Welcome one and all - if you're following the new WW ProPoints plan then this is the thread for you!

Whether you need to lose a little or a lot you'll be right at home, we're friendly, supportive and we're all in the same boat!

androbb is our resident stats checker and helps to track what we've lost as a thread so far, nothing more motivating then seeing just how much weight is coming off.

wynken have you been doing much on the kinect? i have got your shape and dance central but haven't had time to use them yet as DH is insisting on playing his games on the xbox. i can see a new xbox in the pipeline unless he gets so busy with work that he doesn't have time to play, then it will be all mine, lol

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 07/01/2011 13:42

Going, 27lbs since Sept is really good going. I've got 8lbs more than you to lose, really want to get it done by next Christmas.

VNMum, I have been rubbish on Kinect this week and it was interesting to see I lost 0.5lb this week versus 1.5lb Xmas week when I was using it a lot. Just walked dog so will leave it today but hope to use it a fair bit over weekend.

lobsters · 07/01/2011 13:55

Well I only gained a lb over Christmas, which I'm really pleased with given how much I ate. It's going OK so far this week, I seem to eat about 31 points or so a day, and use a small number of the weekly points, but we'll see what the result it. I've also been the gym, will try and do some wii dancing tonight.

This weekend will be tricky as it's DD's birthday so there will be lots of cake around

LuckyLight · 07/01/2011 14:17

Afternoon all.

Just caught up, lots of posts! Farewll to the lovely Furball and good luck with SW. I've never done SW, but I can imagine it must be hard to get used to a new system when you are so used to something else.

Welcome new people too!!

I've been a bit naughty last night and today. I don't feel unwell as such, like I did, but I am def lacking in energy (despite making good choices food-wise). I just feel a bit 'pooped' really. Dropped DDs at school/playgroup and had 4 hrs to myself. Had to go to town, do food shopping, then cleaned (scrubbed on my hands and knees!) kitchen floor, hoovered, hung washing out, emptied dishwasher, feel exhausted! But all these things need doing!

After 'rich tea-gate' last night, I then had a moment of weakness in town and bought a double decker. It was delicious, but bit annoyed with myself as I'd taken a bananan with me! I think I was just feeling a bit feak and weeble...IYKWIM! I reckon I burned most of it off pushing the feckin trolley around and doing all that housework anyway.

On the plus side, I bumped into 2 friends who I hadn't seen for months, and both commented without me saying anything about dieting on how much weight I had lost (prob about 1.5 stone since I last saw them). Felt really nice as I feel a bit 'stagnant' at the moment with Christmas etc.

OK, Sky plus set for biggest loser on Monday night. The other ones do sound good, need to check out this hot chick too Wink Grin.

Right, better go and do something productive.

Dinner tonight, Butternutsquash and red onion roasted, then add pasta and low fat creme fraiche, low points, filling and DELICIOUS!!!

Lucky XXX

Furball · 07/01/2011 15:50

Thanks to you all for your well wishes Smile

I had a bit of a todo cancelling my monthly pass as they had started to process the payment which is due on the 19th Hmm

They were being very nice to me saying there isn't anything they could do now, so I might as well carry on the diet for 6 weeks. I said - you would say that, but I don't see why I should have to pay £20 Hmm

it took them abit of persuasion but they passed me through to customer services who then refunded me straight away. Smile

Lorelai · 07/01/2011 16:32

Lucky, that sound delicious! Is that a recipe or something you made up? Can you give me more details?

My tip of the day is noodles; 1 nest of Waitrose egg noodles is only 2pp and quite filling (2 is better though!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2011 17:30

noodles may be my new pasta then - i object to losing 4/6p on 40/60g of pasta

i ate at harvester today, thought had the good healthy choice, have just read my book and simply chicken is 15pp - thats OVER half my daily points :(

i dont understand how or why - a jacket is 8 and chicken 4 so thats 12 - so why is it 15?

Lorelai · 07/01/2011 17:56

Portion size maybe blondes? Do check packaging for noodles though - I was surprised by how low in points they were and had to double check.

sweetheart · 07/01/2011 18:02

I've just pointed up my noodles for dinner and they were 3pp per slab - they are sharwoods ones I think.

