Welcome one and all - if you're following the new WW ProPoints plan then this is the thread for you!

Whether you need to lose a little or a lot you'll be right at home, we're friendly, supportive and we're all in the same boat!

androbb is our resident stats checker and helps to track what we've lost as a thread so far, nothing more motivating then seeing just how much weight is coming off.

Feel free to dive in and join us Grin

OMG, completely un-WW related, but so excited and can't tell anyone in RL, but just spoke to my Sister (who I am very close to) and she is TTC.....!!

androbbob · 10/01/2011 21:41

Bother - wrote a long post and lost it!

lucky - loving the photos and have taken note of weigh-in day! Grin

norma - loving your latest photo as well - hope your weigh in tonight was not too bad. Will update tracking sheet tomorrow - need to add on mini goals to see where everyone is. Watching Biggest Loser at the moment!

Everyone else - waves!

Had a bad couple of days - started well but then ate too much rubbish. No way I can turn that around this week so will accept the gain as it is my fault and mine only! Back to my aerobics class today which was fun if hard!

Also started an NHS Weight Management course today - it is 6 weeks and is not a diet plan - focuses on strategies, goal setting and management techniques for keeping to healthy diet - different topic each week. She had a 1lb lump of fat and a strip of 5lb fat which was surprisingly heavy. We all tried to wrap it around ourselves! You can get weighed as well - so I did as it should make me focus on what I eat at the weekends Grin

NormaSknockers · 10/01/2011 22:02

Evening all,

Gained 1.5lbs, not surprised, never mind, back on the wagon and I will have a good week next week :) I'm going along early next week as I get the honour of helping my leader to do the weigh in. It was heaving tonight, lots of new people joining, so she said she'd like herself and someone else to do the weighing in together to get through the queue a bit quicker so I volunteered - quite excited (and nervous, don't want to cock it up!).

Fantastic weight loss bluebump well done you Grin

blondes with the meals that don't appear in the eating out guide you just have to try and piece them together yourself using points values for the things in the meal :)

androbb well done for not getting down about the bad days and for getting back on track, you'll lose anything you've gained quickly so don't worry. The course sounds really good too, very motivating I would think? Let us know how you get on with it, sounds like a really fab idea Grin

Tarty I think it is due to the protein re the cheese, though I'm not certai, glad it didn't go up though Wink

Awww Lucky that's lovely about your sister :)

LuckyLight · 10/01/2011 22:19

Norma that's not too bad, and at least you know why. You reckoned 1-2 lbs so I think you did OK actually.

My meeting was rammed today aswell.

Anyway, must get to bed. Just remembered I have a washing machine full of darks to hang out, and it's 10:20pm....FFS!!

dyzzidi · 10/01/2011 22:36

Well my first meeting was tonight and I am a few pounds heavier than I thought. It seems like quite a nice group not to big with lots of friendly faces. Reading though my folder now so wish me luck!

LeeWT · 10/01/2011 23:22

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

It's hard getting used to how to calculate new points though i've two great apps on my phone and that way I look like i'm texting in tesco rather than looking like a complete eejit manipulating the wheel and two kids!

Good find today was a tray of tesco value chunky tikka chicken breast is only 7 points for the whole tray. I used about a third in a wrap with lettuce mayo and roast peppers and was delighted with myself!

The new system also has me eating fruit - it's a whole new me!!

My baby (Andrew) hasn't been released yet tonight is night 9 of his most recent stay so I'm excited to maybe get him home asap!

In the Chinese I get veggie chow mein (6pp), 1/2 portion of chips 100g (7pp) and few spoons curry sauce (3pp).. Random I know but I love it and it's only 16pp is that too good to be true!?

going · 11/01/2011 08:22

LeeWT hope your baby is home very soon.

Did the dreaded weigh in this morning and am 7lbs heavier than I was 3 weeks ago. It was what I expected but still upsetting. As I have signed up to WW onlne I am really going to go for it now!

NormaSknockers · 11/01/2011 09:27

Good morning everyone,

All ready for another good day? What's everyone having for breakfast today? I'm thinking either eggy bread or a sausage omlette....

Well done on getting to your first meeting dyzzi the folder is very handy I find, how are you feeling about it?

Sounds like you're doing really well Lee, the wrap sounds delicious! Sorry to hear A is back in hospital, hope he's soon home with you but feel like you've left half yourself behind having him away from you :(

Good for you getting yourself signed up online going you'll find it really useful, you can do it Grin

Food today will be (I think);

Sausage omlette - 6 PPs

WW soup with 4 crispbakes - 6 PPs

Meatball pasta (from the WW SS book) - 10 PPs
WW Brownie dessert - 4 PPs

That leaves 4 PPs for snacks :)

Dinner might change though but it would still be 10 PPs or less

Hello Ladies

I have started the new pro points a week ago. I joined up on line and I am tracking points on there. Have also download a points app for my phone.
I've found it ok so far, apart from eating at the MIL on sunday massive portions and homemade chicken pie.
I have lots of weight to shift. My first goal is to be a few sizes smaller for when we go on holiday in August. I don't want them to give me a seat belt extender.

