Ah, that is reassuring, thanks MBCSmile I am combining it with a 60 min brisk walk each morning, so fingers crossed i see some benefits.

I guess level 2 is harder then?Wink

MyBrilliantCareer · 07/01/2011 22:21

Bloody hell, a 60 min brisk walk?

I'm currently successfully combining it with a day at work and a high calorie but tasty dinner.

Level 2 scares me. And I've done it for 2 days already.

Although saying that, my shoulders/chest/arms feel flexible and like they can actually be used in the way they were intended Grin

Level 3 does not bear thinking about.

tomhardyismydh · 07/01/2011 22:24

have not even looked at level 3, for i know it will be totaly defunked and must be returned to amazon on day 15. mwhaa ha ha

falsemessageoflethargy · 07/01/2011 23:10

Another one done - bits of level 2 very hard and some bits am not doing properly as it clearly doesnt hurt enough which is a worry as when I work it out its going to be bad.

kkey21 · 07/01/2011 23:15

Day 2 of Level 1...

Ouch already! Ache all over but will get through it!

Well done everyone-and lets keep this motivation going, i love it!

Bookedour summer holiday as an incentive and need to be toned and lighter by then!

MyBrilliantCareer · 07/01/2011 23:19

kkey21 IME the first 3 - 4 days are unbelievably hard.

But then it suddenly gets easier.

kkey21 · 07/01/2011 23:31

I am sticking with it this time-forever sick of saying 'oh sod it, can't be bothered'

I want that body-and i am prepared now to work for it!

Thanks MBC.

MyBrilliantCareer · 07/01/2011 23:32

It doesn't come for free haha!!!

tomhardyismydh · 07/01/2011 23:36

Smile thank you tomhardy. I'm also going to do a Bikram yoga class tomorrow (if I'm going to start training for a marathon, my back needs to be in good condition) and join a gym to get on the treadmill.

Must. Do. This.

tomhardyismydh · 08/01/2011 00:05

we will do it. im off to bed now though have level 2 to contemplate.

BalloonSlayer · 08/01/2011 08:14

I have had the worst night's sleep I've had for ages.

Had veggie chilli, ice cream and Far Too Much Wine for dinner. Then 3 year old got in bed with us in the middle of the night, kicked me in the back for the remainder. Totally overheated due to Far Too Much Wine and extra person in bed. Plus my "Jillian Legs" meant I couldn't get comfy.

I am looking forward to doing my day 4 just to get all the garlic and wine out of my system.

Um, I'd say it depends on how easy you find it.

If you don't struggle I think you should move up.

Personally I think the reason we all ache so much is that the warm-up and cool-down stretches are inadequate, in order to save time. When I go to aerobics classes I never hurt afterwards because they spend a long time stretching it out afterwards. Perhaps you are just lucky, or very flexible? Envy

Yeah I reckon you could give Level 2 a go MyLife. Would it mean though that you would need to do more days on level 2 or 3? I'm thinking boredom factor after a while. Could you maybe modify Level 1 to make it more intense?

Level 1 Day 5 just done (thanks to the encouragement to keep going) and I'm so glad I did. I feel great! I actually managed to kick my butt during the buttkicks today, which was a first, huzzah. I did reward myself with a bottle of Corona afterward though :o

Dh promises he'll get back into it tomorrow (even if just to keep me company!)

Does anyone else find they are eating more? I find myself starving all the time! Need to find healthy things to eat...

IShallWearMidnight · 08/01/2011 10:18

still no bloody DVD Angry. Just when i was all motivated as well.

MyBrilliantCareer · 08/01/2011 10:28

SlantyBaws I'm always starving now! It's driving me crazy because I'm getting caught out, and then have something unhealthy to satisfy my hunger, or need to leave work early and rush home and cook some food immdiately. And if I don't shred before dinner....

DVD arrived this morning Grin. I put little DS down for a nap and went straight to it....I'm shaky, sweaty and think I am going to hurt tomorrow!! It is good but i did struggle with some of the arm work as I am so weak. Also did it with a port/champagne/rose hangover too Shock

falsemessageoflethargy · 08/01/2011 11:05

I asked dh what I was doing wrong and sure enough I was arching my back and not in the plank position - got into the proper position and couldnt do it at all Sad am going back to level one to do the press ups properly so that my arms are strong enough for level two iyswim.

Mmmango · 08/01/2011 12:53

Day 11: Level 2 day 4.
Can't get through the cardio still without some marching on the spot. I'm sure level 1 felt more energising and less deathly. And I'm still cheating using filled water bottles instead of weights. yes, mylife... - far too much bloody plank

Having said that I can definitely see a difference in arms, waist and hips - not bad going for less than 2 weeks of exercise. And I'm not waking up in pain like before, it's just harder to get through the 20 mins.

falsemessage, don't worry about it, you'll be back at level 2 in no time. I'm curious how level 1 will feel - think i have some misplaced nostalgia about it: "you're strong! this is eeeasy for you" vs. "i want you to feel like you're going to die"

LadyOfTheFlowers · 08/01/2011 13:23

Level 1 day 4.

:o I DID ALL THE BICYCLE CRUNCHES TODAY!! :o

For the first time.

I need to tell you guys as you will understand - DH looked at me like this: Hmm 'That's great babe'
