Here is the new thread for us to achieve success in Xmas Smile

Old thread is here

I'll change my name to my "Christmas" one after Saturday: I'm helping to organise the Scottish Mumsnet Christmas meet-up and it might confuse things if I change my name.

Hey Mrs Blondes!
Do you ever hear from PBM? If so send her my love!

Am making carrot and Ginger soup later

I am going to ask DH for the 30 Day shred for chritsmas, good idea?!

prettybirdinapeartree · 14/12/2010 08:45

I've been doing the Shred and I'm sure that it has helped me, in combination with the calorie counting, to squeeze get back into my size 12 clothes (even if I wouldn't yet wear them in public Blush).

I'm on the 2nd time through, and certain excercies that I couldn't even begin the first time through I am now doing Xmas Smile

So yes, it's a good idea.

GettinFestive · 14/12/2010 10:03

Yes the shred is great.

Well done on your size 12s pretty.

dd is in bed, she's still feeling hot and out of sorts but drinking milk and watching CBeebies. I am knackered as disturbed night again last night with her, she was crying having some sort of nightmare Sad

I went out for dinner last night, bns soup then lentil and nut bake with roast spuds and boiled spuds (surprisingly tasty!) followed by christmas pud which defeated me. Fingers crossed for weigh in this week.

Also going to mince pies and sherry this pm at the school, annual shindig for volunteers Xmas Smile

bebe Justin and Andy in snowmen outfits, no wonder your dd had nightmares!

Smalline · 14/12/2010 10:15

Sts the same again last week, which I'm not very happy with, have not lost anything in the last 3 weeksXmas Sad.

Am trying harder this week, plan to have 3-4 alcohol free nights, exercise more, drink more water & eat more fruit and veg. Hopefully I'll have a better result this weekXmas Hmm.

Just treated myself to a load of new White Stuff clothes! Very excited! I hardly ever buy myself new clothes, despite having lost loads of weight!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely evening!

I have been quite good today, although I fear I may have eaten too much marzipan! Xmas Hmm

RatherBeOnTheMulledWine · 15/12/2010 06:37

I love White stuff!! I bought a sort of dress/ tunic top v recently. You certainly deserve some lovely new clothes following your amazing achievement this year!

bebeinamanger · 15/12/2010 08:30

I got 2 tunics & a waistcoat/cardigan & a pair of leggings! Got Boden voucher coming! I shall need a bigger wardrode at this space, although I have more of a floordrobe at the moment coz the actual wardrode has presents in it rather than clothes!

Why is it DD always has a lie in on a Weds when toddlers starts at 9?! Xmas Hmm

prettybirdinapeartree · 15/12/2010 09:29

Fantastic news bebe. I bet you'll get very glamorus and slim in all these great new clothes Xmas Smile - or should that be Xmas Envy? Xmas Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/12/2010 17:42

yahoo - have been accepted into a nhs dentist

Dentist will do my root canal for £46 - that's less than a 1/10th of the price my private dentist was charging!!!

£530 if you have forgotten

They have a few spaces left for new patients

'rushes hubby in quickly'

:) :) :) :) :)

prettybirdinapeartree · 15/12/2010 17:56

Bebe - my GP has just diagnosed trochanteric bursitis in me too Shock Mine must be a really mild case though compared to yours - I've just been getting intermittent pain (mostly during the night and very ill-defined) and only once or twice specific pain while walking. I've been prescribed some anti-inflammatories and told to try to see the physios (although they operate a self-referral system and are notoriously difficult to get hold of unless you go and wait to see one at one of their drop-in clinics), although he hopes that the course of diclofenac (sp?) will be enough.

prettybirdinapeartree · 15/12/2010 18:01

Blondes: that's really good news. :) (Shows how much work dh needed done that even on the NHS it still cost c.£300! Shock

I was looking up the dentist's number today and found this review - so we're not the only ones who think he is great! :) I've even recommended him to another Glaswegian mumsnetter, who was struggling to find an NHS dentist, as I knew that they had just taken taken on a new dentist - and she is really pleased too.

bebeinamanger · 15/12/2010 18:11

Pretty - GP isn't even 100% sure that that's what is wrong with me. Hmm Hip is mildly better since injection but pelvis is still agony :( Our physios are self-referral too, it is useless! diclofenac did nothing for me at all. Hope it helps you, GP said it varies person to person what works! Plus I'd been having pain for at least 2 months before I had the injection & it definitely got worse in that time!

Blondes - Woohoo! Glad they can squeeze you in and fix your tooth! :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/12/2010 19:12

yah for new clothes

yah for nhs dentists

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/12/2010 19:13
