WeightWatchers ProPoints Plan - A New Year, a New You!

1001 replies

NormaSknockers · 30/12/2010 10:18

Welcome one and all - if you're following the new WW ProPoints plan then this is the thread for you!

Whether you need to lose a little or a lot you'll be right at home, we're friendly, supportive and we're all in the same boat!

androbb is our resident stats checker and helps to track what we've lost as a thread so far, nothing more motivating then seeing just how much weight is coming off.

Feel free to dive in and join us Grin

Evening all!

Popping in to say that last week this thread lost a total of 18.5 lbs - thats great! I am hoping this week will be outstanding with all the new starters on the ProPoints plan! Norma - there are some getting closer to the losing half a stone mark - some three, four and 6 pounds lost so far - so I think next week may see a winner or two! Wont be me though as I am on for a gain this week!

For those who dont know - I am the resident stats checker - so I have a spreadsheet and tally up all weekly losses (and gains!) - it started from the 28th December but if people had put a bigger than usual gain on following christmas I just omitted their gains for that week as I am kind like that! Not mentioning any names!

I trawled through at lunchtime and have extracted out some of the mini goals set by our lovely posters - I have listed them below - if it is wrong please copy and paste the text and correct it! If you are not on the list, copy and paste the text and add your name and goals to the list. If that makes no sense then ignore me!

androb - lose 7lbs by 7th Feb
hmc - lose 7lbs by end Jan
collision - get to goal by August
Littlefish - get 10%; lose 2 stone then get into next stone bracket down
Lucky - get under 10st and maintain by end Jan
Norma - get 5%, then under 12st 7 and then 10% and then goal
vnmum - get 10%; do 30 day shred for 30 days and get to goal mid-feb
Wynken - get to 2.5 stone; get into next stone down bracket then 3 stones then 3.5 stones
LeeWT - Lose 1.5lbs to regain first silver seven; get into next stone bracket and then get to 1 stone loss

So there you go!

androbbob · 11/01/2011 21:25

OK missed this one!

Littlefish - massive congrats for achieving your first mini goal - getting your 10% - well done!! Now go for your 2 stone loss girl!

Anyone else close to their first mini goal??

Littlefish · 11/01/2011 21:29

Oh well done andobbob. What a great summary.

I have another, sort of non-weight related target, so it doesn't need to go down on your chart.

I want to lose enough weight to be able to buy a pair of wellies! At the moment, my calves are too big to fit any wellies available Sad. It's a bit crap because I live down a farm track, with fields all around. I would like to have a pair of wellies so I can go for a big, muddy walk.

I'll measure the circumference of my calves, and perhaps one of you could measure the circumference of the inside of a pair of size 6 wellies and I'll see how far I've got to go.

Littlefish · 11/01/2011 21:30

Thank you androbbob - ticking off my first target feels great Grin

mumto2andnomore · 11/01/2011 22:03

androb - lose 7lbs by 7th Feb
hmc - lose 7lbs by end Jan
collision - get to goal by August
Littlefish - get 10%; lose 2 stone then get into next stone bracket down
Lucky - get under 10st and maintain by end Jan

mumto2 -to lose a stone

Lorelai · 11/01/2011 22:27

I like to have my treat the night before weigh in as then I know how many weekly points I can blow :)

My mini goal is to lose the same amount as my baby weighs; will probably be around 11 lbs.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/01/2011 23:44

androb - lose 7lbs by 7th Feb
hmc - lose 7lbs by end Jan

Blondes - lose a stone (well 11 lbs now as lost 3 last week) and get into my lovely sexy suede trousers easily

Brought them when I lost 4 stone before and expensive but soooooo sexy and can't fit into them so although I want to get my weight back to where I was 11 stone - I also need to lose inches to get into them and do them up - can't at the moment Blush

Well done lucky and littlefish for your loss's

I'm drooling at the malteasers tho smarties are my fav

Alas no poundshop near me :(

LuckyLight · 12/01/2011 07:04

Thanks androbbob for doing that with the goals. I'm 1 lb away from 10 stone!!!! Got to maintain it too though.

I watched Biggest Loser last night (recorded from Monday). OMG, I was in tears nearly the whole way through!! It was v emotional.
I did think it was a bit harsh expecting people who are clearly so unfit to cycle 13 miles in one go as the first bit of exercise they did though?? It would take me about an hour to cycle 13 miles, so for them maybe 1.5-2 hrs???? Quite a lot for someone having done nothing don't you think? No wonder they were all passing out etc!!!!

I did get annoyed with the people not really trying. What a massive opportunity to go on a programme like that and then blow it all.

Anyway, off to work now, will check in tonight and no doubt have a few pages to get through!!!

Have a good day all, and BE GOOD!!!

Lucky XXX

NormaSknockers · 12/01/2011 07:35

Good morning all Grin

Oh fabulous work androbb you are a little star Grin Sadly I did get my 5% last week but lost it again this week - arse!

