Slantybaws I'd agree just push though - I found it actually helped the pain go away quicker than having a break. Although I know exactly how you feel...and as for roping DH back in...give him a shoulder massage? If it's serious get him to a good physio. Otherwise tell him to stop moaning? Hmmm...as you can see, I have no idea Grin

Yes I've not made any breakthroughs into coping with Level 2 yet. Did yesterday's this morning and I still need to take a break twice. Wierdly though, my arm muscles aren't hurting - am I doing it wrong?

belindarose · 07/01/2011 10:38

Okay, I now have DVD (still in cellophane), weights, mat and sports bra. No more excuses except...we're going to in laws today for a week. I can't start it there! SO, next Saturday is my start day. I've written it in my diary. Cannot buy new jeans until I've done 30 days (holes in all mine and really need new ones). I WILL do it! Well done those of you who've already got off your arses!

tomhardyismydh · 07/01/2011 10:49

just finished level 1 day 4(i think) watched level 2 whilst doing some stretches and feel I could manage it, shall I skip on to it now or just follow the ten days on each level.

it looks far more varied Im already fed up of the same sequance.

hope you have done it slantybaws. Wink

i think i can see a difference already in my inner thighs?? or is it just my eyes deciving me?? Hmm

belindarose · 07/01/2011 11:48

See, your inner thigh news is helping me cope with postponing the jeans buying. Hoping to get to the point where mine don't rub together!

falsemessageoflethargy · 07/01/2011 12:02

tomhardy - level 2 is a bit odd - its less in soem ways and much more so in others - unlike MBC I find it much harder on the arms but easier on the thighs than level 1 - andI definately haveto do the easy version - the hard version looks punishing.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 07/01/2011 12:04

TomHardy - are you on day 4?
I am on day 3 - I will go check my massive hams thighs immediately.

While doing my research before purchase I did see some photos of a lady who had really noticeable tonage (even a word?) by day 6. :)

Just done todays - DS2 (3) brought me water 'think you need this mum' and my brother witnessed me 'shredding' yesterday and informed me I look like 'hammered shit'.
I replied 'Good - it must be doing something then!'
:o

DaydreamDolly · 07/01/2011 12:15

Ooh glad I found this thread, I started this on Monday but I work Tues and Thurs so have only managed to do it Mon and Weds so far, am supposed to be doing it now but can't be arsed will do it later instead.
I was very cocky after doing level 1 on Monday and decided to do level 2 on Wednesday. Big mistake. Big. Huge.
Back to level 1 for me once I can stand up straight again.

DaydreamDolly · 07/01/2011 12:29

Oh and I am shredding cos my arse is huge I put on half a stone over Christmas, and before that I already had about 10 lbs to lose to be at pre pregnancy weight. And DD is 18 months old... ho hum.
Have been healthy eating too but not sure how many calories, probably not a lot so should probably up that. What a shame.

Mmmango · 07/01/2011 12:44

Day 10, level 2 done. (3rd day at level 2).

Still can't through it without a break, and was actually upset to realise the last set of abs is done from plank pose (so no lie down). Am getting the hang of the moving ones though (finally).

And definitely look better - compliments today from dp and someone at work, so my massive hips may be finally coming under control. Have to remember that if I'm having trouble with motivation over the weekend.

VivaLeBeaver · 07/01/2011 12:49

I've just come back to this after a break. Only did it 3x in Nov/Dec last year.

So new start for me - Day 1, Level 1. Managed to go the whole way through it to the end which was a nice suprise. Didn't quite manage to do all the lateral raises though. I kept squatting but had to put my weights down halfway through, they are really heavy ones though. Need to get some lighter ones but can't afford any at the minute so will soldier on with the ones I have.

mermaidspurse · 07/01/2011 12:54

viva local sainsburys had sets of weights for 7.50 the other day.

Spamspamspam · 07/01/2011 13:12

Advice please? My legs are absolutely killing me, did not help that I went and had a riding lesson this morning, first one for about three years! However irrespective of the riding my legs were killing me the moment I woke up - what do the rest of you do, carry on through the pain or wait for pain to go and start up again OR do some of you not get pain when starting? I remember going to a personal trainer years ago and she recommended carrying on through the pain something to do with lactic acid and muscles stretching blah blah blah....

Anyone? Thanks Grin

falsemessageoflethargy · 07/01/2011 13:22

You carry on spam and it does go...honest Grin

Mmmango · 07/01/2011 13:39

Carry on Spam, carry on...

BalloonSlayer · 07/01/2011 13:40

I am about to do my Day 3. I am a bit worried my legs will crumple under me. I had to grab the sink to sit down on the loo in the middle of the night. Confused

I thought my tummy looked a bit different this morning though. Wishful thinking?

OK here goes chaps.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 07/01/2011 13:51

Yes, burn on, through the pain! :)

BalloonSlayer - I'm the same with the loo and coming down the stairs is interesting, going up is ok now...
'Ow, fuck, ouch, shit, bugger, ouch, arse, fuck....' etc

I come down really fast to minimise pain, much to everyones' amusement.

VivaLeBeaver · 07/01/2011 13:55

Mermaid I'll check out Sainsbury's, thanks.

fishie · 07/01/2011 14:11

hello shreddies. i am on level 2 have just done three days of it. am going for a 10k run for a rest instead this afternoon.

john lewis have 1k weights for £6.95 each, have replaced my soup tins.

also i have an enormous puppy and it jumps on me when I do abs.

VivaLeBeaver · 07/01/2011 14:41

How many calories do you think a level one session burns?

Spamspamspam · 07/01/2011 16:04

okay thanks...although not sure how I am going to carry on...been taking 2 nurofen every four hours and family helping me take boots off and put on slippers, absolute agony..... :( BalloonSlayer your description of going to the toilet seems very familiar Grin

vnmum · 07/01/2011 16:30

Shock at fishies 10k run for a rest Grin

IShallWearMidnight · 07/01/2011 16:47

my DVD is STILL not here , and I'm getting more and more apprehensive reading how everyone is getting on. Hopefully tomorrow though.

BalloonSlayer · 07/01/2011 16:55

Done my Day3, Level 1

Gawd my legs!

It must start getting better soon? They felt OK when I was actually doing it though.

tomhardyismydh · 07/01/2011 17:47

spams and ballon i have just done day 4 today and can say I am pain free after my work out and bath this morning.

Yesterday and the day before I also could not manage the stairs or toilet with out agony.

yesterday and today I did do some extra stretches and as soon as work out was over I got in the hottest bath I could manage and stayed submurged in it untill it was almost room temp, that way the muscles slowly cool down and dont go from hot to cold too quickly, some good advice I learned from a personal trainer many moons ago.

Anyway I have battled thorugh it and despite some aches this morning I am pain free now.

I swear this is what helped
