I'm with you BoffinMum - DH out tonight so no proper meal for me - instead i have glass of white wine (with bottle in a cooler bag next to me!!!) and cheese sandwich - might as well make the most of not dieting seeing as i will be doing for much of 2011.

Bring on the scales in a few days time!!!

I'm in please!
Lost lots last year and put plenty back on.
I am actually looking forward to getting back into healthy living again. Feeling sluggish and bleugh at the moment.

Pebbles - do I know you from NAPM?

WST - what's NAPM?

WorldsSlowestTypist · 28/12/2010 19:51

Obviously mistaken identity!
NAPM is Not a Pushy Mum - it is a site for mums whose children are into performing arts.
A lovely lady called Pebbles has been posting there for years.

Hmm, I ma not big into biscuit - but I guess this is the sort of habits we need to crack. I like to eat when DS gone to bed and if I'm honest I'm not hungry, just like to do it - stupid really. Crisps are my downfall, oh and food Grin

Can I join you all please? :)

No idea how much I weigh yet, am too scared to get on scales and find out the awful truth! Am a good size 20 (creeping into a size 22), I'd like to get back to a size 14, last seen many years ago. I think I have about 5-6 stone to lose ideally, but I'd be happy with half that by June!

Am planning on cutting out crap food, lots of veg etc. Have just looked at the shred dvd and feel a little bit faint.....

see you all next week :)

count me in, it will be good motivation to hear everyones success stories.(positive attitude!) i am overweight by about 3 stones, which is reason enough to lose weight but what has really spurred me into action is a troublesome varicose vein in my shin which actually burst whilst i was speaking to someone. the bleeding was internal and not really a threat to me healthwise but after i have some treatment for it i will have to walk 3 miles each day and so i thought i would take the whole situation as a wake up call to get my act together, who knows i might even lose enough to bag a hunky guy (LP for 18mths)

oh god yes the evenings are the worst, when DC are in bed the first thing i do is have a brew and biscuit, ok i'll be honest a biscuit or three. I can actually knit but i already feel like i'm turning into my mum when i listen to the things i tell the DC

Can I join please. I went to SW tonight and weighed in at 14st 11 - the last time I weighed that was February 2009 so I'm a bit cheesed off.

Lowest I've got to in the last two years is 13st 13 so I'm aiming for that to start with but I'd really like to get into a size 14 (currently an 18) which I think will be about 12.5-13st. I am 5' 11" so can 'carry it off' (if there's such a thing) however my arse is in danger of taking over the world and I've got back fat.

So I've just celebrated my weight gain by scoffing a box of mint matchmakers. I'm going to half-heartedly follow the plan this week but am starting seriously from next Tuesday morning.

I'm also restarting my running tomorrow as haven't been for a month or so due to the weather. I only started in June and managed to get up to five miles by mid-October. So aiming to build that back up again.

I'd like to join too please. Am breastfeeding 7 week old dd, and have used that as an excuse to eat with abandon, plus Christmas, plus I'm naturally greedy ... My thighs are fatter than before dd was born. Am 12 stone and would like to be 10 stone, so aim to reach that goal by May, when we hope to have a summer holiday. We live in a tower block, and one thing I'll be doing will be walking up each flight of stairs from the bottom floor to the top, several times. I did this last time I lost weight - 5 years ago - and it really helped my fitness as well.

can I join too? i have three stone to lose. My downfall is something sweet to keep me going mid afternoon. and lack of activity.

i need to find some healthly snacks, step up my gym visits and eat smaller portions.
i am 13 and a half stone and want to get back down to 10 and a half.
