Welcome one and all - if you're following the new WW ProPoints plan then this is the thread for you!

Whether you need to lose a little or a lot you'll be right at home, we're friendly, supportive and we're all in the same boat!

androbb is our resident stats checker and helps to track what we've lost as a thread so far, nothing more motivating then seeing just how much weight is coming off.

Feel free to dive in and join us Grin

and while i wait weight 'giggles' for my new books and calculator to arrive can someone please pp my fav soup

heinz, big soup, steak and potato - used to be 4p a tin

224 cals
12g protein
1.2g fat
10.2 carbs
3.4 fibre

thank you :)

Lorelai · 03/01/2011 15:44

Have just caught up on this thread, and am feeling really motivated - am thinking about maybe starting this week rather than waiting until next week. Does anyone know if WW still say you should wait 6 weeks after having a baby? And if I go after 5 weeks will they turn me away? (Is it even healthy to start dieting after 5 weeks? There must be a reason they say that, right?)

muffinchops · 03/01/2011 15:52

Hi guys. Ooooooh big WI tomorrow to face up to the Xmas collateral damage. Don't think I can look at the scales. Will be a much needed kick up the butt though. Presume you have your official WW WIs looming this week too.

DCs cannot understand why mummy does not have a birthday cake for her birthday today - a totally alien concept to them. DH has taken them all out so I can indulge in the luxury of time and I am sitting her fighting the urge to dive into some chocs to 'treat' myself but the thought of tomorrow's WI is just about stopping me.

Don't stress too much about the 1lb Lucky especially given steroids etc. I admire your motivation and drive and your huge success but I do feel you are very hard on yourself. Ease up a tad as you don't want to get so ill that you can't do anything.

vnmum much respect to you for pointing the choc etc. I think after we have all had our official WIs this week we'll grip our knickers, say goodbye to the Xmas excesses and start dropping those pounds again.

Did Day1 of the Shred yesterday and ache..... alot.

muffinchops · 03/01/2011 15:58

Hi Lorelai. I think the 6 week marker is because that is when you and your baby have the 6 week check by the GP to check that all is going well. You then usually have the go ahead to start some gentle exercise etc.

I started at 6 wks after dd was born last January. I was bf under the old plan so was given extra points. WW ensures that if you are bf then you plenty of extra points to nourish yourself and your baby and still lose weight.

Depends on your Leader I suppose but I imagine most would want to know that you have had the ok from the GP at the 6 wk check. It won't be long to hang on and in the meantime you can get plenty of motivation here to set you up.

Littlefish · 03/01/2011 16:13

Big weigh-in for me tomorrow too muffinchops.

hmc · 03/01/2011 16:40

Blondes - my propoints calculator says 3

collision · 03/01/2011 16:41

OK.

This week I am back at school and am being weighed on Wednesday.

hmmmmmm

So, Oats so simple with skim milk = 3pts

DH is making WW borlotti bean soup and the only thing to weigh is the beans which are 1pt for 35g. He is using 5 tins though so heaven knows how many points that is!

Porridge
soup
Muller lite yog = 2pts
lots of free fruit

Then at home I can make some free points roasted veg and I will be as thin as a stick in no time!!

collision · 03/01/2011 16:42

Does anyone know when the WW PP food comes out properly with the soups and froz food and bread?

Tis easier than pointing it all myself! Wink

androbbob · 03/01/2011 16:46

Blonde that soup is 3pp so is a great choice. assuming the fat is total fat not old saturated fat.
been for walk in cold today and debated getting takeaway fir tea but i refused as git stuff in fridge that needs eating! catch up later

vnmum · 03/01/2011 17:00

blondes you need to check if those values are for the whole tin, half a tin or per 100g as that could give different points.

Muffin i did day 2 of the shred today and i ache alot. i look like an old woman trying to sit down and get up as my legs are so sore, lol. it will be worth the pain though

Good luck muffin and littlefish for your WI tomorrow

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 18:09

"Don't stress too much about the 1lb Lucky especially given steroids etc. I admire your motivation and drive and your huge success but I do feel you are very hard on yourself".......have we met muffinchops??!! (being hard on myself...it's been said 1000 times Smile).

blondes I would imagine those values would be for half a tin? I have a lot of soup, and even very 'low fat' soups like lentil soup are 6 pps a whole can. Maybe just check?

Good luck to those weighing in tomorrow.

Just trying out new haddock and leek risotto for me and DH tonight. Cooking as we 'speak'. 12 pps per portion. Will let you know......

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 18:46

Quite simply......DELICIOUS!!!!!!

