WooooooHoooooo . After all my worries, I've actually lost 2lbs at my WW weigh in. I'm delighted! It means that I've now lost 2st 1.5lbs (29.5lbs) in total.

So far, I've hit my first 3 targets (5%, 10% and 2 stone off).

My next targets are:

Lose 8lbs to get down into the next stone
Lose 42 lbs (3 stone)
Buy some wellies!

I've never tried Aquaban - does it work? Has anyone on here tried it? Is that what the extra weight is when I'm due on/got my period?

froot · 18/01/2011 20:22

Have had a low points day today:

egg (hard boiled) and banana (not together) 2

John West tuna lunch 5
mixed with half a chopped cucumber 0
Apple 0
WW rich choc bar 2
Bag of snackajacks 3

3 tesco finest Venison sausages 4Smile
Brown sauce splodge 1
Dry fried onions andd mushrooms 0
Mashed butternut squash 0
Dry fried courgette slices 0
Orange 0

Feel like I have eaten loads but still a bit peckish. I have got 12 points left and I have spotted some Creme Caramel baileys left from Christmas....so guess where all those points are going!

My friend came and did shred with me today and discovered why some of the weights exercises kill me.....my weights are 2.5 Kg each which is apparently quite heavy!

NormaSknockers · 18/01/2011 20:36

Yay well done on your loss Littlefish and well done on hitting some of your goals tooGrin

Fab day Froot, making me hungry reading your list Grin

You've reminded me actually Littlefish that I've reached my second goal too, to get under 12 Stone 7lbs as I was 12 Stone 6.5lbs at my weigh in!

sweetheart · 18/01/2011 20:54

Sorry about your weigh in wizzler but the time change probably does have something to do with it and at least you can perhaps look forward to a big loss next week.

Lucky - knee feels a bit stiff but doesn't seem to have swollen which is good. I think I'm going to do the cycling every other day to give it time in between to recover. I'm the same as you - if I don't want to pass out or throw up I don't consider to have worked out hard enough which is why this injury is so frustrating. Cycling wise I broke a sweat in the 20 mins but I could of managed to talk no problem.

Littlefish - well done and great new targets

Norma - I'd agree with your idea on the points - very nice to know I could have a decent takeaway within my daily points - yum yum!

I helped dd make cakes for a school charity project yesterday and forgot to say I ate some of the cake mix. We iced them today and I just couldn't resist the butter icing. Must have eaten a good couple of teaspoons!

I must must must stay on tract - I worked out if I can loose 2Ib a week between nowand my birthday (allowing for 1 weekend off which I already have booked in and I need to maintain that week) I can get a total of 18Ibs off.

Littlefish · 18/01/2011 20:55

Oh well done on hitting your second target Norma!

Perhaps next week we could all re-post our goals/set new goals as I'm sure that we'll all be starting to hit them, given some of the weight losses so far.

Lucky - well done on your 1lb loss. Only 4 lbs to go - that's fabulous!

LuckyLight · 18/01/2011 21:11

sweetheart Don't be too hard on yourself, you know the only reason you are not exercising harder is cos of your knee injury. I would point in the lower end of the scale, then if it's more and you've burned more than you think, that can only be a good thing surely? ("Stop calling me Shirley" Smile).

I was thinking about you while I was in the pool today, I think it would def be worth a try doing some pool ex's?? Maybe ask your physio what she thinks.

TIP - Bought some kit kats and single finger drifters today (double yum) just 3 pps each.

Norma well done on eating a chinese within your daily allowance!! I can do that with pizza express....feels great doesn't it? Grin

littlefish Well done on your 2lbs off..!!

sweetheart · 18/01/2011 21:23

lucky - physio said no to swimming but will ask her about aquarobic type stuff thanks. I'm looking into getting an exercise bike at home so I can do more cycling without having to go to the gym. Dh is arguing against me at the moment as I've often purchased unused equipment in the past Blush

Speaking of kitkats - someone once told me that a 5 finger kitkat is less per finger than a 2 finger kit kat because apparently they have less chocolate on them - might be worth pointing up to see.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/01/2011 21:26

froot 3 venison sausages for 4pp?

That's amazing - tesco you say?

littlefish well done

How many PP is a teaspoon of green pesto?

