Whether you need to lose a little or a lot you'll be right at home, we're friendly, supportive and we're all in the same boat!

androbb is our resident stats checker and helps to track what we've lost as a thread so far, nothing more motivating then seeing just how much weight is coming off.

Feel free to dive in and join us Grin

Sorry Wizzler - just read your post again! I'm being particularly thick today. Congratulations on you 3.5lb loss. That's great!

sweetheart · 12/01/2011 21:22

ok, this is going to be a looooooong post!

Have been totally manic at work today so only just managed to catch up on 2 days worth - plus been to the hospital today and it's bad news, I do need to have an operation on my knee which means at least 6 weeks on crutches and very limited exercise for the foreseeable future which somewhat ruins my "get super trim and sexy for my 30th birthday in March" plan Sad

On the upside I went to my 2nd meeting this evening and have lost 3Ibs in my first week - woohoo!

well done to everyone else with loses, there have been some great ones this week!

welcome to sparkle and lorelai

Norma - thanks for the crossaint tip, I've brought some

Littlefish - good luck for your 2 stone mark this week!

luckylight - I watched biggest looser too. I wish they had spent less time dramatising the weigh in and more time going through their food intake and exercise regime. They said they do 4 gym visits a day but didn't say how long they were AND they didn't explain quite how long it takes to cycle a half marathon which I think should have been said.

leeWT - FAB NEWS about your baby, congrats! I notice tuns of positive changes when I'm lighter - more energy, my skin is better, and I also find I sweat more when I'm carrying extra weight which is not nice!

gibberish - really sorry to hear about your ill household. dh has had it and he's been really very ill and has worried me! Hope you are all muh better soon.

Right, better think of some goals to add....
androb - lose 7lbs by 7th Feb

benbenandme · 12/01/2011 21:43

One week done and 3.5lbs lost for me Smile
My goal is almost the same as Wizzlers, to lose 23.5lbs by the summer holidays, which would take me to 10 and a half stone.

collision · 12/01/2011 21:53

Lost 3lb tonight!

I was 13st 10lb

Am now 12st 1 lb

I want to be 10st 7lb by August.

androbbob · 12/01/2011 22:07

Evening ladis - just a quick pop in before I catch up!

As expected I gained a couple of pounds this week. Now I need to prepare a strategy to lose them and anther two this week! So I am going to point everything in sight and then use only 29 or my weekly points. Combined with better food choices than last week should work...shouldnt it??!! So I need your help! I am off to plan for the next two days and focus on those. Nothing major going on so need to incporporate as much free or low point food as possible. I am going to have a glass of water before each meal and snack on the five satsumas that are decorating my desk at work!!

Back later - need to finish some meting minutes off....dullsville

LeeWT · 12/01/2011 22:17

Hi all.. Well 4lbs off at the weigh in tonight!!

That's the first two of my mini goals so new goals are--

lose 4.5 lbs to reach a stone and head promptly for the 15 stone barrier!!

But I'll be honest myself and my friends stopped at the chipper on the way home and I really regretted it as I was almost undoing or undermining my achievement so from now on we are going to treat ourselves but with food from the supermarket like fajitas and salad etc.. So that's my lesson learned!

Well done to all the other losers on the thread (chuckles to herself thinking her dad would be proud of that awful joke)

:-)

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2011 22:20

fab isnt it collision when you go sown and starts a lower no in stones

fab weight loss's ladies

hope i lose on friday .....

gibbberish · 12/01/2011 22:23

Thanks sweetheart Smile. Hopefully they will all be on the mend soon. Lots of nasty bugs about atm. Sorry to hear about your knee op - ouch! But well done on losing 3lb!!!

Well done to all the other losers too!

LeeWT · 12/01/2011 22:25

Androbbob you are right planning is the key!