Easy to make, 12 pps, In think the kids might even eat it. Really creamy and yummy.

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 18:57

Haddock & leek risotto recipe

NormaSknockers · 03/01/2011 19:33

Evening all,

Just popping in quickly, been at the panto this evening with DD (oh yes I have) and succumbed to an ice-cream, oh dear! Weigh In tomorrow night and hoping to get a run in before hand. I really do think I'll have stayed the same as in the 4-5 days I didn't track I think I gained a bit so STS would be good, a loss would be better, but I doubt it Grin

Blondes a list of names for what sorry? People following the PP do you mean? Everyone on this thread (and the previous thread) are all on the PP plan Grin

Lucky stop being so down on yourself and stop weighing yourself at home! The 1lb gain might be gone by tomorrow, it could be water retention, the steriods, a poo Wink And if you have gained 1lb you will easily hift that very quickly you know you will, ease off yourself a bit lovely Wink

Good luck for WI tomorrow muffin and Littlefish let us know how you get on Grin

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 19:45

collision - thats what i normally have and on old ww was a 3p breakie, so does that mean pat so simple is the same on ww pp ,hopeful look.

bugger soup was on sat fat - are all ww pp done on normal fat :(

i got excited when found out was 3pp Grin

the numbers were for 1/2 a tin so i just doubled it as did always eat a whole tin but REALLY filled me up so fat is 2.8g
heinz, big soup, steak and potato - used to be 4p a tin

224 cals
12g protein
2.8 g fat
10.2 carbs
3.4 fibre

good luck with weighers tomorrow - sorry not too sure who you all are - hence why i thought a list may be handy and even have what day you weight?

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 19:49

bugger and carbs may be different,is it normal or what sugars, if normal then 35.4g

heinz, big soup, steak and potato - used to be 4p a tin

224 cals
12g protein
2.8 g fat
35.4 carbs
3.4 fibre

also how does your daily allowance get calculated?

is it done on a set amount then add more for height/weight/sex etc

thank you - sorry so many questions - bet you wish i had never found you now Grin

mumto2andnomore · 03/01/2011 19:55

Hope you dont mind if I join in, have lots of weight to lose and have just signed up to WW online, hoping to get lots of tips from here too.

Im going to start in the morning :)

NormaSknockers · 03/01/2011 19:56

Would't be easy to keep track of the list though as the thread is fast moving so we'd soon be pages past it Grin We just tend to say when we're off to weigh in, you'll soon learn who everyone is on the thread, there's a few regular posters and some who post every few days or so :)

Yes, all PPs are now worked out using fat as a whole not sat fat anymore. Going by the numbers above (you no longer need the cals by the way) it's 3 PPs so if would be 6 PPs a tin if the figures above are only for half a tin.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 19:58

i will try and work out who is who :)

and those numbers were for whole tin as i doubled for 1/2 iyswim - so OMG its less PP then my old ww p

NormaSknockers · 03/01/2011 20:03

That's what I was wondering as it didn't sound right to me, are those the TOTAL for Protein, Carbs, Fat and Fibre for the entire tin?

OP posts:
thighsmadeofcheddar · 03/01/2011 20:04

peeks in.....i'll be back tomorrow ladies.

hello all.

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 20:17

Blondes the values you gave are 6 pps, whole tin??

I have been continuing my recipe/pointing game at home Hmm. Looking forward to having a sparkly folder full of delicious recipes, all with prop-points value on so that I won't have to work it out at the time Grin. Anyway, bloody starving now after looking at all those pics of food, so succumbed to a WW belgian choc cake bar Shock Grin. Only 2 pps.

Thread is def a lot busier in the new year, I expect all the meetings will be rammed for a few weeks.

NormaSknockers · 03/01/2011 20:28

Thighs hello stranger, how you been? Grin

I reckon you're right there Lucky my meeting is usually busy at the best of times but think it'll be even busier tomorrow - think I might go early Grin Well done all the re-pointing of recipes, wanna do mine Wink

OP posts:
thighsmadeofcheddar · 03/01/2011 20:31

Hi Norma, you lovely thing.
Been okay, not doing great weight wise, but not awful. Weigh in wednesday so shall see the damage. Happy new year!

LuckyLight · 03/01/2011 20:31

erm, how do I put this politely???

Still have 7 months worth of 2010 Good Food mags to work my way through. I've decided just to do a bit each day, as the torture of looking at all the food is too much to bear. Even though it's all healthy recipes!!

Don't think I'll be needing any new cook books in a while!!!