Been stuffing myself full of chicken today aka protein and have to admit been quite full up

StarvingMarvin · 18/01/2011 21:53

Blondes, what type of pesto is it? VAries between brands..
Sainsburys Italian green pesto 75g 9pp
Tesco Fresh green pesto 75g 10pp
Bertolli 75g 8 pp
Sains be good to yourself 90g 5pp

androbbob · 18/01/2011 22:00

Sory norma - not been ignoring you - been to the gym for a last chance workout (been watching Biggest Loser!!) before WI tomorrow Grin

Taken me an age to read and update my spreadsheet and there could be a 7lb loser in the next few days - depending upon their WI days! Keep waiting....update soon!

lucky - well done on your loss (dont worry I havent put in the sheet as I know your weekend one is the 'real' one!) - 4lbs to goal is a distant dream to me.

norma - well done on acheiving one of your goals - fab feeling!

Well done to all other losers and if you have STS then that is a postive as it is not a gain and at least you know you can maintain your weight. It should be good motivation to get a loss next week.

Re goal setting - I think the first week in feb we should set some new ones (unless you have acheived some then feel free to start a new list!). Apparently from my course setting goals by writing them down makes them more acheviable. It appears to be true here as we are hitting our targets! Baby steps will get us all to goal. Those who are nearing goal will have to stay with us to keep us all motivated as we sure will need it. A few weeks, say 5 or 6 into the diet I think a bit of complacency sets in and that is when the support on here is invaluable. Far better than the meetings as it is instant (almost) support rather than confined to weekly.

Anyway I ramble.... Happy Birthday for tomorrow to starvin - make sure you point that birthday cake but enjoy your day!!

Back tomorrow!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/01/2011 22:35

starvin salca or something like that - the well known brand that also has red pesto

Is a teaspoon 10g? Or how else can I work out the amount?

gibbberish · 18/01/2011 22:42

Yeeeeehaaaa! Have lost 4 1/2 lbs! So pleased Grin

Had planned to have a bit of a blow out tonight after weight in but felt so motivated was pretty good and stayed within my pps.

Have bought extra light philadelphia on your recommendations. Will try it tomorrow.

Oh must share - I think I mentioned that our business competitors had gone into liquidation which has meant quite a lot of new business for us in the last week or so. Well a national company phoned us today and has given us a contract for supplying them with all their parts Shock So pleased - will be moving into our million pound villa yet lol.

Well done to all the 'losers' Smile

My goal for this week - more exercise and gain my half stone award next WI. Night all!

wizzler · 18/01/2011 22:44

Its now 4 hours since WI, and am not so chilled about staying the same. Have woofed a Crunchie in my own mini rebellion ... back on the tracker tomorrow!
Littlefish, well done on breaking the 2 stone threshold.
Froot, were the venison sausages tasty? They sound too good to be true!

wizzler · 18/01/2011 22:51

Gibberish you sound to be having a very good week.. go and buy some lottery numbers!

Well done on 4.5lbs

LeeWT · 18/01/2011 22:54

happy lee here, ds is home! But is looking very skinny despite being a big baby before he got sick.. Need to feed him up which is hard when he's only on bottles..

Well done littlefish, Norma, gibberish and Lucky on the losses and mini goal achievements!

Norma good job on the Chinese I think you've been realistic with the pp's and you deserved it after not using your weeklies and achieving a mini goal!

My WI is tomorrow night but by my scales there's nothing which can even mean a gain on the ww scales ifkwim.. Raging, but counting on being a two weeker and fading away by next week :-)

tonight I tried the Mexican beef recipe from the propoints folder. I reckon dog crap would have tasted better! It sounded good- lean mince stirfried with peppers onions courgette tomatos garlic onions and sweet chilli sauce but to be honest it just tasted like bolognaise without the sauce! In fact I promptly ait my crappy portion with a wrap and fat free natural yoghurt and added a jar of bolognaise sauce so dh and dd can have it tomor. What a disappointment! To compensate (I was starving!) I had to pieces of toast with real butter and 2 lindt chocs and was still within my points!

I'm going to try the courgette instead of rice idea tomorrow- whoever suggested it- do you peel it or no?