Ok re the 7lb loss & 1 stone loss trying to go for just 1 person for each (the first person to reach each if that makes sense) however if it so happens that 2 or more people reach it at the same time then I might have to make the prizes a little smaller and divide them out Wink

bigTillyMint - lose 3lb by half term and another 4lb by Easter!

I know it doesn't sound like alot, but it's the bit that I always yo-yo on - put on over holidays and then have to try to lose. And we are away at both half-term and Easter....

bigTillyMint · 12/01/2011 09:12

Lucky, just seen you are aiming to get under 10 stone and maintain (that's the hard bit for me Grin) - is that your final goal?

WingsTHEangel · 12/01/2011 09:25

Morning all will add my short and very long term goal.

NormaSknockers · 12/01/2011 09:30

Well I have added incentive as it looks like we may well get our holiday this year and that will be in July so I have 25 weeks to go. To reach goal by then would be brilliant, I would need to lose 1lb a week to achieve it as I have 23.5lbs to go. I guess to be sensible and realistic I should set myself the aim of shifting another stone by then which would still be great. A lovely incentive for me Grin

Hi ladies,

I was wondering whether I could join you. I joined weight watchers this week and have set off to lose the six stone I am overweight.

I've done weight watchers before and lost 55lbs but due to overeating work pressures and pregnancy I put it all back on and more! My DD is 14lb and it shocked me to think I am carrying an extra 6 of her around!

I am really pleased with the new weight watchers programme and really believe that I will lose weight for the last time.

NormaSknockers · 12/01/2011 09:49

Hi sparkle yes of course and welcome, we're growing every day Grin (well the thread is, thankfuly our waistlines aren't Grin)

We're a very supportive thread and here to answer and questions you might have so just dive in!

Morning all,

Just back from asda and for those without a poundland near them, most of the WW cakes and meals are £1 in asda and the frozen meals and desserts are 5 for £5. I also noticed some WW thick sliced ham which I think was 2pp per slice but could have been 1. It seems they are bringing alot more foods out now and also most of the shops have offers on them because the target audience in Jan is dieters.

I resisted having a sneak peak this morning as official WI is tomorrow morning. I really hope i lose 2lb as that is what my scales showed over the weekend. I have eaten all my 49 but earned 24 activity points so far (will probably do another 8 today) but so far have only used 3 of them so after all that i am hoping for a decent loss

Just back from WI and have lost 4lbs in my first week!

NormaSknockers · 12/01/2011 12:53

Bum, wish I had an Asda locally, Tesco do very little in the way of WW foods. Morrisons were better but I thik Asda are even better!

Well done on resisiting the urge to have a sneaky weigh in vnmum good luck for tomorrow!

Tilly you've lost 7lbs, or do you mean you've done it as in adding your mini goals?

Well done Lorelai that's brilliant!!

Tilly My final goal is between 9 st 10-12 lbs. That's cos if I'm 9 st 12 lbs on WW scales, with clothes on, I would probably be 9 st 10 at home in the nud!!!

Thought I'd better check in on my lunch break, to keep up with the fast moving thread!

Lunch was waitrose lentil and bacon soup - 6 pps and absolutely lovely! and a grapefruit.

Laters ladies X

Littlefish · 12/01/2011 13:23

Home made courgette soup and lovely granary bread for lunch.

Yummmmmmmmmmy.

Bolognaise sauce tonight, but I'm going to try having it on a bed of cabbage to keep my carb points down. I'll see how many points I have left at supper time before I make a final decision.

Welcome sparkle and well done Lorelai.

I'm looking forward to having lost 3st 4 as it's the weight of my dd. It will be a really clear indication of how much I've lost! Also, if I pick her up, it will remind me of how it felt, every minute of every day, to have carried that extra weight around.

LeeWT · 12/01/2011 13:59

lorelai well done!! That's fab in one week!

For those talking about the weight of their dc that really made me think. I was 16 9 starting ww in november, while the last time I was happy was at 14 4, overall my daren't hope goal would be 12 stone.. So if I got to 13 stone that is dd (2 stone 8lbs) and ds (14lbs) together.

Imagine? Surely I wod have way more energy without lugging that around. Do those of you who've lost loads feel it in terms of energy?

Lastly I've decided that I will run my weekly points from the day after my weigh in, that way I can divide my weekly points for a treat at the weekend and a treat the night of my weigh in! So i've 22 left for tonight!

Wish me luck, will check in later x

gibbberish · 12/01/2011 14:13

Contacted them about the bb app too going so hopefully we will hear soon!

Hi sparkle I've just joined too. Everyone is very nice here. Mind you I haven't started bugging them with all my questions yet Grin

Well had planned to do the wii personal trainer aerobics but three of my girls have this coughing flu thing and are lying around the living room slowly dying. dd3 is the worst - has a very sore tummy and a high temperature. Can't get her to eat or drink anything or take calpol. If she isnt any better tomorrow will have to take her to the doctor poor thing. Sad