NormaSknockers · 11/01/2011 09:50

Hello Wings and welcome, sound like you're all set, well done for getting started. Wishing you luck, you'll be right at home here Grin

mumto2andnomore · 11/01/2011 09:52

I started WW online last wek, weighed myself today and Ive lost 6lb ! Very pleased !

Have stuck to my points all week and havent had any of the 49, think I will try just to use them if i go out for meals etc as day to day I find the 29 enough.

well done everyone else who has lost

NormaSknockers · 11/01/2011 10:07

Well done your brilliant loss mumto I lose 6lbs in my first week too - vert satisfying isn't it Grin

Well my breakfast plans are quashed as no eggs - humph! No idea what to have now....

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 11/01/2011 10:34

lost not lose :)

Ended up having sausages on toast for breakfast so 7 PPs instead of 6, I'll just have less crispbakes at lunch to balance it out :)

OP posts:
Littlefish · 11/01/2011 10:36

Oh well don mumto2 - what a great first week.

WingsTheAngel - I've lost 2 stone and have 6 or 7 still to lose. We are a mixed bunch on here - some with a smaller amount to lose, some with lots. We're all very supportive though. Your first goal is very sensible and achievable. I love the idea of setting yourself a target to sit comfortably in a plane, without a belt extender. I might adopt that one myself if you don't mind!

Norma - how about 25g porridge, semi skimmed milk, teaspoon of golden syrup and a banana - only 6 points!

I've weighing in tonight - and dreading it! Never mind. A playground friend texted me today to say that she'd noticed yesterday that I'd lost weight, and I was looking great. How lovely! No one else at dd's school has noticed and I was beginning to get a bit desperate that the weight loss would never show Blush

Littlefish · 11/01/2011 10:37

Norma - too late with my porridgy suggestion. Sausages on toast sounds delicious.

NormaSknockers · 11/01/2011 10:40

Don't panic about tonight too much Littlefish just deal with it as and when, You know you can do it so just have a better week this week Wink

Thank you for the brekfast suggestion, not keen on porridge (or bananas) myself though the DC love it Grin I'm just a right fussy cow Grin

OP posts:
Littlefish · 11/01/2011 10:43

So the porridge with bananas suggestion wasn't a great one then Grin.

Weigh-in last night - I put on 2 1/2 over Christmas. Well, it was probably more like 4, but I was being careful and trying to exercise more since school started back!
And the meeting was mobbed. They must have weighed in 150 - 200 people Shock

Well done to all of you who have managed to lose Envy

I am now attempting to get back into writing everything down again.

LeeWT · 11/01/2011 11:08

going I know only too well how dispiriting it is to see such a seemingly big gain but actually you could have 7lbs off in two weeks and sometimes it takes a shock to motivate you..

This morning I was drying my hair when my towel fell off in front of the mirror - jeeeesus not a pretty sight - but helpful not just to motivate you but realize you NEED this for your health and your kids..

My starting goal is 2 stone off, then I'll set a new one!

norma your pics are a great inspiration!

mumto2 that's a brill start!!

Oh and I started this thread because I'm new to propoints and need all the pearls of wisdom I can get.. It'll be useful to have all menu ideas in one place too ..

Thanks for the welcome, I have managed to lose 5lb despite the MIL pie Grin My weigh in day is going to be a friday morning.

I'm going to make pork burger for tea tonight using left over pork from last night.Potato wedges using fry light.

I use Asda porridge oats 50g is 5 points and a teaspoon of sugar.

vnmum · 11/01/2011 11:13

Morning all.
Mumto well done on that fab loss.
Norma That gain is not bad and you were expecting about 2 so it is less than that. I gained 2 last week and i am sure i will have it gone this week. You have such a positive outlook on this plan that i know you won't let it get you down Smile

well I did a run last night before tea and had a yummy tea of salmon, new pots and veg.

This morning for breakfast i had

45g Quaker oat granola (5pp)
100g onken no fat vanilla yog (1pp) and some tinned fruit in juice, drained (0pp)

It was lovely for a change and will probably be a nice summer breakfast too. it didn't fill me quite as much as porridge but i could add more fruit i suppose. I just had 2 clementines as a snack mid morning which sorted me out.

Tea is spag bol, homemade (5pp)
150g cooked pasta (4pp) (i normally have 200g but i'm trying to cut back on my carbs)

Lunch will be a mushroom 3 egg omelette (5pp) with 30g mozzarella (3pp) and maybe some 0pp soup.

good luck for any WI's today

NormaSknockers · 11/01/2011 11:21

You'll lose that nice and quickly Tilly don't worry, it's so easily done. I gained 1.5lbs this week and didn't even have Christmas as an excuse Grin

Good goal Lee what about having a few mini goals too, just to help you along the way? Maybe something like 7lbs off as goal 1, then goal 2 5% - that's only a suggestion though feel free to ignore me Wink

Thanks vnmum I'm very focussed again this week, I even jogged on the spot whilst cooking my breakfast and doing the washing up Grin Plus I took the long route home after dropping DD off at school to add an extra 10 minutes to the walk!
