. Everyone has done so well, it would have been so easy to do what my Mum has done, say you'll do it after Christmas. She's now got what she had to lose plus more. Anyone struggling, work out how much you have lost in packs of butter, it's quite sobering.

Parsnips caused problems here recently. Went to the allotment finally and dug up a huge one, 44cm long, DD decided to make soup and cut herself, steristrip job. She is 12 today so have 6 girls to contend with then tomorrow it is back to orthodontist to try to have impressions taken, take 2 and now have to fit in GP trip for dressing to be redone. I only have 3 weekly points left for today and tomorrow after a choc ice gem and Whispa incident so need to be really careful with the cake today. A big pot of non parsnip soup would be an idea I think .

hmc · 04/01/2011 10:38

Where is the curried parsnip soup recipe muffinchops - is it online?

In a funny sort of way I am relieved that some of you are reporting Christmas gains - but only because when I have me WI I don't want to be the only black sheep with a gain!I know from my own home scales that my weight has gone in the wrong direction. Ah well, the thing about those sort of gains is they are quick on and quick off - you can demolish them in a week to 10 days.

NormaSknockers · 04/01/2011 11:36

Good morning everyone Grin

Are we all raring to go or feeling sluggish with the cold?

Hiya Tilly don't worry about the gain, you'll soon shed in that no time Grin

Hello and welcome wATE we're a very friendly and supportive thread so you'll feel right at home. We're all on the same journey and here to help each other get to that goal weight that we all want to be. Any questions just ask away :)

dasch that's what the weekly points are for, use them as you want, as long as you stick within the weekly points you shouldn't have any problem!

Good on you for doing the shred muffin are you still able to bend down today? Wink Don't panic about the scales, just wait and see what they say :)

Sounds like you have your hands full there Wynken bless your DD wanting to make soup though, hope her fingers/hand is ok? Lots of 0 point soup to keep you going? Grin

hmc you most definately will not be the only one with a gain, I suspect that a high majority of the metings will have a gain, it's so hard at this time of year!

WI tonight - fingers crossed!

OP posts:
hmc · 04/01/2011 11:43

Rooting for you at your WI tonight Norma Smile

Has anyone else got the 'old' WW recipe book 'Weekdays' because if so I have worked out propoints for some of the recipes and will share that here (to save others the job) if anyone is interested?

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/01/2011 12:36

morning, well tech afternoon Grin

how do the leaders work out your pp daily allowance?

is it 29 plus a pp for each stone you need to lose etc?

parsnip soup sounds yummy, i made one with stock, parsnips, apple and spices for 2p

mumto2andnomore · 04/01/2011 12:39

Right so Ive started today !

Breakfast -2 weetabix, milk tsp sugar 7PP

Lunch half a can of beans, 2 slices of toast 10 PP

Dinner (not had yet ) Sainsburys be good to yourself ready meal 10 PP

2 PP left, what shall I do with them ?!

Also had raspberries and satsumas which are 0PP

Does this sound ok ?

HollyGoHeavily · 04/01/2011 12:50

Hello - can i join in please? Got my first meeting tomorrow morning at 10am and am bricking it a bit. DD is 9 weeks now and I can hold off on the diet no longer...

NormaSknockers · 04/01/2011 12:54

Welcome to the newbies, the more the merrier! We're a very friendly and supportive thread you'll find Grin

Blondes it has to be done using the calculator as it doesn't quite go like that. I have almost 2 stone still yet to lose but I'm on 30 so only 1 above the 29. It takes into account age, weight, height etc.

Sounds fine to me mumto, you'll soon learn what are filling foods but lower in points values :)

Good luck for your first meeting Holly

Thank you hmc I'm hoping for a loss, fingers very firmly crossed! Grin