I am thinking of making up a batch of nopoints soup and having 2 poached eggs, 2 turkey rashers, mushrooms and 1 toast (7pp) for brekkie, soup and baguette for lunch (5pp), fruit and the ww spicy beef recipe with rice (10pp) for dinner = total 22

On fri I'm going to have oatsosimple (3pp) for brekkie, wrap with tikka chicken, roast peppers, mayo and lettuce (8pp) for lunch and ww curry recipe with rice (10pp) = total 21 which allows for pappadums and mango chutney too..

Long story short I'm going to alternate high point breakfasts and lunches.

To make up for chipper i'm allowing myself 20 extra points this week.. Hope that helps a bit?

androbbob · 12/01/2011 23:21

Phew - finished notes and caught up on thread! Some fabulous weight losses - the weekly total is totting up very quickly Grin

I think I agree with littlefish - to use daily points for good foods and dip into weekly allowance for the treats. That should sort me out for this week - sounds like a great way to do it.

lucky - not too bothered about WI day as my spreadsheet seems to be in order Blush. I am not a saddo really! It probably works well as I put the names in when people first posted losses and then any newbies I have slotted in the right place. Ok I really am sad! It has different colours as well!!

Gibberish - that slow cooker pork recipe sounds good if you can write it out - got some lean pork in freezer so could do it at the weekend!

Time for bed now I think! Been to the gym and really pushed myself and it felt good!

Littlefish · 13/01/2011 06:41

Androbbob - I think I love you!

Did you ever post on the "I love spreadsheets" thread? I have a spreadsheet which has been running for 6 years, with every christmas present I've bought, who for, and how much I paid for it! I also used to have a 3 week rotational meal planner, with shopping lists generated from it!

Furball · 13/01/2011 07:49

littlefish - you can also have bolognese/curry/chilli etc on bed of cauliflower and you can hardly tell the difference between that and rice - Honest!

wizzler · 13/01/2011 07:49

Well done to Collision, Benben, Leewt and Sweetheart.
I am typing this, so it's in print and I can't wriggle out of it! Instead of sitting on my sofa every night as soon as I put the kids to bed, I vow to tackle all the jobs I normally put off ( sorting out my wardrobe, clearing the loft of all the Xmas wrapping etc, on the grounds that it has got to be better for me then sitting on my bum. Will try to do proper exercise as well ( as long as its not too cold!)

TartyMcFarty · 13/01/2011 08:26

Sorry, no time for a proper post right now, just wanted to check in.

Had a bad day yesterday - tired, emotional and very hungry when I got home so ended up eating lots of Christmas cake. The DH served up a huge portion of risotto, which I promptly ate.

But the beauty of this plan seems to be that if I track the blowout as normal, I'm still within my limits with those 49 lovely extras. Back to it today - DD only woke once in the night so am less tired. We'll see if that changes by the time I finish work this evening Hmm

TartyMcFarty · 13/01/2011 08:31

NormaSknockers · 13/01/2011 09:19

Good morning one and all - how are feeling this fine Thursday? Fighting fit for a good week or ready to throw in the towel?

Wizzler well done on your 3.5lbs loss, excellent, how do you feel? Thrilled to bits? Grin

Oh sweetheart I'm sorry to hear you need to have an op, don't give up hope though, even without exercise you can get that new figure you're after. Would the phyiso be able to advise of you some more gentler exercises you could be doing prior to the op or is it all a no go? Well done on your fab loss, way to go you!

benben another excellent loss to add to the stat sheet - well done Grin

collision and yet another brilliant loss, my goodness we're romping ahead Grin

androbb sorry to hear about your gain, at least we're in the club together Wink My plan this week (and working so far) is to not touch my weekly points in the hope that by not using them (I usually use all of them) I will be able to lose what I gained and then some. I too am being very strict, I've even cut out my daily hot chocolate just for this week Shock (Those who know me well will know I live for my daily hot chocolate Grin) I've been planning the evening meals so that I can then work out what my points are for the day and stick to them. Fingers crossed we both have better weigh ins next week!