LuckyLight · 18/01/2011 22:58

sweetheart If you feel you can, you could mention to your physio that you have a friend who is a clinical specialist in both knees, and hydrotherapy (Grin) but that I live far away so can't actually see you, but have suggested that you ask her. Swimming is different cos most people do breast stroke which is very twisting on the kneee. I hope she/you doesn't/don't think I'm interfering, but I know how very frustrating it is not to be able to exercise when trying to lose weight.

blondes I had to chuckle at your pesto question. DH cooks a lovely sausage pasts recipe which has pesto in it, and when I was working out the PPs for the recipe, I somehow managed to work out pesto as 64 pps per 100g......!!! It made no sense, and I double checked it (or so I thought). DH then worked it out as 6 I think Hmm.....

Gibberish Yay!!! you go girl!!! Very impressive loss!!

Wizzler....allow yourself your crunchie, and get back on the wagon tomorrow (that's an order!). We all need a bit of something naughty to console ourselves, just don't go mad!!

Out for dinner at a friends tomorrow night. Very lovely supportive friend who is cooking us cod in courgette and tomato and aubergine sauce...don't you just love friends like that, I am just so lucky !!! (hence the name Grin).

Night night all...

Anyone else watching my big fat gypsy wedding..?

Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock
Blondeshavemorefun · 18/01/2011 23:02

wizzler sorry you sts but don't give up hope - enjoy the crunchy and start again Tom

Lee fab ds is home :)

gibberish yah - well done

I've just had a rocky bar and tbh not worth 3pp :(

Did have a yummy chicken salad with 90g chicken 3pp and 60g chicken roll 2pp and dh made the salad - was lovely

Dh also had great chunks of cheddar but I didn't

Cheese is so bad on ww that I tend to avoid

LuckyLight · 18/01/2011 23:03

ahhhh, LeeWT, glad DS is home. Hope he gains weight soon.

Talking of which, I had a patient this week whose daughter is under mental health team cos she has severe anorexia and weighs 4 stone Shock. She has been told she has to have a McDonalds every day!! Her Mum was telling me.."she did really well last week and put on 2 lbs".

I couldn't help but think about the contrast of us all losing weight and her being so very underweight. I would genuinely rather be over weight. Poor thing.

LuckyLight · 18/01/2011 23:05

Blondes I too avoid cheese. Didn't even have it in the house until I had the DDs.
Although we do have a raclette (drool) and have Sis and BIL coming over for one soon.

froot · 18/01/2011 23:31

Blondes yes venison sausages 3 Pp for 2 or 1 Pp for 1 (due to the rounding thing) so 4 Pp for 3 and they are absolutely delish (as long as you can get past the bambi thoughts) . This is for tesco finest ones . Actually I bought some quorn sausages today and when I compared the labels venison ones same calories more protein less carbs and less fat ! Wish I had left the quern ones on the shelf ! On the tesco pack the info on the front is for 2 sausages but on the quorn pack it's only for one - if I had twigged wouldn't have bought them .....

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/01/2011 00:08

froot I had venison casserole a few weeks ago ina pub. Was yummy

Have NO problem Eating bambi Grin ESP if helps the diet - sure daisy the cow and karri the lamb would agree :)

So do I need to work out the jar of pesto using calculator?

Willabywallaby · 19/01/2011 07:16

So today is the day I'm going to join up Smile. DH is going skiing for 5 days on Friday and my Mum is coming to stay, I'm hoping it will be easier to start without his meals to think about.

LuckyLight · 19/01/2011 08:13

WW well done! Another bit of motivation for you....I just did a cheeky weigh in at home and for the first time in over 12 years, I was under 10 stone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to maintain it to use it as my saturday weigh in, but OMG, the shere excitement of seeing 9 stone something!!

Propoints WORKS!!!!!!

NormaSknockers · 19/01/2011 09:30

StarvingMarvin · 19/01/2011 09:38

Blondes Sacla classic basil pesto is 1pp per 10g.

Lee So please for you that ds is home!!

I have managed to end up with 2 birthday cakes! Argh! I'm going to be good though and just have a small slice of the nicest one. Really don't want to ruin all the progress I have made in the past few weeks!

Willaby Good luck, I only started 3 weeks ago and have had a strong start and am actually enjoying the diet if that is possible!