So far I'm quite nicely surprised by how much I can fit into my points allowance - on the old scheme I was on 18 points and I found ti really hard!

Although it does keep crossing my mind that I can't possibly loose weight eating all this stuff so will see come Wednesday - for example, today I have only had 7 points so for dinner I am having
90g of pasta (which is how much the jar of sauce asks for)@ 9pp
pasta sauce @ 2pp
chicken breast @ 4pp
and maybe even a slice of garlic bread @ 2pp

now 17pp probably seems an awful lot for an evening meal but I'm trying to use my points up as I only ate 22 of my points yesterday.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2011 18:14

you only ate 22 of your pp? how? why? Grin

i seem to be eating all of my 20 pp and id i want a treat (crisps) i shall be going over :(

im assuming that if i go over my 20p then the calculator will subtract from my weekly 49 - is that right?

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2011 18:14

slip of finger 29 not 20 pp

sweetheart · 07/01/2011 18:17

Ummm well briefly I had
Breakfast - yogurt, fruit and tea
Lunch - wafer thin ham salad and fruit
snack - 3 cream crackers and philli, a cheesestring and a options hot chocolate
dinner - ww beef ravioli ready meal

sweetheart · 07/01/2011 18:19

I do have a horrible feeling I'm doing it wrong and next Wed I will have put on even more weight but I have checked and double checked to see if I have pointed thing incorrectly!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2011 18:34

maybe i need to eat free fruit for breakie

i had oats so simple and 1/2p skim 6p
simply chicken (harvester) 15
monster munch snack 3p

LEAVING 5pp for tea - what the hell can i eat for 5 p :(

hmc · 07/01/2011 18:41

Brilliant progress so far Wynken and Going on losing 2.5 stones and 27lbs respectively

Sorry to see you go furball - perhaps you can add this to the threads you are 'watching' to remind you to come and update us on your progress from time to time?

Well done Blondes on 3lb lost this week

Had to laugh Lucky on you pondering why you feel pooped - give the description of what you had packed into your day! Make sure you take some time to relax this weekend

Sweetheart - if you use a treadmill on a steep incline and/ or walk purposively combining arms etc, you can get a decent elevated heart rate that way and you will break a sweat; does you injury enable you to do that. Btw had to laugh at your description of tea tasting slimy Grin

Lobsters - enjoy your dd's birthday at the weekend

And vnmum the Weekdays recipes I have worked out so far are:

Bacon, leek and potato soup, p.35 - 4 propoints per portion

Pitta pizzas, p 5 - 6 propoints each

Spanish Ham and Bean Hotpot, p.10 - 4 propoints per portion

Lamb and lentil curry, p.65 - 9 propoints per portion

hmc · 07/01/2011 18:44

Blondes - your lunch was a bit points loaded.

How about some scrambled eggs for tea - perhaps 2 of them (4), with some grilled tomatoes and mushrooms in a spray of oil (1)?

Or you could just supplement with points from your weekly 49 like you suggested earlier...

hmc · 07/01/2011 18:45

I meant saute the mushrooms in the spray of oil Grin - the way I put it sounded a bit weird!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2011 18:48

alas the one thing i cant stand is mushrooms

horrible slimy monsters

'blondes heaves'

think i shall be delving in to my 49 bonus points

thats not good is it,on day one :(

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2011 18:49

tell me about it hmc - it was a chicken breast grilled not frind and a jacket no butter :(

still cant see how a jacket can be 8 pp

hmc · 07/01/2011 18:54

Hmmm - our weightwatchers leader said that jacket potatoes are weighted more heavily in the eating out guide than if prepared at home because you never quite know how restaurants have prepared them (perhaps coated the skin in oil and rock salt before baking, or added butter to finished spud) - so if you are really confident that it was a plain unadorned spud I would be tempted to reduce the points on it. It is roughly 1 propoint per 50g of potato I think, from memory

My kids had steak and mushroom pie from the Hearty Home Cooking recipe book for dinner tonight Blondes, and my six year old said that the mushroom had caused him to get a tiny bit of sick in his mouth!!!!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2011 19:11

but still 8pp for a small jacket = 157 of shop says that

but def no butter or chive dip :(

i quite understand your dc sickness to the slime monsters Grin

Setanta · 07/01/2011 19:25