Well done Lee and a fantastic loss, brilliant stuff Grin

Days like that do drop up Tarty and it can be so hard to fight it when you're tired but you've made an excellent step by pointing it all - that's where you can stop it snowballing, by working it out, writing it down and staying on track so well done you for pulling it back, it's not easy.

Yesterday was a good food day again;

Eggy bread & bacon medallions - 4 PPs

WW soup & 3 crispbakes - 5 PPs
Mini corner yogurt - 3PPs

Roasted chicken drumsticks with chorizo, potatos and veggies - 11 PPs (big, filling portion too!)
WW double chocolate brownie dessert - 4 PPs
WW caramel shortcake bar - 3 PPs

Tonights dinner is about to go in the slow cooker; sausages with onion gravy which I will serve with mash, yorkshires and veg. My portion will be 11 PPs as I'm just going to bung my low fat sausages in with the other butcher sausages as they're easy enough to tell apart Wink

Blimey - it's been around 70 posts since my lost confession! (which was only Tuesday lunch time)...

Well done (roll call of success follows): Littlefish, Lorelai, Wizzler, LeeWT, Collision, Sweetheart and Benbenandme on your great losses (hope I didn't miss anyone)Smile

I had a 2lb loss last night which makes 20lbs in 9 weeks. Am pleased with this progress - but still seems a long way to go! - another 2 stone and 6lb before I get to a BMI of 25 (and tbh I want to go a few pounds lower than that).

On Tuesday night, the night prior to my weigh in I caved in and had a mini binge - 2 jack daniels, 2 big bowls of muesli and 2 cheese dippers ( I don't know why I did everything in stereo!) so conseqently I put myself through a Biggest Loser style 'Last chance workout' yesterday - did 3 routines from Davina's DVD (Aerobic fit, top fit and kick fit) which lasted 90 minutes and then 10 minutes on the exercise bike! Cripes - I shall remember that gruelling work out next time I feel like raiding the fridge!

Going - I meant to say about the classes - you mention that your dh won't be back in time for you to attend an evening class....I had the same thing with mine - he is invariably not home until 20.00 or later, but I spoke to him about how important it was for me to go to class and insisted he marked it out in his diary to be home every Wednesday by 6.30 for the next few months - and to my surprise he offered little resistance. He is however self-employed so has the latitude to do this...is it at all negotiable with your dh? Sorry - just tell me to butt out, by I do believe classes work better than online

Gibbberish - I'd love that pork in red cabbage recipe if you have time to post it - am well into my slow cooker Smile

hmc · 13/01/2011 10:36

Sorry androbbob - I missed that you had gained (just re-read Norma's post), commiserations, always a bummer when that happens but quite good sometimes for regrouping and refocussing yourself?.....oh, and thanks androbbob for being our resident statistician - tis a valuable service!

NormaSknockers · 13/01/2011 10:44

Well done on another brilliant loss hmc all going very well Grin Your mini binge doesn't sound too bad, I did giggle at having everything in pairs Grin Well done for having a big workout to work it off, definately did the trick by the sounds of it!

androbb how are we doing with the 5lb and 1 stone - we must have someone nearly there for the first one I think, sorry I've lost track a little Blush

OP posts:
bandgeek · 13/01/2011 10:56

Hi everyone, can I join too? I signed up to WW online last night and am determind to lose at least 1 1/2 stone.

I weighed 13st 2oz after having my youngest DC nearly 5 years ago and lost 2 stone, but it has been creeping on again ever since. When I last weighed myself I was 12st 8oz Sad

I had fun eating over christmas, new year and my birthday but am now ready to lose it Smile

vnmum · 13/01/2011 12:14

Hi all, this is a flying visit. Just back from WI and lost 3lb ! Yay.

I'm just off to shred and run and will catch up with the thread later

TartyMcFarty · 13/01/2011 12:27

Well done hmc and vnmum. You're spurring me on Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/01/2011 14:02
