Thank you! Very clear! And I'd imagine more effective, as, indeed, you can really concentrate on the abs...

flatmouse · 26/01/2011 11:23

OK, marking my place here. DVD ordered (and in the post) due date Friday (fingers crossed).
Am both nervous and excited at the same time!
Having seen all your reports, will def make an effort to measure up before starting!

Those of you who have been doing it a while - it's really great to see comments about how long you've been going along with inches lost - coats buttoned up etc!

Will post again once i've attempted day 1.... wish me luck!

prettybird · 26/01/2011 12:25

Found you lot again :)

I'm on Day 10 third time around - did Day 2 of Level 2 this morning. Definitely getting stronger :) And dh says my tummy is much smaller now (not quite flat but getting there).

I have also lost 1 and a half stone - but that is also 'cos I have been dieting/calorie counting.

Like freebuttonbee I try and use Pliates techniques when do the abdominal exercises (and the warm down).

To the advice to keep pulling your belly button in to protect your back while doing the ab exercises, I'd suggest thinking about pulling it up as well as in - or to think about pulling up your pelvic floor while doing them (remember - all those pelvic floor exercises we were supposed to do did assiduously when we were pregnant and are supposed to do regularly for the rest fo our lives)

pepperonipizza · 26/01/2011 15:58

Hi all, I have been lurking and have done day 3 of level 1 this morning. I've got about 1.5 stones to lose. Talk me through your weight loss/ inch loss (I know a lot of you aren't losing any weight but are losing inches). It's a big motivator to hear that it's working for you all, and hard stats work even better for me!!

Forgot to measure myself before day 1, so am going to do it tonight, plus try on my pre pregnancy 'slim' jeans (which I can do up but have RIDICULOUS muffin top, so I can see what they fit like now and in a week or so. Oh I hope it works!!

herbaceous · 26/01/2011 16:08

Merciful lord. Just done day 3 of level 2, and sadly had to do full bouncing in cardio bits as my calves have healed up. Jesus. I'm buggered.

That last circuit is a killer. Those ghastly v-raises, and then plank jacks and THEN plank twist things!! My arms barely function.

Think my abs must be tightening up, but it's making my caesarian overhang even more pronounced. Anyone else got one, and is theirs going?

prettybird · 26/01/2011 16:55

The V-raises are the worst exercise of all 3 Levels. I hate them!

herbaceous · 26/01/2011 18:14

I must say, though, I do feel pretty fantastic. So much stronger, and even more flexible. And I'm sure my waist's got smaller. Makes my arse/saddlebag combo look even squarer and more gigantic in comparison, but hopefully that'll be next to shrink!

southeastastra · 26/01/2011 19:21

i feel knackered too - level two seems to be getting harder to do! have back ache and kneeache :(

southeastastra · 26/01/2011 19:22

have to say though, i love the funky organ music Grin

LadyOfTheFlowers · 26/01/2011 20:04

Herb - That's what I think too - the waist is coming in, fine, but it makes the bloody saddlebags look even bigger. Angry

bluebump · 26/01/2011 20:06

I managed to do 3 level 1's each week for the last fortnight but now my DS has been ill and I haven't done it all week this week and i'm busy until the weekend. It's going to hurt a lot when I get back into the swing of it and I was feeling like I was getting somewhere before the break, arrggh!

FreeButtonBee · 26/01/2011 20:18

Level 1 Day 3 - well it's not getting any easier! Strength still a bitch; slowed it down a bit which has helped my form but second batch of Anita press ups were a diaster, only managed one for every two that Jiliian did. Bah! But have done three days ina row, so probably muscles are getting a bit tired. Day off tomoroow as i have a work social thing (which will no doubt involve loads of rubbishy food) and then back on it Friday evening before i go to birthday drinks.

kkey21 · 26/01/2011 21:15

Day 16 (Day 6 of Level 2)

Wow and ouch, think i dread it as i know what is coming but every time i feel good afterwards.

I also went for a non-stop 10 minute run, not alot i know but could only manage a few minutes before this!

Body definately changing, just hope i can continue with this and my healthy eating to hit a weight i'm going to be happy with! x

southeastastra · 26/01/2011 21:16

you can't have a day off Grin

FreeButtonBee · 26/01/2011 21:45

Don' t be mean SEA! i am having tomorrow off and that's all there is to it!!!

anyone else having knee problems done day 10 level 1 both me and hubby now have a swelled knee!! had a rest from Jillian tonight and knocked the long walk on the head will get back to it tomorrow if our knees allow, Sad

hobbgoblin · 26/01/2011 23:12

just done 5th day. (bit late on the day Hmm) Weird how some bits are harder some days and others easier. I think psychological. Bloody vein hurts.

Knees mothernature? I have made a conscious effort when doing the knee circles, to make sure I feel my knee joints flexing. It's easy to do it and rely on hips and ankles to give the movement I reckon.

Also have you made sure you aren't extending over the knee with the lunges?

FoundWanting · 27/01/2011 13:12

Missed yesterday but piled in and tried level 2 today.

Managed about 3/4 of it before collapsing in a sweaty heap. I hate her.

Should I go back to level 1 or keep going on level 2? I don't seem to have the upper body strength for all this plank position stuff.

LostGirl · 27/01/2011 13:41

Keep going with level 2. The only way to get stronger at the plank is by doing the plank!

WorkInProgress · 27/01/2011 13:51

Hi Guys. I haven't posted on this tread but I am a real Killian convert. I got the DVD last Nov, did a bit and then started again in Jan. Mainly do level 3, but drop down a level if I am tired. Try to do other exercise as well if pos, but haven't been dieting. It has worked. I have lost nearly 2inches from waist and hips. Got easily into a new size 10 pair of jeans and am thinking of going bikini shopping for the first time in years. Have been doing davina dvds for years and none have been this effective.

BalloonSlayer · 27/01/2011 14:04

< whiney voice > I don't feel like shredding todaaaaaay. Sad

I am wearing some jeans I haven't worn for a while and they are just as tight as ever. Angry Mind you they look good and don't hurt.

I feel bored and lazy. Bleh.

To make matters worse, in the cooldown for Level 2 they seem to be playing Dreadlock Holiday by 10cc, which is No 4 on my All-time-Most-Hated-Songs-That-Other-People-Like list. (Since you asked: Hotel California, The Logical Song and Are Friends Electric)

herbaceous · 27/01/2011 15:06

Go Balloon Go! I will if you will!

I've been 'working from home' today, and am seizing up at the desk.

southeastastra · 27/01/2011 15:07

i have developed quite impressive arm muscles - it's the jelly belly i was gone though

pagwatch · 27/01/2011 15:14

Go and do it, don't delay.

I put it iff this morning and delayed just long enough to time my red faced flopping about withbthecarrival of the gardeners who can see straight down into the basement [sigh]

The punishment for prevarication.

I want to be leaner for April. I am trying to tone up and lose some weight before we go on holiday. I have visions of bikini and not endless demis roussous kaftans.

I can't shred at weekend but I am also doing yoga so I plan minimum of 5 during thevweek and doing 15 days on each level.

I have grand plans for level one day 3 don't I?
